He was also on point with the recommendation for their Tres leches dessert that was garnished with a Maria cookie (#iykyk) Since I had not eaten, I went ahead and enjoyed their meatball appetizer. These four juicy meatballs were served in a robust marinara sauce along with two pieces of baguette. I like! As far as drinks, I went from my usual a.k.a. anything with rum. Their Mojito is creamy due to the coconut base. My friend enjoyed a spicier vodka cocktail that I also sampled. Since it's located inside Matheson hammock Park, the restaurant is pretty much right on the water. You can definitely enjoy a nice sunset either in the patio or walk around to catch the full moon on the bay. As far as parking, there are metered spaces, which are free after sunset. For the main courses my bf had the seafood pasta which he said was good, although the sauce was a bit plain (he described it as having a ragu flavor). I had the Baja tacos at his suggestion and boy was it a good recommendation. It comes with 3 tacos and they are packed with fish. They were absolutely delicious. The tacos also come with a small side of elote which had a strong citrus flavor, absolutely delicious. All in all, I don't know why we don't come here more often but we will. Regardless of what they want to call it, the glass was visibly dirty and should never have been served to a customer. After that, our server barely came back to check on us. To make matters worse, when we received the bill, they had actually charged us for the drink we sent back because the glass was dirty. The food was below average as well, especially the fish dip. The non-alcoholic teas are also $9 each, which is insane considering the quality and overall experience. The entire establishment felt dirty and poorly taken care of, and the staff seemed more interested in standing in the corner gossiping than checking on their customers. This was our first time here, and we absolutely will not be coming back. The current 3.3-star rating is generous.
