I have to admit I had my concerns about that might taste on a piece of pizza but I thought if it tasted good on a plate, it should taste good on pizza Problem was it didn't taste like anything until the last few bites when I tasted the mustard. I saw two pieces of ham, the tiniest pieces of peas and carrots and no arugula. But taste wise, it was as if they weren't there. I enjoy the Harvard Square location more - pizza tastes better. The pizza is high quality, but you'll pay for it, both in money and patience. Expect to pay 150 percent of what pizza generally costs, expect to be treated like a nuisance for ordering it, and expect to wipe down your own table even if the place isn't busy. Don't expect a selection of slices to be available-- that depends on whether the staff feels like working (hint: they do not). I've been here four times, and each time I tell myself that the visit will be comparable to the chain's other locations. That hasn't actually happened yet. The staff here is wonderful--always friendly and paying attention and alert (under appreciated these days!). The pizza is consistently delicious and ready super fast. It's kept warm right by the door for easy pickup and I still get a hello and thank you from staff even though I'm just grabbing my online order and running in and out. The two stars are for massive screw ups on my pizza order. I ordered three pizzas and every one was wrong and had to be remade. I am not fussy but the toppings were wrong on all three. Don't bother. The one in Brookline is great - it has a nice bar with a decent beer selection and the place itself has a fun vibe. This one makes you feel like you're a bother for eating here and is usually understaffed - I've given it 3 tries and I won't be back. For what they charge, this place should be a little better. Since Otto Pizza opened in Andover and deliver, I ordered for our family, two large pizzas Spicy pulled pork, pepperoni, bacon & sausage (perfectly balance spicy and meaty is addicting). Second pizza Eggplant, ricotta & basil was perfect taste of smooth ricotta, well cooked eggplant. Found to be well balanced. Quality of toppings and flavours fulfilled the cravings. Base was perfectly cooked. It was delivered warm. It was deliver with in 40 min from the order. I am glad I ordered it to try before I read their reviews. We have a new place added to our restaurant list for delivered meal. I wish I took pics before finishing it. read more

We got there at about 6 PM on a Friday. There were just a few other people there. We ordered a cheese pizza to eat in and didn't get our pizza until 50 minutes later! People came in, ordered slices and were in and out of there while we were still waiting. I have no idea why it would take so long, especially since we arrived before almost all of the other customers. The couple at the table near us arrived about the same time and had the same issue. Anyway, after my wife (who's a lot better at handling these situations) went up to the counter to complain a few times, they refunded our money because of the wait and eventually got the pizza to us. They did apologize. I'd like to say it was worth the wait because the pizza was very good but it was tough to enjoy since we had to rush to get to an engagement. I wish I'd known ahead of time how long it was going to take. I would have gone somewhere else. I know it's Friday but 50 minutes? Come on... OTTO is mediocre at best and extremely overrated for all the hype there was surrounding it coming to town. I decided to try the butternut squash pizza because that's what I usually get at Za and I love it there. Unfortunately, it was definitely a let down compared to the one at Za so I will not be getting that again. The next time I went to OTTO I got plain cheese pizza. It was fine. I had to put red pepper flakes and salt on it to give it some taste since it wasn't that flavorful without it. It also felt like it took forever to get my single slice of pizza heated up. Maybe this was because I was in a rush, but it felt like it took way too long for pizza to heat. Overall, I'm definitely disappointed in OTTO. In the future, I'll only go if I'm leaving the movies and am craving pizza. read more

Came to Otto pizza after seeing a movie and looking at their menu, I was ready to for a pizza journey. In the end it was just....pizza. The menu looks like a big extensive list of amazing pizza combinations, some odd, some that sounded like if its on the menu, its gotta be good. They had a few slices out but we wanted something fresh. We grabbed a small cheese pizza and a small mashed potato/scallion/bacon pizza. Now when you hear a combination like bacon, scallion and mashed potatoes you have to be all in or not bother. We went all in, and were so excited to try it. Unfortunately it was a let down. The scallions were overbearing, the bacon didn't lend much to the flavor and the biggest disappointment was the flavorless mashed potatoes. They were just warm with no real flavor. If you're going to do mashed potatoes, you'd think they'd be cheesy or creamy. But they tasted straight out of the box. I had one slice and asked my bf to take the rest home because I would've just thrown it away. The cheese however was decent, nothing special but I was a fan of the sauce. My fiancé and I ordered a few pizzas tonight for dinner and lunch tomorrow through Caviar. I have a gluten sensitivity so ordered a gluten-free Chicken and Basil pizza, which I've picked up from Lynnfield before with no problems. Imagine my surprise to find that the pizza was not fit for human consumption! I have nothing against previously-frozen crusts, but someone was clearly in a rush or out to lunch and forgot to take the wax paper off of the crust before throwing the toppings on and popping the pizza into the oven. All of this resulted in me taking a giant bite of wax paper topped with cheese. I'm giving this one star instead of zero because the manager was kind enough to comp our order. I'm pretty conflict avoidant so never leave bad reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I wanted to warn others who might be looking for a gluten-free pizza to look elsewhere. Absolutely awful. It took my order an hour and 20 mins to be delivered (they told me 45-55 minutes). My pizza was wrong, it came with pepperoni and mushrooms instead lf pepperoni, onion and sausage. It was undercooked, had no sauce and no flavor. The garlic bread also had no garlic? It was super bland and it just tasted like bread with basil on it. Good consistent pizza. Not "gourmet pizza", but not the low-quality pizza they can come from some sub shops where it is an afterthought.

I'll preface this by saying the pizza tasted really great. Crust was crispy, toppings were great, and it was delivered within the timeframe they gave. That being said, I am extremely disappointed with the result. We ordered a mushroom, bacon, and vidalia onion pizza. We made sure to add ricotta. We were charged for the ricotta, and didn't receive any on the pizza. Perhaps even worse, the pizza wasn't cut. Lucky for me, I have a pizza wheel at home, so I was able to cut it myself. See the attached picture for proof. Normally, I would call them and send it back, but we were extremely hungry, and we had company for the Patriots game, so I just sucked it up and cut it myself, without a topping. The pizza we received tasted good, but it was missing an added topping, and wasn't even cut. I'm a bit irritated about it, since we paid over 30 dollars including tip and delivery, for a pizza that had a missing topping and wasn't cut into slices. EDIT: Immediately after posting the review, not only one, but two members of management reached out to me to fix the mistake and made it right. I will definitely be ordering from there again, not only because the pizza was truly tasty, but their customer service in fixing an error was second to none. They truly seem to care about their customers, especially with how quickly they reached out to me. I'm changing the rating from 2 to 4 stars just for their customer service alone. Well, like many of the reviewers, I would agree the pizza is great but the staff borders on complete incompetence. They're kids...but still...it's almost funny...I was familiar with OTTO from the Harvard Square location so happy to see it open up nearby. But we've had multiple orders there screwed up or sent to someone else. Also never get the slices toward the end of the day...I think they leave them out there under the lights all day. Ive been a long time customer. I was really disappointed with my order yesterday. Something has happened at the restaurant, not sure if it has been sold to someone else, but the quality in used to expecting was not there. Pizza dough was not fresh. Cheese quality has been changed. Portions on pizza low. Pizza was very oily. Salad ingredients were not fresh. Salad dressing watered down. I also think I got food poisoning from it, an hour later I was very sick. Sad. I love the other Ottos especially Coolidge Corner in Brookline where pizza is fresh, place is clean and friendly. So I was excited when I learned they were opening in my town. This place is very poorly run if it is run at all. Tables and floor are a mess. Since it's very low volume during week, pizza just sits there before they nuke your slice. Service is lackadaisical. Like they are doing you a favor. I've given them many chances and didn't want to write a negative review until they had a chance to "get the bugs out" of their operation. Sadly they didnt. Love their double dough vegan spinach, kalamata olive and roasted garlic pizza! It's so Indulgent. The dough is crusty and fluffy and chewy, the dollups of sauce are the perfect balance of tangy and sweet and this is the only place that is generous with the amount of vegan cheese they use. I love Otto pizza and their new location in East Arlington is no exception. I would define this location as fast casual, they have limited table service, and you order at the register. I love the crispy crust and all the interesting flavors. While I am disappointed when they don't have my favorite Mashed Potato Bacon pizza on the rack it forces me to try something else. I've never been disappointed with anything I've tried here. Most recently I tried a spicy carnitas pizza that was just delicious! The first time I got pizza here, the pizza was comically misshapen, the crust on one side was burnt, paper thin, and collapsed when we tried to lift it. All together it was a huge let down (especially since I'm a big fan of the Harvard location). The second time I got two custom pies covered in meat, which came out excellent, and were an overall big hit at my get-together. They were relatively pricey but not unreasonable. Overall? We had a meh first experience with OTTO, but it was because we hadn't figured out how to work with their unusual menu and pizza style. We've given it a few more chances and we've come to appreciate their strengths. We always "hold the asiago" because we don't care for the strange cheese lumps. But they are happy to do it. Also, they have a limited selection of toppings, but the ones they have are very good. We've been back maybe four times, and the only reason I haven't gone with five stars is that one time we ordered and waited well over an hour for our pizza. We were pre-movie, so we ended up having to get it to go and put it in the car for later. But they were very apologetic and slipped us a gift card for our troubles. I think they have some trouble dealing with crush times, but we've been very happy with delivery when we weren't in a huge rush. If you go there for the first time, read the menu carefully and ask the order taker for any suggestions or modifications. read more
