3rd time re-trying this place and they actually get an upgrade to 5 stars BESIDES having a long ass hair in one of the sandwiches! Ube coffee j tried my first visit before and HATED it back then. Before it tasted like crappy hot coffee. This time it DID have hints of ube and a little spice. Wife said her matcha tea was bomb. The design and space of the cafe strikes you as soon as you enter. I enjoyed the modern open feel, though it does cause a bit more noise for dining/drinking in. I appreciated the unique lattes and drinks they've created. The orange/almond latte I got was delicious. A friend got a sample of the CREAM drink and said it was great. There were also many great looking food choices on the menu. I picked the Argentine sandwich and it was the best sandwich I've had in a long time - tender tri-tip, toasted bread, melted cheeses, arugula, and a rich creamy sauce. The specialty coffees are so amazing, Golden Hour Latte is my personal favorite, the Blackberry Ginger Latte is a close runner up. The food is DELICIOUS! The spiced cinnamon latte was one of the suggestions for try something new and the presentation with an orange peel as well as the heart and the cup were all perfect. The taste was amazing. 7/18/2025 this is my 2nd time trying Otherside, and it was much, much better. Ambiance: 10:45AM on a Friday and it was BUSY. Thankfully the line was short but our concern was finding a place to sit down! This time I did notice people working on their laptops closer to the restroom area so I think the outlets are over there. I would've stayed and done my work in that area but unfortunately all the seats were occupied. Drink: My partner and I shared an iced Spiced Ube latte which we enjoyed, the drink was super smooth with a hint of spice! I would like to try it hot next time so I'd recommend giving this drink a try. Food: We also got a chance to try the salmon toast and the steak breakfast burrito and we ate it inside. The salmon toast was great! The bread they use is very good, it looked a little burnt but it was the perfect texture. Just be aware the salmon is a bit salty but I didn't mind. The steak burrito left a bit to be desired but the sauce that came with it complimented it beautifully. Service: Happy to say that they accept personal cups!! I thought the cashiers were making a greater effort this time to be friendly but it did feel like they were missing something. I'm sure the staff are stressed out with all the business which I understand as I've felt that when I used to be a barista. However the gentlemen who brought our drinks and food were very kind and didn't mind offering grabbing anything else we needed and asking about my personal cup which I appreciated! Decided to swing by for coffee and breakfast while we waited for our pup to be groomed. There was a line formed outside and we waited about 10 minutes before finally ordering up front. The space is minimal and very much gives me urban Blue Bottle vibes. Their menu isn't extensive, but they have all the classics and some unique interesting combinations. I decided to go with their recommendation which was the honey saffron latte w/oat milk. I was pleasantly surprised with the pairing of flavors. I would definitely get it again. The real star was surprisingly their burritos. I ordered their garden burrito, not expecting much but the aioli used with the grilled veggies was so flavorful and delicious. Otherside is one of my go-to coffee spots. I usually order an almond milk latte and the garden burrito, and both are always delicious and consistently great. My husband always gets the spicy breakfast sandwich and absolutely loves it. The garden burrito has an amazing sauce and perfectly crispy potatoes, which really makes it stand out. Today was the second time I visited. This place is as good as its sister store, Heirloom and Saizon. The food was great and the special drinks were awesome. I also need to commend the service; from the cashiers to the serving crews everyone was friendly and pleasant. If there is no thing not 100% perfect that would be the parking space. On a weekday is okay but we had problem to find a place to park on weekends. This is not the owner's fault hopefully the landlord can solve the issue for all the businesses there. read more

Otherside Cafe has quickly become my go-to study spot! The food is sooo good and flavorful. My absolute favorite is the Argentine sandwich. The matcha can be a hit or miss, but lately it's been much better with more matcha flavor and less milk than before. I recommend pairing it with the vanilla syrup (extra $0.50), but if you don't want to pay the extra $0.50, there's also free simple syrup by the water station. The only downside is that there are no outlets, so you must come with your laptop fully charged. The public Wi-Fi only works reliably on the right side of the cafe. The space is big, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the servers are always friendly and attentive. Definitely a spot I'd bring a friend for lunch or a low-key study session! read more

You're greeted promptly with a genuine smile and a friendly hello as soon as you walk in. The avocado toast was very fresh, vibrant and full of flavor. We can guarantee this was one of the best breakfast burritos we've ever tried here in Fresno. The issue is you order before you sit down so there's plenty of places to sit and it's nice and comfy but the line easily goes out the door and you're standing in the sun burning. I've visited twice. My favorite part about Otherside is definitely the ambiance; it gives you that out of town feeling! Depending on the day and time, you might have to wait about 10ish minutes in a line that goes out the door. Here's what I got + what I thought: Breakfast burritos (we got both steak and original) (3/5): We really wanted to love these but I didn't for some reason! The potatoes were really crunchy which was my favorite part. The portion of the burrito, however, was tiny. The sauce inside wasn't my favorite. Honey Saffron (?/5): I've gotten this one twice! The first time it was pretty flavorless; I couldn't tell the difference between this coffee and another one. The second time it was really really sweet. Blackberry Ginger (?/5): I think that's what it was. I couldn't really taste either of the components. Also, for two coffees and two (small) burritos, our total came out to $40 + tip. I would say it was a great experience overall. Staff is friendly, the location is great, and it's busy in here (if you like the noise level high). read more

2/28/25 Getting breakfast for Sunday! Hot and New!! Of course, ended up getting much more! Worked out that way in the waiting.... They were busy!! This time the line wasn't going out the door. Waited a bit and ordered a large Spiced Ube Latte with almond milk. Steak breakfast burrito and granola bowl. Also saw a Blueberry Lemon Muffin and got that for a dinner. I was going to get lunch too, but the worker told me they don't start serving lunch until 11. Paid for it and waited. Definitely an open atmosphere with lots of different seating set ups. I didn't take many pictures because there were A LOT of people. Full house! Laid back atmosphere. Music playing. They have seating to outside if you want too! Looks like a patio.... Order was called and it was almost 11 by then. Asked the worker if I could order lunch. She asked the manager and he said okay. The worker that called my order recommended the South of the Border bowl. Got that for lunch and paid for it and waited more. Luckily, I noticed while waiting, the blueberry lemon muffin I ordered and paid for wasn't in there. Told the worker. Like I said, VERY busy!! This time the line was going out the door. She was happy to get me my blueberry lemon muffin. Waited a bit more...this time the line was going way out the door! Quite a bit more waiting. At least it's a nice, low key atmosphere. This is one of our bigger cafes in the Fresno area. There is plenty of bar seating, tables inside and tables outside. They are super busy and the line is out the door. However, it moves fast. I believe the owner is the one that helped my friend and I decide what to order. He was super knowledgeable and asked us what kinds of coffee we liked. Based on what we said he was able to share recommendations. My friend got the pour over and I ordered a hot honey saffron with oat milk. We each ordered a pastry as well. Checked out this new cafe in Clovis! The interior was very clean and minimalistic. There could be a long line, but it moves pretty fast. Service was amazing. Wow. Just wow. We stopped by The Outside Café in Fresno for Saturday brunch, and honestly, it was one of the best café experiences I've had in a long time. First of all, Joseph was incredible. He was so kind, professional, and genuinely caring--I even thanked him personally because he really made our morning feel special. And now the food... just wow. Finally get the chance to try Otherside Cafe. Great ambiance! I love the decor, and how you can either sit on the counter, various couches, or actual dining table. Very friendly staff, unfortunately there's a very long line to order, so having a few more registers or someone who can take orders when it's busy would be great . This is my second time visiting and after trying a few drinks and desserts I can confidently recommend this cafe for others to try. It tends to be lively with only a few seats open but the service is fast and friendly. It is a large open space with seating inside and outside. There are lots of students studying and people meeting to have lunch over a cup of coffee. Personally, it's too busy for my liking but I could see everyone else loved the lively atmosphere. I've tried the shaken tea and lattes and I'd recommend both. They have scrumptious pastries I recommend their donuts and cookies. Today I ordered a vanilla iced latte and the coffee itself was smooth, flavorful, and not too sweet.
