Walked in on a Tuesday night with a couple friends and asked for a table of 5. The host said we couldn't be seated until everyone arrived, which was fine. A few minutes later our group became 7 because I didn't know two more people were joining, and when I updated the host, he got weirdly rude and scolded us for not saying that earlier. Mind you, the restaurant wasn't even busy. He then sat 7 of us at a booth clearly meant for 5, gave us one bread basket with 4 rolls, and we had to ask our very nice waiter for extra chairs just to fit everyone. She even brought more rolls later because she seemed confused by the whole situation too. It's a shame because the food was actually good. My 8oz Dallas Filet was juicy and cooked perfectly, and they loaded up the mushrooms and onions. The sides were hit or miss. The mac and cheese was bland and the cheese fries came out cold, but the Caesar salad was generous and the bread was great as always. I regularly go to the Texas Roadhouse in Winchester and I always leave thinking it's the best steak I've ever had. Welcome to Chantilly, home of the worst steak I've ever had. Also, the thinnest steak I've ever had. No color on the sear. Grill marks only on one side. Medium well on one side, raw on the other. Not cooked enough to render the fat. Oh and the fat...I know it's a ribeye but half of this steak was raw fat and disgusting. My wife's medium ny strip was actually beyond well done with no red to be found. It was a grey powdery mess. Pretty miraculous to overcook it that much considering hers also had no sear. The rolls, salad, and fried pickles were awesome, but I thought I went to a steakhouse, not a rollssaladpickleshouse. Had a decent experience here today picking up a meal for my office Christmas lunch. Unfortunately, I had several issues with the online ordering and I do find the ordering ahead of time process to be less than ideal. I wish Texas roadhouse would subscribe to more of a Wegmans like order ahead! I would have enjoyed ordering a day or two prior versus the day of and having to wait until the time of opening to submit an order, especially a large order! I called and spoke with somebody over the phone and the order was quickly submitted. I'm so relieved I didn't have to let down my team. We ordered a wide range of favorites from the cactus blossom fried onion to bone in ribeyes and filet, medallions and even chicken fried steak! Very aspect of our meal was prepared really well, I didn't hear one complaint about the food quality or preparation. Which is really the biggest point and compliment! Unfortunately, one item from our order was missing. I promptly called the restaurant and the manager was really helpful and quickly solved my issue. I had a side of broccoli, zero salt or pepper, but cooked properly. $26.xx was my bill. Oh, I had water to drink. Huge meal , very good. My only issue, please get the men's restroom cleaned up. Can you believe this is my first time trying Texas Roadhouse? I saw something online stating they won the best chain in the America so my curiosity sent me to Chantilly, VA. Immediately upon entering I'm hit with a free bag of peanuts. The waiting area is engulfed in peanut shells because you can just eat 'em and throw 'em on the floor. I'm nearing my turn; an employee approaches and asks me to choose my steak through a glass window. I thought this was funny... I chose a fat juicy rib-eye and they give me a ticket in exchange. As I walk to my table, I see workers yelling birthday chants and birthday guests riding a wooden horse - very unique for a chain and definitely 5 star for ambiance. Now for the food, I chose grilled onions on top of my steak, paired with a Caesar salad & mashed potatoes and brown gravy on the side. My 20 oz rib-eye arrives and to my surprise, they added mushrooms which I didn't ask for. My server did not seem to listen very well; maybe because it's too loud in there. Luckily I'm not allergic to mushrooms and I enjoyed it. My rib-eye came out medium-well when I ordered medium. Again, I didn't complain, I still enjoyed it. My steak had a nice pepper sauce after-taste and it went crazy with the brown gravy. Overall, atmosphere was phenomenal, service was polite, but made mistakes. I finally tried a ribeye for the first time and went all in with the 20oz I still can't believe I finished it all! It was cooked perfectly, so juicy and flavorful. I asked for mushrooms and sauce on top, and it was absolutely amazing. I had it with mashed potatoes on the side and a mocktail that was so refreshing and tasty. The service was also fantastic. We had had TR quite often back in Manila and is was good, but far from a premium steakhouse. Ambiance was loud and rowdy w birthdays going on at every other table, but this is what I recall Outback or chili's or Fridays used to be. A dine out event for middle class families where the kids could get their nuggets, dad could get his beer and mom could have a cocktail. Not so loud we couldn't hear each other, but loud enough to know how old the celebrants west the next table. Menu was large, but meat centric. They encourage you to pick your own cut at the front. And the peanuts were free while you waited. Unapologetically carnivore, unabashedly allergen exclusive. Don't like meat? Don't eat here. CAnt have peanuts? Don't come here. Leave more excellent food for us normal eating folk. Don't even start w gluten free bec even the bread rolls are baked fresh and rolled out in front. Hub had his filet and I had the prime rib. Horrible experience. My partner and I both work in hospitality and usually have a high level of patience, but this was easily one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. We arrived Sunday 12/7 around 8 PM to a group of employees crowding the entrance, laughing, and repeatedly saying "not my job" when it came to seating us. After an uncomfortable wait, someone finally brought us to a table. We were given cold rolls right away -- not the Roadhouse standard at all. Our server, Anita, seemed checked out from the start. My girlfriend specifically asked for her chili to come out before her steak. After a 26-minute wait with no check-ins and empty glasses, only half our food arrived. Her steak came out without the chili, which didn't show up until 7-8 minutes later. My steak was undercooked, and my rice was missing completely. It took another 10 minutes to get our server's attention so I could request a recook and ask again for the rice. The remade steak came out correctly, but by then my sides were cold and had to be replaced. Throughout all of this, our tiny two-top was stacked with empty dishes and glasses that were never cleared. To top it off, we later saw our server sitting in a nearby booth on FaceTime instead of checking on guests. The manager didn't seem interested in helping either, so we just paid at the kiosk and got out of there. So service wasn't too bad, except for the hostess, how can you miss the one job you had; greet customers and make them feel welcomed?! I do like eating meat and Texas Roadhouse has been one of my faves for a long time. My family also enjoys eating here and love eating the fresh bread. I usually order the bone in Ribeye or fort worth ribeye medium rare. My wife likes the filet mignon. Their prime rib is good too. They have a good kids menu too. Good portions on the sides. You can always ask for more bread and they will pack it up for you to take home after your meal if you want. The staff are always kind and welcoming so shoutout to them. If its your birthday, they will sing to you and put you on the cowboy seat! Sometimes they will do a line dance with some country music. Free peanuts as you wait to get seated, don't forget to call ahead for a place in line so you don't have to wait long. Warm, cloud like bites with the cinnamon butter is all you really need to be happy. I had to stop myself after two once I heard how many calories were in them. The apps were just ok, nothing memorable, but I did enjoy the Rattlesnake Bites which were like jalapeno poppers. The steak was honestly very good for a chain restaurant. The rolls are a must have to start your meal. You might find yourself eating a whole basket yourself lol as mentioned, the steaks are freshly prepared and cooked to your preference. Meal was tasty as ever and no wait on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. I've never had a bad meal at a TXR location and the streak continues. The sirloin was tasty and tender, the loaded baked potao was awesome as always and the green beans were hot and fresh tasting. The rolls were amazing as always and the tea was right on. There was so much food I got a box and ate the rest for dinner that evening. Apparently peanuts are on request so be sure and ask for some if you want some. I was excited to give Texas Roadhouse in Chantilly, Virginia another try after a disappointing experience back in May. I ordered a NY strip with a baked potato and a side of chili, and my wife ordered the grilled salmon with seasoned rice and applesauce. The order was scheduled for pickup at 6:43 PM EST on 7/19/2025. I arrived at the restaurant around 6:42 PM and sent a text to let them know I had arrived. They responded with another text stating that the food wasn't ready yet and asked me to wait until I received a message instructing me to come inside. That text arrived at 6:48 PM. I went to the pickup counter and waited an additional five minutes before asking an employee if anyone was managing the station, as no staff was present. A gentleman eventually came over, assisted the customer ahead of me, and then handed me my order. The bag was tied at the top, so I assumed everything had been checked and confirmed. That was my mistake--I should have verified the contents, especially since we were previously given a free appetizer due to a missing item on our last visit. When I got home and opened the bag, I discovered that the applesauce was missing. At least we did receive the free appetizer from the prior experience. I had even left a tip for the takeout order, which I usually do when the service is good--not when it's lacking. This will likely be my last visit to the Texas Roadhouse in Chantilly, VA until they are properly staffed, well-trained, and have a management team that ensures takeout customers are taken care of. I want to emphasize that this review only applies to the Chantilly location, as my experiences at other Texas Roadhouse locations across the country have consistently been excellent, with outstanding customer service. This is my favorite Texas Roadhouse in the DMV. Hands down, I can not recommend it enough. We were sat promptly around 9 PM and were given baskets of their famous Texas Roadhouse Rolls that is so addicting. I may have finished a basket by myself because I love them so much. We started off with the Cactus Blossom with Cajun Sauce in the middle. This was also very good and great if you are eating it with a group. I also got Hurricane Margarita that was frozen and served on a goblet. For 7-8 bucks I'm not complaining! You get a lot for what you paid for and this actually got me a bit buzzed. I got a sirloin steak that was 16 ounces. I personally don't like the ribeye but more meat for me. It came with the seasoned rice and the seasoned vegetables which I can't complain about. Overall, our server was great. They were attentive to us if we needed anything and was actually helping us recommend things to drink/eat so I think that is a plus in my book. Hands down the best Texas Roadhouse location in northern VA. We got the ribeye which comes with two sides and their ribeye is tender, juicy, and absolutely a great value. Only one thing we wouldn't do again - for one of the steaks we got all the extras: mushrooms, onions, jalapeños on the side and honestly wouldn't do it again. For over $2 per extra, it wasn't worth it. The jalapeños were straight up just cut up raw jalapeños. For sides we got a mix of their chili, loaded baked potato, , mashed potatoes w gravy, house salad and caesar salad. All were delicious! And their bread and butter is just amazing as always! We figured it would be less busy than other places due to how old the location is and all the new business surrounding it. Party of 4 and a baby. We put our names on the waiting list, at the same time this huge group of people were leaving. We were then seated right away! Tons of people inside. They were really busy, however our waiter was on top of it all and very nice. My side house salad was delicious! My 6oz sirloin was charred perfectly from the grill and a nice juicy pink inside with No sauce or seasoning needed. Same with my big baked potato, though I do like to salt and pepper that. Very good. Shrimp were flavorful as well. We got the check and I was surprised to see it was very manageable. If we ate the same at Outback, the bill would be triple. I visit this place often, and I'm always impressed by the friendly service and overall quality of the food. Their rolls with cinnamon butter are SO addictive! For appetizers, we ordered the fried pickles. While they were okay, I found the pickles weren't as fresh as I'd hoped, and the batter lacked crispiness. They were also a bit too salty for my taste. For the main entree, I got the 16oz ribeye with a house salad and stuffed baked potatoes as sides. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rare. I normally do not write reviews for chain restaurants but the amount of times I have visited this location and had a great experience is more than plenty. I also am very confident to say that Texas Roadhouse is one of my favorite restaurants. The service is always prompt and friendly, never encountered anyone rude. The manager also does a great job checking in on tables and asking how everything is. The longest wait times I've seen was 30 minutes for a weekend dinner. Food comes out extremely fast that our table is usually in and out of the restaurant within an hour. Im a NY strip gal and every time I've ordered medium rare, it comes out near perfect! And let me tell you- I am very picky when it comes to steak. I oftentimes cook steak at home, but I am still amazed how consistent the food comes out each visit. Other items I enjoy are the rattlesnake bites, chili (very weird from me because I don't normally like chili????), and fried pickles, and their lemonades. (Dont think I need to mention how good their bread is, but it is very good) Overall great vibes! Our family used to go to Great American Restaurants for celebrations but quickly turned to Texas Roadhouse for celebrations or when we crave steak. It wasn't ready when we first arrived by the server brought the rolls over to us as soon as they were ready. The chili had a sweetness flavor to it that I wasn't expecting, and I had asked for no onions. I ended up leaving it and not eating it. My guest really enjoyed the smothered chicken and I thought the chicken critters were okay/good.
