I went to a different Outback about 5 years ago and it was an OK experience - nothing really stood out about it. This Outback, however, was great! Along with Outback's fun atmosphere, the servers were attentive and pleasant, and the food was very good. I always come here for dinner.. I think food is better than any other steak house in town. Texas Roadhouse everything is too salty.. Cattle Baron used to be my favorite but they always mess up my prime rib order so since then I've been coming to this place. Cozy ambiance, friendly servers, and food is better. read more

So disappointing. Our family doesn't dine out often, so this was supposed to be a special treat. Fail. Service was so slow (2 hours start to finish). Potatoes very undercooked. Lobster tail and lump crab very fishy smelling/tasting. Ribs too salty. Steak ok. Manager offered free dessert after we complained. After waiting 20 min for it, we left. Manager followed us to parking lot and gave it to us there, explaining caramel had to be defrosted. It was still ice cold. $150 wasted. read more

The service is poor for this location. The staff seems uninterested in ensuring quality service. I had to request a menu. The food is mediocre now. I ordered a well done steak and it was cooked to a crisp. I could have sworn it was dried steak jerky. The fries were over seasoned and the bread was hard as a saltine cracker. Another observation....the few patrons dining were senior citizens. There was not a single patron in their late 20's to late 30's. Not one person at bar as I waited on my order. If it wasn't for the Blooming Onion there be nothing to go here for thats any different then any other steak place. Took the family and a friend here tonite and it was good food but the price is always too high for a simple meal out. Like others have said they were more impressive and better in the early days now they just don't care what they do. The place was crowded and for 3 adults and 2 children they put us at a small table which couldn't even hold all of the food that was ordered comfortably on top of all the menus books specials and everything else they put on the table so it kinda felt like we were eating in a closet. I cannot remember the last time I had a meal this bad. I had the "filet" and lobster tail. I'm not sure what is was suppose to be a "filet" of but it sure wasn't filet mignon. I ordered it medium and it came out well done. My daughter ordered a hamburger well done and it was bleeding all over the plate. Our blooming onion was so burnt we couldn't eat half of it. My sister in law ordered something with all you can eat shrimp and the shrimp was also way too over done. The service was only so-so but that may have been because the waitress was too busy taking all the cooks mistakes back to the kitchen. What waitress would serve their customers food that was obviously overdone? I usually leave a 20% tip but not this time, and I don't even feel bad about it. read more

This restaurant is practicing the classic "Bait and Switch" tactics to lure customers in with a product that has been grossly misrepresented and incorrectly priced. Currently the company is advertising a meal that is "starting at $15.99" . This price is advertised throughout all media outlets, and is on the stores website as such. However, that specific meal is in fact $18.99, and the answer that comes back is that the store is a franchise store not a cooperate store. But as I pointed out, the website is very specific regarding their location. This is false advertising that is very misleading. read more

Worst experience ever! Place was not busy. The restaurant was half empty and I asked the hostess why we were not seated after waiting (1 hour). Her response was "waiting on silverware". The manager said sorry I was at the bar. "What"? It still took anothe 15 minutes to get seated and another 30 to get drinks, not to mention food looked like it had been microwaved to heat up. Fair food and other items. Same as all others. Over peppered steaks so ask for little seasoning and will be fine. I have never been impressed with the chain. Local steak houses have better steaks and larger for same $$, so look around and support local. read more

My sons and I stopped in late on a Friday. Service was extremely slow, even though there were very few people in the restaurant. We were seated in the bar area, although several tables were available in the dining area. When it was time to pay, I was encouraged to pay at the table kiosk, which still had the previous customers' bill on it. I was concerned I'd be charged for both of the means so I asked that the other customers' bill be removed before I paid. We left around 10pm. Around 2am, I woke up, violently ill, vomiting. I came to this outback on a slow Sunday, not many customers and no wait. Hostess was very kind and opened the door for us. That was about it. We were sitting in the lounge area and the bartender was our waitress. Our food took over 30 minutes, for an appetizer! Salad was plain and server was inattentive and aloof. Once she saw we weren't ordering a lot she stopped coming by to check. 3 times we had to call her over and no one else was in the lounge area or bar top. Outback seems to be stepping up it's game here in Las Cruces. We ate here at Valentine's Day and it was horrible. So decided maybe because of the holiday should give it another shot. We were pleasantly surprised, I had a Scallop and Pasta dish which was very good, possibly a little too spicy for Pasta Alfredo but the scallops were done to perfection and the sauce was delicious. My husband had a sirloin steak and coconut shrimp combo and the steak was done properly and the coconut shrimp were very good and is something we will have again. This is the first time we have eaten at this Outback during a period of 7 years where we went out very satisfied. So Las Crucans, give it another try. read more

This is my all time favorite Outback ever !! I have travelled for the last 30 years and cover the western US. I am very particular about my food choices as it can be quite dicey !! The Outback chain is at the top of my choices as it is consistently way good. But, this location is truly my favorite which speaks volumes !!! He totally screwed up the checks and then took another 30 minutes to correct it. We came here for my husband's birthday. We were greeted by the hostess she sat us down to our table and assumed we knew how to use these kiosks to order she left us with the menus and silverware for us to set the tableourselves. Our waitress was prompt greeted us, was friendly, and she did her job well. But when it came time pay for our orders she helped herself to our ''spare change' from one of our payments. I wasn't in the mood to make a scene and seeing that it was my husband's birthday we let it slide. I'm posting it here because this is common among Millennial food servers. Helping yourself to the customer's change is no better than a beggar asking for spare change. You lose the respect of your customers and risk chasing them away. Maybe she didn't see the tip we left, which was slightly more then the tip suggestion on the receipt. Next time this happens I will demand my complete change no matter how small. It is bad form for the waitress to assume we don't want our change. You get your tip if you do your job don't turn into a thief and help yourself to something that you have no right to. read more

3 adults for dinner. I ordered sirloin and coconut shrimp also a salad. I asked for dressing on the side Nope it was dumped on the salad. The lettuce was not that fresh. Coconut shrimp tasted less than fresh. Took one bite and sent it away. I did not bother to order more because it would be the same. Ordered steak medium and got it well done which was dry. Not to mention the massive amount of salty seasoning on the steak. Waitress brought more bread but no butter. Had to ask for bread plates. All the salad plates were left on the table in the way for the duration of our meal. I had read previous poor reviews but thought we would give it a chance. We moved here from San Diego last year and dined frequently at the local Outback there & the food and service always great. This place needs to train all their staff including cooks. The prices have increased and definitely not worth it. There are much better steak places locally. read more

Aviv and Fracis greeted my family and I at the door and we were seated right away! Our service was amazing, and the food was cooked perfect! i was part of a group of ladies that visited this restaurant for a birthday lunch yesterdayour server daniel was very awesome he was very courteous and professional he was always available to refill our beverages he also was very attentive to answer our qustions and tended well to all of our needs prebussing xtra clean plates and silverware for our birthday cheesecake that one of ou ladies brought for dessert please pass on the word that this outback is now open daily for lunch the signature side salad is awesome and a good portion size i also had the grilled chicken sandwich with swiss cheese and bacon i had the honey mustard sauce on the side and it was delicious this restaurant is a little pricey but it is classy without being formal have a good day mates the manager also made an appearance at our table i didnt catch her name but she was awesome as well read more
