Went to happy hour at Zina's Steakhouse on a Tuesday. It's a pretty large restaurant, with a large parking lot which is convenient. Happy hour is only for the bar area, but fortunately, they also have some tables on the bar side. We were seated quickly, and given the bar menu. We ordered the wings, salmon tempura roll, sliders, mac and cheese, and calamari. The salmon tempura roll was surprisingly good, as were the sliders. The mac and cheese was creamy with a nice crunch from the bread crumbs. The wings were standard from Restaurant Depot, as was the calamari. I got to try the white sangria and my wife had a few of their cocktails. At $8 per drink happy hour is definitely worth it.

First time here, and most likely not the last. Service was great and on point. Everyone was really friendly. Tonight they had live Albanian music and was good. The singers were awesome. Food, drinks and service were awesome! Enjoyed our time out. Hopefully, we can make it to one of their Salsa night!

Welcome to home away from home!

Poor Service & Lack of Preparation During Peak Hours Complimentary bread has always been provided here, but none was served tonight. When I asked about it at 6:50 PM--right during peak dinner hours--the staff simply claimed they ran out because of the holiday. If it is a busy holiday, management should properly prepare sufficient inventory. 2. Discrepancy Between Menu Prices and Actual Bill The prices charged on our final bill did not match the prices listed on the menu. Overcharging customers without prior notice is deceptive and unacceptable. 3. Violation of NJ Credit Card Surcharge Notice Laws Under New Jersey law, businesses charging different prices for cash versus credit cards must clearly display the surcharge fees on both the menu and visible signage near the entrance/register. This restaurant had zero notices displayed, yet applied differential charges arbitrarily. 4. Unauthorized 20% Auto-Gratuity on a Party of 4 We were a small party of four. Despite not meeting any standard large-party threshold, the restaurant added a mandatory 20% tip to our bill without consent or prior warning, using the "holiday" as an excuse. Forcing an automatic tip on a 4-person table without agreement is fraudulent. No matter how the food tastes, operating a business by deceiving customers and violating state regulations is unacceptable. I will never come back to this establishment.

My wife and I have frequented Houston's over 120 times since they opened in 1996. While prices have naturally gone up over the years, the quality of the food and service has remained consistently strong. Overall, it's a restaurant we've thoroughly enjoyed visiting every few months. Recently, my siblings and I took our 86-year-old mother there to celebrate her birthday. While the meal was good overall, we ran into a few minor hiccups. I was going to chalk it up to an off day and move on, but the restaurant sent me a post-dining feedback survey, so I filled it out honestly. To my absolute surprise, I received the following response from Jessica Treadway in Guest Services: "We are in receipt of your recent Wisely review which prompted a review of your previous comments. While we understand you dine frequently, it seems you are often under the impression that we have missed the mark in one capacity or another. This is unfortunate as our goal is always to exceed our guests' expectations. In relation to your most recent comment, we always cut our burgers in half unless our guests request otherwise. That said, given the frequency of your displeasure, we believe it is best if you find alternative dining arrangements moving forward. We are in the business of providing excellent food and service to those who appreciate what we offer, and it is clear our restaurant is not in line with your dining preferences. Thank you for your time, and we wish you well." Needless to say, telling a loyal customer of nearly 30 years to "find alternative dining arrangements" simply for providing constructive feedback on a survey is an astonishing approach to customer service. Subsequent attempts to reach Hillstone management went unanswered (despite receiving email read receipts). It is incredibly disappointing to be treated this way after decades of support. If you visit Houston's, you will likely get a good meal--just be aware that if they ask for your feedback on a survey, you might want to keep it to yourself.

While there isn't exactly an Argentine neighborhood in New Jersey, many great restaurants are…read morelocated in the northern part of the state. Argentine cuisine is a blend of influences from the Italian and Spanish immigrants with its chief national product, beef. They say the reason Argentine steak is so good is that its cattle graze on the country's plentiful pampas grass, rather than being grain-fed as American cattle are. The result is leaner, more flavorful, and more nutritious beef. One such establishment is on Moonachie Road in Moonachie, where my partners, our friends and I decided on Saturday dinner. Reservations were easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this cozy, modern interior of Tango Steak as first-timers, we were greeted by the host and got a table right away. We were here 3 years ago when it was El Tango Argentina Grill. The vibe has completely changed. It's now darker and louder, not family-friendly. Music was at a decent volume and does seem to increase as it gets later, giving it a lounge type. As an appetizer, we started with Beef and Chicken Empanadas as well as Calamares (Calamari). For our main meal, we decided on the Extrana (Skirt Steak) with Mashed Potatoes & Chimichurri Sauce and Tango Burger accompanied with Fries. Food was good, not awesome. Our appetizers were tasty and well seasoned. The Skirt Steaks tasted fantastic with the Chimichurri Sauce. The Mashed Potatoes had a nice texture. However, some of us asked that their Tango Burgers be made medium but came out well done. The Fries were salty and very dry. Our service was horrendous, but our server was Nathaly who was accommodating and apologetic. Some of us had gotten their appetizer faster than others. The duration between our appetizers and the main meal was an hour. The food was not cheap given the portions received and the 20% gratuity added automatically to the bill. With insult to injury, their valet attendant charged $5. Definitely not what we expected, which is why we sadly can't recommend this place.

It wasn't that I didn't have a good meal; I just wasn't blown away. The space is very elegant, making it a great choice for a date or special event. Service was impeccable, befitting the price level. We were treated like regulars, despite never having been there before. So, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable dinner. So, as I said, my companions really loved their meals, including a perfectly cooked Filet Mignon. My wife declared her Shrimp Scampi to be one of the best she's had. I started with an ok Shrimp Cocktail. For the price I expected either larger shrimp or more of them. Still it was good. I then had the Veal Chop with a Lobster Tail on the side. The chop was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. It was good, but I didn't find myself "swooning" over it. The lobster tail was maybe a bit overcooked and not as sweet as I'm used to; probably warm water. Desserts were very good; Pecan Pie, Cheesecake, and Creme Brulé. Entrees were of a size that left us with just enough room for dessert, and then we were stuffed.

Best corn tamale ( topped with fried pork (chicharron) and criolla) ever. So fresh, soft and flavorful The steamed yucca bathed in garlicky mojo sauce was cooked perfectly and every bite delectable. Empanadas may be small but very flavorful; I had the oxtail and the spinach with manchego cheese. Sooo good. Can't wait to try the brie with mushroom. The only item that fell flat for me was the chicken wings tossed in Cilantro and lime mojo. Needed more cilantro & lime!!! ( it also comes in a Spicy mango habanero sauce) Dessert menu sounds really good. Looking forward to eating here again. Highly recommended.
