I have not eaten at an Outback in many years. I was looking forward to a night out with my dad. We waited 40 minutes to be seated, not because it was busy, but because the amount of tables available were limited due to "social distance" tables...give me a break. We got a drink at the bar to wait outside with. Both weak and over iced. Terrible. We were finally seated and ordered 2 different drinks which were slightly better. We ordered the bloomin onion and wings and the steak sandwich. The onion looked great, but much smaller than it used to be. Also, EXTREMELY OVER SALTED. That was the theme for the remainder of our night. The food was inedible. The same salty breading was used on the wings..and thats with the sauce on the side! I couldn't get past 2. Plus all the hot sauces taste identical. I sampled all 3. The celery was the best part of my meal. My fathers sandwich was awful. Over salted as well and chewy overcooked steak. Skimpy portion too. You are a STEAKHOUSE! Au jus is WILDLY unnecessary. Every thing just tasted the same. All salt. The fries were practically soaked in salt. Servers were great, this is not their fault. We tipped well but if management reads this, if you just cut waaay back on the salt, made decent drinks and hired steak chefs you'd be in business. I hope Ramsay never eats here, you'd be done for. Just had the worst experience from a waitress named Jacquelyn D. The service was terrible. I've never been treated that poorly before . Waited for our food at lunch in an empty restaurant for more than 20 plus minutes . She did not come over once to say sorry for the delay or it would be right out . We just sat waiting and waiting and then the food came out she slammed it on our table and left . Then she came back to take our plates and literally just said "dessert?". When I said no she came back out the check on the table and left . Then came took my credit card and came back again saying nothing. I've never had such bad service there before . Attempted curbside. Picked 4 pm as pickup. Got there at 355. No one came to the car until 4:10. Then left until 4:20. I LEFT. Waited over a week for my refund and had to call to make sure it was done. It wasn't. And not ONE apology. Shame on you Outback. The pick up service was fantastic. But when I got home with our order, two of the steaks were wrongly cooked and with a $64.00 order, we get one small loaf of bread. That is being really cheap. My husband and I have been a long time Outback customers. This particular location opened a few months ago after the one in Boca Raton (18th St.) was closed last year. On Wednesday, Feb. 3rd, 2021 went to dinner, asked for 1 onion soup and 1 baked potato soup, an Out-baker burger and a steak with shrimp for my husband. Drinks and bread were served along with a small Caeser salad, then after a 20 mins wait main entries were served and we are still waiting for the soups. Went for opening night, and was expecting chaos. Was pleasantly surprised with how my experience went. Food was delicious and service was great! Manager presence was heavy in the dining room, not something you see everyday, which was nice. They season their steaks with a lot of seasoning (which I like) so just be aware of that. 3 Strikes and your Out! This is a new location that opened in the Covid World so we tried to be patient. However, each experience has been a let down and left in disgust. Service - The waitresses are actually what keeps this from being a 1 Star Rating. They are prompt and informative. When you need something additional is does take longer but they have been working hard during Covid. Food - Steaks are abysmal! Dry and always undercooked. Need to order a few temperatures higher to hope for the temperature you actually want. If you send it back then it seems to just touch the grill slightly and come back the same temperature. Always went to Outback in Boca for over 20years and never disappointed. 2nd time to the new corporate location in Deerfield and dismayed again, especialy with the creamed spinach which is an upcharge of $2.00. It was enough for a baby and has me so totally turned off on Outback that I might even throw away a gift card with almost $50.00 on it. The reason for 2 stars is for the curbside pickup and not the food. It is extremely unorganized. I pulled up at 6 for my food I ordered at 530, I requested a 6pm pick up. I pulled right in front due to the 6 reserved spots were taken already. A group of people were gathered around waiting on orders. Most looked to be ignored unless the person asked and in most case they were told it wasn't ready. Not sure how they knew it wasn't ready they never checked. One customer was waiting 55 min past her promised time was told it was ready and they were sorry. The issue was there were at least a dozen bags just sitting there., that all the customers should see through the door. If the server checked they would have seen the bag sitting there. In the actual view of the customer whom had been waiting by the door. She wasn't happy at all. My food was 45 past the time I should have gotten it. I was told the same thing, I actually left and came back due to the fact I had other food for my family. I was also told it wasn't ready, my order was a full rack of ribs that's it. Mine was also sitting on the same table for who know how long. I think during dinner rush you need to have someone out by the pickup/curbside to ask the customers names and find out where their food is. Pretty simple. One customer waited over 1:20 to later find out they never got his order after being told it wasn't ready.
