Worse customer service. Since when is it not ok to walk around a mattress store without help and sit on a mattress for a couple of minutes. Apparently the idiot working there thinks that's "fooling around" and told me to leave. Keep in mind there was no other customers in the store. Even after I told him he was being rude and that I was there to buy a mattress, he still insisted that I leave because I was making him look bad on the cameras. Sadly I was there a couple of months before and had a less than satisfactory experience with the same guy. I didn't learn anything from him that I already didn't learn online. He also made it very clear that he didn't think I could afford the mattress I was interested in. Instead he was trying to sell me the cheapest mattress which was super uncomfortable. My boyfriend and I came in looking for a firm mattress in our price range and Bob although busy with other customers at the time was able to show us 2 firm beds and didn't pressure us or hover like most places do. I was at Verizon getting my phone fixed when I noticed the Ortho store next door. I had been wanting to get a guest bed because my sister was coming for a two week visit. I came in looking for a mattress since all the other stores weren't paying attention to my needs. I had an idea of what I wanted but Michael helped determine how firm of a bed i really wanted. After trying out about 8 beds we finally figured out which one was best for my comfort. He explained the materials each one was made out of. He showed me around and made sure I picked the right one. Mattress arrived at my house and it is even better than the store. Michael hooked it up with everything I needed and even with a warranty. He even told me how to take better care of the mattress along with tips on how to make it softer. Don't shop here. The salesmen are liars. We bought a plush mattress on sale for $1500 and they told us if it was too soft we could bring it back and exchange it for the firmer version at a 20% restocking plus $100 delivery. When we tried they told us that they gave us a good price the first time and wouldn't do the same for the new mattress. So it was going to cost us an additional $1,000 to swap out for the same mattress at a different firmness! I'm not sure how they can treat customers this way and expect them to ever come back. Dont waste you money buying from Ortho Mattress- they claim they sell quality, but in a few months you will find out they mattress are poor and the warranty and customer service is worse. Bought a Simmons King and 6 months later had to replace it due to impressions (and we are not overweight). Got a new mattress and now just 3 months later its sagging again. Warranty department denied us and now we are stuck with an uncomfortable mattress that hurst or backs. The people in the store are nice, but its Ortho corporate that dont deserve your business.
