It will be worth your while! It seems increasingly difficult to find an authentic Mexican restaurant these day that has great tasting dishes. You can taste quality and flavor in any of the menu items I have tried. The food here surpasses any of the overly salted corporate ran " Mexican Restaurants". I tried the Hollenbeck tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it with the Green Salsa that had a very good flavor without having too much heat from the Chile's. I have been going here for years since I grew up right around the corner and still go to school at Cal Poly. The food has always been really good. I really like their enchilada sauce. The service is great. They always remember who my family is and ask about members that are not there at the time, which I appreciate. My only minuscule complaint is the price. Great, delicious, heart warming food. I've been going here for over 10 years! The service is decent and the food is just so good I crave it! I would recommend the soups, burritos (esp hollenbeck), and shredded beef tacos. Soft Tacos + Sopes are not really the specialty so I would recommend going with anything else than what u could get at a regular taco shop. This is the local "Go to Place" for good Mexican food. We've have had several celebrations there and the staff is more than willing to help set up. The weekday all-you-can eat buffet is tasty. Disappointed with a Mexican restaurant that doesn't serve fresh guacamole, but will charge you and call it Fresh Guacamole. Went to lunch with my wife for Taco Tuesday $1.50 each, ordered 9 tacos (5 asada, 4 caritas). Ask for side of guacamole, and when we finally received our tacos... all the tacos had green sauce on them. So I ask the waitress for a side of guacamole, and she returned with 2 small sides of green sauce. I told my wife, I guess this is guacamole. Then when I asked for the bill, we were charged $9 for Fresh Guacamole ($1.50 per taco). Yup, not good but wasn't gonna argue about it. Paid it, and yes I did give a tip. I don't see how a Mexican Restaurant cannot have real fresh guacamole? Just terrible! read more

I'm giving the place two stars because of their customer service. I come here sometimes on Sundays with my mom for their breakfast buffet and it's honestly the only good thing about this place probably cause you don't have to deal with the waitresses. Iv come before during the week the 1st time I came I ordered the chicken soup it took almost an hour to get to the table by the time it arrived everyone had finished their food so I took the soup to go and the waitress seemed annoyed that I had asked for a box to take it to go. The last time I was their I ordered the ceviche (I love ceviche its always my go to) iv never tried it here so I thought I'd give it a chance ... big mistake I took one bite and it tasted really salty and not fresh at all when I asked if I can take it back and order something else. I was given a menu and the waitress was really rude about it, said "so are you going to order something else or what" I ordered carnitas taco combination plate. When I got my order it was chicken tacos I decided I'd eat them any way but again it tasted like something they just warmed up in the microwave. The waitress came back and said "we tried the ceviche and it's not salty. So you just didnt like it" she said it as if she was really offended that I had it sent back. unfortunately I won't return. read more

Honestly..what keeps me going back is the people that work there. The waitress's are super nice and friendly and That's what makes us go back there. The food can be better.... The only problem I have is that I've seen a few times some employees have small accidents and I hope they were OK. And i'm surprised to see the Health Score they received is a "C" ...... I have been coming to Osuna ever since I was little. Boy is it good. The service has always been excellent. Never once have I gotten bad service here. Atmosphere is very pleasant. Staff is very friendly and always helpful. But the main reason we come here is for the food. The food is and always been really good. I highly recommend going during lunch and getting from the buffet. read more

Have been coming to Osuna's for over 20 years now. Lately (within the past year or so) the service is horrible. The food is still good but the service has gone down dramatically. I had stopped coming here for about a year because of this issue and my last visit just confirmed why I stopped coming in the first place. I was sat at a table with no utensils. It took about 10 minutes just to get my drink order. Another 5 minutes to get chips, still no utensils nor my drink. Another 10 minutes to take my order (25 minutes already and my order had not been taken). Finally gave my order, still no utensils and now no more chips. Waited a good 10 more minutes just to get the complimentary soup that comes with your meal. In the mean time the place is being filled with customers and not one person from the staff is acknowledging them. At least 5 bags of to go food have been sitting on the counter since I got there. Finally get my food but still no utensils nor a refill on my drink. The rice and beans are lukewarm at best but still delicious although I've always hated the amount of garlic that they put in their rice. The enchiladas are good but at this point I'm so disappointed with the service that I didn't enjoy them as much. I don't know what it is or why the service has been slacking for so long but it's enough to make me not want to come back and that's a shame. I've started to go to Mayan Tacos and am now going to try Los Amigos (I hear it's delicious). Step up your game Osuna's! read more

I've only been here once. I had a deep fried pork burrito. I don't think it was the best thing on the menu. It was very filling. Because I came there being hungry, I didn't care about how it tasted until I was starting to get full. It had been about 10 years since I had come to this restaurant. My friend and I went there last night for dinner, and all of sudden I remember why I stop coming.... The food simply isn't good!!! I order a carne asada taco that came with beans and rice. The taco was awful! They wet the tortilla with oil it seems like. When I tried picking up the taco it fell apart! It was a soggy taco!!! The taste of the meat was bland and super greasy!!! Rice had a weird unpleasant taste, beans were ok. Food was a Luke warm temperature. Now please pay ATTENTION to this: while we were paying I notice one of the cooks pouring a green salsa into a different container. To assure he pour everything out of it he used his two fingers and scoop the remaining salsa into the container!!! I was so gross out!!! Where is the sanitation and cleanliness!!! Osunas have you heard of cross contamination, food poisoning!!! I really feel that the owner of this restaurant needs to give training to his staff regarding food prep,sanitation,and cleanliness. While he/she is at it give them training on how to prepare food that actually taste good!!! Needless to say I won't be returning!!! read more

Been coming here for years. I live right around the corner. Usually get the burrito ranchero when I do a carry out. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and they were really good. The chips, salsa, and guacamole were really good. Service was good, can't complain one bit. I'm only given it 3 stars because it was pretty warm inside. Maybe cause the kitchen was right there where we were sitting? But with it being over a 100 degrees outside and it being warm inside made eating inside unenjoyable. read more
