Overall reasonably tasty but not the most authentic Thai cuisine if that is what you are looking for. Seems to be somewhat more Westernized. We got the Pad Thai, which was flavored with what we were pretty sure is ketchup. As other reviewers have mentioned, it seems that their dishes err on the sweet side. My family regularly dine at this restaurant and we had no problems before. However this past Saturday, my family and I had our regular dine and left cash in tips as usual. I noticed a few days ago they charged me 18% tip without giving me a notice before or after with no consent. This usually does not happen and it was very disappointing to see actions like this as we appreciate their service before. One of my new favorite places! I've now been twice over the last week. The yellow curry fried rice was so good that I decided to try it again with beef, and I was not disappointed. The portions were generous, the flavors were good, and it's great to have the option to customize your protein and spice level. My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed the garlic beef, wings, mango rice, spicy fried rice, and bbq pork fried rice. The staff take good care of you, the food comes out quick, and the cozy dining room filled with Thai decorations and covers of popular songs makes you feel like you're having dinner at someone's home instead of a polished, commercial restaurant. I came here a couple days ago for some great Thai food. They did not disappoint. I order my padtha with tofu and eggs to go for pick up. When I arrived, I was greeted with a friendly worker there. He was wearing a mask and carried a smile when talking to customer. The food was delicious. Padthai has a slight hint of peanut flavor, which I find other places lacking. The noodles were nice a chewy with that al dente texture I like. The tofu were fried to perfection and paired really well with their homemade padthai sauce. There's a lot to like about this place. Bowl Thai is my usual go to but the reviews drew me in. We decided on the tofu pad thai and chicken pad thai, one for each of us. P called it in and as we drove it struck me that the confirmation mentioned they closed to prep for dinner. I started getting the fear so P called again and they told us they'd wait until we arrived which was kind. Parking is easy compared to the crowded lot BT shares with its popular neighbors. It's also cool they use paper containers instead of the growing collection of black plastic ones accumulating in my cupboards. There was one more moment of panic when we returned home and both containers were marked tofu, but it was unfounded when we opened the boxes and discovered what we ordered. Flavor wise their Thai standard is on point and every bit as good as BT. The portion might be a little more generous too, but I found myself missing the lime and a little extra amount of veggies. To be open and honest, I only tried this place because not many restaurants were open on NYE. I was apprehensive when I arrived because it seemed like they just started to make my food even though I had ordered 30 min ago. In my experience, it's a red flag when a restaurant lists several cuisines on their sign: Chinese, Thai, and Japanese. The main exception is that they have a menu section that is specifically keto-friendly. O Top's strengths lie in their pricing and consistency. Their lunch specials served with egg fried rice, egg roll, fried wonton, and a salad are still $10, an exceedingly rare sight in these inflationary times. And I've yet to have an issue with my order -- just place it online or on the phone, and pick it up in 20 minutes. Their online interface is quite user friendly, letting you customize the spice level of dishes from anywhere between 1 and 10 stars. I go to another thai place down the st from here which is also great, but man... This place takes the cake for me. Pad see ew is my go-to for any thai place. Their noodles are the best! Perfectly cooked; they dont clump together like other pad see ews ive had. The beef is SO tender. Their orange chicken is amazing... Im a huge fan of battered orange chicken (hard to find places that prepare it this way) and theirs is always made fresh. You wouldn't know it from the outside but this is one of the most legit places there is. I've been going here for atleast 5 or 6 years now and most of my department at work is hooked on it. Many years ago they were owned by to sisters very up in age who eventually moved back to Thailand. I was very sad as they were always nice to me and made amazing food, I just know this would mean the demise of this place. However they choose their successors well and the quality and great service has remained. I'm always greeted with a smile and my food is usually prepared in 15 mins for me to pick up. My favorite is their veggie yellow curry, but you could order just about anything from here and it would be good. The only thing I don't recommend is the orange chicken, it's hit or miss. Prices are reasonable, especially for the lunch specials. I also appreciate that they are very accommodating if you need to add or leave leave out items unlike some other places.
