I'm glad I found this place, not only the taste of food is good here, but also the interior gives me the feeling that I'm at somewhere by a pier. My friends and I had different combos, a cod with oysters or clam strips or calamari strips, they were all tasty. We ordered a fried soft shell crab and omg it is the best!! Really soft, it almost melted in my mouth, however it was like 5 dollars? for a tiny crab... but I wouldn't complaint since it was so good. Cod was fresh, oysters were big and tasty, and calamari was really soft! However, clam strips weren't something that I expected, I might order something else from the next time. I've been here several times and have never had a bad experience. They're located smack dab in the heart of Glendale off 59th Ave. Plenty of ample parking. They recently expanded the size of the restaurant so there's even more seating. The restaurant is clean, the employees are friendly and the service is prompt. So you walk in and approach the counter. Place your order, pay for it, grab your receipt and take your seat. I like the Oscar's Combo which is a healthy portion of a little bit of everything. Fries, fried shrimp, oysters, clams and cod. There is a smorgasbord of fried fish and other tasty seafood delights. The food is piping hot, extremely fresh and seasoned to perfection. Definitely some of the best cod I've had and I'm not just saying that. My wife and I frequent this spot on a Friday night after a long week at work. It's the perfect comfort food to end your work week. The prices are reasonable given the portion size and obviously, the fresh fish. I see some great reviews and my experience was similar. Buddy of mine and I ate here for dinner for the first time this week. I got the salmon salad and New England clam chowder. The quantity of salmon they put on this salad was impressive, in fact my buddy commented on that. And it was perfectly cooked. Salads like this usually get a small chunks of dried out pieces of salmon, but here the whole filet is laid right on top of the salad. And the chowder fantastic ... well made and not the sticky, flavorless mess you find other places where the chowder is on the menu as a second thought. "Hey Bill we better add a chow-da to the menu". Consistency in quality is not there from one week to the next. Fish tacos were amazing a couple of weeks ago and tonight the fish was dry and tasted like fried in old oil. I've been back numerous times and the shoestring fries (my favorite) have been cooked and salted absolutely perfect each time. BTW....turns out the clam chowder is incredible! Got a 16 oz clam chowder to start. Nice texture and creamy and had plenty of crab in it. Highly recommend it before the main course. The dinner was six big butterfly shrimp with fries and coleslaw. Slaw was homemade and had really good flavor but the french fries were advertised the steak fries and we're really shoestring fries which were not anything to talk about. Great place to get fried clams. They are usually pretty busy at lunch and dinner time and parking can be tricky but totally worth it.

Food was good but found it over priced for the portions. It was really just like the frozen fish pieces that you can find at Walmart.

My husband chose the bowl of clam chowder. I had ice tea and he had water. The cod was fresh and fried in a tasty batter until crispy. The coleslaw was creamy. The fries were hot and fresh, not greasy or oily. The ice tea was really good. My husband's clam chowder was fresh, creamy and tasty. He enjoyed every bite of it. We eat out once a week. Since this seemed like more of a fast food place we went several years without giving them a try. Now we are there at least twice a month. We've had their cod, tilapia, tuna and calamari. Whether it's fried, grilled with a side of seafood salad or in one of their jumbo tacos, everything is amazing. I am also very impressed by the staff. Stopped in for a late lunch on May 25. I've had this on my list of places to try for about a year! I did not know this place has been here for 20 years! This place was awesome. Not much to look at from the outside or the inside but everything you want in good seafood is there. I had shrimp with hushpuppies. I love a good hushpuppy. Shrimp were fresh and crispy. I had their shrimp salad as a side which was macaroni salad with shrimp and tasted amazing. Next time I will bring some home. Hubby had fish with a salad and he totally enjoyed it. Prices are not super high, but high considering the place and the location. However, good seafood begets higher pricing. Well this place went DOWNHILL! Smaller portion sizes of fish but hiked price UP! Got rid of steak fries, served horrible, thin, greasy fries that tasted worse than. Mc Donald's. $12 for one small price of cod. Forget it and won't come back. Soft shell crab equals a tablespoon of actual crab @ $9.00!! Reading the defensive response from owner on other reviews is clearly an indicator of why this place has gone to the dogs. Change the fryer oil, tastes stale and nasty. Another couple who sat across stated how bad the fries were! Sad that owner just gets mad at reviews instead of trying to remedy customers experience!
