A new cafe/lunch place in the same plaza as Saizon (same owners as Saizon and Heirloom). Same concept as Heirloom; order at the counter, take a seat and wait for your food to be delivered. Great service with multiple people checking and making sure everything was ok. Spacious interior and also an enclosed patio with more seating. My friend and I ordered coffees and a granola breakfast bowl. They have a lot of different things on the menu from tartines (open sandwich) to salads to avo toast. The breakfast bowl was tasty and fresh. My friend's latte was a half sweet vanilla latte, and she said it was perfect. I ordered a cappuccino, which was a little smoky for my taste. I would get a latte when I go again, maybe one of their specialty lattes of which they have some interesting ones, including a honey saffron. The only thing is we asked for our coffees for there and were told that they would be in real cups, and my friend's latte was served in a paper cup. Maybe they didn't have that size available at that moment. I am excited to try more of their menu the next time I go. Otherside Cafe is the latest restaurant offering of the great minds behind Heirloom, Butterfish, Mayd Modern, Saizon & The Limelite, so it's no surprise the food here is phenomenal, fresh, flavor forward and innovative. My coworkers and I went today for an early lunch, and it was only the restaurant's second day open, so we were anticipating slower food service and long lines but it really wasn't bad. To order, you wait in line, and then your table selection is self-seating. (Not like Heirloom.) There is seating both indoors and on the covered patio which is equipped with heaters and fans. (Probably misters too, but I'm not 100% sure on that since it was chilly out.) The restaurant interior is bright, light, sunny and crisp. The patio is well-shaded, and has a more relaxed vibe than inside. Inside, many people were working at smaller tables while enjoying coffee in ceramic mugs. Outdoors there were more groups and families with children. The menu includes coffee, tea, housemade pastries, (eventually donuts), giant cookies, breakfast sandwiches and bowls, fancy toasts, tartines, "soul bowls", sandwiches, salad & soup. I ordered the This & That which allowed me to try a Tartine (I got the chicken, which is essentially a loaded, open faced, fancy chicken salad sandwich) and a cup of the soup of the day, which was Butternut Squash. The soup was served with crème fraiche, a drizzle of olive oil and roasted garlic and it was so silky! Phenomenal. I had a bite of my friend's Almond Chicken Soul Bowl which was so tasty! The textures, seasoning, chicken quality, and dressing were perfect. I would definitely order it myself next time. I tried the Blackberry Latte which was good - smooth, not too sweet, and not too milky, either. I also tried my coworker's Spiced Ube Latte which was more subtle than I expected based on the description and I'd also order that next time too - so good and very unique flavor-wise! One of the things I think this group of restauranteurs does exceptionally well is create special and unique flavor combinations and prep ingredients in ways that make them really enjoyable to eat - like slicing the celery for my Chicken Salad Tartine super thinly and on a bias so the crunch is there and the flavor is fresh but it's not like you're getting punched in the tastebuds with a heavy celery hit or chewing a stringy piece of vegetable. Each bite is a perfect bite texturally and flavor-wise. I think having customers line up outside the building and wrapping toward the outdoor patio, entering the center door might help the interior of the restaurant feel a little more enjoyable ambiance-wise. The tables and line area are in kind of a tight space, and the sound bounces a bit - so there's some "excuse me" and squeezing around to be done and it's a little bit overstimulating until you get past ordering. However, I'm certain ownership is still making tweaks and observations and things are subject to change and improvement, as it was only day 2. The taste was smooth and the saffron was notable but not overwhelming. It was a nice balance of sweet and herbal. We have had the opportunity to try more items so here we go-- this is quickly becoming a go-to for us. What I highly recommend-- Zen Garden -- so tasty. The girl at the register recommended this to my friend and it was a hit! Added chicken. Tri tip Cobb Wrap -- surprisingly good for something called a "wrap". You know what I mean. ;) Almond chicken bowl -- one of the more filling options on the menu, my husband keeps getting this one so it's got to go on here. Argentine -- great flavor. Blackberry latte -- husband's favorite Strawberry + hibiscus tea -- my fave, not a coffee person and for $5 it's reasonably priced I've also had the Avocado toast -- so tasty but better for a day when I'm not that hungry. Even better with the poached egg if I want to be spendy. Avocado Caesar - also a great tasting salad. I finally got try this trendy place. The place looks very casual and inviting. The young staff were very super helpful and attentive. Once you enter you see the counter straight forward. You order there and then find a place to seat at. To be on a Tuesday morning it was pretty busy. They offered different flavors on the lattes and they have food for breakfast, and for lunch, and early dinner. They open from 7 am to 7 pm. There are some items on the menu like the granola bowl that was offered until 11 am and other items available after 11 am. We ordered avocado toast one completely plant based it also had greens and seeds on it was very tasty, the other one with feta cheese had red peppers and the greens too. They were very tasty. On a rustic bread. Very soft and crunchy on the edges. I really loved it. We also ordered an oat bowl. It was a big serving with colorful berries and mint. It had some peanut butter in there too. It look very yummy. We also ordered some lattes two of the vanilla azafrán and on iced mocha latte. They were on point and beautiful presented. I had to get Another one but this time I opted with no syrup at all. Even though they assured me the their syrups are home made and they didn't have any yunk in there. I finally got the chance to try Otherside Cafe and I enjoyed it. There was no line when I got there but I've heard it can get really busy. I ordered right away and was served quickly. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. I tried the steak breakfast burrito and the honey saffron latte. My mom got the golden hour latte. The burrito was good but I wish it had a bit more steak in it. The steak was very finely sliced and there was only a few pieces. Overall the burrito had good flavor and the salsa was perfect to pair with it. The coffee fell a bit short for me. The coffee itself was good but the flavors in the drink did not come through. My latte tasted just strongly of honey without the other flavor notes and the golden hour hardly had a banana flavor. They both weren't bad but I was just expecting more since people have highly recommended their coffee to me. I will for sure have to give it another shot. read more

Most people "don't like" espresso or black coffee because it's burnt and bitter -- but it doesn't have to be. My wife's mocha was pretty good -- enough milk, sugar, and cocoa to mask the burnt, bitterness. My macchiato-- which was an actual macchiato -- revealed the true flavors in their espresso. They immediately took it back and remade it, and gave a complimentary $25 sorry gift card. Already an A for customer service. The spicy egg was actually spicy in a good way and really good! Rustic tasted like same thing but not spicy. Cookies and cream donut was AMAZING. Must try. Tastes different, like a premium donut. Which it is. Ube coffee j tried my first visit before and HATED it back then. Before it tasted like crappy hot coffee. This time it DID have hints of ube and a little spice. Wife said her matcha tea was bomb. The design and space of the cafe strikes you as soon as you enter. I enjoyed the modern open feel, though it does cause a bit more noise for dining/drinking in. I appreciated the unique lattes and drinks they've created. The orange/almond latte I got was delicious. A friend got a sample of the CREAM drink and said it was great. There were also many great looking food choices on the menu. I picked the Argentine sandwich and it was the best sandwich I've had in a long time - tender tri-tip, toasted bread, melted cheeses, arugula, and a rich creamy sauce. 7/18/2025 this is my 2nd time trying Otherside, and it was much, much better. Ambiance: 10:45AM on a Friday and it was BUSY. Thankfully the line was short but our concern was finding a place to sit down! This time I did notice people working on their laptops closer to the restroom area so I think the outlets are over there. I would've stayed and done my work in that area but unfortunately all the seats were occupied. Drink: My partner and I shared an iced Spiced Ube latte which we enjoyed, the drink was super smooth with a hint of spice! I would like to try it hot next time so I'd recommend giving this drink a try. Food: We also got a chance to try the salmon toast and the steak breakfast burrito and we ate it inside. The salmon toast was great! The bread they use is very good, it looked a little burnt but it was the perfect texture. Just be aware the salmon is a bit salty but I didn't mind. The steak burrito left a bit to be desired but the sauce that came with it complimented it beautifully. Service: Happy to say that they accept personal cups!! I thought the cashiers were making a greater effort this time to be friendly but it did feel like they were missing something. I'm sure the staff are stressed out with all the business which I understand as I've felt that when I used to be a barista. However the gentlemen who brought our drinks and food were very kind and didn't mind offering grabbing anything else we needed and asking about my personal cup which I appreciated! This place is popular. I got there at 9:20 and I had to wait about 10 minutes to get in as there was a line outside. The spiced cinnamon latte was one of the suggestions for try something new and the presentation with an orange peel as well as the heart and the cup were all perfect. The taste was amazing. The space is minimal and very much gives me urban Blue Bottle vibes. Their menu isn't extensive, but they have all the classics and some unique interesting combinations. I also need to commend the service; from the cashiers to the serving crews everyone was friendly and pleasant. If there is no thing not 100% perfect that would be the parking space. On a weekday is okay but we had problem to find a place to park on weekends. This is not the owner's fault hopefully the landlord can solve the issue for all the businesses there. read more

Otherside Cafe has quickly become my go-to study spot! The food is sooo good and flavorful. My absolute favorite is the Argentine sandwich. The matcha can be a hit or miss, but lately it's been much better with more matcha flavor and less milk than before. I recommend pairing it with the vanilla syrup (extra $0.50), but if you don't want to pay the extra $0.50, there's also free simple syrup by the water station. The only downside is that there are no outlets, so you must come with your laptop fully charged. The public Wi-Fi only works reliably on the right side of the cafe. I've visited twice. My favorite part about Otherside is definitely the ambiance; it gives you that out of town feeling! Depending on the day and time, you might have to wait about 10ish minutes in a line that goes out the door. Here's what I got + what I thought: Breakfast burritos (we got both steak and original) (3/5): We really wanted to love these but I didn't for some reason! The potatoes were really crunchy which was my favorite part. The portion of the burrito, however, was tiny. The sauce inside wasn't my favorite. Honey Saffron (?/5): I've gotten this one twice! The first time it was pretty flavorless; I couldn't tell the difference between this coffee and another one. The second time it was really really sweet. Blackberry Ginger (?/5): I think that's what it was. I couldn't really taste either of the components. Also, for two coffees and two (small) burritos, our total came out to $40 + tip. I would say it was a great experience overall. Staff is friendly, the location is great, and it's busy in here (if you like the noise level high). read more

This morning my wife and i came to the Otherside Cafe for the first time and I'm here to tell you they did not disappoint. The service was excellent. You're greeted promptly with a genuine smile and a friendly hello as soon as you walk in. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu, happy to make recommendations, and patient if you need a moment to decide. We decided to try the avocado toast breakfast burrito and a couple of lattes. The avocado toast was very fresh, vibrant and full of flavor. We can guarantee this was one of the best breakfast burritos we've ever tried here in Fresno. This is one of our bigger cafes in the Fresno area. There is plenty of bar seating, tables inside and tables outside. They are super busy and the line is out the door. However, it moves fast. I believe the owner is the one that helped my friend and I decide what to order. He was super knowledgeable and asked us what kinds of coffee we liked. Checked out this new cafe in Clovis! The interior was very clean and minimalistic. There could be a long line, but it moves pretty fast. Service was amazing. There's also a wide range of food from lunch bowls to breakfast. We ordered the walnut chocolate chip cookie and the salmon bowl. The salmon bowl was huge and very healthy.
