this place is horrible and racist! their eggs taste like water their pancakes gave me the worst stomach ache ever ! their chicken nuggets was soaked in oil their burgers is under cooked and they have drug addicts as waiters very rude and disrespectful and will chase you out the restaurant demanding for a higher tip they are lucky i was with my family if not they would have something coming to them ! and they over charge I had a short stack of pancakes that was $9.00 and 2 scramble eggs that is extra $2.50 and a pizza burger that was $12 my wife had a cheese burger with onion rings that was $15 and my son got a bacon cheeseburger that was $16 and my daughter got chicken nuggets with fries that was $9.00 and a scoop of ice cream for $5 and we had 6 drinks in total that cost $7 so $42 just in drinks and the bill was a total of $115 and had the nerve to try and embarrassed me about a $5 cash tip I left on the table because that's what I had in cash and said I have to pay more. if I do go back I'm gonna go back to bother and troll them and make their lives miserable! read more

Our Town is a nice, local joint that is decorated in 1950's motif. It's small, clean and comfortable. I call it my breakfast place although they serve every meal. The breakfasts, however, are wonderful. In warm weather there are tables set up out front which is kind of nice for people watching. The portions are super generous. Priced slightly under diner food, it tastes better and gives you left overs. I recommend for breakfast: omelette, whole wheat waffles with fruit, pecan French toast, bacon (yes it's really good) and any kind of egg dish. My friends love their burgers and fries too. There's parking on the street. Bring your quarters or park on the side streets for free. Always be conscious of parking, speed and obey all traffic rules in Malverne. Our Town is my town now! Holy specials... Kielbasa and two eggs with sun dried tomato toast, Log-roll & fresh berries french toast, and more to come. My friend ordered the Log-roll french toast which was smothered in brown sugar. I couldn't help but look over several times. Her sweet dish balanced out my smokey kielbasa which I gladly took home to eat the next day. After looking at everyone else's pictures, I have to come back in for more specials! This is one of my favorite places to go on Long Island. All of the food is delicious as well as creative and the atmosphere makes for a great meal. Not only is the food great but the staff including the owner/only chef are inviting and cheerful and makes the meal taste that much better. I've lived on Long Island my entire life and only heard about this place within the last year; it is now a regular spot for me and I frequent almost every week. Anytime someone asks me "What is a good place to go to eat?" I gladly reply with OUR TOWN!!! Loved this quaint little luncheonette. My mother and I went for lunch this afternoon. The place was very clean and bright. The walls and seats were painted pastel pink and green. I got the turkey Reuben wrap, perfect size for another meal. My mother got the BLT sandwich made for a nice lunch for her. The bacon was very thick and very flavorful. The waitress was a little gruff at first, but if you were polite and had manners she will warm up to you immediately,l. I cannot complain about the service at all. They also make their own ice cream (so I have been told). Their hot fudge Sunday was quite good. This little shop has been around for quite some time. I love diner food, and this place offers specialty dishes that add a twist to your average breakfast. The other day I enjoyed multigrain french toast with a peanut butter drizzle, walnuts, and fruit. Another time I was there I enjoyed another french toast stuffed with cream (Can you tell I like my french toast?!) I could enjoy french toast and bottomless coffee for under 20$, so as a college student I really enjoy the prices, too. Wife & I fell in love with this cute downtown Malverne luncheonette. We went for breakfast but they have a surprisingly fleshed out menu for such a small local place. Let's jump right into it: Wife had silver dollar pancakes, turkey sausage. Husband had soft scrambled eggs & "famous" home made corned-beef hash w/ home fries. YUM YUM GET IN MA TUM! Very cutesy place. The decor is very pink and old time-y and I love it. I came here for lunch/ late breakfast and we were seated pretty fast. It's a regulars joint and you can tell by the constant chatter between the staff and guest which is always refreshing. The menu is breakfast, typical Americana foods, salads, sandwiches and some ice cream desserts. Located in what seems to be Malvernes' historic district there is a 2 hour limit municipal parking as well as side street metered parking which is great. No issues there. We were attended by a our server who read us off the specials menu. After a couple minutes we decided on a chocolate pancakes with hard fried eggs, wheat bread and home fries. I ordered the grilled chicken caesar salad and water. The chicken salad came with pita and it was massive with a good portion of chicken, and a massive serving of ice burg salad drenched in caesar salad dressing. The eggs were cooked great, the home fries were okay, some pieces were burnt and didn't taste great. My salad was a large portion and what I expected after paying about 12 bucks for it, but lots of the chicken was burnt and the salad was loaded with way too much dressing and ended up tasting like straight up mayonnaise. The pita was nice and warm. The fried cheese squares were nice but too oily for an already oily salad. My bf ordered lemonade and was never given water, my water also was never refilled. However, the place was a little busy and the guest were kinda chatty to the point where the two waitress were overloaded. Overall? It's a cute place. I'm glad I tried a locals joint but honestly there was nothing special about it. Service was alright, not the friendliest but just to get the job done. I ordered the "Specialty Sandwich" of Grilled Chicken with Tomato, Swiss cheese, Cranberry Sauce & Fresh Spinach Leaves on Pumpernickel Bread ($11.95). It was very good & the cranberry sauce tasted homemade with small soft cranberries in it. My friend order the Crabmeat & Mushroom Omelet ($9.95) and loved it. I would like to return & try the Old Fashioned Egg Cream ($3.95) and something off their Ice Cream Parlor section of the menu. Negative: The older waitress was inattentive, unpleasant and bordered on rude. We sat for a while before receiving menus and then waited more than 15 minutes before she returned for our order. It was a bit busy and we understood but I would think one would say, "Thanks for your patience" or "Sorry it's a hectic day" with a smile but NO, "Do you know what you want?" I asked if the swiss was melted. Response: "It's a hot sandwich so I would say so." It wasn't. I asked if the bread had mayo or any sauce besides the cranberry. Response: "Is there anything listed on the menu?" Me: Not that I noticed." Waitress: "Then I guess there isn't!" Well, I have had in the past condiments put on food I ordered and it wasn't listed on a menu so I didn't think it was such an odd question. Our water glasses were not refilled & my friend did not get a refill on her coffee until we were all done & requesting the check. We all may have bad days where we aren't happy. I worked for years with the public and despite what I had going on I was polite to people & I wasn't working for tips! I did it because it's the right thing to do. We went there one Friday night ,i have to say you will eat better at Mcd. or Wendy's. I order the special some sort of pasta with fish,the pasta was over cocked the fish had no flavors whatsoever & the chef put cheese on top,now I'm Italian i know fish you don't put cheese on fish "ever'. my daughter order some sort of chicken also overcocked(burned). My wife had a chicken sandwich (no flavor at all). The only one the escape from this adventure was my son that order chicken fingers. Good job at making chicken finger chef. As far as diners go, this place take the cake. Everything was so good I felt like I was waiting for a catch. From the service to the food- a great time. Our Town is very welcoming, they treated us like we were old friends even though it was our first time there. The interior is really cool, but we chose to sit outside. Music is old school 50s era, and the two breakfast specials we had (meatloaf with eggs and pecan crusted French toast with bananas and blueberries; generous portions) were amazing. $28 total, including 2 ice coffees and everything else we ordered- we were seated immediately at 11am on a Sunday. Well no disappointment here, breakfast was great, had two eggs over easy ,crispy bacon and a buttered roll. My grandson had pancakes (3 large ones) which were cooked to perfection- the meals came with juice, coffee and a fresh orange wedge. The decor reminds me of the 50's, quite quaint and very clean. Would have given 4.5 stars, but had to settle on 4, because 5 stars is reserved for the very best. This place is not good. The food is flavorless and I was disgusted by the quality of the food. Initially I ordered an egg white vegetable omelette. This omelette was completely flavorless and watery. They added huge chunks of broccoli and old mushrooms. This omelette was so repulsive that I had to send it back. Instead I ordered 2 eggs over easy and home fries. Thinking, how could they mess this up. The eggs where cooked well but the home fries were not tasty. I had to hold my nose and eat my food because I didn't want to waste my money. My sister ordered a Belgian waffle with scrambled eggs. She thought they would put it on the side, but instead they dropped the watery flavorless eggs right on top of the waffle. Probably wouldn't come back here again, there are soooo many better diners on Long Island. I got split pea soup with pork (which was really quite delicious, though not worth 4 dollars a cup). For lunch I ordered an omelette which was tasty, though undercooked. The homefries were pretty average, but extremely greasy. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but this lunch was definitely not worth $16 plus tip (also got a coffee). I also heard women in the booth next to me complaining that their pancakes were burnt, though the dusty old waitress handled that problem swiftly, albeit not quite as sensitively as she could have.
