I'm actually pretty consistent dining here especially for their Steak & Lobster Tuesday special. It's a very good deal! I usually get the 6oz. steak, Lobster, loaded baked potato and a side of onion petals. I have to admit, depending upon the cook, it's a "hit or miss" sometimes with the steak but more often with the lobster. Sometimes the lobster is undercooked, sometimes it's overcooked. The steak is usually fine although my last visit the steak was good in the middle but hard on the outside which was different? My server said that it was probably pressed down while being cooked and ended up being very hard. But she was gracious enough to have it remade for me. They also have very good cocktails. The ambiance's relaxing and casual. Sometimes a little cold. So I recommend taking a sweater or light jacket. And the servers are generally helpful and very nice. read more

Oh my goodness. I hate to give this terrible review but holy mackerel. The service at this place was absolutely incredibly bad. It must've taken over an hour and a half to get our food. I do not know what was going on at this place if their kitchen had problems with ovens or stoves being broken but that is all I could possibly think of. It Was that bad for me to even think that like I felt like I needed to think of an excuse for them because it was so bad that I've never been in a restaurant before that the weight was this long. Other than that I mean, the food is usually consistent. Sometimes the steak is definitely overcooked so I try to usually order it more rare than usual because it usually comes out more cooked than I want, but I mean it is outback so it is what it is. read more

So sad... came in for dinner the other night. Sat at the bar because I saw the dining room was short staffed. Bar service was off too. There was only one guy behind the bar and he was busy. Took forever to get menus and longer to order. There were 3 of us. We were never offered bread. The food runner mixed up all of our salads. I ordered mine without onion, all 3 had onions and my son loved my Blue Cheese vinaigrette, and I really didn't like his Italian but since we started eating, we were stuck. There was an error with the steaks too. I ordered a 6 oz and my husband and son ordered 8 oz. Clearly, they brought out two 6 oz and 1 8oz. Even the food runner said it was small.... But he let us know when he served it that he asked his manager and the manager said he weighed it. I doubt it... but we weren't going to complain. Everyone around us was complaining about something. If it wasn't the food, it was about the service. Nothing was going right. I've been here a few times and never had an issue. Not sure what's going on but honestly, it needs to change. First time to this Outback in Deerfield Beach. I usually go to the one closer to my house in Coral Springs but wanted to try a different Outback this time for dinner. Overall, the food and atmosphere was a great experience. I like that this Outback restaurant is a freestanding and a newer designed Outback Steakhouse. The ambience is much newer and modern looking with the skyline artwork on display across the ceiling. There was a nice crowd of people eating and waiting. The staff greeted me with a friendly smile and was very accommodating. I only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated at a high top that I requested. The management does a nice job. My server was quick and did a nice job. The Chardonnay wine was an exceptional quality. The five dollar 20 ounce Big Bloke beer was a good value. The drinks are priced reasonably. I ordered my go-to which is the Chicken on the Barbie with two sides. Also, I had a cup of the famous walkabout potato soup that was on point. My two sides were mashed potatoes and broccoli. Overall the experience was ok. Service took a while but was a kind server. Food was good. Tried the mozzarella boomerangs and they were very good. Steak and salmon were both good. Disappointed in the Caesar salad. It was mostly the white parts of the lettuce, barely any greens. The dressing was delicious. I stopped in for lunch today and went with the lunch portion of alice springs chicken, it was cooked perfectly and came with a soup or salad, perfect for a quick lunch. I sat at the bar and despite being given a stocky menu the service was pretty good. This was my first time at this location and I thought it was clean and well decorated. We went for dinner and although I have had lunch at the Outback before at night the atmosphere seemed just right and almost elegant. Service was friendly but slow. Our salads were huge and covered with cheese, it would have been better to have shared this. The food itself was highly disappointing. The bread though warm tasted stale. The rib eye steak was so over seasoned and salty I wanted to take it to the restroom to wash it off. The coconut shrimp was so heavily battered that the batter was falling off of it. Was close by them on Saturday and decided to go around 9:00pm. The restrooms needed some much attention god no toilet paper in some Of them and they were dirty. The service was super slow, waitress took for ever to bring us drinks, napkins Etc Then they ran out of the coconut shrimp and at the end we ordered the dessert that came in these weird shaped plate didn't look like the picture they had on menu and since the dish was clear glass you could see that it was not washes properly had to send the dessert back and they brought it in another dish. This was a nice experience. I met a friend for dinner. We decided to go to Outback because it was a restaurant we could agree on. I ordered a Rum Punch to start and it was very tasty. It was a great drink to start with. My house salad was ok. The lettuce could have been fresher but it was ok. We each ordered filet mignon with a lobster tail. The lobster tail was better here than at an Outback near my house. The filet mignon was very good. It was cooked to medium exactly, which is what I requested. Our server could have come around more. With the ridiculous prices for a steak now, Outback is a place where you can get a steak and a lobster tail for a reasonable amount. Is there a difference in the quality of the steak? Absolutely! Other steakhouses are better. But they are much more expensive. This is an OK restaurant to eat at if you are watching what you are spending. Be aware, this particular location can be very cold. My family and I stopped into Outback for dinner today. I noticed the restaurant was clean and there appeared to be some new decor which was nice. We had no wait and were seated immediately which was awesome. Our server (sadly I did not catch his name) took our drink order and explained their new updated menu to us, and their new Aussie 3 Course Meal menu. Shortly after he brought our drinks out and some fresh bread. I noticed they had switched to cinnamon butter since my last visit. It was delicious. We all decided to order from the Aussie 3 Course meal menu. Which allows you to pick a soup or salad to start, an entree, and a desert. Mine was $20 which I thought was a very fair price for a 8oz sirloin with a starter and dessert. We placed our food order, and that's where I ran into a few hiccups. It took us a very long time for our food to get out. I do not blame our waiter he was very helpful and attentive to us. But there seemed to be some issues with the kitchen department getting food out in an orderly fashion. We also heard the table next to us having a similar problem. We received our food first even though we were seated after and had a similar sized party. Once our food did arrive everything was absolutely delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked to my preference and was well seasoned. My mashed potatoes were good as well, but I was a little disappointed that no butter was included with them. After our meal the waiter said he would get our dessert brought out to us. Again we had a similar issue with our dessert like we did with our entrees. After waiting for a little while our waiter came by to ask if our dessert had been brought out yet. We told him no, he was very apologetic but did not seem very amused with his fellow coworkers that were supposed to bring our desserts to us. They also wound up forgetting my son's ice cream, but our waiter made sure to bring that out to us personally. I've been to this location before and have never had an issue like this, I understand things happen and I'm more than willing to come back again. Alice Springs is a 5oz grilled chicken breast topped with sautéed mushrooms, crispy bacon, and melted cheese. It's served with a side of honey mustard, which is delicious. I asked for some extra sauce and they didn't upcharge, which was very nice of them. My side was their homestyle mashed potatoes, which were so good. My girlfriend had a steak lunch special, and she enjoyed her meal too. I haven't been to an Outback in a while, and this was my first time at this location. Met a girlfriend for lunch here and had a good experience. The food is about a 3 1/2 but we had excellent service so I'm rounding up to a 4-star. They had a number of lunch specials, and we were each able to find something to order from this list. I got their steak, and she ordered the Alice Springs chicken. The selections are priced well, albeit a bit smaller portion than their regular items. My sirloin steak was tasty. It's not the tenderest cut but it was cooked as ordered and flavorful. I had a salad as my one side. She enjoyed her chicken dish -- adding extra honey mustard sauce -- along with a side of (real) mashed potatoes. Of course, we were busy catching up on each other's lives and that added to our enjoyment of the meet up. They didn't rush us so we were able to linger. And the server checked on us regularly. We've always been a fan just for quick and easy great service and food. Consistent is what they were known for Not anymore It took 15 mins for anyone to come to the table to take a drink order or at least bring water the waiter apologize saying they didn't know who's table it was? He said he could have an appetizer on him which we felt was very kind 45 minutes later our food still have not come out we asked for a manager who brought it out and it was cold! We started to eat it because I send it back. We'd never get it. The waiter never came back until we were eating. He brought the manager over. I wrote a review on Google a couple weeks ago, which seems to have been deleted. I guess I'm going to write it here. We came here for a small birthday dinner for our family member and it was probably the worst experience of our entire lives. We were there for almost 3 hours. It took 20 to 30 minutes for a server to greet us. They took our drink and food order and never came back. We saw him serving other tables, but he literally could not even come back over to us never brought our drinks. I had to go get a manager who seemed to have been on drugs. It seemed like the entire staff was in recovery. It wasn't even busy. It was insane. After notifying the manager, it still took him 10-15 minutes to bring soft drinks and waters to the table. We're not rude people by any means, I was very nice about the frustrating situation but it got to a point where it was ridiculous. There was one girl who seemed be the only one with a brain, but she can't run a restaurant by herself, not sure if she was a manager or a server, they comped our entire meal, we still tipped but that didn't make the experience any better. They really just need to do a complete rehire of that entire store and at least not have managers high read more

Reviews seem to vary and my experiences have also varied so I give them an overall 3. The workers all seem very friendly and attentive but the actual service varies. One time, they did not give us any utensils. We had to ask for them AFTER our food came. Also abnormally long wait time for the food to come out - does it really take over 15 minutes to get a soup and salad? The soup was cold too: had to send it back. Bread was always warm and fresh, even when we got another. The entrees were also well cooked overall. They had a tomahawk special last time we went and the meat was well seasoned and tender. It was really busy at outback steakhouse last night. We got the one that you could have your super salad aside and a steak or chicken or something else. We chose to have the 6 ounce sirloin. It was so tough that I asked the waiter if he had a sharper knife. He said no that was the only knife he had you could barely chew it. My sister and my friends sirloins were the same way. That's the first time I talk to my sister and having a sirloin steak and of course she will never order that again as it was so tough.
