Not sure why they asked how we wanted the burgers, because they all came out well done when 2 were supposed to be medium and one medium well. The chicken was overdone and couldn't have weighed more than 4oz. Three had water and one had a soft drink. $85.50 is absurd for the garbage and service we received. This is a new location and it's an upgrade from the previous location in Herndon with more space, higher ceilings, more spacious bar area offering both booth and high table seatings. Same great, friendly service with quality food, a wide variety of menu offerings at a reasonable price point. Service: I'm big on the service and this place does not disappoint. There is a line for tables on weekends but on weeknight I am able to be seated pretty quickly and the bar area is always a good option. Hostess are prompt to you, always opening doors for you going in and out of the restaurant. Servers are prompt and great at tending to your needs with great timing. We were very hungry and by the time we finished ordering our food, the drinks and bread are already on the table. Food: The wings is my go-to and always delicious with it's special seasoning. Steaks are made to your desired texture. This time I had the steak and shrimp on the Barbie which was grilled and on a toasted bread. There is a full bar and I typically go for the Australian wines. The bartender was super nice, attentive, professional and efficient. I took advantage of the all day HH. The "Boozy Cherry Limade", only $7 of I'm not mistaken. Starting with the good, the staff is great. Our hostess and waitress were perfect and the new building is a lot better than their previous location. But the #1 reason I go out to a restaurant is the food. The steak I received just killed any chance I'll ever go back. When I order their premium steak, let's say the Bone-In Ribeye, there should be a bone there and it shouldn't be a half inch thick. There was no bone in my bone in steak and it was so thin, about half inch but not over. I've ordered the Bone-In Ribeye from this Outback before and it was closer to an inch thick and had a decent sized bone. This makes me wonder whats going on at this Outback. Are they cost cutting and shorting people's steaks? Who knows. The manager did discount the steak down and I tipped the waitress based on the non-discounted check. I wish they would fix the back of the house, clearly the cooks or whoever is cutting these steaks just don't care about their customers. What I received shouldn't have been given to a customer. Next time I want an "affordable" steak, I'll be going to Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn. read more

I ordered dinner via DoorDash for my family this weekend. We ordered wings, two salads, salmon, brussel sprouts and a blooming onion. In short the food was disgusting. We use to order from this location regularly in the past and it's been ok, but the last few times the food has been terrible. The bloomin onion and fries tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil, the salads were soggy with some mushy lettuce in them and the salmon was way over cooked. The wings were $20 for 8 wings and way over cooked as well. We spent over $125 for a ridiculous disgusting meal experience. Outback used to be a solid go-to place, but has gone the way of a lot of other restaurants with overpriced, lower quality food. Sad to say this was probably our last time with Outback. This place is definitely not worth the price for the quality of food you receive by a long shot! read more

What in the world is going on at Outback? They build a beautiful new restaurant in Herndon and we frequent through online ordering and usually very thing is great. A few days ago I ordered a center cut sirloin steak medium and I can honestly say was the worst steak I have ever had in my life. OK, let me correct this, because I didn't actually have it, because when I tried to take a bite it was fighting back. I tried cutting a piece from several parts of the steak and it was the same results. I threw it out it was so bad. It was a delivered order and I'm in a wheelchair, so I couldn't take it back. NEVER again will I order from them. Texas Roadhouse has never disappointed like this. $20 is too much for me to waste. I stopped by this new location. It's been open for approximately six weeks I ordered from Uber and now I wanted to visit this new location in person. It is by far the nicest Outback in our area. The bar seating is wide and expensive. Plenty of room and many high top seating options. The dining room is very open air with spacious tables the architecture, the lighting fixtures and the waiting area. are very well designed. The outdoor seating area is very impressive. It's too bad that winter is coming soon. Parking lot is decent, although very narrow at the entrance and the to go area is very small. No seating in that part of the restaurant. read more

Outback Steakhouse in Herndon VA was amazing, the food was outstanding. The Bloomin Burger tasted delicious, better than a regular burger. All the associates were super nice and attentive to me. They made sure my drink of unsweetened ice tea was refilled when I was running low. A very nice server named Sarah saw my glass was empty and she took the time to refill it for me, that was super nice of her to do that. The bartenders were also super nice and always checked in on me to make sure I was doing good. Now that's super hospitality right there. The new building looks fantastic, yes Outback Herndon now has its own building and it's awesome, the interior is amazing with dark wooden walls, low lighting for ambiance which is actually a good thing it doesn't make the restaurant to bright. Overall this dining experience was fantastic, Outback Herndon gets 8/5 stars even though the max is 5, all the associates who attended to me gets 6/5 stars. It seems a little strange to review an Outback, but I have placed 3 pick up orders here over the last month and overall have had good experiences. There is a bit of a disconnect about the orders being brought to your car, versus needing to go inside and pick them up. I've always just gone inside to pick them up. Do not order delivery from the Herndon Outback. Even if they do not deliver your food, they charge your credit card. Our food was not delivered one evening and I called. The Manager told me the driver had a car issue and they could not deliver. They did not call us, they waited until we called them. He assured me we would not be charged. Our visa bill arrived with the charge including the tip on our card. We disputed the charge through Visa and Outback said there are conditions associated with delivery order that we "accepted"...although we called in the order and no one read us any conditions during the order process. So Outback takes no responsibility for providng the service or food we paid for, ordering from Outback is at your risk. Came here for dinner 9/29 and it was not a great experience. Our waitress (Alex B) kept hovering over the table and we felt rushed as she wanted us to order when we set down. Drink order placed and received... she said ready to order now.... We were not and she basically stood by the table. We ordered unwillingly just to get her to leave. The steak we both ordered was great but a microwave sweet potato does not work well and tasted horrible. My wife came into the restaurant mid October around 6:47pm. Ordered wings, steak , and other things. She walked out. Drove home . Checked the order it was wrong. They gave me some ones bloody burger , bread and bloomin onion. Me and my wife were going out of town for a funeral. Could not come back. I called and reported this to someone. A lady with an accent answered and said "Can't do anything. Not manager . Call next week when you come back. I was very polite and even left the person originally a $20 cash tip. I got a call from Douglas Canby, he apologies and said he would fix it and send me something in the mail. A few weeks ago I get an apology letter in the mail without a gift card. Well that wasn't the case. I got a letter and it didn't have a gift card in it. Then I called to speak with him he laughed in the phone as if he was turning me into some type of joke. While on vacation with Pete, we got dinner the first night at outback. It was walking distance from our hotel. It was a strange location for a restaurant. Saw an ad on tv for the 4 course meal for $15.99 so took the family on a snowy evening for an early dinner. We used to really enjoy Outback as it was typically very consistent but I think the center cut sirloin is priced where it's at for a reason. On the tough side and chewy although it was cooked nicely. On the positive side, the bread, the house salad with honey mustard and the loaded baked potato were all pretty good. I went with the french onion soup for a $1 upcharge and that was good also.
