I have been trying to get my system completed since May 10,2022. They installed the panels on my roof in August 2022, then after many many many phone calls and excuses from OUR World Energy and threats by me to have the entire system removed they finally came out and installed the battery back up and wired the system. November 2022 the system was installed but after inspection by the building inspector some correction are required. December 2022 after more calls they are scheduled to complete the required wiring and if it passes the building inspector they say it can be activated by APS. No date on APS turn on yet. One world energy is nothing but a scam. Last spring one of their salesmen came out and talked to my husband for a couple hours. He agreed to have them come out and do a site survey to see if our roof could support panels. He signed a contract (that he didn't read, bad I know) but was told it was just giving them permission to come onto the property and look at the roof. He was never told that he was signing a contract that required us to cancel within 10 days or we'd owe them 10% of the quote. We attempted to contact them to cancel anyway when we decided it was too expensive. We never received a response so we figured we were good. A few months later we start getting notices that we owe them $3300. They literally did nothing but want thousands of dollars. From various reviews and the BBB this is a scam they pull quite often. No doubt they'll be next solar panel company in the news because they're part of a class action. read more

I have been extremely disappointed with this company. One of the main reasons I decided to switch to solar were the tax credits. I started the process with this company early enough in 2023 so I could secure both the state and federal credits. Its now November and there have been delays after delays and it now appears the project will not be inspected in 2023 meaning I will not be able to claim the NM credit for tax year 2023. Also the communications from the company have been poor at best. I am so disgusted that I plan to file a lawsuit or arbitration claim shortly. For me this is easy since I am a lawyer but for others it would be costly. My advice is to look around at other options. read more

I started on my solar journey with Our World Energy in May 0f 2024. It did not get up and running until the end of October of 2024. But by far my biggest complaint is the lies I was told about the Tax Credits. I was told over and over that I could either keep the 30 % in which case my payments would go up around $90 to $100 a month or I could let the 30% go back to the finance company and my payments would stay the same. I am just now writing this because when I started working on my taxes, I found out that the 30% is a NON-REFUNDABLE credit. It only goes to offset any tax liability that you may have each year until it is used up or the time runs out on it. SO, not only has my utility bill NOT gone down enough to siginificently offset the payments on the solar panels, but those same payments will go up another $90 to $100 a month. Too bad I don't have enough lmoney to SUE all involved for false advertising. read more

It's my understanding that they have joined the Parker and Sons company. I wish Park and Sons had done more due diligence on Our World Energy. We had a very knowledgeable saleman who we felt very comfortable. We put a $2,000 deposit down to get things started. We learned more about solar and what it entailed regarding our roof. I then read some reviews and decided that given the cost of roof repairs, and the negative reviews, we put the project on hold. The numbers didn't make sense for us. Obviously I asked for our deposit back. Many many times. Finally four months later we got their attention and were refunded. In February 2024. My 94 year old dad (who has limited hearing and lives alone) was targeted by the Our World Energy sales man. (Shy), salesman asked dad's neighbor to tell my dad that someone wanted to talk to him. (Why did Shy not ask the neighbor to buy solar panels). The neighbor was able to wake my dad up and talk to Shy. After some pleasant conversation Shy told my dad that he needed to have solar power. Dad said no and Shy left. A few days later Shy came back to give my dad another pitch for solar power. Dad enjoyed conversation with Shy and felt it rude not to answer the door so he let him in. Shy came over 4 times and dad told Shy he was not interested in the solar panels 3 times. The 4th time Shy asked my dad if he would like a $1,500 check to spend anyway he would like. Dad said anyone would like a free $1,500 check but dad did not say he wanted to purchase a solar system. Shy asked for dad's email address. At 94 my dad has never used email or text even though it is available on his phone. Dad told Shy that he did not have an email address, Shy told him that did not sound correct so without asking he picked up dad's phone from the kitchen counter and started looking through dad's phone. Shy told dad that he did have an email address and continued using dad's phone. He added his contact information into dad's phone without permission. A few weeks later dad heard a racket on his roof, he went out to check on it and he saw the solar panel installers putting the solar panels on his roof. He asked why they were putting them on his roof? They said they were told to. Dad did not know what to do but thought they were $99/month if he had to he could afford that. When I found out about this I called OWE to cancel the fraudulent contract that dad knew nothing about. They said it was after the 10 day cancellation period and could not be cancelled. I said my dad never agreed to purchase the solar panels and dad says he never signed a contract. I was told that the contract was doc-u-signed on February 19th 2024 with dad's IP address. Shy called me on my phone after me trying to verbally cancel dad's contract. Shy told me and my wife that he downloaded the solar contract and explained the contract on dad's computer screen. He also said it was $99/month for 25 years he did not say the monthly rate increases every year. I told him that dad does not have a computer so he could not have showed the contract to dad. Shy corrected himself and said he meant he showed dad the 13 page contract on dad's phone screen. That could not be true, dad would have requested a printed contract that he could read and not try to read it on a small phone screen. When I got with my dad and asked him about Shy downloading a contract and explaining it to him dad said that he never agreed to purchase the solar system, Shy never asked him if he could download the contract and Dad never asked him for his phone number to be put into dad's contacts. Shy did not explain the contract to dad or dad would have told him again more forcefully that he did not want the solar power. I asked dad if he doc-u-signed on his phone. Dad replied that Shy had dad's phone for a few minutes looking for dad's email address and inputting Shy's contact information. ( I believe that was when Shy downloaded the sales contract and signed it himself on dad's phone without telling dad being aware of it. This was February 19, 2024). I had the solar company email me a copy of the contract, I printed it and took it over to my dad's so he could see it. Dad said the contract was completely different from the sales pitches Shy gave him. Shy never mentioned lease to own, 25 year loan, the possible need to purchase additional electrical power from SRP. If the solar panels did not provide enough power dad would have to pay a higher rate than homes without solar power. Shy only told him that $99/month would be all he had to pay even if he was running his AC 24/7 with the doors and widows open. Dad said that Shy did not show dad anything on his phone, much less a contract and did not have dad press any buttons on dad's phone or sign anything on dad's phone. I typed up a cancellation letter for dad explaining Dad never signed the contract so he was not ware of it until more than 10 days after Shy had signed it. They said it was too late to cancel. I filled a complaint with the Attorney Generals office which was forwarded to the solar company (OWE) and got the same answer that the panels were already on the roof and it was too late to back out. My next step is to go to the Mesa police department to see if anything can be done. This is a terrible abuse of our vulnerable seniors to be taken advantage of. read more

I had my solar installation completed by Our World Energy, LLC. They would have received a 5-star rating from me, but it took about 1 year for my solar to get installed, which is still not connected. This is partly due to the city I live in. The sales rep M. Sessa was impressive. Outside of giving a great sales pitch he was personable, relatable, and had answers to all the questions and concerns I had. My project manager on the other hand was not as great as M. Sessa. She lacked communication with the customer because I never knew what was going on with my solar project. I then received a new project manager, K. Khan, who has represented the company exceptionally. K. Khan was very responsive and kept me informed about the solar process and what to expect next. K. Khan communication and responsive action to my concerns were perfect. I would recommend Our World Energy, LLC to friends, family, and strangers based on the positive interactions I had with M. Sessa, and K. Khan. On another note, I did not think it was fair for me to start paying my solar loan with "Dividend" when my solar system was not connected and has not been connected since the install. I am currently paying my solar loan and my electrical bill and have been for the past 7 months. On the other hand, Our World Energy, LLC has "made it right" by reimbursing me for every solar loan payment I have made until my solar system is connected. read more

Saturday two salesman showed up to my door. After ringing the doorbell and knocking a few times I finally answered to get them to stop. They introduced themselves and the program and I said multiple times I wasn't interested. They continued to explain and after I said I didn't want to show them my electric bill they said they would come back at 3. I looked up the website and saw the reviews and when they came back I let them know again I wasn't interested and was told "why didn't you tell us that from the beginning". I explained I told them multiple times the first time and they were being pushy about it and he responded with, " I wouldn't call it pushy I would call it positively persistent". I understand salesman are trying to make the sale, but when you are told multiple times no, take the hint. First thing is for you to know how they charge you for solar. You pay for how much power your panels once installed, will produce, NOT by how many panels go up. Want to check this out, get a quote with all panels on the sun side of your home, and one with the same number of panels on the shady side. The price difference for my home was $4800 for exactly the same installation. This Algorithm used by every solar company is the same. It is used to determine how much money they can get out of you according to how much power you are projected to make. NOT FAIR you say? SCAM. Second thing is, once you have any work done and they have lied to you about about anything (likeTaurus did to me, the "Operations Manager" for this company) like the battery will be installed next week (first week of May) once the permit is approved by my power company. This lie is to get the installation started on my roof for the reason of (what he thought was) locking me into this contract. However I caught him in a lie because I asked for the battery CAD and he told me it is not done yet. Afterwards I found out you need the CAD to file a permit. So he Inadvertently admitted he was a liar. (which helped me get a battery install at NO CHARGE) My battery was finally installed the last week of JULY. The night before my battery install was to take place Taurus called me for a long 90 phone call. His goal, to finish the battery install that was supposed to take place in May. He finally told me he would finish the install for free and the value is $10,500 as per my contract if I allowed them to finish. I reluctantly said yes. Next day the battery was installed and you guessed it, more problems. They filed the wrong permit and the permit was not granted until December 28 when my power was finally flowing. Third thing is panel location. I argued my contract was 9.2Kw and having 8 panels on the north side of my house gives me 3 months of no power. Which is why you have the price difference sunny panels versus shady production. I get 5.5Kw in the winter, HOWEVER Taurus once again told me if the production is low they will add more panels after the 1 year mark because they have to check the power production to see if it matches the contract values. This is where the algorithm comes into play again. They adjust the angels and panel locations in the algorithm to give them the OK to lie to you about your annual production. the only numbers in my contract re 9.2Kw however they are now saying my panels are over producing as per my contract. Laughable that these scammers will try to talk nonsense when the black and white contract says 9.2Kw. They came up with this number of 1.5Mw annual is my contracted amount of power to be made by my system. Yet it is nowhere on anything I have signed. They refuse to add more panels so the last resort I have is to SPILL THE BEANS on solar scams and start Arbitration. OWE Our World Energy is one of the largest scamming companies out there if you have any sense refuse to let them install your panels and have the contract signed at another company. The person writing the contract originally is likely a free agent and has a few companies he sells the contracts to. Next NEVER let them talk monthly payments to you for a solar install. ONLY talk price. This is how they scam you into a large profit. My system was originally $64K quote. I ended up getting money thru my HELOC and paid cash to them. They hate this because they make no back end money. A lady in my same town is 87 years old and they put her in a ($212/mo 30year) $85K contract for less panels and no battery and mine finally out the door cost me under $22K all said and done. They should be ashamed of themselves for putting an 87 year old lady in a 30 year contract, talk about preying on someone who now cannot even sell her home because the payment on those panels is way too much for anyone to take over. I have much more I can write but this will do for now. Do yourself a favor and avoid OWE. This is what happens to a company that hires incompetent family and friends as upper management. He gave us options explain the process. outstanding customer service along with Incredible knowledge about his product and solar energy.A worker came out and inspected our house prior to installation then a crew was scheduled to do the install which is a two-day process. They were efficient answered more of our questions and extremely polite. Later on in the evening the foreman came by to check his crew's work. DO NOT GET SOLARS WITH THIS COMPANY!! I feel as though we were SCAMMED. I remember when the sales agents came to our house and we had spent over an hour going over everything, we told them how much we were paying APS for our power each month, how much power we were using, ect. We even showed them our power bills. They hooked us into a contract by promising us a rapid decline in our power bill. We were told that our bills would drop to near nothing or at minimum half the price in the summers. The only and sole purpose we decided to go through with this company was because we have been struggling with our bills and after everything we were told, we would essentially be paying less money monthly by getting solars. They had calculated our power usage and they told us that 22 panels would produce enough energy for our APS bill to drop drastically. We have had the solars for over a year now and our APS bill has stayed essentially the EXACT SAME. But now on top of that we have to pay hundreds every single month to pay off the $40,000 solars we were scammed into getting. I have been watching our solar production as well as speaking to APS about it and it is very clear that the panels are not producing properly or at least not anywhere near what we were told. I have tried calling the company MULTIPLE times, I had sent emails and even texts to our sales representative and have never heard a response back. Every single time I call and speak to someone at the company they just keep telling me "I can see that the panels are producing just fine" and REFUSE to send a technician over to check. Our power box switch is constantly shutting off and I've mentioned that to the call representative who told me she would put in a request for a technician to come and it has now been over a week and I haven't heard anything. I have reached out once again to follow up on the service request and they just keep telling me the same thing: that the panels are fine and there is no need for a technician to come out. I spoke with APS once again yesterday and the representative reviewed our account and said that there are multiple days within the month where the panels haven't generated a single thing and that it's clear that something is off and the solar company needs to send someone out. I feel so lost and unsure of whether or not I should be taking legal action against the company at this point. read more

Terrible company with terrible follow through. Our system has been active for 8 months and doesn't work correctly. It is not producing the energy we were promised and we still have an electric bill in addition to a loan payment every month. They said they "audited" our system and that we just need to use less electric. They claimed to have "audited" our system when all they did was look at our electric bills from APS. Another reputable solar company pointed out that we were supposed to have access to an online system that lets us see our solar energy production daily. OWE never told us and never added our system to the program so there was no way to know if the system was producing the electric promised. Once we FINALLY got them to add our system to the program, it was clear the system isn't producing the electric promised. OWE still hasn't acknowledged the problem. This was in addition to breaking a water bib during their install and not telling us. Instead they just shut the water off to our house and left. My husband had to fix the break. read more

He was able to answer my questions and took down my information but I told him I wanted to wait a year since we just moved into our new house. He respected that and did not bother us for an entire year! When he came back the following year he remembered our conversation and was very personable. Before signing I got 3 online quotes from different companies and did my research. Everything he explained was exactly what I was able to find on my own. I can't tell you how pleased I am with my solar installation. There were hitches but then this is Kingman and what else would you expect. I paid nothing for the 18 days I first had my solar panels working and got a $92.49 credit from my electric company. Best thing I ever did. If the grid goes down I still have power. I mean seriously when the temps are above 100 degrees and I am still paying nothing for AC and getting money back. Love OWE for what they did for me. I had my solar installed and during the initial meeting I was told that I would have a battery that would store energy that has been captured from the panels. I was told that I would save money and eventually I wouldn't have any bill from APS to give it a year to really see the difference. Well as of my last bill has saved me $6 dollars. I was told my panels are working great. How can they be working great if I'm not saving any money? I now have a bill with aps and the loan on the equipment. During the initial meeting I told them that a pool would be installed that has a heater/cooler and I planned to use it year-round. I don't want to have to worry about my air-conditioning that I keep it at 70 degrees. My home is a little over 2500 square feet. My last bill was over 1000 dollars from APS. I have called 7 times into the service number to try and get a hold of the salesperson because apparently a backup battery to store energy was never included in my system. I've had zero return calls and the last guy I talked with told me he was going to escalate to a manager that was 3 days ago. I've also called and emailed the salesperson Randy with zero response. I only went with this company because my HOA representatives came to my house after I moved in and recommended them. I have filed a complaint with my HOA and let my neighbors know that have recently moved in what a scam this company is to save them the hassle this company has been. I would never want to pay for equipment that's not actually saving me any money. I just want the system I have to save me money and to do what I was promised it would do. DO NOT!!!!!get solar from this company I was told I would be saving money with solar panels and that I would only be paying the meter fee and taxes associated with the TEP meter not only have I had almost a full electric bill every month but have had to pay the solar panels on top of my electric bill this was a specific problem that I wanted to avoid when we spoke too the sales person that I did NOT want 2 bills for electricity I was assured that I would only be paying the meter fee and taxes for my electric bill and the set price for solar panels. my price for the panels increased after a year every time I call to get a copy of my paperwork to file the taxes to have the price reduced I don't get the copy of my paperwork every time that I have called to get this issue resolved I get told this is not there problem and too take it with the electric company and when you call the electric company they blame the solar panel installer I WISH I HAD NEVER GOTTEN SOLAR PANELS it is a scam they also put a lien on your property so you have to pay the loan even when the product isn't working and our world energy won't fix it I wish I could have my panels removed and the loan cancelled I regret getting solar panels from this company. read more

After having my solar system for over 8 months now and seeing how it performs and adjusting my electrical plan to best suit having solar. I couldn't be more unsatisfied. I bought a system that cost me over $300 a month that we suppose to make sure I was told by Steven the salesman it would make sure I won't have an electricity bill, or very little, in the summer time. I explained to the salesman that this would make any sense for me to have solar if I would end up paying more than an average of $400 a month. I know have a huge investment that cost me over$300 a month and I still have electricity bills close to $300 a month. On average I know pay twice as much for my electrical bills including the solar loan. I also decided to buy the solar system so I could get the 16k TAX CREDIT. The salesman also failed to mention the difference between buying and leasing the equipment. When you buy the solar you are subject to an incentive payment, which is due 15 months after the loan is made. The payment is 16k. The salesman didnt mention this incentive payment. I now have a solar system that cost me double on my electrical every month and now I need to pay 16k to the loan company next year or my payment will double, Which would effectively cost me 600-800 dollars a month with a 2000 square foot house. This is by far the worst investment I've ever made and I honestly feel screwed over. I trusted that the salesman steven had my best interest in mind but clearly all he cared about was the commission. I honestly couldn't be less happy. I understand why so many people say solar is a scam. Don't do this, it's not worth it. Every time I see our world energy trucks on the road I'm remembered how screwed I feel with this investment and wish I would have never done it. And all the salesman steven has to say is excuses and how I don't understand tax credits and that there is stuff involved with the system that I don't understand. It's a joke. I went down to the our world energy office to try to explain how I wasn't told about the incentive payment and they pretty much told me I signed and there is nothing they can do for me and that it's out of there controll now because the loan company has nothing to do with them. I've worked my butt off my whole life and came from nothing and now I'm saving all my penny's to pay a 16k incentive payment next year on a 50k+ plus investment that has done nothing but cost me more money. I wish they could come take it all off my house and get me out of this stupid loan that has completely screwed my finances for 2 years and now cost me more money every month.
