I haven't been to the Olive garden in a while but the food was good like always. And the service was great

Great pasta, terrible meat and service resolution. I recently visited the Modesto location and ordered the Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo. While the pasta was fine, the steak pieces saved for the end were inedible, tough, and fatty. I alerted both the waitress and the hostess to the poor meat quality, but both seemed confused and offered no real solution. Because I was short on time, I let it go and left, but I won't be back. read more

It had been quite a while since I had eaten at Olive Garden as my travel patterns went from driving past the place to hardly ever getting over that way. That said, recently a friend who's birthday it was asked that we meet there for the lunch I had promised him. I was pleasantly surprised at the prompt seating, courteous approach of the staff, to the portions, quality of the meal and the "here's some to take home" approach Olive Garden now offers. Clearly they are trying to rebuild their brand locally and good fortune to them. They are back on my radar. The ambiance has improved, though it was good before. read more

Ordered food for curbside pick up. Wait was supposed to be 20 minutes. Turned in to 35. Called to ask if they were short staffed and if I should go inside to pick up my food. The hostess said she would get a manager for me and put me on hold. A manager never answered and my food finally got delivered. The prepackaged salad had old slimy lettuce. The Alfredo sauce was broken. And the chicken was overcooked and rubbery. Easy to do when it's pounded super thin to appear like you are getting more meat. Mashed potatoes were way over salted. Went to Olive Garden for my birthday and had such a great time! The atmosphere was super nice and cozy. Our waiter was amazing -- she kept checking on us and made sure we had everything we wanted. I love, love, Olive Garden. It's one of my favorite places to go to. I absolutely love their all you can eat salad and / or soup and bread sticks. My favorite drink is the rasberry lemonade, but today, I had their peach rasberry ice. It might be my new favorite drink. Pro tip. I always ask for a dish of extra tomatoes to add to my salad. You can ask for extra olives or whatever comes in the salad. It is all you can eat, you know, haha. It's very hard not to order the chicken fettuccine alfredo. It's my go-to. Love dipping the bread sticks in the alfredo sauce. Trust me on this advice. Save room for dessert. Olive garden desserts are all delicious. When it's in season, I love Pumpkin cheesecake. It's soooo good. Better then any other pumpkin cheesecake I had anywhere else. This night, we had tiramisu and strawberry cheesecake. Both were delicious. SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! OK? OK good. My friend and I came here around late afternoon and each got the buy one take one deals. It was delicious, and our server Nora was the best! She was very kind, funny, and was super fast and attentive. I just had to do something to compliment our server today! I believe he said his name was Randy. We had a big party of 9 to celebrate my sister's birthday today, she turned 74. Randy was very attentive and sweet, he must be in tune with his guests because as soon as we ran out of bread or salad he would walk up with more salad and bread. We had a very good time; the food was delicious and everyone was so kind! We will go back soon to try other things on the menu! So, it has been a while since my last review of Olive Garden. We dine here regularly, more for me than him. He always gets the spaghetti, because it is cheaper and they still give you a decent amount. He says it is not for the flavor. They could season it a bit more. So, he adds salt, pepper, and cheese to it. We both love the chicken gnocchi soup here! It is by far the best soup on the menu. When I overhear customers debating which soup to get, I want to tell them "Get the chicken gnocchi! You won't regret it!" We prefer to come for the lunch special. It is a smaller portion at about half the cost of the dinner. I almost always have the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp. Sometimes I will have ravioli with alfredo. Either way, it is an add on/extra charge (either for the shrimp or the sauce). The ravioli ususally comes with either marinara or meat sauce (I think). I wish they would give standard alfredo sauce as an option in more dishes. It is my favorite sauce of all! Service is always great with the servers we choose. I always ask who is serving first before we put our name down. Eric, Kaylie, Lexi, and Savon (hopefully I spelled everyone's name correctly), they are all amazing!! I'm happy to see them every time! The management is awesome too (Bob and Ben). One more person I always like greeting us is Doris. She is so sweet and friendly! There are a few others that I know I'm forgetting. Oops! I posted a photo of the wonderful job the kitchen did for our son's birthday. They actually wrote happy birthday in raspberry sauce! So sweet and thoughtful. Above and beyond in my book. Sometimes we order the chocolate "black tie mousse cake". It is so good, we forgot to take a photo first! You will see an empty plate in the photo. Lol! I would like to see Olive Garden's lemon cake come back. It was far superior to any other dessert they have. The black tie mousse cake is a close second. I love all those chocolate chips and chocolate ganache!! Yum!! My final suggestion: I used to have their email club, but it became more ads than coupons. Then no coupons at all, just ads! I don't understand it. I would hope they could revamp it and bring back at least a coupon every once in a while for loyal customers. It would bring us in more often. Summary: * more coupons needed * bring back lemon cake * have more dishes with standard alfredo * bring back the early dinner specials * customer service awesome! read more

They gave us the wrong plate which we had no problem with because they were so busy but then there was a bunch of hair in the plate, it was so disgusting to see because it wasn't just one piece it was more than one. Went to lunch yesterday with my daughter. We had a mommy daughter date and this is the restaurant she wanted to go to. We were seated right away in a cute little booth. It was perfect! Our waitress was very nice. She took our drink orders as soon as we sat down. Also gave us some of her recommendations. We decided to go with the lunch Fettuccine Alfredo add chicken. That came with unlimited breadsticks, soup or salad. So my daughter got the salad and I got the soup and we shared . Salad was great! My daughter got ranch on it instead of the Italian dressing. And we loved the chicken gnocchi soup! So yummy! The guy who brought our fettuccine out was also very friendly. He even cracked a couple jokes. I wish I got his name. He was awesome! As always the food was hot and delicious. I had ravioli carbonara for the first time and it was fantastic. The zuppa toscana soup appetizer was also fantastic. My wife had tiramisu and I had strawberry cream cake for desert, both kind of expensive but it was our wedding anniversary and we could afford it. We had 8yo and a 6yo grandchildren with us who got free sodas and shared our meals with us, no extra charge at all for them. We really love the OG and it never disappoints! read more

I used to love this place but not any more. I ordered a dish that was new to the menu. It had pasta,shrimp, and something that was supposed to be steak‍. Id like to start by saying the manager did the right thing and took my dish off our check. But im just not sure what that was?? Lab grown beef maybe. It had a purpleish color not pink at all it look like it was old or something. I tried to chew on a piece and almost threw up, so I spat it into a napkin. The waitress offered to bring me more so I agreed to try again.. she brought more of the same weird shaped,an colored substance. It really just ruined my appetite so I told her and she had her manager come speak with me. I showed him the meat an asked if it could be old... he said he wasn't sure but he would go talk to his kitchen staff and have them rotate the meat stock. My sister took us to Olive Garden in Hayward, for me I haven't been in quite some time. There was 4 of us we all ordered different dishes I got to say none of us enjoyed the meal. There was hardly any dressing on the salad. The waitress was good but the food was not. The chicken on my wife's Alfredo was weird in that it was just weird same with my brother in laws chicken. Walked into the restaurant for lunch. The lobby smelled like Fabulosa cleaning solution. It was overpowering. I don't know if that's an attempt to make you feel like it's clean, but it made me feel like they were covering up some other kind of weird smell. Our salad was overdressed, just swimming in dressing. Soup was watery. It was like they added liquid to make it go further. And ravioli did not have enough sauce. Our waitress was OK. This review is solely based on JONAH THE MANAGER! I had surgery this morning and decided to order take out for kids and I. We got home and my 4 year olds kid meal was wrong. I ordered chicken Alfredo with broccoli and instead I received a chicken with marinara meat sauce. My son does not like marinara and wouldn't eat it. I called Olive Garden frustrated explaining how order was wrong etc. Jonah pulled my order up and seen it was definitely made wrong. He immediately apologized told me he would make a new kids meal for my son and also even give me a gift card for having to drive back which was bout ten minutes away from. This was an argument over text messaging and I swear the driver drive by and saw me standing on the sidewalk because he said I looked "healthy " when I told him I was outside because he said he was having a hard time finding my house and was over an hour late and when I told him I was going to complain only then did he begged me not to and suddenly said he was coming to deliver but was in Oakdale. Was in Modesto for a track meet & my kids request pasta nights before a meet. Ordered from them Friday & they forgot silverware for 4 meals that I didn't realize until I got back to the hotel but luckily they had some at the front desk so it wasn't a big deal. Well I ordered from them Saturday & they were missing a meal & again no silverware. . Unfortunately my husband picked it up this time & didn't check the bag until he got back to the hotel & just our luck the front desk ran out of silverware so we had to go to the store to buy some. I called the restaurant back 3x to get my money back for the missing meal & got put on hold 3x with nobody picking back up so never got my refund. One of our other parents picked up from the same Olive Garden & got 2 free meals he didn't order but unfortunately it wasn't something my kids eat but sad someone else was missing their food. Best Olive Garden I've ever been to. It was my first time going to this Olive Garden. My boyfriend and I ordered the calamari for our appetizer. I got the salad and shrimp Alfredo but asked for angel hair instead of fettuccine. My boyfriend got the fagioli soup. He also got the seafood Alfredo.
