    Fish Ceviche

English: I recently had a great experience at this location! The food and drinks were amazing. I particularly enjoyed the mango margaritas and the fish ceviche. I'll definitely be back for more. My server was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively with music playing on the jukebox. I also noticed they seem to have live music on certain days, so I might have to visit on a weekend to check it out.

The food arrived in a timely manner . Our server gave us some great recommendations that helped us have a great meal. & The mango margarita went well with the food. All around flavor! The overall lights not too bright And not too dim to enjoy your food and have a conversation with your date or family . Thanks for the wonderful experience and support to the city of La habra.

Large Campechana ... good taste but not good enough for the price ... very little product for such a price !!!

I have always liked Ostioneria Colima, because of the Campechanas generous size and taste ... to my surprise I went today and the price went up to $24.00 which I thought is worth it ... however I got home and to my surprise the large size was a 12 0unces cup with 6 shrimps and 6 pieces of octopus and the rest juice, tomatoes, onion and cilantro nothing more swimming in the cup and $1.50 for 4 small thin slices of avocado !! Expensive ok but not worth it for what it brings !!!! Too bad !!! Not going back !!!

Proof to support my one star review!

Ostionería Colima - Unclean Seafood & Unconcerned Management Shrimp cocktail served with shrimp that hadn't been properly cleaned--still loaded with veins, grit, and clearly handled without care. When I brought this to the manager's attention, their response was basically, "That's how we do it--it's normal." No apology. No offer to replace the dish. No refund or any attempt to make it right. Serving under‑cleaned seafood is a serious hygiene issue, and their complete indifference to a legitimate customer concern was jaw‑dropping. If you expect basic food safety and some respect as a customer, this isn't the place. Don't waste your time--or risk your health.

The agua chiles were fresh and delicious. I chose the verde and the heat was perfect. Good service and nice corner location.

We went during an off time so peak times I would expect a wait. We really blew our diets but it was worth it. We shared a small order of fries topped with chorizo, chipotle mayo, crumbled cheese, and raw jalapeno. It was soooo good and the small order was perfect for two without ruining your appetite. For my entree I had the Navajo taco which was a giant fry bread topped with red chile beef, beans, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and chipotle aioli. This was a true masterpiece of flavors. The fry bread was like a savory funnel cake flavor. Crunchy exterior and fluffy cloud like interior. The beef was melt in your mouth tender. My wife had hers with ground beef, potato, and green chile. They had a lot of different protein choices. Should have stopped at this point but they had a pumpkin pie filling stuffed sopapilla. It was made to order so it took awhile and came out steaming hot. It was served with two scoops of ice cream so it's perfect for sharing. It was pure heaven and we devoured it. Service was great but these ladies were doing everything. Taking orders, cleaning tables, packing up orders, putting final touches on foods, washing dishes. It was crazy yet they always kept a smile on their faces through the chaos. My wife and I cannot wait to try more items on the menu! Worth the drive!

After a very long conference day, we wanted to bring in a casual Mexican dinner for about 20 people to enjoy together in the hotel lobby -- and Harbor Mexican Cafe was perfect! We ordered four platters: two sampler platters, a taco platter, and a burrito platter, plus extra rice and beans. Depending on the platter, they also came with chips and salsa, rice and beans, and salad. There was plenty of variety for our group, and the food was wonderful -- authentic, flavorful Mexican food, not the typical chain-restaurant version. The staff was fantastic from beginning to end. It was easy to place our large order over the phone, everything was ready right on time, and it was packaged extremely well for us to transport back to the hotel. Our team loved the meal, and I would absolutely recommend Harbor Mexican Cafe whether you're stopping in to eat at their small restaurant or ordering food for a group or event. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I stopped by again on my way home today to grab a to-go order for myself to enjoy when I get home! Great food, great staff, and a wonderful experience all around. We'll definitely remember this place the next time we're in La Habra! UPDATE 1 day later - UPDATE: I'm sitting at home enjoying my leftovers from Harbor Mexican Cafe the next day, and they are STILL absolutely delicious! Seriously -- these folks know how to cook authentic Mexican food. I live about 90 minutes away, and I'm already thinking I may need to make the drive back in the near future just to enjoy their food again. It's THAT good! It's actually quite contemporary inside, just in a way that feels like it understands exactly what it needs to be. It's comfortable, Service has been good every time I've been in, and there's a small selection of Mexican beers and a couple of margaritas if you're so inclined. There are also plenty of things on the menu that look really good, but I have a hard time straying too far from my favorites. What can I say? I love cheese. As for the food, I've had the enchiladas and the chile rellenos, and both have been really good. Nothing gimmicky, Just solid Mexican food, done well, in a little neighborhood spot that seems perfectly happy being exactly what it is. Sometimes that's all you really need. Even though the restaurant is small and busy, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Our waiter Washington, was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and made our whole experience even better. The atmosphere was perfect too. They had music playing at just the right volume and a big TV showing the live Dodger game, which the kids loved. We started with chips and salsa. The salsa had the perfect level of spice for everyone at the table. The kids ordered horchatas and were excited about the unlimited refills (something you don't always see at other restaurants!). The drinks for the adults were just as impressive. My wife's watermelon margarita on the rocks was perfectly made. It was not overly sweet or syrupy like at some places. Our friends had the "El Jefe" margaritas, and they definitely didn't skimp on the tequila! For dinner, everything was a hit. The kids loved their meals. Albóndigas soup, shrimp tacos, and street tacos--all served with rice and beans. The adult dishes were just as good. The carne asada arrachera was cooked perfectly, the chile verde was full of flavor, and my chicken mole was delicious with a great balance of spicy and sweet without being overwhelming. The portions were very generous, and everything came with rice, beans, and both corn and flour tortillas. The only small thing I would've preferred differently was the chicken in my mole. I personally would've liked a leg and thigh instead of sliced chicken breast but the dish was still very good overall. What really stood out was the hospitality. At the end of the meal, Washington offered us "holy water"-house tequila shots on the house--and it wasn't cheap tequila either! Then after the bill came, he surprised us again with another round of "holy water". That level of generosity and care really impressed us. We also learned that the restaurant has been there 20+ years and is family-run by him and his siblings, which made the experience feel even more personal. You can tell they have a loyal customer base--one couple even said, "See you tomorrow Washington!" The only feedback we'd offer (coming from a customer service background) is that we noticed a few guests waiting at the entrance without being greeted, and one couple actually left the restaurant. A simple "Welcome, we'll be right with you" would go a long way. That said, it didn't take away from our experience. Overall, amazing food, great service, generous portions, and a welcoming family atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu!
