The pizza is the bomb! Located on F Street in South Boston, this is place has the best pizza in Southie. Thin & cooked to perfection. We had the mashed potato pizza with bacon & chives. So tasty. Don't knock it until you try it. Otto originated in Portland, ME. A friend told us that we needed to try this particular pizza. Although it's hard to imagine potato on pizza, it was incredible! Very quaint pizza parlor. Tim, our server was top notch. Very reasonably priced. Off Street parking is available. Very clean. A must try.

We've ordered from Otto south Boston in the past but never again. We ordered a large pepperoni and it was BEYOND thin crust. Like too thin--like they ran out of dough and was trying to make it last for all the orders tonight. It tasted like eating paper thin cardboard. Super disappointing and their pizza isn't cheap. Cheese also tasted a bit weird. They also sliced it so bizarrely, some huge slices and some super small slices. All around disappointing. That being said we ate it all because we were starving and you can't exactly return pizza--especially after you already made it back home. Lost a neighborhood customer.

UPDATE to my Prior Review: One of the reps high-up at Otto reached out to me after being made aware of the poor experience I had by the social media team. He apologized profusely for the poor experience, the delay in making it right, and owned up to the poor experience. He ensured that the salad was refunded to me and was incredibly helpful and apologetic, as my poor experience isn't the typical experience they want a customer to have. It's rare to find companies that will own up to a poor experience and/or mistake. I applaud the team at Otto for making it right. I genuinely appreciate it and it goes a very long way for me. I do hope this location in particular improves the quality of the food and pays better attention going forward. I would consider giving it another shot in the future. Everyone deserves a second chance in life.

Was craving pizza and as a vegetarian, Otto has a great buffalo cauliflower pizza. So I decided to place a pick up order, I live about 20 minutes from this establishment. My husband and I drove down to pick up the pizza, upon arrival back home we opened the box and before we could realize that it wasn't cauliflower but a whole pizza filled with chicken we both took a bite! Immediately I call the establishment and told them what happened, I was put on hold to see what they could do about the situation. The young man came back on the phone and proceeded to tell me I had to wait until tomorrow and speak to the head manger to see if I would be able to get a refund. I told him that the mistake happened today, so why should I have to call tomorrow to see if I could get a refund. The customer service is 0-10. Only when I complained further and said this situation should be dealt with tonight, I was offered to be made another pizza once I brought back the pizza that was made in error. Never again!

The most greasy, tasteless mess of a pepperoni pizza I have had in my entire life. Totally gross.

Look how thin. I don't even know how you make it that thin. It's awful. I'm all for a thin crust but not when it's see through and burnt

Awful - the pizza is 30 dollars and you 0 dough or sauce. They added a new double dough option because they are skimping on the dough which is absurd. They burn the pizza half the time and it's never ready on time

We ordered a pizza by phone during the St. Anthony Feast, and the woman who took our order was curt and rude from the start -- I chalked it up to the festival rush. But it got worse when we picked up. We paid $32 for a pizza and asked if we could sit inside to eat it and there were plenty of available tables. We were told no -- inside is table service only, and takeout means you take it and eat elsewhere. Fine, except there was nowhere to sit outside at the festival. When we asked about using one of their own outdoor tables (they had roughly 30, and it was 11:15am, 45 minutes before the festival even started, so the tables were empty), we were told those were reserved for table-service customers only. This was after we'd already spent $32 in their restaurant. Regina's has been around for 100 years, but somewhere along the way they stopped caring about basic hospitality. Paying customers with nowhere to eat their food shouldn't be treated as an inconvenience. We won't be back.

I was expecting a delicious pizza packed with flavor. Instead I got something that I had to force myself to eat. I know Boston is not known for their pizza but I was expecting something halfway decent. If it was not for the Uber Eats discount I would have been upset with spending the cash. Even though I was born and raised in the Boston area and have resided here for the entirety of my three decade long life, I've never had the original Santarpio's pizza until just now. I remember eating at their second location on Route 1 not long after it opened, but I thought it was just okay. Ever since then I've always thought to myself, "the original has gotta be better, right?" Well, my boyfriend and I finally made our way to the original Santarpio's on a Saturday a little after noon. The place isn't much to look at but was hopping for the weekend lunch rush with almost every table full, and we got put in what appeared to be one of the last available tables in the place. Our order was taken very quickly after sitting down. The menu is strictly pizza with around a dozen toppings to choose from and a handful of grilled meats. That's it. We ordered a pizza with garlic and hot peppers as well as a steak tip skewer. The steak tips were juicy and cooked nicely, but they tasted like they lacked seasoning or marinade so I had to sprinkle some salt and pepper on them. Of course, the pizza is what we were really there for and I can tell you that it checks all the boxes for a classic pizza. The crust is on the thinner, crispier side which I actually prefer. The pie as a whole had a great color and good flavor between the cheese, sauce and toppings. After experiencing it for myself, it's pretty easy to understand why Santarpio's is so highly regarded in the world of pizza. They stick to what they know and they execute it well.

We had the meat lover's pie and oh my. Wgat a delicious fusion animals, cheese, tomatoes and crust. The taste took me back to a pizza I had many years ago at a place in Cambridge--in a great way! They only sell whole pies, which at first seemed annoying (the first time I tried coming here a few years ago I was by myself and couldn't eat a whole pizza alone) so I had to make this my inaugural tasting). But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow. The menu is simple: pizzas and meat skewers. They know what they do well and lean into it hard. The ambiance has a rustic feel, with tall, weathered wooden booths that make eating a close experience, so please bring people you really like! The servers are present but not hovering and checked on us with the kind of frequency that says, "yeah we should let you eat but not forget you are there." I will be back for sure.
