Me and my significant other came here for dinner and let me just say I was disappointed. We got there and we were seated right away. The service was awesome. Nothing to complain on that end. I ordered steak and I wanted mashed potatoes with that but they ran out of mashed potatoes. They were cooking them and it would've took 30 minutes to finish so I ordered a loaded baked potato. The baked potato was pretty hard and I did not like it at all... so I told them I wanted fries as a replacement and they replaced the potato. Fries were good and seasoned to perfection. This review covers a single order. It consisted of the Bone-in Ribeye w/French Onion Soup and baked potato as the sides, plus an order of Sydney Sh'rooms. Let's start with the soup, which had a rich broth full of flavor and came piping hot. I would have liked to see more onions, but the cheese was plentiful. The baked potato was a big disappointment, however. It was definitely overcooked, making the filling inside hard and dry. The fully added toppings helped a little but not enough to make the skin (which was hard as rock) edible. Now as to the steak, it was delicious, but not evenly cooked. The meat around the bone was perfection (ordered medium rare) but the farther from the bone the meat was more cooked to a medium temp. The meat was quite tender, so I did enjoy it very much. The mushrooms were also a bit on the hit and miss scale. The flavor on the coating was very good, however, there was actually more coating than mushroom many of the times. The mushrooms were also quite small and not as meaty as I would have preferred. The dipping sauce that came with the mushrooms was very good indeed. I placed my order at approx 4pm on Sunday, Jan. 11th. I received a confirmation text at 4.11pm. I received a order is almost complete text at 4.39pm. I headed to the restaurant and parked in spot 1 and checked in at approx 5.01pm. I waited 10 min before two additional cars pulled up and a young lady delivered one of their orders. She approached my vehicle and asked for my name. I told her, Kendra. She said thank you and went back into the restaurant. She never came back out. I called at 5.22pm and explained that I had been waiting since 5.01pm and that I had no received my order. I was placed on hold and when a different voice came on, she said my order was being prepared! She then came out to my car (the same young lady from before) and apologized because she said my order had been given to someone by mistake. She offered me a dessert or drink while I waited. I opted for the dessert. Finally, my order was bought out at 5.45pm (approx 45 min after my arrival). However, the order was missing my husband's two sides to his salmon order. The young lady came back out and asked if I had everything, I told her no and what was missing. She went back in and came out with the sides and apologized because she said that she should have checked to make sure everything was there. I had missed an entire first quarter of the Eagles game and had to watch what I could through the restaurant window. We received a gift card to Outback as a Christmas gift. That is the only reason we ordered here. I cannot make a promise that we will ever be back, as this was a bad enough experience to not return and frankly a dessert was not enough. read more

But today was the day I decided Im never gonna return again. first we walk in there about 4 tables worth of customers not really busy, were enjoying our time and drinking our drinks and then it happens a big white piece of something appears as we look at our drink, very gross like when I looked at my drink it was gone and I literally froze. So we just ask for a exchange of drinks cause maybe the cups dirty, but no that was the case next our drinks return and I just happen to put the light on it and it so much white stuff my whole body went cold, we asked for a manager and they told us they are busy with the health inspector and can't come out. the waiter and assistant manager I presume were very nice gave us water and free desert and apologized for the inconveniences, tried there best gave us 40% percent off a 80 Dollar lunch. I would still will never go back, as a franchise of a higher stature it really doesn't give the cleanest environment. then later that evening my mom calls "saying she feels sick and be in the bathroom all day". We used UBER eats to order from this Outback for delivery to a business hotel. The UBER part was perfect. The food came with no napkins, flatware or plates. Which put us on the hunt for these things in the hotel. Their kitchen was closed for Covid (and therefore they recommended Uber eats). But they scrounged up a few plastic utensils which broke when trying to cut a NY strip. So I ate the dinner "Viking style" with fingers. I called outback to complain and was met on the phone with an indifferent employee who viewed me as a Karen just complaining. No action nor apology, simply inert. If you are looking for a steakhouse in Lancaster I highly recommend this one. Especially over Longhorn. The restaurant was clean and the set up/decor was open and updated. Plenty of parking. You may have to wait a few minutes for a table if you come around 6 -7pm. Now the important part - the food! Appetizers- I would order the steakhouse quesadilla again and again! Only recommendation is to add a marinara type of dipping sauce with the sour cream. The shrimp dip and chips was okay, but the chips are made fresh with every dish so they came out hot which was great! Of course he bloomin onion was amazing. You can't go wrong with fried onion and horseradish dipping sauce! The house salad was very fresh with good ingredients. I really enjoyed the croutons and house dressing. Steak was good, I'm not a big steak person so I can't say it was the best ever or comment about the way it was cooked. All I know is that it was steak and it was good! Mashed potatoes were the only let down of the meal. Extremely salty! That's all I could taste. Dessert- cheesecake New York style with chocolate drizzle. I've dined here a few times with my daughters (5 & 9) and we always enjoy our dinner. We all like our steaks prepared medium rare (I sometimes get rare) and they always come out perfect. And since my girls can be picky eaters at time, I let them both order 'an adult steak'... because I know they will eat the whole thing, or at at least most of it, if it's cooked a good medium rare; and it always is. Tonight was no different. We were running errands and lost track of time and came in at 9pm for dinner. We were happily greeted and sat right away. Our server, Ali, was wonderful! She was friendly and patient, especially while my girls were ordering and changing their minds at the same time about their sides. She treated them like 'big girls'; like asking them if they needed anything else instead of asking me if they did. Both of my girls loved that and both said how nice she was. I've bartended and served for almost 18 years, so I know what I like and look for in a server... and I love that my girls do too. So when thinking outback you think of Texas Roadhouse and longhorn. Comparing the 3 outback comes in last. The steak was good and seasoned well but was not the best cut of meat and had tons of fat. I expect fat when getting a bone-in ribeye but this was another level. The fried Mac and cheese were awful and they definitely did not choose the right cheese(s) and they were over cooked. Top notch Outback Steakhouse! I've been here for 2 yelp events and both times the experience was amazing and perhaps a bit unexpected from a large chain. The management and staff genuinely care for their guest and the service is second to none. I can't stress this enough: I've never seen restaurant employees smile as much and make me feel like royalty while I'm dining here. The recent remodel of the restaurant made a huge difference in the ambiance and feel and looks great. The food was amazing, especially the steak quesadillas and 3 cheese steak dip. Of course the sirloin was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes, while a little salty, were delicious. Dessert had me wishing I had more room in my belly, but I managed to finish it all. After they screwed up our $100 order by giving us an ultra-peppered cut of prime rib, after we specifically asked for the cut with no added spices (in writing and on the phone), I had to wash off the spices for my partner that can't eat spicy food, and then reheat it in the pan at home. They also forgot the horseradish! By the time the meat was edible, it was over cooked and it sucked! Oh, I forget to mention that this was a celebratory dinner that they screwed up. For some messed-up reason we gave this place another shot a few weeks later?!? They took our online order just before 9pm (the website stated that the kitchen was open until 9:30 online). We even got a reminder telling us to head their way as our order was almost ready, but when we arrived, they said they never received the order. We supplied them with numerous screenshots, and upon further investigation, they did find the order. It just never got to the kitchen folks before 9pm, which is when they closed the kitchen that night. I was told they changed their hours during the pandemic, but unfortunately their website and automated system didn't state that. So, it still took our $90 order, confirmed that it was being processed, and even prompted us to head their way to pick it up. Super lame!!! When I arrived and found out that they dropped the ball again, I was livid! I explained this compounded scenario in vivid color, stressing my displeasure and was offered an apology and a refund, but no coupon or extras for the hassle. And, no food! Instead I was told to go next door to Carrabba's because they were open for another 30 minutes... Unbelievable BS! Going to Bonefish from now on. At least when they made us wait an extra 15 minutes for our curbside order one time, because of their mixup, the manager gave us a $50 coupon towards our next visit. Crumbs on the entire lower level of bar top, fingerprints all over-didn't look like it had been wiped down-almost left but were very hungry. Outback Steakhouse in Lancaster,PA was one of the worse dining experiences I have had in years. The atmosphere was loud music and flashing television screens and restaurant is not a sports bar. Our food, steaks, ​were fatty, gristly and inedible. I surmised the chef must be a heavy smoker with diminished taste due to the saltiness of the food. I hadn't been to the Outback in awhile. Not for any particular reason... I just sort of forgot. Well, tonight I had a great experience at the Outback in Lancaster and tried a whole bunch of different things. The place has a new look, more classic, still homey, still reminding you that the theme is Australia. This particular Outback is spotlessly clean, nicely lit and very comfortable. The staff here is AMAZING. Everyone I came into contact with was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. So on to the food! The Steakhouse Quesadillas: yum! These had thick slices of steak and a good amount of cheese in them. Perfect appetizer amount of filling. Next up was the classic Bloomin' Onion. This is an oldie and a goodie, but it seemed like it had received a little face lift. I remember when these became popular like 20 years ago. There were issues. Sometimes they were not really cooked through all the way, the breading fell off, they were greasy. I don't know what the file folks did but this beauty was cooked through, spicy enough, crunchy and evenly breaded. The dipping sauce was a good pairing for the onions. Or my fingers. Last appetizer of the night: Creamy Shrimp Scampi Dip. This one was a surprise for me. When it came out, I thought it was going to be cheesy based on the color and consistency. I was happily wrong. This was a thick, creamy, lemony dip filled with chunks of shrimp and diced tomatoes and green onions. I really loved this. In fact, I was kind of stingy about sharing it. It came in a cute little cast iron skillet with these curly tortilla strip chips. Then came the amazing salad. Seriously, what makes a salad stand out to me? It's more than just lettuce. It's more than one kind of lettuce, cut into reasonably bite sized pieces, with other colorful veggies and good dressing. I tried the house mustard based dressing which tasted kind of like an Italian vinaigrette but with a sweatness the server told me came from honey. Another really nice touch? The grape tomatoes were cut in half. So nice. If they're left whole they're generally hard to fork and slip off the plate. From salad we went to the main event: Steak and Shrimp. I had the 6 ounce center cut sirloin, cooked to medium doneness, which here was a warm pink center, with their wood grilled shrimp and a sampler of three sauces for the shrimp. My side was mashed potatoes with herbs. Normally, I'm a medium rare gal but this steak was delicious and tender, juicy and flavorful in a way that sirloin rarely is. To get this kind of flavor I normally have to go for a fattier, more expensive, NY Strip. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and I honestly can't tell you which sauce was my favorite, the garlic butter, the sweet and tangy or the BBQ. I actually asked if I could buy bottles of the stuff. My only complaint was that my mashed potatoes were a little salty. I tried their Hometown Hero cocktail, a portion of which goes to a veterans charity, and was blown away by how easy it was to drink and tasted so good. This has blackberry moonshine in it, watermelon puree, lemonade and club soda. I really enjoyed it. Also had the Watermelon Rita and their Golden Road Blonde Lager. All very tasty. Dessert was a true New York style cheesecake: creamy, soft, slightly tangy. It was drizzled with an impressive house made chocolate sauce with a velvety, rich chocolatey taste. Here's a team that makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive to when you walk out the door. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard we'd get to try Outback's newest items at a Yelp event. They treated us extremely well last time and they didn't hold back a bit for this one. In fact, I think they upped their game. Here's the latest lineup: Steakhouse Quesadilla - Slow roasted prime rib, cheese, and all the rest sliced to eat like a stuffed steak pizza. Oh yeah. Bloomin' Onion - The iconic item from Outback and probably the best seller on their entire menu. Get yours extra crispy. Three Cheese Steak Dip - Did they say three cheeses? I think it's really like five but they had me at Gouda. Actually, I'm a Philly kid. They had me at cheese and steak of any kind. Blue Cheese Pecan Chopped Salad - Awesome by itself. The blue cheese vinaigrette put it over the top. They could bottle and sell that stuff. 18oz Sirloin with Roasted Garlic Butter - That's a lotta steak. You may want to enjoy this one over the course of two meals. There's plenty of seasoning with the rub and they've worked it so the steak pairs well with their Bloomin' Blonde Ale. The lightness of the beer does strike a nice balance. Shrimp on the Barbie - Maybe cliché but they know how to cook up some tasty shrimp. I'd be happy to eat these any day and could easily make a meal with a few skewers of these bad boys. Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse Cake - Chocolate and peanut butter. I don't need to say anything more except, get this to share. Sure, it could be sharing with yourself over the next day or so and that's perfectly okay. Just don't expect to finish this delicious cake all by yourself after a full meal. The good news is, this one will last well if you get some to go. Me thinks the drinks - Whether it's the new Aussie Mule or the new Gingerbread Cookie Martini, these are dangerously drinkable.
