They have a long haired male employee who never seems to remember me (understandable since I tend only to come in once a year) but I know he has been here forever and does an excellent job. Best clam chowder anywhere around!!! their clams in this chowder are humongous is the best clam chowder I have ever had in my life and I'm a foodie. I know the term "jumbo is relative and is often misused" but these were JUMBO shrimp thank goodness I didn't get the 6 I could never have finished them. Crunchy light batter almost tempura like with big juicy shrimp. The fries were crispy and not too salty, staff was AMAZING welcoming and patient A+ my mom had a seasonal special of theirs soft shell crab and let me say this she is VERY PICKY about her soft shell crab and struggles to find a restaurant that suits her, she said it was very good and it was literally three good size crabs and it had such a nice sweetness to it that is indicative of blue crabs. Oscar's has always been good, but recently fixed their portion problems and the fillet of cod is back to normal.

We had the haddock last night and it is fantastic this time of year. The execution by the kitchen staff was perfect. The breading was crispy golden brown with hot, juicy, and tender fish inside. I think the fries are just as good as McDonalds and that is a compliment. Keep it up guys! read more
