Terrible! We waited a very long time to get our orders in. I ordered a peach margarita and it did not taste anything like it. It was very bitter and tasted like bad water. The plain margarita replacement that I got was much better. However these came in a regular water glass full of ice, so not your typical margarita order... the steak, loaded potato, and crab Mac n cheese were all on point. Our table was dirty when we first arrived and the though they wiped it down, there was still food on the edge of the table by the wall. They need to do a really good wipe of things before passing the table to the next person. We could hear them accidentally break a whole tray full of glass exiting the kitchen and had to wonder if it was our food. We spent a good portion of our time waiting for someone to let us pay the bill. I would be concerned about cleanliness and timeliness if I went here again. Outback Steakhouse is bloomin' just like their onions! Impressed with the new menu items. I haven't been here in a while and decided to stop by on a Sunday. They have lots of great drink options now. Like the pina koala. The new items seemed to have an elevated feel to them. Not your typical chain restaurant feel. Staff was great. Our waitress was actually the manager. Loved that she was helping out in the bar area. She was really informative and kept checking in. Steakhouse salad was great had a nice twist with the brown sugar pecans and the blue cheese vinaigrette. The steak was on the chewier side though. The center cut sirloin was definitely a better cut and it was cooked to my liking. Cesar salad and French fries were the perfect sides. I'll be back and this time I won't wait so long! read more

Pro: We visited the Modesto Outback while here to celebrate some family accomplishments. I called and had no problem reserving a table for 13. The hostess was awesome and took care of everything. Perfect! Love the ease and willingness to take on such a large party. Con: we got there for our reservation and ended up waiting 20mins past the time, and ended up at a table that was really too small for our group. But we love each other so we all squished together and made it work. No biggie. Food: Everyone loved their food. Bread came out right away, the blooming onions were brought out quickly. The only complaint was about a really fatty cut of the rib eye. But they still loved the flavor. The waiter: OMG! Best waiter ever. If there was ever a server you could request I would say always ask for Anthony M. He was super attentive, he recognized the special occasions we were there for, he was constantly checking on us and refilling drinks. Brought out ice cream for all the kids! Our second experience was above and beyond! Our server, meeting the managers, and the FOOD, were all on point! Three days later, and we're STILL talking about that meal. Mine was simple a Bone In Ribeye (Medium), baked potato loaded with an extra sour cream and house salad with honey mustard dressing. No extra sour cream. The toppings for the baked potato didn't taste fresh. The ribeye had no flavor (I had to add a dry rub to give it flavor) and it was dry cooked to medium as requested. More like medium well. Trying to cut with a steak knife was like cutting leather. Not what I expected from a $36.29 Bone in Ribeye. This was a $94 dinner for 2 dinners that wasn't worth more than $30. You can count on this place for a decent steak, the sides are great and the service is usually good. We usually try to snag one of the booths at the bar, for faster service and not have to wait to be seated. They always have pretty yummy cocktails too. They are great for larger parties, we have celebrated many occasions here and have always left happy. Honestly, this place is a classic and I always love going here but I came here with my family yesterday and the service was beyond horrible. I get being busy but that doesn't mean your brain should stop working. Service was terrible. My drink that I ordered didn't even look like the picture and I've ordered it multiple times and it didn't taste like it usually does either appetizers came out. Bread came out all our food came out at the same time way to overwhelm somebody they tried to see us somewhere that was horrible. My steak was overcooked and the server was incompetent.
