Came here after picking up a friend from the airport. She suggested we go to Outback. I have not been to one in over 10 years and was skeptical. Pattie was our server and she was sensational. Helped pick out amazing recommendations, which is a plus for me personally because I had avoided Outback because it had become bland. I got the bone in strip steak and it was cooked a perfect medium. The Foster's beer was ok, but when at Outback take that fake Aussie beer without question. I will definitely be back and ONLY sit it Pattie's section. I went to the Rochelle Park Outback on 3/18/23, not a good time. Our server was nice, and that's the only good news I have to share. Another server got into it with a guest at another table. She walked away saying "I'm f*cking quitting tonight". She also seemed to have a problem with the kitchen staff. She yelled at them saying "don't give me your attitude tonight! I'm the one paying you!" We were sat right by the kitchen entrance so we heard and saw the entire encounter and it really killed our vibe. As if that wasn't bad enough, the steak I ordered was 80% fat. When i was done there was a pile of fat sitting on my plate. The most exciting part of my time there was getting the check so I could pay and finally leave. I've already reached out to outback via their website and have received no response. My sole mate is feeling the blues, what can I do? How about hooking them up with a meal they been craving, Ya, lets do Outback, since she always wanted to try that Blooming Onion, and me too. I go online and see they have a order link menu where you can sign up for and It was easy to use. They give you all these options on whatever you pick, like for the steak they have seasoning option and like 10 cooking options with about 4 or 5 medium ones alone. From a red center to pink, and then brown. Then you can have steam or grilled lobster. Salads with dozen different dressings but French, You can have the fries with you burger or add a dozen different sides, cheeses, bacon, shrimps just like the steak, They ask about my car so they can walk it to me. I hit submit button and they tell me to pick up the order in 20 minutes which is perfect since it's like a 15, 20 minute drive for me anyway. Well I get to where I think the place is because the Yelp map shows it in the next town. I get there and do my Yelp Check-in but Yelp says ' I AM TO FAR ', which is BS cause just look at my photos I says Outback in Rochelle Park, not Paramus NJ. Anyway they have a next to the main entrance another door that has a Takeaway sign. Now since I said I will pay when I get there I go inside and I see they just did my order, I pay the nice and friendly cashier who patiently listen to my map compliant and off I go back home. Well I open the styrofoam containers and the food is wrapped in aluminum foil and it's not pretty, not photogenic, Duh, it's just like me, so who cares, it's going to be the surprise that counts. I bring her, the steak and lobster with baked sweet potato that has honey butter, brown sugar and a touch of cinnamon, my burger comes with fires and the Blooming Onion, all this on plates to make it look nicer. Her eyes light up and her hunch back straightens up when she see me and the food, OK when she see the food and the onion. We start cutting up the our meal and feed each other bites so we know how each other's plate taste like. The steak is perfectly seasoned and cook exactly the way she likes and I the way I asked for and wanted. The lobster is tender. We got bread, butter, lemon, sauces too. My burger is delicious with cheese and bacon on a grilled bun with the tasty Outback sauce that is a little tangy, yum,yum yum. The only disappointment was that Blooming Onion that came with more Outback sauce, It looks crispy but is not, I was thinking it was going to be like fried onion rings but it just a brown bread coating on a cooked onion, and its real soft, blah. Oh but this meal was good anyway and worth it, got to try the baby back ribs next time and soon. As for my feeling down sole mate, well she dogged the plate, she is happy now and smiling, but she needs a nap because she is all stuffed like a fat cat, and I'm happy too because I did the right thing, yeah!!! read more

I always have the best experience at this location! Tonight I had a server by the name of Melanie W. And she was a total SWEET HEART! She was very attentive and kept checking in on us. One of the better, affordable steakhouse chains in the area. Much better than Longhorn. More menu options with more personality. I come here for the bloomin' onion and the steaks. The good thing about chains are that the food is pretty consistent even if it is frozen and mass transported to each location. Regardless, the steaks aren't bad and I don't know if they are actually frozen or fresh. Probably the former but who cares. The bloomin' onion is the #1 appetizer even though it's like 2000 calories I have to get it every time I come here (and immediately regret it afterwards). But seriously, it's amazing. Even for people who don't like onions. But then again, anything deep fried is delicious. I like Outback because the prices for steak are reasonable and the bloomin' onion is awesome and nowhere else has it. Service has always been very attentive every time I've been here. Maybe they were having an off day. I've been going to this Outback for years since they opened here, but I''ve noticed things have changed there in the past two years, including the changing of the Outback Special...from one size to three sizes. Last nights visit was not good: The usually cold and crispy salad was not either, the 9 oz. Special was brought to the table as a chunk of meat with a vein or something running through it. Sent it back. The second piece of steak was only slightly better. This is not the norm for Outback but this is the second time I have not been satisfied at this location. Hadn't been to an Outback in years. Enjoyed a nice dinner here with friends last night after our son's basketball game nearby. I kept it simple - Bone-in Rib-Eye, medium rare, baked potato and steamed broccoli. No fancy gravy or bacon this-n-thats. Bam! Everything came out as expected - and yes the steak was medium-rare. I went in on a Saturday at 7:30pm with my wife and in-laws. The staff is clearly inexperienced. My father-in-law orders a 12oz. ribeye, well done. I ordered the same cut, medium. My steak comes out medium but cold. My father-in-law's steak was nice and hot. I try to explain this to the waiter, but then I received a well done, rubbery piece of meat with way too much juice on the plate, stale mashed potatoes, and unappetizing asparagus. I know it's casual dining, but I've been to a few Outback's and the steaks have been much better. This is a bunch of high school kids who don't give a shit about customer experience. We had to ask 3 times for silverware and plates. We ended up eating our bread out of our hands. Very dissatisfied and won't go to Outback again. I should've known better. Well I've been given these restaurants so many chances in the last few weeks obviously as you can see by my reviews this is going to be another place that's going to go to be hit very hard. I had ordered out and started to pick up for myself because I can't trust Uber at all. No one ever delivers properly the food is called so I went there for myself. I got their staff was very friendly but when I got home not only was the food not cooked it was raw. I had gotten three steaks and they were all to the point where I'm surprised I didn't get food poisoning. I had them remake the steaks and they kindly enough to deliver them to the house those were well done completely. I'm not thrilled with my experience it's a shame to see how bad the effects pandemic on these local businesses. Not going to order here for a while. I probably just received the worst steak I've ever had. Really disappointed with Outback because they're normally pretty good. I ordered an 8 ounce sirloin medium rare. It came so charred on the outside I couldn't even get a knife through it. Only the super super middle center was medium rare. I am an avid outback person for one reason - their Kookaburra wings. Always get them without the bread crumbs and hot. First off I felt discriminated against. I was utterly disappointed and displeased from my experience at Outback Steakhouse in Rochelle Park. I frequently dine at this one branch of Outback Steakhouse and the service has always been great! The servers have been amazing and the food has been just as good. It wasn't until tonight where my opinion of this establishment changed drastically. I had brought my sister in law from Singapore to dine with us that night. Our waiter took our order but after that he refused to serve us. Our server's name was Jaelyn or Jaelin and he served all his other tables fine. They asked them how their food was and gave them refills but he kept disregarding us as we tried to get his attention. Our food came very late and he got our 2 of the orders wrong and never apologized. He messed up my entree and didn't put in our appetizer. When we finished our soup he didn't clean up our table until the manager brought the food to us. As soon as the manager brought the entree out I already knew something was wrong. I'm allergic to shrimp so I asked for the shrimp to be separated from the pasta previously. What they did to "solve it" was to bring the dish back inside and wash the pasta and brought it back outside with shrimp on a separate plate. I took one bite of it and I can taste the shrimp. I had to take allergy medication immediately and I was frustrated. After that, the manager had to find another server to finish serving us. We had no idea what was going on tonight and we've definitely never had this type of experience dining at Outback Steakhouse before. As we finished up our meal, my sister in law asked me: "this is the type of service you get in America?!" I had no response... Outback Steakhouse needs to get to the bottom of this. Not only have I eaten the food here, but also worked here as server, takeaway, and bartender. Horrible place to work at, they will soon take advantage of the good employees. They can care less about there employees that are pretty much running the restaurant (because if it wasn't for the staff this place would be out of business), and if your sick they demand that you still have to come work even during a pandemic (but if your sick enough that's when they send you home). This review is for takeout service. 2 stars because we placed a large tskeout order (8 people) and when we got home, 2 of the main entries were missing food. I have been ordering from this Outback location for sometime now and it's always a hit and miss MOSTLY a miss! When I spend my hard earned money on big orders over $100+ they always mess up my order for delivery! I called on 10/15/2022 and spoke with a manager who did not provide his name I called at 7:40pm I explained to him that my orders where incorrect he advised that this always happens and he advised me well what do you want me to do and suggested that I drive over there and bring the orders back and they will remake it. I told him I'm not able to drive over there that's why I did delivery directly from OUTBACK website! He then said there was nothing else he can do! Usually they're on point with the food. I love going to Outback because who doesn't love a good cut of steak and a baked potato once in a while. Their drinks are very good too. Anyways we came to eat here today (Easter Sunday) and the service was sub-par. Our waitresses didn't bother to come to the table after we got our table. We were also missing utensils. We needed refills on our drinks and we literally had to flag her down. She also didn't seem to be interested in making us happy. Mind you, the restaurant was pretty empty despite it being a holiday and we were seated immediately when we came, so it being busy was not a factor. On another note, the booth we sat at was pretty beaten up and had duct tape in order to seal together the rips. I'm pretty sure a chain restaurant has the funds to fix a booth. It makes a good impression and helps the place to not look tacky. I hope the next time we come service would have improved. read more

The place is pretty good for what the offer; from steak (obviously) to tacos, chicken sandwiches, burgers, salad, pasta, it's all good. Fast service for the most part, and they will make accommodations. Sometimes an order may get screwed up here or there, but it's a good place. Today, we stopped at this one for lunch because it was in between running errands. I must say, Holly P was one of the best waitresses we have EVER had anywhere! This place was so disappointing. The blooming onion ordered was greasy, oil riddled and had absolutely No crunch at all. The coconut shrimp were nearly unrecognizable with all the shreds of overcooked coconut covering the softly fried shrimp. I've eaten there many times and the food has been satisfactory.
