I forget what its called but when you read the menu you'll see it. and you'll smile. And as you order it the server will look at you with approving eyes that say, "wise choice my friend. Inconsistencies Abound! I've been coming to this particular location for years, and as a result of poor food and service, I have also noted the numerous shifts in management. I can only attribute this to the inconsistency in food and quality of service. The food has managed to increase in price, while the quality and quantity has steadily decreased. Use of the "takeaway" service was a nice add, but it also suffers from poor timing, food quality, and correctness of one's order. Still not here and ate my mashed potatoes bc they we're getting cold. No manager came or waitress to see if I had gotten my steak. Tonight we decided to travel 45 min to Outback Steakhouse in Modesto for a date night unfortunately the food was not good. We order Mac and cheese ball appetizer that was frozen the first time in the center claw sent it back and got them cold in the center. Our waitress was attentive and did a good job but the food was not good. Maybe I have high expectations bc I eat at Ruth Chris and Fleming's but I was hopeful that we would have a decent meal. I'm disappointed and feel like I'm gonna spend a ton of money on a bad experience. I wouldn't recommend this place. I need to add that the manager was very nice and tried to make our visit right by adjusting our bill. This post is not at all about our server or her service- Came here on 8/31. We did have a rather large group but a friend called ahead and made reservations for 13 people. It ended up being 17, as unexpected people trickled in, but we let the hostess know to accommodate since we were waiting for other people to finish their meals. We were happy to wait and grab drinks as it was an unexpected inconvenience. We got seated at around 9:00 pm. When we were seated we were pleasantly greeted by our server who took our drink order and I made sure she was ok for us to have separate tickets. She said yes as long as we sat with our partner and she would keep it neat and organized. Perfect. Appetizers and drinks came out promptly and our server was well attentive even though we had such a large group. The problem was our entrees. 80% of our food wasn't good. Our top complaints, food came out cold, food came out burnt, and steak came out like beef jerky. I order my steak medium rare, I asked for my steak (bone in ribeye) to be more on the bloody side. Literally beef jerky. No pink. No blood. Just a steak with little flavor and tough as rocks. The manager that came by was apologetic, offered to take some money off my tab, forgot to take it off, and I went home hungry and hit up a Taco Bell and got better food. Needless to say, we didn't leave happy. I did get like $5 off my bill, tipped the waitress well as it wasn't her fault, but will never return. We didn't finish dinner until about 11pm that evening, big party I'll use that as an excuse. I get that it was later in the evening. I get that your cooks were probably tired but their service shouldn't slack at a place that advertises itself as a steakhouse. Went for dinner on May 30th. Worst meal ever! Ordered Filet Mignon and Lobster. I will say the Lobster was well prepared. The steak was very poor quality and tough and under cooked. The Brockley and Cheese was cold and the baked potato was cold. I went there for their Rack of Lamb which is normally very good. Not on the menu. Went to Outback since it was my five year old birthday and she picked Outback. I ordered the 11 ounce sirloin. The food came out in decent time. My steak lacked flavor and it was barely warm. I ordered my steak to be cooked to medium. This was not the normal steak Outback puts out. I never have to season a steak from here but for some reason my steak lacked flavor. The person who brought out our food had asked if we needed anything else. I did ask for one more loaf of bread but she never brought it out. I did like the cheese fries and my side salad. 2 1/2 stars for the steak and the lack of attention of the server who brought out our food. read more

Called first to be on the 7:00 waitlist the hostess turned out after an hour of waiting had us on for a table of seven that they were waiting for I finally went up to speak with her and she said I had you on for a table of seven when it was clearly just the two of us sitting there. We walk to the back they were plenty of booths and a table of seven was right there in front of us they sat us in the very back near a storage area. Then we waited another 10 min to get Menus a waitress and Waters! The manager of the restaurant completely lectured us when we didn't want to sit by the storage area and we took the booth and asked if we could sit there. Wasn't bad ! We got there the day after Christmas at 4 pm when they opened so we were seated right away. The food wasn't horrible but nothing to rave about. We did have to ask for refills more then once and asked 3 x for a box before my husband just got up and got one himself from the bar area. CON: Would have liked to give this location a 5 star review but the front desk was a 1. It was a Friday night & we called to see if we could get reservations or call ahead seating. We were told we could not because there were too many people on the list already so it would be about a 40 minute wait for a party of 2. We decided to try the Stockton location but we're sad to learn it has closed. 15 minutes after our phone call we arrived at the Modesto store & were seated IMMEDIATELY! There were many empty tables. Our server later told us it had been a slow night as the American graffiti event was going on downtown. When my wife was talking to the front desk on the phone they seemed very confused and really didn't know what was going on. She ended up talking to multiple people as they kept putting her on hold and then a new person would come on and we'd start all over again. When we left the restaurant my wife visited the ladies room which needed attention. She told the people at the front desk who just stared at her. A supervisor came up and said we will take care of it immediately and said "thank you." The front desk needs supervision and training!!! PRO: Our server KARRIE was the perfect server and made up for the disastrous front desk. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and everything you would want in a server. Even though I had to return my prime rib as it was way overcooked she quickly replaced it with a new one cooked exactly as I had ordered it. It was four dinner, got there a little before 7 PM, was asked fr my name for the order, he came back he couldn't find it and the manager, manager apologized for the inconvenience and looked at the conformation and would be back in a few minutes. He retook my order and would have it ready in 10 minutes. then e said something I did not expect for the inconvenience the dinners would be on the house. Came here for our anniversary dinner, our waiter was not the most attentive. Asked for coffee and some sugar substitute he threw a handful of items on the table. Forgot to check back on us and refill my coffee and Allen's tea. The food was great and delicious. But the waiter left a bit to be desired.
