I was a little disappointed with the burger here. The patty itself didn't really have any flavor. The bun wasn't anything special, and it got soggy. It tasted okay once I added all the condiments to it, though, and I liked that they had pickled red onions. The fries were about average. The restaurant itself was a cool place to visit, though, and the bartender was super friendly. read more

The burgers are excellent- a thick Angus patty with various fixings. I had the Duke with bacon and cheddar and their own sauce. Next time, the mushroom burger. Indulged in a "Boozy" milkshake because it was Saturday - sublime flavors of amaretto, brandy, Fra Angelico and cinnamon, with a pleasant brief and mild buzz. Lots going on here. Every night has a special, over a wide spectrum - kids eat free on Mondays (1 kid meal per 1 adult meal), GeeksWhoDrink trivia night, board games, karaoke. Bus stop in front, friendly staff, good energy. This is a great neighborhood place that I will go back to. read more

My husband and I had brunch here and absolutely loved it! Customer service, food and coffee were great!!!!

First time to Otter Bar & Burger and the burger was perfect. Hit the spot. Will be back for it. I got the side of onion rings. The rings were cooked perfectly, but I wish they came with some sort of a dipping sauce. Pork Chile Verde Stew is delicious. Staff and owner were friendly and they had hand sanitizer and cleaned pens. Stop by! read more

Update: Their food continues to be on point. My new love is their hot chicken sliders! So crispy and fresh with some tasty slaw! If you haven't had one of their milkshakes, put that on your list! read more

Otter Bar and Burger is a great experience. Friendly owners and some amazing food. The salmon burger is one of my favorites. With all that's going on right now I'm the world, these folks are working their butts off and it shows! Will be back for sure! read more

As a longtime Eastlake resident, I was really excited for a burger joint in the neighborhood. Mammoth is great for sandwiches, 14 Carrot is a phenomenal breakfast joint, and Siam has great food and a great happy hour. But there really wasn't a place for a great burger and fries. I've been to Otter quite a few times - from within the first week of opening to their new brunch - and am very pleased. Yes, as the early reviews show, the opening was rough - but they have really improved some of those early issues (which primarily were time related). The staff has always been friendly, and the management is always working hard to make sure that people are pleased with their Otter experience. Of course, I don't go to a burger joint for the customer service. I go for the food. And here, Otter delivers. I've eaten their mainline, the Duke, and the Carolina Thunder, and have always been pleased. Quality meat (and bacon) with fresh vegetables and a very good bun. Not too much bread, which is nice. And none of it is overpriced. Now let me talk about the fries for a hot minute. For whatever reason, Seattle eateries have decided that floppy, greasy, flaccid fries are a thing. On this point, I wholly disagree. And here, Otter delivers - crisp, golden fries that are perfectly salted and a perfect side to a great burger. For brunch (I've only been once for brunch), the quality of the food continues. Very tasty main dishes (I've had the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, and a few bites of the classic Benedict) that are cooked well with perfect flavor. The hollandaise sauce is rich and creamy, and the poached eggs poached perfectly. The breakfast potatoes aren't super greasy, and are seasoned just right. On the beverage front, there is always good beer on tap (including Lush Life IPA), and some pretty great ciders. For brunch, the mimosas aren't overpriced, and are a solid pour. Suffice it to say, if you're interested in good food without pretension, Otter Bar is a great place. My whole household loves it, and if you like good burgers and fries with beer, my guess is yours will, too. read more

quite possibly the best traditonal Mexican street tacos in Seattle. Go for secret Taco Tuesday, you'll Thank me. Husband loves the burgers. All are delicious. BBQ sauce esp nice. read more

I gave this place another try, wondering if it had gotten better over time and because we weren't in the mood to drive all the way to Fremont to get Uneeda Burger. The buns they use are still the flimsiest things -- mine fell apart before my second bite. Why? Because the usual buffer between the bun and sauce/condiment that a nice piece of lettuce usually provides to avoid bun sogginess doesn't exist here. Instead, they inexplicably use shredded lettuce and put in on the bottom of the burger. Request for medium well got us both very well done burgers. Fries were unremarkable. The staff are lovely here, but the food just doesn't measure up, unfortunately. read more

Amazing boozy shakes! Yum! Great food and the staff is super cool and friendly. Will be back!

They took over the old space of Louisa Cafe and boy am I glad they did! The burgers are very tasty and juicy.

Chill vibes. Tasty Food. All day Happy Hour on Sunday. Not much more you could want in a neighborhood bar and burger joint.

Great neighborhood burger bar. We came with kids and they were super friendly without giving off a "kids" vibe. They have more than burgers (salad was good), beer was good, the patio in the back was a perfect place to spend a warm May evening. Highly recommended! read more

Love this place, the food is incredible and Zephyr is the friendliest person you will ever meet. Definitely one of my favorite bars!! I will be returning!! ;) read more

Came in, sat at the bar, and enjoyed the whole time. Friends had several cocktails while I enjoyed the beer on tap! Grilled cheese and fries were very good and the Mainline was a fantastic burger. Bartender was awesome and had a good joke to share. It wasn't very busy when we came by and we had a great experience here! read more

Great new neighborhood hangout! I got in on their preview night (grand opening tomorrow) and was able to try a number of items. The Carolina pulled pork is awesome, with a traditional mustard based Carolina BBQ sauce, as are the sweet potato fries, onion rings and slaw. The friends we were eating with had the black and blue burger and the kale salad which they said they enjoyed, especially the dressing on the salad. I really wanted to get a milk shake because they had some delicious sounding flavors like salted caramel and coffee and they are served in old style silver milkshake mixing cups, but I resisted. I also wanted to try the Mac & Mess Burger which has fried mac & cheese on top of a bacon burger, yum! I will have to come hungry next time! The name is an homage to the Otter plane, originally built by Boeing near Lake Union. They have a great mural of it on the wall. The bar space is nice and they have a great selection of local beers on tap as well as wine and cocktails. They kept some of the lights from the bakery which used to occupy the same location and have large windows which were open giving us a nice breeze on a warm night. We will certainly be back! read more

Awesome little bar and burger joint! Loved the fried pickles, beer on tap was excellent. Was an awesome time out, will definitely be back.

Stumbled on this bar on our recent holiday, it has a great atmosphere and extremely welcoming. Burgers were to die for. Definitely need one of there burgers now but will have to wait until our next vacation. read more

Old menu is online. The pulled pork sandwich looked delish but they don't have it anymore. :( 4 stars so their average doesn't go down.

Food is good. Service is slowest I've ever experienced. I've waited 20-30 minutes for loaded fries every visit the last 4 months. If you want to go, order ahead. read more

Based on food, 3 stars. I had a milkshake and it was ok. Salted caramel with cracker jacks. I was a bit annoyed that the fries I had was overly salted. I didn't say anything cause I wasn't that hungry so if they gave me a new batch, I wouldn't have eaten it. read more

Order the Nashville Chicken sandwich and the chili fries. The chicken sandwich had old brown lettuce on it. I noticed it after taking my first and was grossed out by it. I threw the sandwich out and started on the chili fries. The chili was bland. Not worth the money. read more

15 minutes with an empty glass and bartender behind the bar and within 5-10 feet of me. Would have ordered another schooner of cider, even at $8, but ran out of time waiting to make eye contact with the server. read more

Ordered the beyond meat burger with a double patty yesterday via Caviar and it was fabulous. It was delivered in a cute brown bag with handles. I decided to order it again today via Caviar again. The delivery courier delivered the food in a used plastic bag. I was like is this my order? I asked that because I was appalled that my order was delivered in a plastic bag, let alone a used one. He said this is the beyond meat burger. I was like ok might as well accept the delivery. Back in the kitchen, I opened the box, and the entire burger is burnt. I called Otter and spoke with Trevor the manager, and all he could say was sorry and he couldn't do anything about it since I didn't order it directly from them. I was like wow as opposed to saying, hey stop by in the future and the next burger is on us. Here is a picture of it. And it is nasty to look at. The patties were burnt. The bread burnt. I will never order from them again. Folks, don't spend your money with them. read more

They ignore their online orders so you have to sit and wait for them to cook it in a dead restaurant even though you planned ahead and ordered pickup for convenience. NOT OK. Also, they laugh and act like it's no big deal. You could at least buy a girl a drink for your incompetence. read more

If you have the chance, visit. Ask Trevor to sing a song. Great food, GF options. Pulled pork is really good. Great staff. Always put what you want on multiple TV options. Highly recommend. read more

Otter bar is one of our go-to's in the Eastlake neighborhood. You order at the front counter and food is delivered in a reasonable time. They make delicious milkshakes (and boozy ones for adults). One of my favorites is the fish tacos which are absolutely delicious. Burgers are very good as well. Only down side is that the burgers do not include a side, so it can get a little pricey after adding things on. If you don't have kids with you the bar area is nice to relax with some sports games playing and the bartender is super friendly! read more

Decent spot to grab a drink and food at. Prices are too high for the quality of food, but great service. Overall I hope that post Covid they focus on improving food quality. I've eaten here 5+ times before giving a review. read more

Great local pub. The owners were friendly and scrupulously clean during the pandemic. Our burgers were delicious and juicy.

Have had lunch here several times, the most delicious burgers EVER. I've had the opportunity to meet the owners and it's clear they love what they do. The restaurant interior pays homage to the original space [Lucille's?] While still being a fun, unique place to visit. Will definitely be back. read more

I work in the area and stop in occasionally. They have a pretty good quinoa burger that happens to be in stock about 50% of time I stop by. Upon my last visit I waited about 10 minutes before finally getting served and was told they were out and would be transitioning to the impossible burger. Why they stopped making quinoa patties before actually getting the shipment? You tell me. Probably laziness. There are long waits here, mediocre counter service, and they completely disregard vegetarians. I expect this level of service and attention to detail from a fast food joint, not a place where a meal is gonna cost between 15-25$ a person. They are lucky there is so little competition on east lake. read more

I really wanted to love this place. I live right around the corner and like everyone who has lived in eastlake knows, we are lacking in the restaurant department. I stopped in during lunch and I can get over figuring out i have to order at the one register. The fact that it took 20 minutes when only 1 person was in front of me was crazy. Getting to watch someone not know how to use proper sanitation practices with the milkshake machine was disturbing. He kept using napkins instead of a sanitizer towel (which was right next to him in a bucket) to wipe down the counter and the milkshake stirrer. Trying to find a table was a whole other debacle. There were maybe 10 people in there and every other table and bar top had dishes and dirty napkins on it. It would be nice to see more sanitized towels wiping down tables and countertops. I used to work in food service, and sanitation should be engrained in every employee. When my burger came out I was wholeheartedly disappointed with a cold bun. When I pay this much for a burger I don't think a toasted bun is out of the question. The full menu is out so I do plan on giving them one more go, but I can't say I'm excited to replace Louisa's with a lackluster burger joint read more
