We were a large group who had made reservations in advance, so the establishment was aware of the business they would be attending and servicing. Only one cook, only one to two waitresses. Our party was about 20 people. One table was serviced- food was not great as I heard. Our table was not so lucky, after 1 hour waiting for our food, some of us left; dissatisfied and disappointed we will not be returning to the restaurant. They should have informed the group that they did not have the staff for a be large party. Sorry no pictures no 5 stars! read more

very yummy food and nice quiet atmosphere. i stopped in at around 1:15 they close at 2pm and a couple folks still trickled in after me. i had the california burger with avocado and green chiles, side of fried and a pepsi. the food came out HOT and a really nice sized portion so much so that i couldn't finish my fries. i believe the gentleman that served my table was also cooking and he does a great job. bonus points for having the good shaved ice for soft drinks. my tabs was less than $20, it doesn't get better than that even at the drive thru. i'll be back, hopefully earlier next time to try some of the breakfast offerings and coffee. read more

Sit where you like with a smile. Very friendly! I ordered pancakes and I thought they were pretty good with warm syrup(a little watery, could be thicker) coffee was ok (4.50) cup was tiny. The atmosphere is dated yet original (I'm assuming). You have the TV & music playing at the same time. Overall 7.5/10 recommend: sure everyone has their own opinion and taste in foods. The staff are extremely welcoming and really take care of their customers. I have never had a bad food selection but the hash browns are BOMB! They have a seasoned skillet and those hash browns never disappoint. I've only had breakfast here so I can't comment on other menu selections but I'm sure they're great too. It's a much older location with dated furniture but that really has nothing to do with the food but wanted to make note of it. They ALWAYS have small fresh flowers at every table and I think that special touch is very meaningful. It brightens up the mood. read more

Super cute place. Went in the morning on a weekday so not super busy! Amy was really attentive to us! I'm assuming by the other reviews was bill also attentive. Been reading on a local MoVal FB page (the local one everyone living there is on), that a lot people go here for breakfast or to meet there - locals & local organizations. Finally got a chance to go in. Keep in mind, it's been there for a very long time, and it might appear dated, but that's its charm, an old school diner the seniors go to every day and gets crowded on the weekends. The owner was nice to us and served us fast. It was a weekday late morning so it was a little empty but we actually loved it. Food was good, nice portions and he was very attentive checking on us. This place reminds me of the Sun City Family Restaurant in Menifee, a popular place with the senior & families. And so Moreno Valley has the same sentimental restaurant as well. Walked in on a Friday morning at lunch time after a memorial service with a party of 18 including young children and the staff was very accommodating. Food was very good. My wife and i were pleasantly surprised to see that one of our favorite restaurants was still in business after many years and different owners. We had breakfast ,and we thoroughly enjoyed the eggs, sausages and potatoes, The server was very friendly and helpful, The menu had a large variety of different foods and it was hard for us to choose. When we were done we knew that we would frequently come back to this restaurant . Tried the menudo there: huge mistake. Flavor was ok, but I asked for a small bowel, and they delivered a very small bowel. The menudo seemed very similar to Juanitas caned menudo, and it probably was. How else can a place serve menudo every day? Shameful! Cilantro was wilted and only got two store bought corn tortillas. All this and a small coke for almost $20. This is not inflation...nothing but pure greed. Will never return to this much overpriced establishment with mediocre (at best) food. read more

It's a great place for breakfast but don't order the steak. The cook doesn't know the difference between rare, medium rare or well done. They use poorest cut of sirloin so expect to chew a lot. Eggs and potatoes and chicken steak was great though and reasonable price with great service but kitchen is a little slow even though we went when there was hardly any other customers. I ordered medium rare and the first steak was well done. The second was rare with a cold center. read more

We went there for the first time recently. The waitress was nice and sweet. The food was average priced but the serving sizes were small. I spent over $45 for myself and 2 kids to eat. It's cheaper to eat at a chain like Chilis. I understand that this is a small business and they can't compete with chains, but their portions either need to be bigger or prices slightly lower. The food was decent. I would probably try them again, just because I like to see small businesses succeed. But I don't think I would become a regular. read more

I'm afraid CoVid, the high price of operating in California and now this messed-up Recession has permanently damaged another local Gem. My Wife and I have been regularly coming here for 10+ years! We have been served by Al (the Owner) and many talented Staff during this time, with rare exception, always an enjoyable experience. For many months now, young, inexperienced servers have taken their place and dining here is a lack-luster experience at best. With the necessary price increases and some changes in food quality, poor service is going to sink this ship. The "Last Straw" for us was sitting in a sparsely filled room for 20 minutes without our order being taken while the Staff stood together at the counter area B.S.ing with each other, the Server had even come to our table, taken away our menus without even taking our order. For those of you stopping by once in a while for a bite to eat, you may get lucky, for those of us who come in here 4-6 times a month...we are done. We can travel 10 minutes farther to Cactus Cantina, have exceptional food, exceptional service and only pay a few dollars more! I had French toast which would have been flavorless without the cinnamon powered sugar, and my Mom had the biscuits and gravy which also could have used some pepper and salt or something. Checked this place out for our first time. Walked in and it was nice and quiet. Mostly all senior citizens. Ordered a coke and it tasted like water. Asked to change it to Rootbeer and it still tasted watered down. Not impressed. Ordered the chorizo Omelette with wheat toast. They gave me moldy toast!!! Yuck!! This place is fantastic. I eat there every weekend, and I am NEVER disappointed. It's one of the few mom and pop places in the area that deserve your support. I've never had a bad experience, and the owner and other customers are friendly, which contribute to a hometown feel in the midst of a big city. We stop in for breakfast on our way homw from camping. I had the French toast special and my husband had the Machaca burrito. My French toast was great and my husband was so big he ate half and had the rest for lunch. We will eat here again and hopefully be able to dine in. read more

Though they are only open for breakfast and lunch I think they are of the top restaurants in Moreno Valley and Riverside area. The food has a great selection of American and Mexican dishes. Also the price is very fair if you are on a budget. I had the Country fried steak breakfast. It came with the Country fried steak hash browns, 2 eggs and choice of toast or biscuits and gravy. "Our Place" is a Moreno Valley landmark that has been in business over 30 years. This little diner fills up on the weekends and it's only open breakfast through lunch; so keep that mind. I love the weekly specials, as it's the right price for the correct portions. Go ahead and try seveal of their larger plates though. I've never been dissatisfied; I even hear they have a secret menu... Cheese Cake Chimichanga anyone?
