We were looking for an adjustable bed. We live in Woodland Hills but went to the Reagan Library so we stopped by Ortho Mattress in Moorpark. The salesperson that helped us is Tom. He was a pleasure to work with. He had all the answers to our questions, has a great personality, and was really easy to work with. Since this was the first place that we went, of course I thought that there had to be a better deal somewhere else. Well, after 3 other stores, we decided to go back to Ortho because they had the best deal. Even though there was a store closer to us, we decided to go back to the store in Moorpark. Honestly, this was because of the great service that we had received from Tom. When we went back, not only did we work with Tom, but we also got to talk with Paul, who said that he got a great personality instead of looks. I, of course asked him when his personality was being delivered and that Ortho delivery must be faster (which it was). Actually Paul has a great sense of humor and it was great talking with him. The delivery happened right on schedule and the delivery people could not have been nicer. We bought a mattress medium soft and it was defected. They changed it right away and brought another one that was also defected. The sample in the store was different with the one that was delivered twice. My husband and I are very angry with the situation and are sleeping uncomfortable. We want our money back. My husband put a stop payment on his credit card. But they just want us to go back and pick something else with more charges. Needed a new bed to help me rid my persistent lower back pain that wasn't getting better after spending a small fortune on a chiropractor. Needed it to be extra firm but also comfortable to my joint pressure points, and it needed to be affordable. Wow, am I glad I walked into this mattress store. I had found a mattress similar to a great bed I slept on one night, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. That was a Simmons Beauty Rest and it was very firm, but the surface felt very comfortable on my pressure points around my shoulders, elbows, and hips when I turned on my sides. I found a current model, and found a great price on the web for it. Then I went into the store. Chad showed me the bed I was looking for, but he also showed me an alternative bed, with more coils along the mid section of the bed, for extra support, and it was more comfortable and firm at the same time. It would cost me more, but I could feel the value. I laid on the two different beds I was considering for a long time on each bed. I wanted to see how it felt after the first initial contact, and so I read a book on my Note 4 phone while I seriously tried out each mattress. Chad agreed to match the price of the Beauty Rest bed I found for a lower price on the web, but I really wanted the The Lansdowne Extra Firm from Ortho's Reserve Collection. However that bed was over a grand more. We negotiated, and I got my Lansdowne for a price Iower than what they were asking, but more than I initially asked to pay. We made a deal, and I am very happy with my bed and glad Chad was knowledgeable about the construction of the beds I looked at, and could tell me the distinctive characteristics of the different beds, so I could make an informed decision. Not everyone is going to want an extra firm bed with a soft latex surface to pamper their pressure points, and extra coils to give extra firm support to the back, hips, and upper thighs. But if you know what you're looking for in terms of performance from a bed, Chad can help you find it. Got my bed delivered in two days, only because the day after I bought it was a Sunday. If you are reading this because you are unsure, just go here. We went to four other mattress shops in Ventura County looking for a new mattress. We went to Sit & Sleep, The Sleep Shoppe, and two others. We stopped at the Ortho location in Moorpark on a whim, didn't even realize it was there (or that it would be that easy to get to) and we are glad we did. Paul (salesman) wasn't pushy AT ALL! The salesmen at the other stores pushed us to tell them our budget, then picked mattresses right at or above our budget. Paul just wanted to know what kind we liked and what we wanted. We tried a bunch out without looking at the prices, just based on us telling him what we liked about our old mattress and what we might like in a new one, and found out the most comfortable one for us was about $100 UNDER our budget, and more than $300 less than the other stores cheapest ones. With the other shops, if you didn't want the astronaut foam or the bed that does your taxes for you, they treated you like you were nothing special. We got the cliche used car salesman vibe at those places. Guys lurking around, desperate to sell you a $2,000 mattress with the "premium premium plus gold package." Paul was friendly and polite enough that it was easy to remember his name. We really felt like it was zero pressure. There may have been other customers while we were there but we wouldn't have known with how attentive and "on it" Paul was. He never told us what was "the right bed" or what we "are supposed to like." All he cared about was that we got a good mattress that we would like and would get good rest on. If you're on a budget like we were, go here. Even if you aren't on a budget, still go here. Their warranty is legit. Their deals are legit. Their products are legit. So we bought a mattress from them about six months ago. We ordered a Cal King Ortho mattress and box spring set. Realized recently our mattress isn't a Cal King but four inches smaller in width. Found out when we bought a new bed frame, for a Cal King, and it didn't fit. Mattress does say Cal King, but in marker and we have measured it and in fact it is smaller then a regular Cal King. Tried calling them about this but got the run around. I feel they gave us some custom mattress that was returned and charged us for a Cal King. Didn't like it when I called there head quarters I was blown off. The store is nice and salesmen are good but I know we got the wrong product. read more

My husband and I recently needed a new bed set as our sleep number was too old. We naturally thought to get another sleep number but quickly discovered the price difference between them and both foam and spring beds. We went to a few stores before finding Ortho Mattress. We met with Paul and he is outstanding. He took his time with us and while it may sound funny, he really knows sleep science and loves it! We were educated and not pressured at all. My husband and I were looking for a mattress and we decided to go to two companies, Ortho Mattress in Moorpark and Sit N Sleep in Woodland Hills for comparison. We were impressed with Hank who knew what he was talking about- described the choices (soft, medium, firm and extra firm). We chose the firm mattress with just "the bells"- massage and incline/recline (not with the bells and whistles). He was respectful, kind and provided excellent customer service to us (giving me answers to my inquisitive questions) Because of these, I made the decision to stick with Ortho. Sit N Sleep was far from my mind. Delivery of mattress was a no-hassle. The installers were focused on their work. I recommend Hank to anyone. Finally bought a new mattress just before going away for grad school. My previous mattress was awful but I was hesitant to get a new one because I hate pushy salesmen and I know big purchases like a mattress house the pushiest of them. However, after going to Ortho Mattress in Moorpark, my opinion of that changed. Paul was extremely helpful, patient, genuine and the furthest thing from pushy. Really nice store. We had a salesman that seemed to know what he was talking about. Really good selection, which was a noticeable difference from smaller mattress stores. The big selection let us test out all ranges and really figure out what we liked. They have a great warranty and all of the mattresses have brands that you will actually recognize. Only con is that they were a little pricier than some smaller stores, but if you want quality and don't want to waste your time or worry, then you should definitely go here. The mattress is heaven. I am a very light sleeper (so light that if someone walks by my bed I wake up) and with this mattress I was able to get several consecutive nights of absolutely uninterrupted sleep with this bed.
