Went there on half-price pizza and jazz night with some friends from work. We had eggplant fries, bruschetta, garlic bread, and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers and we got 3 small pizzas (which were huge) for dinner. We sat outside to listen to the jazz and talk. The food was wonderfull, the drinks were good, it was a great atmosphere for hanging out and talking, and the waitress was awesome, she had most of the tables outside and a few inside and she took care of everybody without a hitch. For my birthday we went to Othello's. The salmon came out raw, so we sent it back. It came out a second time raw. I asked the manager, Kim, if we could change the order to chicken since the cook was having a problem cooking salmon. She brought the cook out to our table to argue with us that salmon is supposed to be dark pink in the middle and we should have asked for it "well done" if we wanted it to flake. The manager then asked if we wanted it or not - we said no, because it was raw. She said "Well, I'm charging you for it anyway." Sure enough, we got $17 tacked onto our tab for food that was raw and never on our table! UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!! My advice if you are on campus corner would be to visit the Deli for live music or see Keith at Brother's. STAY AWAY FROM OTHELLO'S!!!!!! read more

Quaint authentic Italian restaurant in Campus Corner area. Excellent food at moderate prices. Not as inexpensive as nearby Victorias--which has the best pasta around--but not overpriced like some of the fad Italian chains of late. One of the worse dining experiences of my life. I had the sampler for my appetizer. Everything in it was bland or burnt. The bread that came with the meal looked amazing but was flavorless. The waitress barely new anything about the menu (she did seem to be new). My girlfriend order the parmesan chicken salad, which was the size of a side salad at most restaurants, which had no cheese and when asked the manager told the waitress to tell us that Parmesan chicken just means that it is breaded. I had the parmesan artichoke with alfredo. The artichoke had an odd flavor to it and there was a layer of grease floating on top. When I complained to the manger she told me that was odd because they had just opened that can of artichokes. The atmosphere was horrible. They had a paint and palette going on in a side room and the entire time we were there you could hear some sort of PA system. The decor was very dusty and dirty looking. For the amount of servers there the service was slow and piss poor. The food is extremely over priced not only do to the size but also the quality. My wife and I ate dinner here on Sunday. We started with the fried calamari. We really like it here because it's sliced in strips, not the little rings. I had the Amber's chicken pepperoni and my wife had pasta and red clam sauce. Both were excellent. Our waiter Luke did a really good job. Not bad. Came in from out of town and enjoyed myself thoroughly. Peroni at an Italian restaurant is a must. The bar area was cool, although the live music was a little loud...and a little lame. I'm not into piano/guitar folk music, but whatever. Pesto was good and I liked the decor a lot. Dark stained wood and stained glass are always a plus in my book! I had not been to Othello's in several years but decided to try it again with a friend who had just moved back after living out of state for over ten years. We were both excited to try it again. We were the only diners sitting in the bar side as it was early. We ordered drinks and a pizza. The drinks were good and we received them fairly quickly. The pizza took a while was barely warm and tasted like a frozen grocery store pizza. Very disappointing!! I am not sure if I will ever go back as it was extremely poor quality. read more

I would go to Othello's to drink and to hear live music. The food I have had was not very good. It tasted like it was out of a can and it was also burnt. The atmosphere in the bar is great and although it was too cold to sit outside I saw a very inviting deck. I would recommend it for a night out with friends without dinner. read more

Had a great time here for a friends birthday party and even though it was a Friday night and we took up two of their tables they were great and took wonderful care of us all evening! Remodelled after the fire, the restaurant looks great. I wasn't impressed with the food much. I ordered the shrimp with stuff crabs. It came with a small bowl of spaghetti with marinara sauce. The description said jumbo shrimp but it didn't look like a jumbo shrimp. It tasted bland to me. My friend f ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. He said it was ok. Before our main meal, we decided to order an appetizer. We ask the waitress, who was fairly new, which garlic bteaf she recommends. She said that the regular garlic bread was good and do was the knotted bread. We ordered the garlic knots. When I arrived, the bread was the size of mushroom caps. I was surprised on how small they were. We didn't realized that with our meal we ordered, some bread camr with it or we wouldn't have ordered the garlic knots for an appetizer. After the meal, my friend wanted to order their famous cream cake that he hears the guy from the sports animal talks about (I think it's called Linda's cream cake) but they were out of it. They've been out for two days. At 5 o'clock on a Thursday, they were out. Kind of disappointing. Our waitress was friendly but lack the knowledge of the menu. She had to go back and forth to the kitchen to inquire several times. The triple layer chocolate was was very good though. Fudgy and very chocolatey. Definitely worth sharing because it's super rich. Overall our experience was ok. The service is good but it's probably a restaurant that I'm not dying to get back to anytime soon. read more

We are long time residents in Norman and love the patio at Othello's. The food is fabulous. BUT, when patrons let their children run and scream and kick soccer balls into the dining area ( and don't make them stop) it's just not fun anymore. This is the second time in a row this has happened to us and while we love Othello's we will think twice about it when we want a nice dinner on the patio. read more

Ordered a pizza to be picked up and it took an hour and a half to be made. One would think that a pizza place could make a pizza a tab bit quicker than that. When I called, they said, "we've been busy tonight." I don't care how busy you are, you should be able to make a pizza faster than 90 minutes. read more

The food was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was great except for the person in charge of the kitchen was barking orders to the point of unprofessionalism. There is a difference between communicating and being condescending towards coworkers. Her attitude detracted from an otherwise pleasant night out. This place has the worst service i've ever seen. I went here last night with 2 friends (that's only 3 people total) and we had reservations for 7:30pm, we get there & they give us our table & then walk away. We waited a pretty long time before someone came and took our drink orders. After we ordered our drinks a family of 4 came in and sat at the table next to us, they were immediately taken care of which was ok at first - Until they GOT their food & FINISHED eating before we ever got our food out. we waited OVER ONE HOUR for our 3 plates of pasta & 1 appetizer. I'm sorry but it is not that hard to serve people. (I would know because I am a server in downtown OKC). We didn't get our checks until about 9:10pm. that's almost 2 whole hours just to get some below average pasta. the most upsetting and annoying part of this whole experience for me was the fact that they didn't even offer us a discount or to give us our appetizer for free (which they totally should have considering how LONG we were rotting at their over priced establishment). And just the fact that the family that had MORE PEOPLE than us, that sat down AFTER US, literally GOT AND FINISHED their food before ours even came out. just let that sink in folks, when you consider eating at this terrible establishment. :) Glad I went here this one time to try it out - I will not be coming back! read more

We went to othellos for my birthday and i picked it because i decided to overlook some of the bad reviews that i had read, because of one review i read that said "best calamari I've had in a while you can tell it was hand breaded" being that i love calamari i decided to try it. it really did taste like a fish stick. i got the chicken primavera and when we got the bill i was shocked that it cost $20! it was good but not that good! all i'm saying is this place is good just not worth the money they charge for it read more

Wow. My wife, brother and I went here last night and things have changed. I don't know if it's under new management, but it's not the same as it used to be. Mediocrity at it's finest. We were there for over an hour and a half on a Sunday night, with about 7 out of 12 tables full outside and only one waitress, it was disappointing. The service was fine, it was just too busy for one person to run things. The menu had changed also since I had been there last, about a year ago now. They used to have these REALLY good Fried Parmesan cheese cubes, but no longer! My wife ordered some sort of Artichoke pasta that said, " lightly breaded artichoke hearts and fried to a golden crispness, resting on a bed of spaghetti and sauce." What came out of the kitchen was canned artichokes, not breaded or fried, smothered in red sauce and cheese, and a bowl of spaghetti and tons of sauce. It seems they overdo the sauce so it looks like there's more, but you end up with tons of red sauce at the end. Unsatisfied and disappointed, we paid our expensive bill ($40 for three people) and left. Never to return! Sorry Othello's, but you are not worth it! read more

Well othellos was were we decided to eat for our anniversary dinner . I should have gone either to Victoria's pasta as it had many more patrons or benvenutis ristorante. We stayed away from benvenutis due to what we thought was high price and only found Victoria's after looking for another dessert place to take a dessert back to the b&b. Othellos was empty when we got there at 6pm we were seated in a booth where the table was nice but the vynal seat must have been over 30 years in place as they were cracked to hell. It seemed half the menu was based on the most favotite patrons ideas. The pricing there seemed fair until the order we made for Gina's raviolis showed up and we got six per order at a cost of $2 per ravioli. We might have made other selections but if we wanted to change sauce it was going to add $3.95 per plate. We did order a dessert....the apple carmel pie. The pie came out cold until we got to the heel and it was just barely lukewarm. The server was decent and did keep the bread coming(at least it was free)......we did also receive complementary oil and balsamic vinegar but a strange gooey slimy substance came out of the bottle and both bottle of oil and vinegar were greasy. We also only were given one small paper napkin for the whole meal. read more
