The reply was timely and informed me that the sushi bar was "First come first serve basis. We do not take reservations for the sushi bar. Sorry" We took our chances and went on the night I had requested, at the time I had requested. When we arrived there were 3 empty seats at the sushi bar. We were told that the seats that were open were actually reserved for friends of the owner who were coming later. I have loved this place for years but the blatant lie in their reply to the very date and time I had requested for a reservation has permanently changed my "go to" choice for sushi in Lexington, Luckily, we are no longer a city with few options for good sushi. I will be patronizing other sushi restaurants that do not tell customers that the bar is "first come first serve" when they clearly do not keep to that practice.

The service has always been top notch, no matter how busy it was at the time. The only time I ever have a gripe is when I'm sat at the end of the conveyor belt and I'm not able to grab much, but since I'm able to just order from the menu, I'm usually okay with it.

It was so good I dove right in and forgot to take a picture. The main course was tantan noodles. Looks were deceiving in this being more filling than the size it looked. The chili sauce really adds the spice. The spice isn't an immediate but more of a body build spice, still delicious. The noodles were a great texture and complimented the spices with it being cold. We're from the nky area and visit lex often to see friends and the city. Local tacos line was out the door at 6:30 on a Friday. Little brother's game started at 7:30. We were inevitably going to be late to the game and were pretty much accepting it with our attitudes shifting. The owner I assume, came STRAIGHT to our table as he noticed something was off and got us speedy service without even asking us our situation, he just knew. I kid you not. For a family of 6, we got all of our food in less than 10-15 minutes after ordering. I'm talking lo-mein, multiple rolls (one was even a fried roll that takes longer and more care), we got crab rangoon, even poke. The mood shifted. He gave us an extra 10-12 minutes to enjoy the food and just overall being there. Go eat here, this is a dedicated man that cares about his restaurant service, quality, and craft.
