When we brought our friends, my gal ordered a hamburger and I asked the waitress if she could have the wagyu, rather than the angus burger, she readily said yes and my gal marveled over the burger...fast forward to the last experience, the waitress said she'd have to order the wagyu as posted and it "wasn't available" as a stand alone order. So my gal settled for the angus burger and again, the wait was a bit long and as we were considering to leave, the waitress showed up, gave us our food and left. the onion rings were cold...literally...they had been out so long that they weren't even warm (our prior experiences the onion rings arrived hot and delicious). Again we waited for our waitress to return and my gal had to ask another waitress if she could get us some hot onion rings. That waitress noted the cold onion rings and brought them back to the kitchen to prove we weren't being unreasonable, which was a greatly appreciated gesture on her part. Very promptly, the "other" waitress brought our onion rings, apologizing profusely...we thanked her and when my gal started into her Caesar salad, it was inedible....soggy, nearly tasteless and resembling a hot spinach salad with soggy lettuce than a crisp Caesar salad....the upside, the second batch of onion rings were up to their usual excellent standard, the burger was good, but not the intensity of flavor their wagyu burger had. If we hadn't been semi-regulars, it is a near certainty we wouldn't go back, but we aren't going to let a single experience unravel years of good experiences.

We waited about 5 minutes after being given menus before a "server" came over. This man seemed to think we were there for entertainment. Everything that came out of his mouth was loud and somewhat irritating. He wouldn't stop with the poor humor and refused it seemed to just act professionally. Placing our order was uncomfortable. We ordered a burger and salad for my wife and 12 wings for myself. When ordering, the server kept saying "AND" after we would state what we wanted. He was trying to push us to order more? He continued to a point that we almost got up and walked out. What he failed to realize was that we were out for a simple and quiet late afternoon meal, not a Gong Show audition by him. Almost 35 minutes passed. Yes, 35 minutes. The server stopped by and believe it or not, grabbed the table side ordering device and had to check to see if HE actually put in the order. He left and returned about 5 minutes later with the order. The wings were inedible. The first thing I noticed is they were dried out. Not even warm on the outside yet somewhat steamy on the inside. The sauce was dried out on most of them. And then came the taste test. Have you ever eaten wings that were old? The wings were so salty I almost spit them out. I held back due to being in a public area. The worst. Salt beyond understanding. I tried a second and the same thing. I had my wife try part of another and she gagged. My wife's burger was tasteless. It fell apart, all 1/4 inch thickness. Nothing better than a low end Walmart frozen patty. When I attempted to get the server to raise the issue, he was too busy socializing and cracking jokes with a table a few feet away. He and another server were telling all sorts of stories with people at the table. It took us around 7 minutes to finally flag down a bus boy to go get his attention. When the server came over, he addressed me initially as though I was making a mistake, almost questioning my concern. He asked to replace the wings and I said no. What was served was awful. The items weren't prepared with the wrong sauce or undercooked, these were "off". It took the server over 10 more minutes to remove the item from our bill. As we were moving out of the booth to leave, the manager came over and couldn't care any less. She made a non-serious gesture by asking if there was something she could order for us, AS WE WERE LEAVING. She demonstrated no concern, no apology, no empathy etc. She never came over to even ask for our input from the original issue. She didn't care, plain and simple. She dismissed us as though she was wasting her time even talking to us. I have a gift card balance of around $14 that will forever go unspent. The establishment is open all year round; however, it's most 'happening' during those two events. It's a great spot to take a break and kick back in one of their chairs on the lawn in front of the building to enjoy an adult beverage, smoke a cigar or something more potent, and watch all the motorcycles go by. Traffic slows down here so you have an opportunity to see all the unique and custom bikes and people wearing all their wild biker garb. There are also hundreds of people walking back and forth between Iron Horse Saloon and Broken Spoke to see the big bands at each location, so you have an opportunity to see and meet a lot of cool and unique people if you're chilling here. During the larger motorcycle events motorcycle parking (in the general area) is typically $5 but you can find free spots if you know where to look. Parking for cars is usually around $20 but you can find $10 spots. Pricing fluctuates depending on how high capacity will be that evening; essentially, if Hair Ball is playing it's $20 for a car unless you arrive earlier in the day. The bar can get packed inside; they have some tables for dining-in but they are limited. There is also a nice patio in the back with more tables for dining. There is a stage for bands and there are usually bands playing all day during the big bike events. I don't think I've seen a 'bad band' here yet. I haven't eaten dinner here but we have tried their Sunday breakfast bar in the past. The buffet is $7 and it starts at 8:00am. A group of us like to go up in the morning to see the happenings here and before heading over to Broken Spoke, Iron Horse, or Teddy Morse's Harley to catch whatever early morning activities are going on. Staff is friendly, but it can be difficult getting a drink at times during peak hours. They don't have any beer stations around where you can just grab a beer and go like at main street, most people are passing through from Iron Horse to Broken Spoke and vice-versa, so they are more likely to order drinks at those two locations. There are some that might hang here for a while but they are usually waiting for an event to start somewhere else and just want to relax somewhere different for a while. It's not the cleanest place around and the bathrooms can get trashed here during large events. Honestly your best option for a restroom is the Porto potties at the Broken Spoke because they hire staff to maintain them during the events. You will find that the Porto Potties at Broken Spoke are much cleaner than the ones at Iron Horse. All-in-all, Beaver Bar is a great place to visit during the larger motorcycle events and if you're looking for a great spot to get away from the larger crowds, shop for a while, get a quick bite to eat, and relax for a few, than Beaver Bar is the place.

We've tried just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Our waitress was friend and attentive; making sure we were never lacking in napkins or drinks. The atmosphere was, as always, family friendly with lots of families surrounding us, and everyone seemingly having a good time.
