There were long periods of time when none of the wait staff were on the floor they seem to be hanging out in the back and spending a minimum amount of time helping customers. My wife and I had a late lunch at Outback yesterday (Thursday). This was our fifth and final visit to this neighborhood restaurant. The first two were good, third not so much, fourth and fifth have convinced us not to go back. My wife had a steak salad, I had a bacon cheeseburger, and we shared a Bloomin' Onion. The BO was EXTREMELY GREASY. Her salad was drenched in salad dressing and the lettuce was not crisp, steak just ho hum. Now, to my cheeseburger, and let me qualify my review of their burger by stating I normally salt my food, but did NOT in this case. My burger was SO SALTY, I could barely eat 3/4 of it. I kept removing things (lettuce, bacon, and pickle) to determine if they were the items causing the saltiness. Nope! After I removed the items, I would dunk the next bite in ketchup because it was somewhat sweet. The burger was SO SALTY I could not eat the rest of it and believe me, I do not leave any part of a burger on my plate uneaten. When I mentioned the saltiness of my burger to our server, he stated it was the seasoning and should order it next time without seasoning. Won't be a next time! Nowhere on the menu did it state the seasoning the burger was extremely salty (remember I use a lot of salt) and I could just feel my blood pressure going up. 5 Guys next door seasons their burger and at no time have I gotten an an inedible SALTY burger there. We will NOT go back and I wish Yelp had Zero Stars! UPDATE: The day after I initially posted this review (Friday), "Tiwana," from the OB called me. She stated they had a new grill man and that he had gone from one extreme (no enough seasoning) to the other (too much). She stated she would send us something that day through FEDEX and it should arrive the next day, or Monday at latest. She also asked us to come back and let her on-duty manager know we were in the restaurant so they could be sure we were happy. One week later later, no FEDEX package and no further contact from Tiwana or OB. So you can make the call as to whether their management is as bad as their food. 27 Jan 23 - Received email from Katelyn of Bloomin' Brands. Asked which restaurant we went to. Informed her same day. Still nothing. Still have NOT received the FEDEX package promised by Tiwana, and don't really expect to. So you can decide, good place to eat and spend your money, or not. I'm leaning toward NOT at this point. I can forgive crappy food, but I cannot, and will not, forgive being outright lied to. All I expect from a restaurant is good food, good service, and getting what I pay them good money for. 4 Feb 23 - Received FEDEX package with 4 x $20 "Tuck Away," cards, no letter, no apology, nothing else. I applaud their generosity but I don't think I'll be using the "Tuck Away," cards at this particular OutBack. I did receive a phone call from Tiwana on 1 Feb 23 as I was trying to prepare for a surgical procedure and did not have time to talk. She was upset with me for referring to her management team as a, "shithead manager," in an email to OutBack Corporation. Still don't think I'll go back to her restaurant. read more

I would give it zero stars but it does not allow me to. Walked in at 5:15 and was sat quickly as they were not busy. 2 tables got sat after us and they had a waiter come quickly not us. Not sure if all the new Outback's are being built this way but the tables seem smaller and the waiting area is simply a 2 person bench so the majority of people stand in the entrance and along the neighboring tables. In our two visits most of the staff seem new and are slow. My steak was over cooked both times and the food took a while to arrive. We will not be going back to this location for a while, hopefully over time it will improve. read more

Wife and I showed up on a Saturday night. We were not greeted by the hostess. It was very obvious she did not want to make eye contact. We asked if we could go sit at the bar. As we sat down. There was old food and napkins still sitting. That's not the issue. We said with old food and napkins for over 15 mins! We were never greeted by the bartender. Bartender talked to both people and gave refills to both people on Both sides of us. We walked out. Restaurant was dirty. Way better option to spend your money. read more

6:30 meal time on a Monday night. Half full restaurant, so they let some folks go home early to save labor $'s, as a business owner, I get it. But our service was bad. Had to go get my own silverware off of a table, they brought out way over cooked coconut shrimp but they were out of the marmalade to dip them in but didn't ask if still wanted them BEFORE they over cooked them and delivered them to the table. The French onion soup was cold the cheese wasn't even melted on top. So I asked them to take it back and melt it, and when it came back the cheese was nice and golden but it as well as the soup and bowl was cold. My husband has several severe food allergies so when we travel it is always a challenge to find a place to eat. We had a great experience here! Our server, Ravyn and Tewanna (?) the proprietor were excellent! They were incredibly attentive and came back several times to check about his allergies and the food that was being prepared. It was delicious! It was clean and the service was excellent. My mother was traveling with us and she continually used this restaurant as the standard for all the other meals as well. We highly recommend and will definitely revisit when we are in that area again! read more

Definitely my worst experience at an Outback. I didn't really like the layout of this outback. It felt very crowded. Food we received was inconsistent with what we ordered. I did not receive my salad , and I had to ask for it to go. Other locations are much better than this. read more

My mother and I ordered through DoorDash and waited 2 whole hours just to find out our order was cancelled. That is absolutely ridiculous!!! They could've informed us over an hour ago if they did not want to cook!!! Most likely will never order delivery again due to sorry a** service. Visited this "new style" Outback the evening of April 4. It had some of the usual glitches afflicting most restaurants since the Covid pandemic started--service was polite but a bit slow (somewhat understaffed?), noise level high, a few glitches with our order which were promptly corrected by our server. However, the main reason I'm reviewing is that I found the food excessively salty. The Steakhouse potato that came with my ribeye was apparently baked in salt and still had salt crystals clinging to its skin when served. The "signature seasoning" on the beef also seemed to consist largely of salt. My wife had the filet and she agreed about the salt. We've eaten at other Outback locations and I don't remember their dishes being oversalted like this. It's unnecessary since customers can always add salt to their own taste at the table. If you're watching your sodium intake for any reason, you might want to stick with a salad at this restaurant or eat somewhere else. read more

Super excited Outback has open off Zierdt Road. Love stopping by for early dinner and drinks. Staff is always friendly, professional and keep me laughing. Food options are tasty and hot. It's an extra bonus when the proprietor and supporting managers come around to ensure service was excellent. Arrived around 3:15 Sunday afternoon 04-03-22. Had a call ahead but took a couple minutes for them to figure out where to seat us. Was not crowded. Takes about 15 more minutes for server to arrive to get our drink orders. We went ahead and placed our food order as well. Ordered new giant tots. They were not available so we ordered fried mushrooms as appetizer. Took another 15-20 minutes to get our salads and a few more minutes for mushrooms. They appeared to be either over cooked or fried twice. Not tasty at all burnt taste and bland. Salads were pretty good. Hus and ordered large bowl potato soup as entree which was Luke warm, I ordered Alice springs chicken, also Luke warm with Luke warm almost overcooked fries. Very disappointing, it up to typical Outback standards. Perhaps they are still working out kinks 4 months after opening. Hope they can get the quality back up so they can make it at this location.
