This had to be one of the worst experiences in my life. I'm from Va and came to see my sister play roller derby. This was close so my mom and I went. We waited 15 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order. He never said hello or went over the specials and he rolled his eyes when we placed our order. He acted like we were imposing on his time. When he brought the food he actually slammed it on the table and walked off without saying a word. I'm not sure if he entered or order wrong or if the kitchen made an error but both our orders were horribly wrong. My burger was supposed to be medium and it was beyond rare and my mother didn't get the item she ordered. What was interesting was the time he took with his other tables. I'm not sure if they were friends of his or not. We also had to wait 15 min for the check because he forgot. If we had known of somewhere else closely we would have gone there. The bathrooms were pretty nasty too. I'll never return. read more

I came in when the place opened at around 4:00 and the service was very slow despite there being only a few other people in the place. The server forgot to put in the order for the crab chowder so it came out after my entree. Since I was staying at the hotel next door I ended up stopping in later for a late dinner. I order a bowl of soup and two appetizers. When I ordered I was told that the computer showed only one portion of one of the appetizers remaining and that he would check to be sure it was available. 30 minutes later I was told that that appetizer wasn't available and i would have to order something else. When I asked why he didn't check earlier as he said he would his excuse was that he doesn't work take out. That didn't seem to explain why he didn't check, and he was the one who took my order at the dedicated take out station. 15 minutes later my order was ready. I have had good experiences at other Outback locations but this one needs some work. read more

The receptionist / hostess acted like their were better places to be and you could sense there were some internal activities that were distracting the entire staff. When they took us to our table we walked past a number of tables that had not yet been cleaned off from the last guests. Food was ok - I had the ribs - but not what I would call "Outback Quality". The Bloomin Onion was overdone on one half of the onion while the other half was raw. We spent some time discussing how they cooked only half and came to the conclusion that it must have been part of several cooking and this one had half not really in the cooking oil. Service mirrored the food quality. Waited for drinks. Waited for silverware. Watched them partially clean a table then stop and go do something else. We drove 500 miles for the day and were just going to get a sandwich before turning in. But seeing Outback on premise, we decided to have a full meal early instead. My wife had the lil sirloin special and I the 12 oz prime rib. Both came out perfect medium rare. Salad and potatoes are also consistently good. I had the aussie sized Sam draft, love the frosted glass. They were slightly short staffed like so many places now. It didn't bother us... Pretty much the worst Outback I've ever been to. The service is really bad, and the food is worse. The booths are dirty and have food in the corners. The menus have food caked on them and the worse part is this Outback is only a few months old! You used to be able to get a decent 6oz Outback special for $10. Now it's $12.99 and not even close to being worth it. We gave them 3 try's, and they struck out. There's plenty of Steak houses around. Don't waste your time with this hole. read more

This is the worst Outback I have ever eaten at. Tonight was the third time I have eaten there and the first two times they forgot to add my sides. My bill was over $100. Tonight the Blooming onion looked like it was a week old and they forgot my sauce. The salad had wilted cucumbers. Again, a $80 bill and we threw away most of the food. Horrible. We have always loved the food at Outback, so in August 2019, my husband and I took our daughter and son-in-law to the Outback Restaurant in Laurel for dinner. Things could have gone better, but after speaking to the manager, Mr. Russell Key we decided to go back and try Outback Laurel again. This time we had a fantastic experience! The service was wonderful, the food was perfectly prepared and delicious, and the waiter (Enrique) was one of the best servers we've ever had - anywhere! He was charming, efficient and had a wonderful sense of humor. The only drawback is the parking situation (as others have mentioned), so plan accordingly if you have elderly or disabled guests with you. We will definitely return to Outback Laurel in the future :-) read more

Victoria was our server. She was great and provided us with great service. My boyfriend and I were on our way home from OC and were starving and all we wanted was some good food. We came here to get some great steak and that's actually what we got. Service was beyond great. Location is remodel so everything is nice, new and very neat. Bathrooms were extremely clean. We will be coming here more frequently on our dates. Nice area. I enrolled for the reward program. Food was served quick. And the food itself was delicious. read more

Will not return to this outback. Dirty floor at our table. Ordered an appetizer and it came out but we didn't have silverware. Had to ask for that and bread. Salads came out right before our entrees. I'm torn if this should be a 1 or a 3 start review, so I'll settle for 2. (Although it would have been 4 if not for the major issue I incurred) First off I want to comment that the food was all tasty. Great quality at the price point. Now for the issues.... 1. I ordered and received the wrong appetizer. Simple enough mistake, could be a mis-type on the touch screen or a miscommunication (mozzarella & portobello sound similar after all.) This was handled with grace and I had no issue following this. 2. I orders the steal topped with crab special. The steak was well prepared, the crab topping was OK in taste. However, as I neared the end of the meal I took a bite of the crab and steak only to have something sharp and jagged greet my pallet. Upon further examination this was peace of plastic or glass . I was later told this was from the container the crab meat came in. The manager took care of the meal and assured me the contaminated source was taken care of. The non-meal related customer service was professional and I was appreciative to hear the explication/solution that was taken. That said, regardless of the reason I can't give a good review when something so egregious that it could have caused significant harm to me no matter how well the post-modem was handled. read more

I'm a regular at this place and live here locally; quality has gone down dramatically since prior to COVID. I figured I will give it another try and got delivery. Blooming Onions came burned (to the point they looked completely dark); same with the other item. All was soggy. The order was not sealed, and the bread was just left opened with an opened bag outside of my door. Not COVID safe, and no non-tampered evidence. Disappointing! read more

I think we got lucky compared to the other reviews but we popped in here friday nigh for dinner.. me my husband and a friend. We got super efficient service from Felicia and pretty damn good food too! We ordered a steak, prime rib and baby back ribs.. all were pretty good and the price was reasonable too. Felicia was very helpful when I asked for recommendations (being indecisive) and super fast when we each requested a sauce (husband loves his sauces ). Also, my husbands steak was more on the rare side towards the bone. Felicia made no fuss about us asking to get it cooked a little more. And when she brought it back it still looked delicious. The steak had a great char and very good seasoning. Def can come back for affordable dining. Overall a SURPRISINGLY GREAT experience!!! read more

We love outback - but not tonight. It was empty - so what was the excuse for the poor service. Oh I know, it was because our waitress spent so much time socializing in the bar. Yes, we could see her. She never checked us, if we asked for something it didn't come out until she had more food to bring out (like ketchup - we had to wait until the people beside us food arrived). And the best part, when we got the check she circled and drew flowers and stars around the tip portion of the bill. She spent more time drawing her little flowers and stars than she did waiting on us! There are other places to go where we can get decent service. And there are other Outbacks Well I called and complained. The manager, Lindsay, was terrific. She saw this as a training opportunity. And she was happy to take steps to make sure that my family returned. Next time we go we will ask for Lindsay - if service is back to normal I will give it 5 stars! read more

I feel compelled to write a review as my husband and I have had the Outback experience 4 times this week. Yesssss ... 4 times (shame)! We were in Beltsville for work and stayed at the Holiday Inn hotel, right next to Outback. For food you have two options: you either walk to Outback from the comfort of the hotel lobby or you take your car and miserably drive 15 minutes away to get a few more options for way least decent food chains. Haaa, easy choice: Outback became our hangout spot. We have tried about 1/3rd of their menu so these are my recommendations: - Good appetizers: Wings! The wings are very good, we had them every night :) The Crab & Avocado Stack is not bad either. - Appetizers to avoid: Seared Ahi Tuna (tasteless), Spinach Artichoke Dip (way too salty), Clam Chowder (too dense). - Steak: All cuts taste the same because of overdosed seasoning (so just get the cheap one!). Now, the Rack of Lamb was good, but more expensive. - Fish: the Tilapia with Pure Lump Crab Meat was better than the Salmon. The Lobster Tails were overcooked. - Good sides: nothing stand out - Bad sides: All vegetables were undercooked (still crunchy), the house salad was miserable. - Dessert: good cheesecake. The food comes in pretty quickly, sometimes you are not done with appetizers yet. It is presented in the most basic way: here you go a piece of salmon and a big spoon of mashed potatoes (I could still see the shape of the kitchen tool on it!). It's always over-seasoned. Too expensive for what you get. But overall, it is a lot more decent than any other food you will get in the area and the service was friendly and consistent. We liked to sit around the bar area, its cozy, the rest of the restaurant was pretty empty. I'm done with Outback!! ... until my next visit to the Holiday Inn :( read more

This is my go to place that I will meet friends here since it is right off the beltway in a pinch for a good meal. I always get the Huckleberry Tea (has Firefly in it yum!), my favorite drink there! Food is always consistent I love the Kookaburra wings and get a side salad along with it. The service is not always consistent, but not bad (hence 3 stars). The server was new and it showed, so I take that into consideration. The other times I have gone here and it has been many, the servers were excellent. It is not always my first choice for a place to eat, but truly a safe pick. read more

Drinks barely have alcohol in them, staff is lazy for the most part. Takes awhile to get any attention when seated at the bar or within bar area. Staff seems more concerned with socializing with one another than making customers happy and oh, you know, earning tips? We had a very frustrating evening. We ordered DoorDash. We did not receive all/most of our condiments. I tried calling the store to let the Manager know. FIVE times and no one answered. We are NOT looking for a hand out at all. Just wanted to encourage someone to double check takeout orders. it definitely was disappointing because OB's sauces make everything amazing. My best friend and I decided to grab dinner because we were both in the mood for steak. She arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes​ before ​i did, and had been told by a waitress that they would be right with her when she sat down. By the time I arrived, no one had come over at all. We sat there for another 20 minutes before I stopped a waitress walking by if we were going to have a server? She looked at me confused and said she would find out. Another 15 minutes went by, and there was still no server. I finally got up and went over to the hostess stand and the same waitress was standing there, and I asked if we were going to have a server or we were leaving. She clearly did not want to wait on our table and had a total attitude. We both ordered steaks medium and medium rare, they were both well done. Fantastic service and I wish I could give more stars. We were immediately sat down at a nice clean table and immediately we're greeted by our server who was very friendly and courteous and immediately took our drink order and made sure we were happy with our drinks and was patient while we decided what we wanted for our meal and once we placed our order someone promptly came over with some hot bread for our table and double-check to make sure that we had ordered our drinks which showed up promptly as did our meal. (Update) After our initial experience at this outback location the store manager Candy reached out to me very quickly and was extremely and presumably sincerely apologetic. She explained why she believed some of the issues occurred and did not make any excuses. She instead reversed all of the charges incurred on that night and invited myself and my wife to a dinner to make things up. The food and drinks came out very fast and the service was impeccable. Candy came out to our table multiple times and was so nice it was hard to believe our initial experience was so bad. The meal was great and everything was taken care of. Late review, went for a Valentine's Day early dinner after work. Ordered the new salmon dish with bacon cooked medium with a fully loaded baked potato, of course it was overcooked. The best item was the baked potato. My husband ordered his go to dish Alice Springs chicken with steakhouse mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was disgusting, along with the salmon. Dried out and tasteless. Outback used to be very good for a chain restaurant, but now it's like having a 60's tv dinner. Mediocre at best. I will not be going back. read more

Everything was fine until the food came. Ha, what a weird thing to say. We were all anticipating our food, but how could we eat without our ridiculous waiter removing the dirty plates + appetizer? It's basic etiquette to do so before serving food so when I brought it to his attention, that was the moment he decided not to care about delivering a good service. Our orders were wrong and we needed refills for more than half the time we were there. I tried to get his attention in various ways, while understanding he had other tables to attend to, but it got to the point of just plain rudeness. He'd see us and turn away and all other waiters seemed to be preoccupied... so we sat there... waiting for anyone to check in on us [which never happened]. I got so fed up of waiting too long; I went to speak to someone and all I got was "your waiter is the second manager and he just did a big service for us... he's busy". The waiter never apologized and the host gave us that bulls*it excuse. It was ALL awful. I've never had such a crappy experience at Outback until yesterday at around 8/9 pm. Unfortunately didn't get the waiter's name, but he is white and short, think he had a beard or sone kind of facial hair. Definitely would not recommend this trash of a place. :) read more

If you were able to dine inside the restaurant this review might be better. Since you cannot due to the pandemic I am basing this review on the experience I have had recently getting my meal delivered through DoorDash. Of the multiple items I ordered they only got one correct, which was the wings. Everything else was a disaster of biblical proportions in terms of the food service industry. They completely forgot my ribs which were on the receipt that they staple to the to-go bag. The steak was over cooked and accompanied by two completely incorrect sides. Even the desert, a chocolate thunder from down under, was a disaster. They managed to burn the "brownie" so bad that it was not eatable. The staff on the phone when I called to complain were very nice but could not offer any type of compensation because I ordered through DoorDash. Absolutely terrible service and food. Beware if you order from this place. It's like playing Russian roulette. read more

I was happy about that and thought we'd give outback another try. ‍ This time we went to the Germantown location with my in-laws. It took us 2.5 hours to have the simplest of meals. No service, no food - while the other tables surrounding my family and I are being serviced, then coming and going - as we continue to sit and wait. Service - a big fat zero star (waitress Tia) Food - 2.5 stars Management's handling of our situation - 4 stars (Victoria & Joe) Normally, I would look to the kitchen for part of the blame, for the slow service, but when the tables surrounding me are being fed and coming and going, I start to wonder what's going on with our waitress. We saw her in the beginning and she was quick to provide our beverages, warm bread and an app of breaded mushrooms, but after that; Tia was non-existent. Although the breading on the mushrooms were tasty, the coating was soft and not crunchy, as the picture depicted. Close to 30-40 minutes later, our meals arrive - minus my son's mac and cheese and the side sauce for the endless (not really endless) shrimp. When the mac and cheese finally arrived (thanks to Victoria), it wasn't until after my son finished his steak. Speaking of steak, the hubby's new york strip was undercooked and riddled with gristle. And as far as those advertised "endless shrimp," well - they weren't exactly endless. Victoria (manager) brought us out a second helping of crunchy and buttery/herb shrimp and additionally offered to have another steak cooked for my hubby, but it was very late and we were eager to leave, by then. Though items were removed from our bill (we were thankful for that) and an additional discount was applied (something we hadn't expected); we still waited nearly 20 mins longer for our bill to arrive. read more

We had a HORRIBLE experience this evening. Our waiter Justyce(male name on our check ) ignored our table for 20 minutes. He then came over stating that "he is going to help us because someone else is taking too long to get to us". Lie..it was a cover up. We gave the benefit of the doubt and put in our orders including an appetizer. We did not receive ANY food for 40 minutes!!! Our food was brought out by ANOTHER waitress and then he brings over the appetizer and just sets it on the table with our entrees. At that time, we state that we no longer want the appetizer and he just leave it on the table. We then realize that the sides for our meal were wrong and had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the correct sides.The waitress checked on us multiple times...even brought us our correct sides and check! Justyce then comes over and bags up the appetizer that we didn't want and states that it will be free of charge. This was a horrible experience but shout out to the waitress that essentially cared for us the entire evening. We are sorry that we didn't have cash to leave HER a tip. read more

I am actually at Outback in Laurel being talked to like a child by the gentleman serving the cars. Since COVID, I've visited Outback several times but every time the process is different. We don't know whether to stay in our car or go to the door to get the food. Last week, the manager screamed at me because I came to the door, I came to the door because the week before I watched my order sit forever but when I asked why I was yelled at and now today I am being treated very very rude. read more

This review is for the bar. We have been twice for drinks and apps while waiting for our movie to start. The service is hit and miss. The drinks are consistently poor. A gin and tonic is a lot of ice, gin and a splash (if any) of tonic. Last visit we ordered some beer cheese fondue with pretzels. The fondue looked like it was slopped into the ramekin from a vat. Also, ordered some luke-warm onion pedals. We've learned our lesson. read more

My family of 5 went here on Monday, 4/9 about 6:30.There were about 4 other tables in the restaurant so not busy. We were greeted & sat quickly. Our server was polite & took our drink & appetizer orders quickly. The appetizer arrived within a reasonable time & we were pleased with our selection. Unfortunately, our entrees took about an hour to arrive. Our server did mention the delay & brought extra bread. Our food did arrive hot so it didn't seem like it had sat in the window long. However, the kitchen forgot the bacon on my bacon bourbon salmon. When I told the server she offered to have the manager bring it out but since we had been there for over an hour & half I declined. Maybe I should have because the manager didn't stop by. We finally left just after 8. Disappointing visit at a usually great place. read more

I love Outback! I also love fine dining steakhouses...so set your expectations correctly and you will have a grand time. On Wednesday, they offer the 3 course special...salad, 6 oz steak with a side and dessert for $12.99. I love their carrot cake. No raisins. I hate raisins in carrot cake. This place is also not diet friendly...I always gain at least 3 pounds. This is a place to indulge in calories...no different than a cheesecake factory. Tasty, fatty food. Get cheese and bacon on your fries with a side of ranch...yum! read more
