Loved Orlando's! Went on a Friday night around 6 p.m. There were plenty of people there but we were able to get seated right away as a party of 4. Our server was very nice, key checking to make sure we had everything we needed, and explained when we had questions. The cheese garlic knots were THE BEST I have ever had!!! They had so much flavor as well as the marinara sauce. I ate two at dinner and the rest of breakfast the next morning While they did start to become busier while we were there, especially with take out orders and pick up orders, the team seemed to get along well and they all worked together. We've had Orlando's pizza before at takeout. I thought it was very good but at somebody else's house it was not hot and I could not reheat it. I told my wife our next Pizza outing we're gonna go there. We went there last Saturday night. We're from the New York metropolitan area and we're raised on excellent Pizza. We've been in South Carolina since 1991 in Mount Pleasant for three years. During this time we've always looked for a good Pizza. When we got in restore bar was empty and we chose to sit there we usually do that at a new restaurant to get more information from the server and establish a relationship to return. The atmosphere was different large open space with thousands of boxes neatly stacked. I guess they have a fantastic takeout business. Our server was good but stoic. We ordered the Barada salad and a small margarita pizza when the Barrada salad came out the first thing I ate was a cherry tomato and it was ice cold so I decided I'll drink my beer and let it warm up unfortunately at the same time the pizza came right out before we touched our salad not good timing unless they're trying to get you out fast since I want hot pizza I eat the pizza first the crust was excellent cooked. Perfect we like it. Well done and it was delicious. When the salad warmed up, we finished that too. There were no leftovers. I was a little confused when sitting at the bar on the tables there red pepper, and Parmesan cheese are in takeout packets. Overall, I think this is one of the best pizzas I've had in Mount Pleasant. Such a great spot. They truly know how to make NY style pizza. Mozzarella Garlic Knots were so soft and warm. Ordered the supreme style 10in pizza and the cheese pull and pizza fold passed the test. I would love to give this establishment a 4 star rating because the food we received was very good. I am only giving 2 stars because of the unethical business practice of not having their patrons best interest at heart. We are visiting from Ohio and ordered pizza over the phone from this business. I specifically told the girl that only "specialty" pizzas were displaying on the website. I asked if they had a list of toppings we could choose from because NOTHING was showing. She asked what we wanted, I told her and when we got to the onions-she said "what kind"? "Any price difference between the 3?"----"Nope" she said. So clearly, my question reflected that price was in the back of my mind. I was told 15" and arrived right at that time since I thought that was PDQ! Fast forwarding a bit...the pizza was removed from a warming oven and handed to me as well as, our hotel was 1 block away and still the pizza was lukewarm when we opened the box. My "unethical" assessment with this business is that when the gentleman ringing me up (who looked to be a manager) put the price in for our 5 item 18" pizza and order of meatball (5-1 and 1/2" balls in the order) was $53.??--he remarked, "WOW, that is one expensive pizza"! I said "yes, it is. Why am I being charged so much?" He went on to say FOR NEXT TIME...I SHOULD HAVE ORDERED AS CLOSE TO ONE OF THE SPECIALTY PIZZAS, BECAUSE THEY ARE CHEAPER FOR MORE ITEMS. Now, I want you to picture this...he is saying this all while opening the menu and pointing to the specialty pizzas. I said---YOU MEAN, LIKE THIS SUPREME PIZZA RIGHT HERE THAT ONLY HAS 1 ITEM MORE THAN EVERYTHING I ORDERED???? Uh, well, yes, sort of like that FOR NEXT TIME. What an asshole. He basically illustrated right in front of me how conniving that establishment was being!!! Even the girl taking the order could have "redirected" me to asking for a Supreme Pizza without the ham!!! And yes, on top of that exorbitant price...they do add on a surcharge for credit cards making our bill $56.??. Now was I going to stand in that pizza joint and make a scene? No- cuz I am not going to be back. But I feel this story reflects the type of customer service and KINDNESS they extend to their patrons. It's a sad day when you have to "learn the system" to manipulate your order to get the best pricing!!!! That experience left a bad taste for me that clouded my otherwise delicious pizza and meatballs. We are planning to retire in this area in 5 years. I guess I will have to make it my goal to explain to this type of establishment that it will be the consistent LOCALS that will keep the establishments going!!! One of our fav pizza spots! I enjoy the crust in particular. I do wish the pizza held a bit more structure especially toward the center where it does flop a bit and gets a bit chewier--but it's still delicious. We also had an order of the cheese garlic knots which were delicious. Service was fast and they regularly came by to refill our waters. Parking was easy and it's a very accessible location next to Grace and Grit so there should be no problem with parking. read more

We tried Orlando's since it was right by our hotel and we needed something to share. I ordered online and picked up 15 mins later. I ordered a large pepperoni and sausage and 5 piece garlic knots. The pizza was good, not amazing but will fit the bill. I did enjoy the garlic knots with marinara. I think they were my favorite. Definitely try the knots and a good choice if wanting pizza. Orlando's has been my go to spot for a few years now- the service is fast, the staff is kind, and most of all the pizza is just amazing! Orlando's is one of the only pizza shops that I can order just cheese pizza and it be the best thing I eat all day. Usually I go crazy with toppings, but that's how good this pizza is. The margarita is tasty and saucy but the cheese is where it's at. Their crust just has such a perfect taste to it; it tastes like you got a slice of pizza from the Jersey boardwalk. I have tried a great deal of pizzas in Charleston but I have to say Orlando's is one I keep coming back to. There is one location in Mount Pleasant and the original location on Daniel Island. The feel in both restaurants is just very cozy and welcoming. They also have a great lunch deal on week days where you can get a ceasar salad, slice of cheese, and a drink for about 10$. We loved the convenient location and decent sized parking lot which is always a good start. The large indoor dining area is split with an interior/large bar area (rather dark) and a bright, windowed section, which is where we sat. Our server, Mike, came to our table quickly (and checked on us several times through our meal). Orlando's has a full bar and specializes in Italian cocktails and wines; however, for tonight, it was a Sam Adams Oktoberfest for hub and water for me. (Boring ... sorry!) While the garlic knots and burrata app looked wonderful, we had already checked out the menu selections on line and decided on an 18" pizza, and 2 side/small salads. My hub's small Caesar ($6.99) was generous ... comprised of crispy, fresh romaine, crunchy seasoned croutons, Romano cheese ... served with a creamy, nicely seasoned, thick, tasty dressing on the side. My side Greek ($6.99) was a good sized blend of fresh romaine, spinach, black olives, cukes, tomatoes, red onions, roasted red peppers, mushrooms and banana peppers, served with a Greek dressing on the side. Mighty tasty! We usually go for a heavy meaty pizza; however, this time, we selected the Supreme ($26.99). It came out quickly, topped with a tasty tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, 'real' sausage, ham, mushrooms and onions. The cornicione was delicious, closer to that 'NY look and taste' that I miss. Hub loved the thin crust. This would not have been my choice, as I prefer a more traditional crust ... but, it is the only option at Orlando's. We couldn't pass up the freshly stuffed cannolis with its shell dipped in chocolate and had two, packed to go. I wish the menu had more options such as Stromboli, calzones, pressed sandwiches, etc., more dough options, i.e., thick, traditional, etc. and sizes (they only have 10" and 18") but we will stop by Orlando's again and definitely add them to my take-out rotation. read more

Just moved to Charleston and wanted to check out the pizza scene. This place looked legit on the pictures, and I think so far it's my top 5 fav pizza here. We were sat quickly, and pizza came out fast as well. We got a half cheese half pepperoni. The waiter was very nice and informed us to sit inside since a storm was coming. We also ordered cheesy garlic knots and WOW were they great. Soft, cheesy and garlicy. The pizza sauce is delicious, tastes very fresh and flavorful. The waiter said owners are from NJ. I grew up in NJ and it tastes close to NJ/NY pizza (at least for me). They are also generous on the wine pour. Will def be back for sure. read more

In hindsight we should've ordered the 10" pizza but at least we know for next time. lol The cheese garlic knots were really good and full of flavor. Definitely recommend these. The pizza was perfect. Perfect crispness to the crust, perfect amount of sauce and toppings. While we didn't dine in, the interaction I did have with the staff was really good and they were all so helpful with the questions I had. I was visiting Charleston and we needed some place to eat. I think we looked this place up on either Yelp or Google. It nice reviews and the food look good. The day that we went it was empty. I don't know why but there was only maybe a couple people in there. We were immediately seated in a booth a nice big booth at that. I ordered a lemon martini. It was delightful and delicious. We also ordered pizza, meatballs, salad. Everything came relatively quickly. The meatballs were not what I thought they would be. They looked beautiful and tasty but in actuality they were kind of mushy with no flavor. I don't know what they were made from but they were just very soft with no seasoning. I was disappointed in that because they looked so good. Moving on the salad can't go wrong with salad it was good. Now the pizza OMG. It reminded me of pizza in New York or Philly.
