Turkey + veggie cream cheese + lettuce + tomato on a sesame seed bagel
    Maggie S.

Nothing bothers me more than misused potential- and sadly, that's what this was. There's always a line at this shop- so I never frequent it- but this morning there was a break in the line and do I decided to check it out. I soon discovered there is always a line, not necessarily bc it's good- but because you order yourself via tablet at a station and people are generally slow & not very efficient at that task so ordering just takes a long time bc of customers- anyhow- I ordered a sesame bagel with turkey veggie cream cheese, lettuce & tomato and a can of Coke Zero. My total for a bagel & drink wad $21. I will not be doing that again. Was it edible, yes. Was it worth $20, absolutely not. The bagel was bread. It was NOT a bagel. It was bland and boring. It was not toasted. The turkey was thin and barely there. The veggie cream cheese was nothing. I mean it was mildly taste-able but goopy and not savory at all the produce was blah (I mean- we are in a freakin farmers market and you can't offer quality products- c'mon man) - I only ate one half bc I didn't want to waste the calories on something so not enjoyable. I did waste my money though, so you don't have to.

Overpriced and disappointing. 11 dollars for a breakfast sandwich with a hockey puck egg. Cream cheese for 2 dollars? We enjoy McDonald's breakfast sandwiches more. Will not go back here and did not finish the sandwiches they were underwhelming.

GREAT bagel place. All the classic options and some fun ones. The egg on my bagel was a little lopsided but I can look over that. Food came out fast and location is great.

WHAT HAPPENED?!?! I should've known when I got there around 11 and there was no line. I ordered two bagels, blueberry and pretzel. Got home and I couldn't tell which was which. The blueberry bagel had one single blueberry, was quite hard, and tasted like nothing. This is not what I remember! I don't see this place last much longer.

Asiago bagel with very little herb cream cheese

I have heard this used to be a great bagel place. It is not now. The bagels are crunchy on the outside but gummy inside. They put so little cream cheese on all of the bagels we ordered that you can't tell the difference between the herb cream cheese and the chive cream cheese. I'm from NY originally, so these are not what I'm used to, but they are not good. I understand that their location in Findlay market keeps them busy but the food is sub par at best, IMHO. Go elsewhere for bagels.

    Bacon egg & cheese

Place was moderately busy, 4 people waiting in line. I've been here before and gotten decent service and food. It seems that everything they once did well is gone. Food isn't great, prices gone up and service went down. Forgot half my order as well as a coffee. And look at the size of the egg on their "bacon egg and cheese" btw you have to pay extra for cheese

For the first time I've had a bagel sandwich outside of the house in years, this gluten-free one was solid. The wait was long for all of the awesome varieties (like pretzel everything, roasted garlic asiago and more) for the flour-processing friends. And, I hope one day there will be more GF options to try! The place is also very tiny, with a New Yorky Bodega vibe so don't expect to sit and leisurely dine. There were also cans of pop like Vernors and Cherry 7up for $1 which was cool.

    Very old bagel.

My 12 year old son wrote this. I agree completely. Really bad experience. 4 days might be generous. "1. The bread tasted like they were cooked 4 days ago 2. My flavored cream cheese had no taste and hardly and spread around the bagel 3. There was only one person working visibly and that caused it to take awhile 4. It was a really small store but they had cool pictures on the wall Finally that make me wonder why they have 4 stars while I feel like it deserves a 1 star"

My family and I used to travel 3 hours, every Sunday, for these bagels. They were without a doubt the best bagels we've ever tried... but then things started to go down hill. For starters, we would never pay the same price for our orders (that were always the exact same sandwiches)... on some days we'd pay 24, others 22, then on some only 15 dollars. Sometimes ingredients (such as schemers or bacon) would be missing. We never questioned as to why because we thought the bagels were worth it, despite the dry service. The only friendly server was an older man (whom I assume was the owner) that always charged us 15 for our sandwiches. Unfortunately, this past Sunday was the last straw for us. We placed our pick up orders the day before making the three hour drive to Findlay market... when we arrived, we found the shop closed. We never received an apology NOR did we receive a refund. We paid nearly 30 dollars ahead of time for sandwiches we /never/ received. That was it for us. WARNING: OWNER HARASSES REVIEWERS, even on Instagram

Nothing beats a bagel sandwich! Unfortunately, I came to OTR bagel bar at 11am on a Sunday, so the bagel options were extremely limited. I got the raisin bagel, husband got the salt bagel, and grandma got the sesame. We all loved our sandwich! Price seemed a little much for a bagel sandwich - it was $6 for bagel, egg, and meat then you pay extra for cheese and other toppings, but overall was delicious and would come back!

First time visiting the area and there was a line outside this place so I decided to check it out. The staff was working their butt off and they were super efficient. I got an everything bagel but there was literally nothing on my bagel -- I was very disappointed.

    Sammy bagel. Order it! Heavenly.

The cream cheese spread easily and the scrambled egg was perfectly cooked. The fresh fruit salad was so delicious. The combination of pineapple, cantaloupe, melon and sliced oranges were so fresh. But then slowly everything changed. He reconstructed it to where you order at one place and pick up at another. Ok. New staff, one or two of the original people are there.M The new staff have NO customer service skills. Consistently, always have an attitude when you go to the cash register they look at you like they hate you. They have no training in Customer Service greeting, smiling thanking you for your business. None whatsoever and if they were trained, they're not using the skills when no one's watching them. Slowly the prices went up and up and up, which is true of everywhere , but at one point their prices for their tiny baked goods were insane . It appears maybe they lowered some , but you can't walk out of there without spending a lot of money. Also, they changed the tuna recipe which was their classic number one signature tuna. They're now using a cheaper fish or tasting brand. It's more liquidy and it's a completely different taste. Fishy It's not good. I might as well make it at home I can use albacore instead of their cheap tuna. Their pastries are *tiny and overpriced. They have raised prices ok but they drastically cut the portions they give you . It's half the amount of food that Marks is is known for . Marxx is known for its overstuffed Bagels - no more but they are charging more for much less food. If you're going to charge a lot, at least give the same amount of portions that people who have been loyal customers are used to. Also, they bought bigger containers, but they put less in them. It's so obvious when you buy loose tuna or loose cream cheese it's in a different bigger container with less food in it. Overall, I feel the place is completely gone down downhill! the things that were known for like the tuna the over stuffed sandwiches being able to feel like you got a good meal with a nice portion. All of that is gone. They're inconsistent with the portion sizes they give you and sometimes it's just not even enough. I had ordered containers of cream cheese with salmon in it and tuna and I had company over and what normally lasted did not because there's so much less food in the containers. Unfortunately, the tuna does not taste good anymore and he's probably buying something other than albacore to save money. People notice what you're doing they see that everything is being cut, and that the taste is changing the bagels are much smaller but are higher in carbohydrates . I go to Skip's now as well, and Skip's has much bigger softer. Bagels and their food is actually improved and I still like the salmon cream cheese and a lot of of the food at Mark's and allow myself to go there, but I don't go there as often.

I stopped by for a quick lunch during the week and wanted an easy to-go sandwich. They have a medium sized menu but a lot of different options which makes it a bit hard to pick haha! Essentially for me I had waited too long to eat and the idea of waiting longer was a non starter for me. Sandwiches are not my go to food outside the house, it seems silly on some level. However, the sandwich I had was fantastic and well balanced. There was a good amount of everything without it being too much. Sometimes it's too much. This was great. They also had good, homemade or freshly made sides like potato salad and other salads you could get. It was great.
