First visit at Oscar's today. Went with the Carolina pulled pork sandwich. Excellent flavor, huge portion. Super friendly staff. Give them a try.

Pork steak was tender and juicy. Sauce is just the right amount of heat. Oscar comes to check on you. Ribs fall off the bone. Great place!

Omg! Talk about hidden treasures! This was amazing bbq We had the baby back ribs and the spare ribs. Side of smoked mac & cheese. Everything just delicious. Highly recommend.

The food is absolutely delicious! We got the 1/2 slab of baby back ribs and the pulled chicken sandwich ("Make it Sloppy", "Carolina Style"), side of cucumber and onion salad, and smoked mac 'n cheese. The ribs literally fell off the bone and were downright the best baby back ribs we've ever had. The pulled chicken sandwich was also delicious. Everything comes without sauce so that you can add your own to make it how you like it. It's a cool throw back looking place and the service is great. Very friendly! You can eat inside or outside. We highly recommend Oscar's.

Stopped in at Oscar's Famous Ribs on a local recommendation--and unlike some tourist traps, this one delivered. The meat was incredibly flavorful, fall-off-the-bone tender, and clearly cooked in-house with care. We went for the Meaty Sampler, and it was more than enough to satisfy our family of four. The sides held their own too: the meaty beans lived up to their name--rich, hearty, and not just filler. And the mac and cheese? Creamy, cheesy, and perfectly balanced--not overdone like some places tend to serve it. The vibe inside was unmistakably local: friendly, no-frills, and all about the food. The staff was welcoming, and the place felt like one of those gems you're glad you didn't miss. Would absolutely come back--in fact, I'm planning to return tomorrow. If you're in Branson and craving BBQ, don't miss this one.

Disappointed there's only 5 stars here…read more Having been a local for a few years now, and hearing wonderful things about this place, we finally went. All the wasted time!!!! This small unassuming building is easy to pass by. Ya know those cartoons when a scent wafting through the air grabs a dog's nose and leads him to a meal? Yeah, that's kinda the vibe here. You order at the counter, pay (slightly pricey, but generous portions), and soon a huge platter is set before you. I ordered a Two Meat Plate with ribs, brisket, corn casserole and pit beans. Ribs: Tender, lovely smoke ring, quite meaty. I don't have the vocabulary to describe the rub, but I liked it. A lot. Nice crust on the exterior. Brisket: So many choices! Lean/fatty (or just maybe the counter guy said, "Lean, Fatty!"), sliced/chopped, prime/choice. Also good crust, smoke line, juiciness. But something was off. See below for further. Sauce: Not nearly as spicy as I like, and a bit bland when tasting off of my finger. However, when applied to the brisket, something magical happened. The best sauce/meat pairing EVER!!!!! My much better half has chicken and pulled pork. Don't know how hers was. Didn't care. Didn't ask. But she ate and didn't yap , so I'm happy. If she sees this, I'm effed. Dessert: Home made Key Lime Pie. Kermit's in Key West, FL LOOK OUT!!!!!! A magnificent meal.

Lots of room out there, and it feels like you're in the woods instead of off the highway. Really nice and helpful staff. Wish they had more than one restroom, but that's the way it goes. Definitely going back!

Oh man they were packed today!! But no surprise! They have THE BEST BURGERS! seriously…read more Highly recommend the Porch Burger and the asada fries. We got so excited we ate them before I took pictures.

Excellent food, deceptive billing practices…read more I love the food here and have never had a bad meal, but their pricing model has become incredibly frustrating. Pickin' Porch forces a mandatory 10% "staff tip" on all orders. Because you stand in line and pay at a counter before you are even tended to, they are essentially demanding a tip before providing any service. Sometimes you stand in line for longer than it takes to receive the food you're paying a 10% premium on. If a business needs to cover higher staff costs, they should just raise menu prices. Forcing a surprise surcharge at the register is a cheap tactic. Furthermore, didn't ask, but suspect one is likely required to pay this fee even if you're just getting food to-go. For a restaurant located inside a craft mall, playing these corporate "gotcha" fee games feels completely out of place in this wonderful spiritual community Branson has always been. Branson is a city built on genuine kindness... However, Pickin Porch Grill's compulsory 10% tipping fee billing practice is the exact opposite of the nature of Branson. Come for the food, but be prepared for a frustrating mandatory fee at the register.
