Slow kitchen tonight. Other people had lots of problems with food but ours was good once we got it. Blackberry sangria rocks

Worst outback experience ever I have eaten here before but after today, never again. they were understaffed to begin with, even though our waiter was very kind he couldn't keep up with all the tables he was put over. I ordered coffee and water, and never got the coffee. it took 25 minutes to get one refill on water. after about 30 minutes we got our food, I got the lobster tail and outback special. the tail was over boiled and very hard and tough to cut through. my medium rare steak was hard as a rock...literally I picked it up and dropped it and it made a clinking sounds and didn't move at all. what topped it all off was someone whose title was "the key" stopped by and asked about how it was going. her name was Andrea. I responded this was my worst experience and she proceeded to tell me she didn't know what happened and today was like a twilight zone day and this has happened multiple times today. I couldn't even respond to that. she then informed me again she didn't know what happened and that the next time we come to let her know and she would help us out...well I'm never going back. not to mention this was our 3rd year anniversary, I never told them because everyone should be treated well no matter why you are there it shouldn't make a difference. I never got mad even though I wanted to it was just so much more disappointing...for those that read this stay away. read more

Was there for a late lunch yesterday. Excellent service by Rebecca. Food was very flavorful and served hot. Very pleased with all of it.

Great food! Horrible service. We had to ask for things 3 and 4 times before we could ever get it.

We sat in the bar and JOSH was our server/bartender. The "wallabedarn" beverage was fabulous!! Our steaks were cooked to perfection! Ginger was one of the managers. We were treated like guests in their homes. The food was great and the service fantastic!! We will be back soon!! read more

Went for my husband's birthday tonight. Received a nice welcome from young man who opened the door and a very flat, non interested inquiry into the number in our party by the manager. After being seated for almost 10 minutes while watching 4 different wait persons come into and around our dining area twice, we got up and left having never been greeted. The manager was standing by the door as We walked past and told her why we were leaving. She only wanted to know where SHE had sat us! Went to Salt grass in cedar hill! Great! read more

Our waitress made sure we got our drinks and was very nice :) food was excellent! Loved it

Our visit tonight is the reason we don't ever come! Our order was taken in a timely manner but it took forever to get the food. One meal only had the shrimp, no sides with it. The waitress didn't even notice. We needed an extra plate and ketchup for French fries. But we waited the entire meal! We never got the plate. The manager came by and gave us water refills, sides to our entree and ketchup for fries. We will go somewhere else! Rough night and not worth the prices! read more

Pleasantly Surprised! It's been a year since we have been to this Outback. Hasn't been a frequent stop for us because of poor service and inconsistent food quality. I must say we were pleasantly surprised on this trip. Greeted at the door by friendly hostesses, tended to by excellent wait staff, and enjoyed excellent food! My family frequents this location. The renovation plus the change in management have been great. We are always greeted with a smile even when they are extremely busy. So glad to have a quality restaurant with good service in the neighborhood. read more

Descent food and atmosphere. Contamtly bothered by waitress and manger wanting to talk to us while we ate.

Like their cheesefries, but disappointed with their steaks and baked potatoes everytime I have been here. Service could also be much better.

They are a good restaurant but they could work on be timely they have good servers but the one thing i like about the place is the host they are the first faces you see when you are there and I enjoy that they have this one host um.. she was there last week and I really enjoy her she had a smile on her face when we walked in and would talk to us i like that. She is amazing I hope to see her again the manager Anthony Paul jones is a good manager he is always joyful and full of energy i like that he checked on me and brought me extra everything. Great work but the servers was a little slow she kept on forget the little things and never got me any bread and never brought my Appetizers out. My co-worker and I craved steak and lobster today. We drove in the rain get there and sat in the bar area she inquired about a cocktail the guy says I'm only 18 and not your server but he took our order . Out comes our server but says he didn't understand the other guy so she ask him about the cocktail he was 18. It took the drink order and food order. Out comes her salad with cheese which she said no cheese send it back and bring more bread and silverware please. I try to eat my dry salad but can't. 10 min Pass no bread , no salad , no waiter . I call for manager , by now I don't want salad any longer he takes it doesn't offer another side option just takes salad says food will be right out. Here comes food by manager he says you'll have a new waiter . And offers free desert I decline and explain that the problem wasn't the server but the service I say there're all young with no direction. Victoria now comes and says I'll be your waiter and the bartender. At the end they say we took 20% off your bill we call for our original waiter tip him $10 and say it's not your fault. I'm insulted by 20% because didn't have a full meal! read more

This is a horrible place to eat at. Had to wait an hour to be seated. Were passed by many times for a seat for 2. The service was horrible. The manager Matt finally came to our table and wasn't very helpful at all. Didn't take our drink order or appetizers at all. Said someone would be with us shortly. Still waited another 15 min for someone to come to our table. We finally got up to leave. Worst experience ever. And it was my birthday. Will never go there again. read more

Where is the half star choice? This place sucks with a capitol S! I went there for a place that was celebrating his 40th birthday. Don't know why this place, but anyways, there was a party of about 20 people and they wanted to seat us in separate tables. Where is the logic in that? Well, me finding this unacceptable asked for a long table with a bench and chairs that were across from us. We told them we would wait till it was cleaned. Which was a problem because they were moving like they all came back from surgery. So I told them if you like I'll clear it myself if a rag was provided. So, finally the decided to move us to 2 long tables in the back. And I'm wondering why didn't the do this from the beginning? So for the "inconvenience" the brought out 2 blooming onions on the house. Ok so, it took for ever to get our orders. I asked for a Tito's cucumber lemonade. It didn't even taste like lemonade. It was pure water with a slight tinge of yellow. Next, people got salads, no salad dressings. Wings so salty, I left 1/2 my order which I was eating with the so called lemonade and water cause I couldn't take the saltiness. The lady next to me ordered chicken fried chicken, took 2 bites, and said she couldn't take the amount of salt. Her husband asked for a to go package. His chicken fried steak was over cooked. I made the mistake of ordering one to go, my husband said grandy's would have been 10x better. The service and food are horrible! This place is a joke! I would never, ever patronize this place. I rather go to the frozen section and heat up something in the microwave. read more

Went to Outback for my grown son's birthday, 30 min wait time, they were not that busy. But it took 30 mins to clean the table we were finally seated at. Service was slow, med cooked steak was more rare than med. The server said "this is how our med steaks are cooked". The kids had cheeseburgers, no ketchup or mustard offered. We asked for ketchup, burgers were half eaten before the ketchup arrived. In fact the only thing that arrived on time was the check. If this is the kind of service I can expect, I'll dine elsewhere read more

This restaurant is by far the best for delivery service. The service was excellent. The food was delicious and warm. I wish they brought Towoomba Pasta back, but while expensive as all get-out, their Blue cheese-crusted filet mignon with some fries and a blue cheese wedge salad is a great thing. I also love(d?) their Fried Tilapia with that sauce, and their cheese fries are delicious with ranch, although having worked here, I will say that there was a poster up in the kitchen with the phrase "we're number !" on it. It was a clip from a magazine or something that voted OB cheese fries the worst food for your health in whatever year. You can order menu items to be healthier, but obviously doing that with cheese fries may defeat the point. haha read more

First and last time going to Outback Steakhouse Desoto TX. When I was seated the servers we're arguing who is going to wait on me, finally I was asked do I want something to drink after seating for sometime sweet tea, wasn't sweet told waiter took him 10 minutes to bring another tea. Worst Outback experience ever!!!! Server seemed mostly aloof and uncaring. Then proceeded to trip and dump a tray of dishes on me. Shirt pretty much ruined, but whatever, accidents happen, right? However, what really got me steamed enough to write this review was the fact that I had to get my own napkins to try and clean off. I mean this was not a small spill! They cleaned up the floor but offered me nothing! And even worse no apology, I mean none, zero, nothing. In a normal place a manager would have probably come over or something. It was a huge applause drawing crash of dishes. So the manager must gave noticed. Anyway, just avoid this place until they get up to speed with the normal Outback level of service. I love Outback but I should have read the reviews on this location before going. Service was terrible which evidently is not the first time here. I sat at the bar, had a beer and placed my order. Had to ask for bread ( more on that later) and then comes my steak, to which my comment was "where is my salad?" You guessed it as first I got my steak followed by the salad and eventually the bread. We have dined at this Outback many times, but after today we probably will never go back. The food was just OK, but the service was horrible. It took 45 min to get a dinner salad. Never could get our water or tea refilled. There were only 6 tables of people in the entire place when we got there. It took an hour to get our steak and moonshine chopped salad. My wife ask for A-1 steak sauce and she was almost finished with her steak before she finally got it and we had to ask again for it. Terrible service. I do not recommend this Outback.
