Took 1 hour to get food. Out of my table of 6 nobody got what they wanted. Everyone had something wrong/incorrect with their dish. The table we were sitting at had missing napkins and utensils. Place had a bad smell and felt like we were eating in a bathroom with the tile floor. Everyone left hungry and annoyed. read more

We had a reservation for Valentine's Day. The place was crowded so we waited at the bar and were in no rush. They sat us down and took our drink and food orders and completely forgot about us. I asked our waiter about our drinks and another server came over and took our drink orders again but never received them. So we just walked out and ate somewhere else. Last day of restaurant week and we wanted to participate! It was price fixed at $29.99 for appetizer, entree and dessert. We came for a late lunch at 2:30pm, party of 4. Appetizers ordered: seasonal salad (very good and tasty), baked clams (amazing), and eggplant rollatini ( very good). Entrees: risotto pescatore (amazinggg) and salmon manicotta (soo good). Dessert: cheesecake and almond chocolate cake, both very good! We got a bottle of Pinot Grigio which was a good combination to the food. Lastly we got a cappuccino, machiato and espresso. This homey spot is like walking into someone's living room, with high ceilings and so spacious, perfect for dining inside and feeling safe. Great warm bread and olive oil, off-the-menu eggplant Parmesan served in a skillet. My one request is more pasta options. There's only about 5 on the menu and maybe a special. Food and service are consistently good. It's convenient for meeting Northern Westchester folks and better than most Italian offerings in the Yorktown area. Decor is warm and comfortable although it gets a bit cramped on weekends. There are multiple rooms and a large private table as well as outdoor seating for good weather days. I haven't found a go-to dish yet but have enjoyed pasta, veal and chicken dishes. Heading back tonight as I write this. Wine list is serviceable but not deep. read more

Italian food is a big part of my life. Grew up eating it at home and will die eating it, I wanted to try a new Italian place and did not regret trying here. The atmosphere was nice, made me feel like I was in a Tuscan villa. Most Italian food in this country should really be called Italian-American food, it is very different from Italian food in Italy. I would definitely call the food at Le Fontane more traditional Italian food. A very seafood oriented menu, and that is not a bad thing, depending on what you like. If you prefer more Americanized off-menu Italian food, such as fettuccine alfredo, they will make it for you if you ask. Talk about going the extra mile. This fish and calamari were very fresh. The servers were very nice and helpful too. The service was quick and they even gave us salads on the house! The waitress forgot my Peroni but it was a busy Saturday, won't bust her chops for that. Won't let one small thing ruin an overall great experience. Definitely recommend coming here for a different take on Italian cuisine! read more

After stopping here last minute for a special occasion I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. Good Italian food is hard to come by these days but not at Le Fontane. Everything here is excellent. The Food: we had the Zucchini flowers which were bursting with flavor and the drizzled marinara was perfect in consistency and flavor. Perfect amount of basil. The homemade rigatoni with shrimp and scallops is there most popular dish and for good reason. An excellent pink sauce and shrimp and scallops were fresh and cooked perfect. I had the special swordfish with pineapple salad and risotto. I honestly never had that dish prepared better and I've eaten it at many restaurants. For dessert we had the berry apple cobbler which was well balanced and not too sweet. The service was excellent. Our waiter who was from Italy was the best. He took great care of us and recommended a great bottle from Italy. I met the owners and discovered the two brothers are from Capri Italy and it seen in everything that goes on in this restaurant. If you want an authentic experience of dining in Italy than this is it. Don't hesitate to go here. Right now Le Fontane is my number one Italian Restaurant even beating out a long time favorite in New Rochelle. read more

Why have I lived in town for almost a year and never visited Le Fontane until this week?? I was blown away at the quality of the food. Grilled octopus was perfection. My family fought over every last bite. (Even my 6 year old!) The chicken Parmesan was EXCELLENT and they were even able to accommodate some gluten free requests! God bless you! The seasonal salad with pears and grilled chicken was so refreshing and just hit the spot. The rolls. So crunchy on the outside and soft as a cloud inside. Biscotti- unreal with a cappuccino. The touch of cinnamon was amazing. Chicken Marsala was wonderful and I LOVED all the fresh veggies that came on the side. Take out is easy! You just call when you arrive and they deliver to your car. On a Wednesday night at 7 the place was empty. But it fit the bill, being quiet. Orders a glass of wine, Barolo, while I waited for my guest. When she came, we ordered house salad, which we shared. It was tasty nothing special though For entrees I ordered the chicken Marsala and she the veal piccata with a side of broccoli rabe My friend had chicken Marsala. Both portions were huge. I decided on this occasion to order a bottle of champagne Vivre Clicquot. Which never disappoints! Went here tonight with my parents and our friends and enjoyed a wonderful 3 hour meal here. We weren't rushed and the staff was incredibly friendly and met all of our needs. My appetizer of grilled octopus was juicy and the chickpea pate was a nice touch. The chicken scarpariello w/ sausage and vegetables was a real treat. The chicken was flavorful and tasted delicious in the sauce. The sausage added a nice kick to the dish and the vegetables were cooked nicely. Ended the meal with a sumptuous affogato w/ hazelnut gelato. This was a wonderful restaurant and we can't wait to return here!!! read more

We just had dinner here and we enjoyed it very much. To start, the interior is very homey. I believe our servers name was Michelle. She was very attentive to all of her tables ,not just us. She even brought over crayons and paper and other things to try and entertain our year and a half old. The food was also very good. Always a pleasant experience. This time we had a Pork scarpariello sauce special. The pork and sauce and broccoli were all cooked to perfection. Nice portion as well. The wine, a bold Super Tuscan was well priced at only $35 and went perfect with the dish. We sat outside in a nice open setting, not noisy, but busy with lots of activity. Outstanding friendly service and beautiful patio setting. The wine choices were on point for Italian cuisine. Rainbow trout was fresh and melted in your mouth. SERVICE, VALUE, FAMILY FRIENDLY We visited for lunch after a Saturday hike with the kids at nearby Ward Pound Ridge. At first, Le Fontane's exterior seemed to indicate that the restaurant would be too fancy. But it turned out to be just right. They volunteered that they were flexible with dishes, e.g., could make a kid-size version of their steak entrée. Without asking, they brought our kids' food out first. And best of all, the kids _wolfed_ down their steak and spaghetti & meatball dishes, and asked to return. Other nice touches: The owner (Italian?) was there, our water glasses were promptly refilled, the maitre'd also stopped by to see if everything was OK, they had wi-fi, and they packed & bagged the leftovers for us. read more

We have been coming here for over 20 years and it keeps getting better - still the same family running the place but they keep sprucing up the decor and adding new specials. I never was a fan of this place because the service is subpar and food is overpriced but decided to give it another go with a takeout order. They ran out of the burrata and prosciutto dish I ordered and substituted it with some gross mushy watery product, I honestly could not even tell what it was maybe squash? It sure as heck was not worth the same price as my original order and on top of that they didn't even ask me if I wanted a substitution (I had to call after to confirm what they did).
