Best flooring in the world! I visited 20 flooring stores, and had very high standards. I could not find the flooring I wanted in 20 flooring stores, until I went to Oscar Flooring. Oscar Floorings had the most Beautiful flooring, that were the highest quality we found anywhere. They were the only store that had flooring available that met our rare standards. In fact, their flooring is so rare and hard to find, I had rent a pickup truck and drive more than 2 hours away from Sacramento just to get their flooring. None of the flooring we looked in San Francisco or Sacramento was as good as Oscar Flooring's materials. The staff are really nice and knowledgeable. They are experts who explained a lot about the details of each type of flooring, of the glue required for installing the flooring etc. They are very nice--even though they are closed on Sunday, they make 2 special trips into the office on Sunday so I can get the flooring, and helped me put the flooring onto my pickup truck. They are professionals--they have a lifting trailer vehicle that can lift flooring onto your delivery truck or van. The price is also reasonable. They help you get the best price possible. Our standards when we looked for flooring was really high. Oscar was the only expert flooring company that had flooring with really high standards (SPC water-proof stone, more than 8mm thick, light warm color, wood-like pattern in 3D with bumps that feel like wood when you touch it, more than 12mm wear layer etc) They also have an amazing display of rare Brazilian hardwood floors, that shined in the light. Jenny and her crew just completed putting in Brazilian Cherry hardwood floor for our bedrooms and we could not be more pleased with the outcome (just look at the photos!). There was already existing hardwood floor in the living room/hall way and Jenny was able to help us find a close match. Compared to other quotes we received, her cost was lower not because her material is cheaply made (she showed us they only use 3/4" thick wood), but she measured how much square footage of material we needed and it was way below what the other company quoted. It's understandable that more material should be ordered for backup and it also depends on how skillful are the carpenters. Jenny's crew didn't need to order too much extra material because they are just that good. During the install, Jenny's crew noticed the baseboard in some of the bedrooms was not going to hold the hardwood down. They informed us that the particle board base used underneath the carpet will not hold the new hardwood floor. They resolved the issue by putting in new baseboards and didn't even charge us extra! Overall, we are extremely happy with Jenny and her crew. Within a few days we had beautiful new hardwood floors in our bedroom. Jenny was very friendly and easy to talk to. I got brazil cherry from here in 2014 for my house. The quality seems good, it has held up fine. The coating on the top is pretty resistant unless you scratch or hit it very hard with blunt or sharp objects, in which case it can scratch. My wife & I were looking to replace our damaged engineered flooring, and carpet on the ground floor of our home. I talked with several different suppliers and contractors. We finally talked with Jason who also did our neighbor's kitchen and flooring. He recommended Oscar Hardwood Flooring and said he had just completed another house using Brazilian Cherry from Oscar Hardwood Flooring and gave us a small sample. I dropped in at Hayward and picked up another sample along with a few hardwood alternatives. I noticed right away that the solid wood flooring was of excellent quality. My wife and I settled on the Brazilian Cherry and the results installed are amazing. My only reservation about the choice was the two samples we had were very similar in color, and grain therefore being fairly uniform. The installed flooring however had a great deal of color and grain variation and the beauty of the installed flooring far exceeded my expectation. The light from our windows during the day and indoor lighting at night bring out the natural beauty of this flooring, it is amazing.
