Really great place. Love the vibe for sure. Everything is fresh and the employees are kind and helpful. One of our favorites is of course the original chicken sandy, regular fries. The house sauce is the real winner and their pickles are the real deal. Only downside is parking is not great, if you wanna eat there not too many places to sit (we usually take ours Togo) and it's pricy. However that's to be expected unfortunately in a mountain town :( Finally 5% discount if you pay cash!! Kudos Otto's!!! In a sadly cashless society we love to support a business that still values a cold hard dollar :) read more

Fiancé is gluten free so we had to stop and try it out. We got the original chicken sandwich and everything from the chicken, the bun and the pickles were sooo good. Cant wait to try more stuff from there because everything looks good. Just wish we lived in fairplay so we could eat there more. read more

Otto's is always great. Breakfast burritos at any time of day, yummy fried chicken sandwiches, good fries. Love it! Otto's also does a solid takeout business, and you can call ahead for it. It can be a little crowded around dinner time on weekends, so plan accordingly. read more

Great place for sandwiches, and they serve breakfast all day. We were a little surprised at the average $15 price for a sandwich without fries in such a small basic spot. But our pastrami sandwich was amazing and the side of fries yummy. There are a few tables inside and also outside. The chef came to ask if we enjoyed our food and was super friendly! read more

A small place with a big taste! You order up at the counter and they have a few tables inside as well as outside for seating. It was our first time and so we naturally ordered a little bit of everything. We tried the Otto's special chicken sandwich and oh my gosh, you have to try it. Full of taste. We had the Philly cheese steak and it was a little different from what were use to, a hint of sweetness but nonetheless it was good. Now let's talk about the hot honey boneless chicken wings... mouthwatering. Until now I thought I didn't like hot honey but they proved me wrong. We had the hot honey chicken sandwich too and of course it was delicious. Fries were fried just perfectly. We ordered the BLT but by this point I was too full, however my brother said it was the best BLT he's had. Beverages come separately and sold in bottle/can ( no fountain drink). Kids menu is available and the portions are large. I have a 7 year old who could only eat half his cheese quesadilla. Staff were supper helpful and friendly. Cozy little spot! Dropped by as we were passing through because a friend highly recommended it. Felt and looked clean, smelled amazing! Staff was super friendly and helpful! And tasted even better! I have to say I was not expecting this quality of food in the middle of nowhere Fairplay. I had the Hot Strami sandwich and it was magical. The pastrami was a little spicy and had absolutely zero fat in it! The meat to bread to coleslaw ratio was perfect! The fries were hot and crispy! The menu was much more diverse than I had anticipated. I wanted to try so many things but I'm happy with what I ate. Be prepared to spend a small fortune for this food. A sandwich, French fries and can of soda cost me $27. Despite the price, the place was packed. It's a small building with seating for 15-20 people maybe? Went on a last min trip to Colorado w/o much planned besides hiking. Being gluten free & driving hrs between parks I was sure I wouldn't have anything to eat until my daughter found this place. She read the menu & I was shocked. I haven't had a fried chicken sandwich in ages. Everything about this place was 5 stars. The service was perfect, friendly, attentive, answered all questions. You could tell they cared. The atmosphere was adorable, South Park bathroom had us giggling. The food was amazing. The gluten free bun didn't fall apart even with wet toppings such as cole slaw. The chicken was moist and very flavorful. We drove 2 hrs back to eat here twice on our trip and both times I had the hot honey chicken sandwich, gluten free with Cajun fries (also gf). I can't wait to get back out to Colorado to eat here again! read more

Driving through the mountains in Colorado and was hungry. Didn't see much but then spotted a small place on the side of the road with 12 people outside. Pulled into a small parking area and walked in to a counter where you order. It was lunch so we skipped the delicious sounding breakfast burritos and decided on an Original Chicken Sandwich, Hot 'Strami, and Cheesy Bacon Cowgirl Fries. The latter was a large platter of excellent, crispy fries with melted cheese and bacon, a special ranch sauce and a side of sour cream. Very good. The chicken sandwich was large breast meat on a bun with dill pickles and a honey butter. Superb. The pastrami sandwich was thin sliced meat, a great coke slaw with heat, Swiss cheese and their special sauce. It was also very good. Place your Oder with a very efficient counter girl, pay, then grab a seat on the outside picnic tables. They bring it out to you. Overall great lunch, a little pricey but what isn't now. read more

Heaven touched my lips here, tonight. The best way I could describe this place is like finding a haystack in a pile of needles. I was carted to this unsuspecting location and shortly discovered the Atlantis of chicken sandwiches. In this day and age, Otto's location stands head and shoulders above the leviathan of monopolized convenience chicken. Only on rare occasions do I wish I had the ability to leave more than 5 stars. Otto's is truly a local gem. My wife and I stayed in Fairplay for our honeymoon and ate here almost every day. Yelp to the rescue again! We enjoy traveling, but with the cost for food we want to make sure that we enjoy our meals. Based on the reviews we came here. It was crowded but they get you through pretty quickly. Everything is made to order, so times vary. We had enough to take back for a snack later. We almost left when we walked in and saw that it was an order-at-the-counter setup, and we were SO glad we stayed! UNREAL fried chicken sandwiches, crispy fries, and little saladS PACKED with the good stuff (avocado, sprouts, pomegranate seeds, etc). The staff was SO friendly and cared SO much about everyone's experience there. We won't drive through Fairplay again without a stop at Otto's! A new favorite, 100%. Literally the best chicken sandwiches either of us has ever had. Not basic, and loads better than stopping at a sportsbar or something and getting meh food. Exceptional!! Thanks, fellas! read more

Amazing food! We shared the boneless bites, a SIDE (huge) of Cajun fries, and a special sandwich. It was all amazing. Forget about ketchup and just order a couple extra sides of the best ranch you'll ever eat. Staff was friendly and our pup enjoyed being able to hang with us on the patio as we ate. History

Established in 2019.

We started out as a small Food Cart in Alma, CO above 10,000'. With love from our customers and great support from our community, we quickly grew into one of the best and most delicious food options in the area. As demand for our quality and service grew, and as our family has gotten larger, we were blessed with the opportunity to open a second location in Fairplay, CO in 2022. We are ever evolving as a business and as people, and are extremely grateful to be in service of our communities, while providing ourselves a great work environment with the opportunity to grow.

Meet the Business Owner: Brian B.

Brian, "Otto", grew up in the restaurant industry and worked every position the service industry has to offer at some point. Brian saw a need for a quality food option in the community as he was builidng a home and a life in the mountians. An opportunity presented itself in the form of a food cart, and the story of Otto's began. The menu is a creation filled with food 'Otto' loves to eat, with influences from the south, the mountains, the midwest, and all of Brian's restaurant experience. Over the last few years, Otto's has grown exponentially, and is proud to serve multiple communities and provide leadership, direction, and a wonderful environment to work in for more than 20 employees. Brian has recently become a father, and his passion for food, community, family, positivity and gratitude is higher than ever before.

Food was delicious! Great healthy choices. I had the avocado toast- my only regret was not getting TWO! My husband had the quesadilla - flavorable! This is a MUST STOP! Employees/Owners were very welcoming. They gave our dog Blue a treat! We have been staying outside of Fairplay at an Airbnb all week. Wow, this might've been the best sandwich I've ever eaten, and it was gluten free! Hands down would eat this everyday. Absolutely massive sandwiches too. This is a MUST STOP in Fairplay Co.! The Dabbers Delight is hands down the best Breakfast sandwich if not any sandwich I have EVER had. For the Price perfect.
