We just visited yesterday with a party of 5. The service was wonderful and both the food and drinks were delicious. We all went with the magical dining options and some of us decided on the pairing of drinks with each course. I got the Mariposa, Pina, and Arturo Fuente. The Mariposa nice and light and a great start to the drinks. The Pina smelled spicy and strong, but was a good balance when you sipped it. The Arturo Fuente was strong and tasted like a cigar and was very tobacco and coffee forward; it was great with the sweet dessert. For food, I went with the ceviche which was nice and fresh. The mustard seed gave it all a little kick. The main was the roja vieja which was nice and tender and shredded just right. For dessert, I got the bread pudding which came with ice cream topped with caramel. The ice cream was creamy, but not overwhelming sweet. All the portions were so generous! If going with someone, I'd recommend sharing the cocktails, but it was a great value at $30 additional. The courses on magical dining were $40, but they had some options for additional pricing.
Food is so good I cried. Came for magical dining month which I almost forgot was a thing. What a treat! $40 for an entree, app, and a dessert? Feels like I'm back in the early 2000's! We dug into the Lechon and the Ropa vieja. Two Cuban staples. And we were not disappointed! Cesar salad was ok, I did like the dressing but not a fan of the bitter seasonal greens, lots of people like that though just my preference. The ceviche though with the mustard greens was chefs kiss! Overall the feel of the place is cozy yet vibrant with quick service for drinks that keep you entertained. Parking is an absolute nightmare at peak times but that's the price we pay for milk district vibes! Regardless, I'll be back for more, if I can find parking ;)
Otto's is a must. A very pleasant experience from start to finish. Ambiance: tropical, lush, evoking Old Florida and Cuba. Absolutely love the tables and chairs, the lighting and the green natural ceiling. Drinks: Phenomenal work by the most talented and friendly mixologist/bartender in Orlando, Jose Luis. Food: we tried the pasteleiros (carne y queso), the ropa vieja (amazing, truly the best one yet, the meat was extremely tender, moist and well seasoned), and the bread service. Everything came out quickly and warm.
Otto High Dive was our next stop on my Magical Dining tour, and wow, what an experience! My sister and brother-in-law were visiting, so we made reservations (definitely recommend). Parking was easy with free spots in the back and additional street parking. We were a little unsure where the entrance was at first, but a staff member outside noticed and guided us right in small detail, big impact. Once inside, we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The restaurant was lively and busy in the best way. It's an intimate space, but beautifully styled very much giving South Beach energy. Our waiter, Louis, truly elevated the experience. He introduced himself, explained the menu thoroughly, and made great recommendations. We opted for the Magical Dining $40 three-course menu along with the $30 drink pairing, which included a drink for each course such a great value. My meal: * Appetizer: Fresh ceviche with tuna, avocado, and watermelon light, flavorful, and unique * Drink: Floridian Slip refreshing and perfectly balanced * Entrée: Ropa Vieja - rich, tender, and paired perfectly with rice, beans, and Cuban bread * Drink: Funky - fruity with a nice kick * Dessert: Maduro Bread Pudding - sweet, warm, and indulgent * Drink: Coquito - smooth and the perfect ending Every single course was thoughtfully prepared, and the drink pairings complemented each dish beautifully. Overall, everything from service to ambiance to food was amazing. I'm already planning a return visit to try their happy hour menu!
I'm really glad we tried this place, but probably won't be in a rush to come back anytime soon. The parking is a tight shared lot, so you might get lucky and find a spot, or park across the street and walk over like we did. Our reservation was at 7pm and we didn't get seated until almost 7:30pm. The place itself isn't very big, it's cozy, cute and I liked the vibes but when the other couple we were meeting with showed up it did feel a little crowded by the host stand. The host was nice enough to give us a menu to browse while we waited and someone came to ask us what drink we would like to sip on (i really thought they were offering us a free drink for the wait, but later saw we were charged for them, no biggie but would have been nice considering we waited so long) Drinks were all so so good! No complaints there. We started with the smoked fish dip and ceviche which was different than your typical one, but refreshing! I had the skirt steak - it was flavorful but definitely heavy on the salt. I still really enjoyed it as well as the rice & beans. Hubby got the ropa veija which he enjoyed. Our friend got the osso buco which he liked, but said the chicharron was not good at all. We then had some pastelitos for dessert! They added a 18% gratuity to the check, which was fine and I appreciated them telling us as well as circling it. Overall I think it was really good but nothing out of the world, you can find similar food for much less at your other local Cuban spots - what sets the place apart is the drinks and vibes so if you're looking for the whole experience then it's your place.
Justin our server made this meal very memorable. He was knowledgeable and helpful when we ordered. My husband went with the magical dining experience. He had the Caesar salad, ropa vieja and the orange tres leches. I had the squash and burrata salad. That salad?!!! Absolute perfection This is a definite winner and we will be back to enjoy more goodness. It's a smaller place, but very nice ambiance.
It's a classy Cuban restaurant in the milk district. But it gets the job done for a girl who misses her Miami Cuban food. I always admire the space when I enter. And the bar is stunning as well. I highly recommend making a reservation, even on a weekday. You'll be surprised by the amount of people coming through who enjoy a good meal and drinks here! I finally tried their espresso martini and it is on my list of top 5 best espresso martinis in Orlando. They have an espresso machine, so you know it's fresh. I was starving but thankfully the waiter was knowledgeable and told me that ordering the Vaca Frita as an appetizer is more than enough. (I'd say for 1 person but that's just me being big back. Also my friend was there just for the drinks and plantain chips). It's hard to not compare it to the authentic dish I had back in Miami. But I did enjoy their take on it. Wish the meat had more flavor, and was crispier and the whole chunks of garlic.. should have just been diced. We each got one more drink, and not going to lie the drink menu is unique. So shoutout to our waiter again. He asked what liquors/drinks I usually lean towards and suggested Leaf at Dawn. I have no photo but omg it was delightful
Oh, this place is so cool. I've been wanting to go here for a long time and everyone I know has had the same experience. I did absolutely fantastic. The food was phenomenal and I was able to go on a Friday and catch lunch. I had the burger which is only offered for lunchtime I believe on Friday and Saturdays and it was so good. I also had the Flancocho and it was amazing. I have suggested a cohort meet up for happy hour because it was that great. Can't wait to return. The parking is a nightmare, but it was well worth circling around and stalking people.
I am so glad I finally got to try Otto's! The food and drinks are delicious! We got the Vaca Frita which is a Flank Steak, Tostones, Caramelized Onions, Red Sofrito, and Aji Verde. The flavors are perfectly layered! Same goes for the Mojo Chicken - Roasted Chicken, Braised Onion, Chimichurri, White Rice, Black Beans, and Cuban Bread. The chicken was so moist! The service at the bar was great! Kudos to Brandon for making drink suggestions. We first had the espresso martini, then the Key Lime Fizz (adorable mini key lime cheesecake on top) and followed by the Piña Mamecita. The place is a little small, but decorated with a tropical kind of feel to it. Parking is also limited, however I think they are working on that. I'm already looking forward to going back, just wish I lived a little closer!
Food - The food was all amazing! For starters we ordered the Arancini and meat pie. For mains we got the pulled beef, and steak. Both were great with large portions. For drinks we got a pitcher of the sangria and I don't recall the flavor but it was very boozy. lol we could barely get through the pitcher. Service - The entire staff, host, server and manager were all very friendly and attentive. Our server made great recommendations food wise and for night life as we were from out of town. Ambiance - Nice decor and table setup. Good amount of space and tables. I liked the styling of the restaurant a lot. They also had blankets for the colder denizens of our table. Highly recommend stopping by Otto's High Dive. I know I'll be back next time we're in Orlando.
This was my first time here and definitely not my last! Service , ambiance and food were all 5 stars for sure. I originally came here to meet a client and ended up staying for food and drinks with another friend who also wanted to try this place. I am a lover of any kind of oyster and these were so fresh , I could have easily ordered another round. I have a lot of special things to celebrate coming up so I do plan to come back with friends and family and have a good time !!!
Went here for happy hour and it was okay. I will say, the picadillo dish is amazing and a must order! $2 up charge to add flavor to my mojito. I didn't particularly like the tostones because the sauce had a strong vinegar taste to it.
Otto's is such an awesome place! The drinks are incredible and food even better. It's a cute and small place in a popular area. Our waiter was super attentive and friendly. We started with the tartar which is UNREAL! Seriously the best I've had. Then we ordered the ribeye and thoroughly enjoyed it. The sauce on top along with the chimichurri was so good. We then ended with a flan espresso martinis which was the perfect sweet treat to end the night. The only thing that takes away from the evening is the parking situation. It is super hectic and you are lucky to find a spot in the lot! It took us 10 minutes to snag street parking then walk over. Other than that will be back to try more (will probably just uber)!

Obsessed with this place!!!! I had the most lovely experience. Their happy hour is unmatched in my opinion!! Half off glasses of wine... discounts on appetizers and not to mention the shrimp with mango sofrito that I got as my "meal" it was melt in your mouth SO GOOD. The fish dip was nice and chunky with lots of meat and delicious toppings. I wanted to order the oysters as well but I was too full. Everything sounded delicious and I really enjoyed the bartenders and the whole vibe of this place. I went wanting to sit outside but was happy with the vibe in the bar area and they let me test several wines before deciding which I wanted, which was super nice. Great people, drinks and food! 12/10! Highly recommend the Can Sumoi white wine with the seafood. Sad I was only here for work but I must come back with friends!! read more

My sister wouldn't stop raving about this place! Especially their baked oysters so I knew I had to b fine it a go. First of all, this place is GORGEOUS with their tropical vibe, it makes me feel like i'm on vacation. They have a great selected of cocktails/mocktails inspired by latin favorites. At first, I felt some dishes were a bit overpriced, but given the presentation and quality of the food, it definitely makes up for it. Some of the highlights were: the delicious Coqui mocktail (citrus, coconut & pineapple), Guava pastelito cocktail, and the baked oysters!!! I didn't know what to expect as i've never tried oysters until now and I can't fathom going anywhere else but here for some! I saw they have happy hour everyday during the week so i'll be sure to stop in then! read more

We couldn't even get anything here the service was that slow so please keep that in mind when reading this. We were drawn to this place by the small fire outside with rocking chairs . We figured we would grab a drink before dinner. This was our first time here, so we walked in and went to the bar and asked an Asian gentleman bartender if we could order a beer and take it outside . He rudely replied "we have a bar stand outside specifically for that reason". Okay bro, I didn't know that don't give me attitude. We walk outside and I take a seat while my boyfriend waits at the little drink hut. We left after 5 min of not moving. The bartender was teaching the guests in front of us how to mix the drinks and having drinks with them. So for whatever reason just didn't care at all about the line forming. We left shortly after. Otto's High Dive always provides a great dining experience. The food, service, and relaxed atmosphere never disappoints. I visited this time for Magical Dining and the food was super delicious. Everything was tasty and very well cooked. Our waitress was very sweet and super helpful and patient as we ordered. I definitely will be visiting Otto's again in the future. read more

Thank you Jose for a great experience! We sat at the bar on a Saturday ahead of a concert at Camping World. We ate, we drank, we laughed and had an amazing time at OHD! I feel like it's rare for a place with stellar cocktails to ALSO have stellar food. Food-wise - we had: *Oysters to start - lovely ginger lime migonette. These were PEI oysters? Can't remember exactly but into them! Super fresh. *Tostones - my friend had never had them so we had to! Their version was solid and loved the Aji Verde! *Scallops & Foie Gras (Guava Sofrito. Watermelon Radish. Sour Orange Aioli. Citrus Microgreens.: okay wowow not only are Foie Gras and Scallops such a combo - they executed it PERFECTLY. the proteins were perfectly cooked/seared. also the richness was balanced out nicely with the guava, sour orange aioli) *Squash & Burrata (Coffee Spiced Kabocha Squash Burrata. Roasted Beets, Spiced Pepitas Seasonal Greens. Honey vinaigrette): multiple employees recommended this salad and boy-oh-boy they did not lead us a-stray! Absolutely delicious. The roasted golden beets were perfectly cubed too - what knife work!! *Rum Soaked Brown Butter Cake (Coconut Lime Curd, Toasted Coconut, Candied Lime Zest): this is served flambé tableside!! loved it. also it was sooo delicious. perfect butter cake texture and the lime curd really helped to create balance. For cocktails - I had both from the shaken & stirred side as well as a frozen coffee and some testers from an upcoming pop up: *Melange (Blue Cane Rhum, Tobala Mezcal, Passionfruit, Fennel, and Spirulina) - this is a seasonal color with GORGEOUS color and as you can read from the ingredients...it's NOT blue curacao (thank goodness because I'm not a fan). Well we spun our food roulette wheel one day and landed on Otto's High Dive. The place had been getting some amazing accolades around town, so we were pretty excited. We made our reservations and showed up timely. We got seated right up against the beautiful windows of what was decorated to be a beautiful Cuban patio with trellises full of foliage and wicker chairs. Really lovely. Service was A+ all around. Our server really talked us through the menu, weighing pros and cons on what to order that would most suit our palate and appetite. I also applaud the bartender, because I will tell you right now that this place has the best mocktails in town. With ingredients like red tea, angostura, and tobacco, this place took my taste buds on a whirlwind that I could not believe. So if you take nothing else away from this review, know that their mocktails are the best in town, hands down. We went hard and got a lot of stuff, so I won't bore you too much with every single thing. We started with a bread service. They've since upgraded this on their menu since I've been, which is good, because while good, this was the most lackluster part of the meal. I would definitely recommend you getting what is on the menu right now. Crab Salad (Pineapple. Lime. Avocado. Plantain Chips). Very good. Super fresh and acidic. The salty crunch of the plantain chips are perfect with it. A great portion, too. Croquetas de Jamon. Great little snack. Crispy, soft and gooey, but in a good way. Tiny little chunks of ham all within. Really good croquetas. Pastel de Carne. The amount of delicious filling inside was not enough for me. Too much pastry. Too many other good things on the menu. Skip this and move on. Daily Catch (Snapper) (Whole Florida Caught Fish. Preserved Sour Orange Beurre Blanc. Mango-Passionfruit Sofrito. Pickled Fresno Peppers). Whoa! This was good. All of the accoutrements provide a lovely Latin flair for this mild, but beautifully moist fish. A lot of pin bones, so if you're not into that, skip this, but for seafood aficionados, get this immediately. Pulpo (Charred Octopus. Confit Yucca. Sour Orange Vinaigrette. Grapefruit. Capers. Smoked Paprika). Finally, the main event. The best octopus dish I've ever had. This massive serving of tentacles was cooked perfectly, tender throughout, and paired beautifully with So much stuff, the grapefruit, the capers, the paprika, every bite could be different! We finished off with a classic Guayaba y Queso. Light, crisp, sweet but not too sweet fillings within. The perfect way to finish off this wild ride of a meal. With no surprise the drinks both with and without alcohol are top notch at Otto's. The ambiance was pleasant and you can tell the passion and attention to detail that went into the design of the restaurant. We were sat about 45 min - 1 hr after our reservation time which was unfortunate. The general manager did comp us a drink right before we were seated which helped alleviate the waiting pain. I would recommend the lobster entree and the steak entree. I do wish the lobster entree was larger for the cost, but overall the dish was incredible and something I would order again with the addition of an appetizer. read more

10/10 meal. Everything hit it out of the park - food and drinks. There are so many drinks to chose from and we loved them all. Very unique flavors that all came together very well. We started with the raw oysters and ceviche. The ginger-lime mignonette the oysters come with was delicious and the hot sauce in the little pipettes had such good flavor and wasn't overly spicy. Ceviche was very refreshing with the addition of the watermelon. The squash and burrata salad was a last minute addition and boy was it worth it. So yummy and the vinaigrette was amazing. Not your average salad! We also ordered the pulpo, lobster eschabeche, and ribeye. All excellent! The sauce on the ribeye is next level. I would dip bread into it, it was so good. And the beans and green sauce that came with the ribeye were also excellent. Finish your meal (if you have room) with the orange tres leche cake! read more

Wow wow wow. What just happened? Had such a beautiful night here. Did not have a reservation: not a problem. Went to the nearby brewery and waited for an available space to open up. We did not dive deeply into the food: we had a dozen raw oysters, some fish dip, the caviar service, and-- after two cocktails--a bottle of champagne. It is a playful place with serious food. Pros: Ambiance was absolutely stunning. It's like they built a beautiful Cuban patio indoors. Huge windows, plants everywhere, wicker chairs, just stunning. Service was good. Our server was great, and the bartender deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for what they did. Food was great! Well executed, plated beautifully, nice portion sizes, just excellent. Cons: It was hard to find a con, but I guess since I'm not much of a seafoodie, be wary of their whole fish offerings, because there are a lot of tiny little pin bones. Tips: Get the crab salad, so much fun with those plantain chips! Skip the pastel de carne, way too small for what it is. Best octopus dish I've ever had. Seriously, get this octopus. read more

My husband and I went to Otto's yesterday for happy hour. I love the design of the place. It's beautiful and made us feel like we were on vacation. Our server was really nice and was spot on with the recs. We ordered oysters, mai tai, and another cocktail (I can't remember the name). Everything was delicious. I can't wait to go back to try some more of their food options. read more

Second time coming here for their happy hour and must say this place is amazing! Super high quality ingredients and flavorful dishes. Love their smoked fish dip, grilled shrimp with mango and rice and their baked oysters and I don't even like oysters. I actually hate them but they bake them in a chili butter lime sauce with a crunchy pork rind topping. We got their skirt steak entree cooked to a medium rare perfection and was tender and juicy. Lastly we got their seafood soup/stew whatever called the Mariscado and oh my gosh the flavor was so rich and delicious and the seafood was perfectly cooked!! Also their drinks are amazingggggg. So well crafted and made with intention and love!! Definitely get their rum drinks since that's what they are known for!! 10/10 read more

When i tell you these drinks, the seafood and steak are unmatched... ONLY reason it's not 5 stars is because they took too long to bring out a steak knife and the food got cold. Could've been that one server but who knows. Regardless the food was delicious read more

Otto's was the perfect place for our wedding reception! Nicole was the perfect event coordinator could not have done a better job ensuring everything ran smoothly. The whole staff took amazing care of our guests. Otto's had already been one of our favorite restaurants but it shines even more for events! read more
The food is excellent! Everything that we ordered and tried are very tasty and flavorful. I love the creativity of how the food is prepared- it's very unique and exactly what the town needs. Went on a Sunday evening and the service was busy. Took abit for the wait staff to come back and check on us. The ambiance is lively, fun, and eclectic. I would definitely come back and try more items out the menu. read more
We visited Otto's again for a quick bite before a soccer game. We sat at the bar, and I ordered a mojito which was pretty awesome. I also got their lamb chops which I've been dying to try, and oh my they were fantastic. I absolutely love this place and I will always come back. read more

One of my favorite spots in Orlando! The vibe is always top notch. Small but such a cute spot. Parking is a little tricky, with it being attached to Sideward and Stasio's but sometimes you can get lucky. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and they were so good! Our server was super sweet and attentive. I try and stop here with friends for Happy Hour or late night drinks. Either way, this should definitely be on your list of the best in Orlando! read more

Dinner at Otto's is exceptional if you are looking for creatively curated alcoholic cocktails, delicious food with a Cuban influence, and atmosphere that is cozy yet lively. Not to mention the incredibly kind and attentive waitstaff that elevated the experience. 10/10 recommend this spot for a special dinner or for happy hour. Ummm, yes please! Best Downtown Orlando restaurant experience! Amazing menu options and well detailed cocktails. Whoever came up with their cocktails are amazing and I love them. My son had the rib meat, husband pork and myself the mouth watering skirt steak. Really, probably the best skirt I've had since Alberta, Canada. Super cute restaurant. Could easily fit in in the mighty Pacific NW. read more

We came for a drink and some apps and this is our new to go spot! We started off with some drinks outside before we waited and loved that there was a outside bar! The drinks were super good! You can really tell they out detail and thought into their menu! We decided on getting another round once we were seated and got the charbroiled oysters (which are insanely addicting), tostones (not pictured), and croquetas. The oysters were from New England and were melt in your mouth! The croquetas were yummy but the tostones were outstanding. Served with a garlic sauce they were really worth ordering. The vibe is super cute, nice ambiance, and trendy mills aesthetic! Would definitely be back soon! read more
Fantastic date night spot! Amazing cocktails, fun (slightly louder) indoor vibe, great design! Drinks Ordered: pachamama (if you like bloody Mary's/gazpacho this will be your new fave drink 15/10 stars!! You either love it, or not a fan), elote bebe (amazing balanced drink, I usually am not a fan of mezcal, great drink), Nevis breakdown (very delicious drink, crowd pleaser, easy drinker!), pahayokee (loved the mouthfeel, wasn't a fan of the strength of the drink, I like how its different from other cocktails just wasn't my flavor, okay). Food Ordered: Catch of the Day $65 (a bit pricey for red snapper, delish flavors, very well cooked, mango passion fruit sofrito was wonderful), ropa vieja (soooo delish, fantastic texture, great portion size, a winner of a dinner, highly recommend), tostones (crazy good texture, could've benefitted from a little more salt). Service was friendly and helpful! Overall, this spot lives up to the hype. Recommend for people looking for a trendy spot with unique cocktails! read more
This placeI swear it is the epitome of 'Latin comfort food chic'. Food that feels like a warm hug is not easy to find, but they sure nailed it here. If you plan to visit during #orlandomagicaldining definitely get the squash burratta salad (OMG!) and the ropa vieja (I swear it tastes just like my father-in-law makes it!). Their Florida Orange tres leches and Rum Cake simply left us in awe and enamored. Good Lord. Service was spectacular, and our server, Malia, was so attentive and sweet. And what can I say about the décor and ambiance? Breathtaking. This might be my new restaurant obsession here in Orlando. read more
This is my first time visiting Otto's high dive, and it was for a work meeting. We came into the place and were immediately greeted by the owner, who went over the menu, how everything works, and explained that it was more of a shared plates type of place. There was about 12 of us in our group, so we liked the idea of that! We were quickly seated (even without the full party, which was a plus), and my boss & I had a conversation while we waited for the rest of our party. Prior to my parties arrival, they set up the table with several glasses of water several bottles to pour from silverware and topic size place we thought it was really cool that they provided all the stuff prior to the party getting here so we didn't kinda have to just sit there and wait. Once everyone in the party arrive, we took a minute to look over the menu and decided to try one of their very famous meal options, the Abundancia. Which had a fitting name! This featured several carafes of daiquiris, a four tiered seafood tower, pastelitos, ropa vieja, rice and beans, cuban bread, and flan and tres leches for dessert. There was SO MUCH FOOD! And we had a great time enjoying it. The restaurant was busy, and a little crowded, but that only added to the experience. I'll be back soon! read more
I've been to Otto's High Dive 3-4 times now, but mostly just for drinks and oysters. The drinks are always fabulous, but I finally got to dine in and have a formal dinner the other night, and I was truly impressed! We had a reservation for a group of 9 and we were able to fit in their one large cozy booth nestled in the back corner. Our server was wonderful and patient as we ordered some appetizers to share, as well as the Abundancia for the table which includes a pitcher of daiquiris, the seafood tower, sweet & savory pastelitos, Cuban bread with butter & guava spread, ropa vieja, rice & beans, and your choice of dessert. It's a truly beautiful, generous spread that's perfect for dining with a bigger group of people. The seafood tower alone features oysters, shrimp cocktail, crudo, yellowfin & watermelon ceviche, and crab salad served with plantain chips. Additionally, we ordered the hearts of palm salad and the squash & burrata. Everyone at the table was raving about the burrata served with coffee spiced kabocha squash and roasted beets. The guava & cheese pastelitos were one of the biggest surprises for me... probably the best ones I've found in Orlando. That guava filling is on another level! We even ordered some extras which I enjoyed for breakfast the next morning. The ropa vieja (braised short rib) was amazing, accompanied by a hearty serving of rice & beans. I love that it felt like a true family-style feast. They have two desserts on the menu, and of course we had to try them both. These servings are massive and definitely shareable. Both the Florida orange tres leches and the flan duo (chocolate and traditional) are phenomenal, ending the meal on a sweet note! Circling back to the drinks, I've never had a bad cocktail here. All of their daiquiris are delish, love the frozen Froquito, Floridian Slip, Square Group, Chancleta, and don't miss their coquito. I'm currently pregnant, so I really appreciate the effort they put into their specialty mocktail menu. I tried the Coqui and the Santa Clara Spritz both of which were beautiful and tasty. Ok YUM! We had a team dinner here ahead of a work event, and what a great choice. We got the "abundancia" which came with daiquiri pitchers, a seafood tower, pastelitos, ropa vieja, rice and beans, Cuban bread & guava sauce, as well as dessert (we got tres leches and both regular and chocolate flan). We also got plantains, the squash burrata salad, and the hearts of palm. I think we tried nearly everything on the entire menu. We were seated at a long booth and pulled up 2 extra chairs to complete the table. We had just enough room for 9 of us. I ordered the sandflea mocktail, which was coconut, cinnamon, mace, and raisin. It was super milky, but I loved the flavors! Everyone seemed to enjoy the daiquiris (aromatic and san domingo) but I didn't try them. We did end our meal with strawberry coquito which I tasted - they were delicious and came in the most adorable little cups. My favorites of the evening were the crudo (Citrus Cured Kingfish. Mojo Aioli. Mango Salsa. Chicharrón. Cilantro), crab salad (Pineapple. Lime. Avocado. Plantain Chips), burrata salad (Coffee Spiced Kabocha Squash. Roasted Beets. Frisée. Burrata. Spiced Pepitas. Honey Vinaigrette), chocolate flan, and Florida orange tres leches. The desserts were PHENOMENAL - even if I hadn't saved room for them, I would have made room for them. I'm not an oyster girl but it seems like they're super popular here and everyone else at our table seemed to enjoy them. The interior is super cool - lots of brown and green, which I liked. Listen, this was an experience. I joined my teammates here for a family dinner and I'm so glad that I work alongside foodies who know all of the hot spots. You think you know a city and then you're introduced to a business that sticks with you. Otto's High Dive is definitely one of those spots. As a lover of Cuban food, the smells that hit me as soon as we walked inside took me back to South Florida and I knew I was in the right spot. As a party of 9 or 10, I can't believe that they found a way to accomodate us a table near the front. Prime seating! As soon as we sat down, we got down to business with ordering. Our manager Andi has fabulous taste and suggested we opt in for the abundancia family-style meal with ropa vieja. This meal comes with 2 daquiri pitchers, the seafood tower, a variety of pastries, ropa vieja, rice & beans, Cuban bread + butter/guava jam and a dessert of your choice. Wow. This was a brilliant idea to add to the menu! Can I say that each course got better and better as we continued eating? The bread was delicious and the butter was even better. I tasted the savory pastries to start and they were so good! The seafood tower? Bomb. I'm a big seafood lover and each layer was so fresh, the sauces complimented each option wonderfully, I could eat that everyday. Ropa Vieja is one of my favorite Cuban dishes and Otto's was so flavorful. The daiquiris were strong and tasty, the apple being my personal fave. I seriously can't sing their praises enough - the Chef was playing zerooooo games back there okay? And much love to the team! They were super accommodating and the service was beyond wonderful. Where to begin? This place really left a stamp on my list of favorite places to visit in Orlando. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for some modern yet classic cuban food with a twist. We had their Ropa Vieja and even typing this my mouth is watering from how delicious it was. We alson had their crab salad with plantain chips to accompany it. The drinks are made with such artistry. I had their version of an espresso martini and hubby had their Azabache with had Manchego to top it off. Highly recommended stopping in! read more
