This gentleman has obvious mental health issues and was looking for a reason to have conflict with someone. Oro's has a clear sign outside and has for years that no outside food or drink is allowed (as many of the restaurants do)... it's common sense and respectful to not bring in outside items. The family and team here is so kind, patient and consistently great. To post multiple reviews all over due to such a simple request to respect the rules, shows more about this individual "Jim" than the restaurant. I want to add... this gentleman asked for the owner when he approached he used a racial slur... again this reviewer has a chip on a shoulder that has nothing to do with this family. Got our food to go and it was nice and hot. Crab melt, oyster bacon sandwich and fries were great! Clam chowder and oyster stew were not. As other reviews said, it was mostly just cream. The stew was not thick at all and was 3 oysters in buttery thin soup. We didn't eat the soups but denoted the sandwiches. Would definitely go back and just not get the soups. read more

We had a late breakfast here just last week. The food was really good and the server very nice. I also want to add some context to the previous review that said it was implied they would not accommodate a car seat. This is simply not true. The restaurant has a sign on the door letting patrons know that due to space issues they can't allow strollers in the dining room. I think the only thing implied is that they can't accommodate strollers. It's a safety issue. read more

These service was very quick and efficient. I ordered a pineapple mimosa, and they gave me both a small bottle and a little bit of pineapple juice aside to keep pouring in my glass and I thought that was just so neat. The fish and chips paired so well with the clam chowder they served there. I also have to mention the oyster stew was absolutely delicious. And finally the ambience and environment was so cozy and welcoming the area around the restaurant is great for just peering out of the windows. It was an amazing experience. read more

Friendly and warm environment with a beautiful central open fireplace and lots of original logs to give it a super cozy feeling. Came for breakfast and enjoyed an omelet and hashed browns and some good strong coffee! Family feel and servers are quite nice and helpful. Recommend highly! read more

Had breakfast there one morning and loved the meal. The crab eggs Benedict was delicious and I like they offer hash browns as the starch alternative. The inside is cozy with all the wood and it is very relaxing meal. Service was efficient and friendly. Wish the Bloody Mary's were a little bigger for the price but still good. Ordered the halibut fish 'n chips. Fish wasn't fresh. Smelled old and tasted like it. Was flabby. Pieces were as thin as fillet of sole. Halibut should be thick. The owner came to the table and despite me being kind and gentle he denied any problems with the fish. I asked him to taste it. He declined. He left. Thought he was headed to the kitchen to check on his halibut freshness. Never came back. I was hoping for my meal to be remade. Later a server came by and asked how everything was. I repeated my "fish story" and added how good the cole slaw was (it really was). She apologized and took the entree off the bill. I was pleasantly surprised. Didn't expect that. read more

This place has such a cozy vibe to it with a fireplace in the middle. My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast on our way out of cannon beach. The staff here is so lovely and friendly. I ordered the French toast and eggs. It came with either sausage or bacon, but I substituted for hashbrowns instead. The eggs and hashbrowns were a bit bland and needed to be seasoned. I did like how crispy the hashbrowns were. I asked for cheese on my eggs, but they put it on my hashbrowns, which isn't a huge deal as I end up eating both together. The French toast was delicious, but I do wish it was a bit crispier at least among the edges. My boyfriend got the 2 eggs with pancakes and sausage and a side of hashbrowns. He said the sausage was cooked really well and he enjoyed the dish overall. The total for $42, my dish was $16 and his was $18 with an extra $6 for hashbrowns. It is definitely overpriced for the food you get in my opinion. There was nothing special that necessarily stood out to us. It is a good breakfast/lunch place in town and they do have plenty of options available. read more

The restaurant has a really cool decoration style and cabin feel to it. The oyster shooter was good but it was a little bit small but it wasn't very expensive that's to be expected. We got seated right by the fireplace under the giant metal crab. Our server was super attentive and friendly. I got the deep fried oyster platter and it was pretty good. The bacon was really crispy but the oysters were a bit on the tougher side. Overall was really yummy and would come again to try some of the other items! read more

Immensely friendly male servers, but the female hostess had a morbid disposition. We are visiting from Nevada, and had brunch here. The food was OK, nothing out of the ordinary. My Chorizo Con Huevo was decent, and the flour tortilla was fresh & HUGE! Our toddler had the kids silver dollar pancake w/ scrambled eggs & bacon. I had a piece of his bacon, which was tasty & not overly salty. My hubby enjoyed his Country fried steak & he said the gravy was excellent. Cuuuuuttte breakfast/brunch place with simple menu. There is a fireplace in the middle of the dining room that really adds to the ambience, as well as all of the hanging plants that they have around. The breakfast menu has your standard favorites: pancakes, omelettes, Benedicts! Depending on the season, they have razor clams too! We went a few weeks before the season opened so wasn't able to try it. I appreciate that they have half servings of the Benedict, I never can finish a whole serving of it. It came with your choice of side, I opted for hash browns. They came out nice and crispy. Service was great! We happened upon this family owned restaurant by accident; good fortune for us! The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is all exceedingly fresh and made in house. Excellent breakfast. We sat right by the fire. We really enjoyed the ambiance. Our server was extremely upbeat and attentive. I had the crab Benedict and it had a lot of really delicious crab meat. It comes with hashbrowns or two pancakes and I went with the pancakes. They were beautiful, perfectly browned. And yummy. We came in for breakfast on a Friday morning and had the best service by Jose. We were seated quickly and near the beautiful fireplace at the center of the restaurant. The decor is a fun log cabin theme. They also have a full bar on the other side of the restaurant which was not opened at the time. I ordered the dungeness crab benedict, $30 for 2, it was delicious, had large lumps of crab and was hot and fresh. The hollandaise sauce was made perfectly. It was amazing. We also got the country skillet which was huge and hearty. The country fried steak was seasoned well, was crispy and juicy. It was great. Overall, the ambiance, the service and the food was great. Great ambiance. It was a little chilly walking in. Oregon coast, cold, damp winter day. Luckily, the fireplace seating was open and we were seated. Greeted right away by amazing wait staff. Loveeee the foooddd! As a local I would totally recommend this restaurant! I personally love the house burger with the clam chowder soup. I've had clam chowder before but not like this one, it's so delicious. The service is amazing because they definitely make us feel at home every time we go. We found ourselves at Oros after a morning of hiking some of Oregon's coastal trails and exploring the Haystack Rock made famous by the "Goonies." we started with some beer, cups of clam chowder (super yummy) and oyster shooters. The appetizers were delicious. From there, we enjoyed entrées of Caesar salad, Dungeness, crabcakes, and fried halibut with coleslaw. All the food was cooked to perfection. The old restaurant at this location was called Morris Fireside Inn... and the food was lousy. However, the new restaurant, Oros, is excellent. The first thing that jumped out is the service and the staff who work here. They are all very nice people with great attitudes who genuinely seemed glad to be working there. It's so rare and refreshing to see that these days. Over the two weeks we were recently in Cannon Beach, we ate breakfast at the restaurant three times. Every time the food was consistently excellent, service was great, the restaurant is extremely clean, and the bathrooms are very nice. I did see some reviews complaining about their prices. First of all, their prices are quite reasonable, and are relative to what we would pay in a city. Also, people need to understand that they are in Cannon Beach, and prices are simply a bit on the high side in general. We will be dining here again next time we're in town, and if you're looking for a place to eat, don't hesitate giving Oros a try. read more

We have family in CB so come here at least once every time we visit. The food is excellent and portions are good. We've tried all the eggs Benedicts, pancakes etc. And the family that runs it is lovely - they take pride in running it and are always friendly and helpful. Came back here again for breakfast. This time I tried their Crab Cake Benedict, I got one of them. The crab cake Benedict was okay, there was good amount of crab meat, but for me personally I think I like the traditional one better. The hash browns were delicious, parts were crispy and parts were soft. Overall a decent meal, it is pretty expensive for the crab cake Benedict and just hash browns.
