Bartender immediately greeted us, gave us menus, then brought us bread--that brown bread after a day outside working was . My husband order the New York strip and I had the ribeye. We both chose salads for our sides; he did the baked potato and I did the mashed potatoes. Nothing better than a refreshing platypus punch after a long day of work! Outback always has the coolest drinks. The Platypus Punch is made with Deep Eddy grapefruit, mango and lemonade. Then you pour the butterfly pea tea from the egg into the drink to give it this stunning purple color (yes, you do get to keep the egg and platypus) For my meal, I ordered the filet mignon with loaded mashed potatoes and some Mac and cheese. Why do we do this to ourselves? Because it's the kids birthday and Outback was the choice. Thumbs DOWN. I ordered coconut shrimp for the first time in years. They were cocktail size instead of jumbo and fried into oblivion. Absolutely awful. The bloomin onion was good, but I think they shrank again. The salad and baked potato were great. Steaks weren't cooked properly, but they ate them anyway. Chicken tenders were still dried up and crusty looking. Chicken was chargrilled perfectly, the salad was huge with great flavor! They just need to give more dressing! Those little cups aren't enough for the size you're given! The pickup service is terrible. First let me state the menu prices are really high as with most restaurants. Caesar salads starting at $18? So right off the bat, when ordering a pickup, I'm paying a lot for this food. Paying online it defaults to a tip of 15%. For what? I don't tip McDonalds people who hand me food, why would I do it at Outback? Why would I tip a person walking 10 feet to hand me a bag, the same amount that a waiter gets for spending 1/2-1 hour waiting on me? So when online, I choose ZERO for the tip. You aren't driving to my house, you aren't delivering to me, you are essentially fast food. This apparently affects how they service me because the service sucks. I wait in my car for a long time past the time it says the food should be ready. I guess if they don't get a tip, they will screw me over? The prior pickup I did, I had to go inside because I had waited 10-15 minutes past the expected time. My food was there, just sitting there. I managed to get someone to give it to me. The food was cold when I got home. Just yesterday I did a pickup. I arrived on time. I waited 10 minutes. Nothing. So remembering the last time, I went inside. My food was just sitting there again but no one was in the area. I grabbed the food and left without asking. I get home and my phone app goes off, "your food is ready"! LOL!! They were going to wait THAT LONG to give me my food? I had fries and they were COLD and limp. The burger was less than appealing. I can cook much of what Outback offers and saved a ton of money. And NOT have to tip someone to walk my food 10 feet. That was the last time I do takeout from Outback. read more

My wife and I were seated with in 1 minute the restaurant was very clean. The lighting was perfect and not overbearing. It set an ambient tone specific to privacy and romantic alone time with the wife. Everything could not have been more perfect. Our waiter over delivered and catered to us with top notch efficiency and care. We never had to wait for him. He was observant and on top of everything making sure we never went without. Amazing place to bring family. Perfect for a night out with the wife. Excellent service exceptional value. We look forward to coming back. We have found our new date night spot. Walked in after running some errands to have dinner, literally stood at the door to be seated and 2 waiters literally started at us for 10 min. Changing my review for this Outback from a 2-star to a 5-star. I did curbside takeout today and it was flawless. I ordered a Caesar salad with the dressing on the side, as well as a 6 oz. filet with mashed potatoes, and everything was delicious. My only small complaint is that the steak was a little overpeppered. They also threw in a loaf of their brown bread, which is delicious! So that was exciting. They also give a little butter to go with it. This hasn't been my favorite Outback location over the years (see my previous reviews...) but I was highly impressed with my takeout tonight, so I'm updating my review. You don't even have to call when you get there, you give your car's make/model and they find you once you get there. read more

Sad to write this review because Outback had been a reliable source for a decent meal when we were looking for a quick and easy meal. Our last 5 meals here, (I know we kept trying), have not been good. 3 carryout meals and our last 2 dine in meals were total fails. A few weeks ago ordered the tuna ahi appetizer - which I'd also liked - but this time the tuna was off color and off flavor. I complained to the bartender (we were in the bar), he said he had to get the manager and left me sitting there with bad food in front of me while I waited. 10 minutes later I inquire - hey what's up - still waiting for manager. He finally come out and quizzes me like I'm trying to pull a fast one but finally takes it away. By that point I didn't want anything, just ate a bit of my bf's meal and we checked out. Ate in the other day and ordered the rib & chicken combo. The ribs were overcooked and dry - absolutely horrible. They tried to hide them under the sauce but it didn't work. Our blooming onion was overcooked and burnt - that was a new one. Chicken was ok, not great. 3 carryout orders in a row had grisly steak, undercooked veggies and sad salads. the bar tender and manager have never seen a NJ drivers license before so they thought mine was fake because it says "not intended for real ID purposes" meaning the "Real ID" needed for traveling that takes place in May. still a very valid ID that scans and I have used for the past 7 months in the state of Michigan. I was really looking forward to the good and was going to spend around 100 dollars here however the bar tender was very disrespectful by saying "take it easy" when I was upset why they wouldn't take my ID. these guys need some training on customer service. read more

Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants, but I have to say, this specific Outback has always been a great experience. Came here for a group event about a year and half ago and they did an amazing job. The staff was spectacular, the food surprisingly delicious (I know, I know, I'm crazy biased) and their cocktails fun, light and wonderfully buzzworthy. Today was not any different. I came in post-lunch pre-dinner so it was quiet. Sitting at the bar, I was greeted promptly by the bar tender who I'm absolutely ashamed to say I didn't hear his name because my headphones were in (Brian, I asked). Either way he was nice, clarified a couple of questions I had and was super attentive throughout the visit without being overbearing. Lovely gentleman. Ordered the coconut shrimp and what a surprise. I was expecting either a pile of itty bitty bits that were overbattered and undercoconutted (oh yes, you read that right, I just made up a word) or 2 insanely large shrimp made in the same fashion. What a nice surprise that not only were the shrimp size and coconut to batter ratio mucho excellenté, it was a perfect amount and perfectly made. I opted for lunch at this location. I ordered a chicken on the Barbie lightly seasoned they usually get it right. But today the chicken breast came out very yellow hardly seasoned and it tasted funny. I politely asked My server to take it off and I'd finish the rest of my order. 5 minutes later a agitated and very rude lady charged towards my table yellow chicken breast in hand and said what's wrong with this! I tried to explain the seasoning ect oy to put cut off and rudely spoken to again. I asked if she was having a bad day she said she was the owner and this was the third Oder sent back that day. I tried to explain that I'd frequently ordered this and it just wasn't the same she told me she didn't have time ect. I said I will pay you for that will make your day better no worries. She said No I want to know what I did wrong so I can correct it. I alllowed her to take it back only for it to arrive back to me the same way it left. We all have bad days but I did not deserve the blatant abuse and disrespect from this cook and OWNER. Needless to say I won't ever go back. The service was horribly slow. Even though there were less than 4 tables with clients the service took 1/2 hr waiting for waitress just to acknowledge us. You could hear all the staff in the kitchen having a great time as we waited for someone to take our order. The order was mixed up and my husband got 2 baked potatoes on his plate with steak. And I received zero baked potato. It has now been 25 minutes since we asked for our check. I do not recommend this place to eat. Service was horrible. It is a disservice to the company. My husband were last hear a while ago. We always tend to sit at the bar, gives you a good view of the place and the service is always ideal and super attentive at the bar. If we are feeling gluttonous whenever we are here? we will share their bloomin onion, otherwise it's a Brisbane Caesar for each of us, less croutons and a salmon for each of us too.
