My second time visiting this time I sat at the dining area and every thing was just perfect it was a Friday night they had live music the place is dim and cozy very beautiful atmosphere. The server was very nice and friendly. We started with the spicy tuna crispy rice was delicious for the entree I had the Chilean Sea Bass and wow wow wow! Amazing he had one of the steak can't remember which one lol but it was delicious for sides we had the Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes all delicious Finished it with the very popular Banana Foster Butter cake unbelievable delicious soft on the inside perfect crunch on the outside sweet but delicious definitely coming back.
This is the special occasion place for Paterson, Garfield and Lodi. So the steak is the best in the mall. The sides not that great. Tried the filet, New York stip and the rib eye. All were cooked as asked and seasoned well. The potato au gratin was potato in cheese soup. Not worth the price.
Went here for happy hour. The food was very good, the service could have been better at the bar. The ambiance is great and we definitely came too early. A band starts everyday at 6:30 which I was about to leave at that time. Will be going back next time and for the incredible beat salad. The filet sliders were delicious also!
This place has been on my list for a while. We were shopping at the mall and decided to take a chance. It was the best decision. All the food was excellent our waiter was so attentive and caring. She was the best. Our meat, soup and drinks were awesome. My Hope diamond was pretty and delicious. We received the banana foster complimentary of the house. There was a band playing Christmas music. I will be back. It was worth every penny.
My husband and I met another couple here for dinner since it was a convenient midpoint for both of us. I had visited previously with some girlfriends and was excited for my husband to experience it as well, especially because we both love seafood. The front-of-house staff was welcoming and seated us very quickly. Our waitress was outstanding--you could tell she was committed to ensuring we had an exceptional experience. She checked on us consistently, was warm and professional. I ordered the Chilean sea bass served over sautéed spinach with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. Both were superb--the flavor, texture, and overall presentation. For dessert, my husband and I shared the Bananas Foster Butter Cake with pecan ice cream and whipped cream, complete with the tableside flame presentation. During the meal, I enjoyed a glass of Sancerre (a favorite of mine).. I would definitely return--perhaps a bit hungrier--to explore even more of the menu. My only very slight critique is food temperature; although everything was absolutely delicious, it could have been served just a touch warmer. Still, the quality, service, and atmosphere make Eddie V's Prime Seafood a restaurant I highly recommend. Again. This place delivers. The staff is super attentive. The food is delicious and the vibe is excellent with live jazz music playing after 6:30. You can also pop in for happy hour from 4 to 6:30 and enjoy a small bite at a better price. Either way excellent;) the Chilean Seabass is my favorite.
Fantastic hospitality, surprisingly lively environment and a really, realllly nice, upscale experience, but the entrees and service wait fell a bit short for me. Our family came here to celebrate my wife and my wedding anniversary and we were definitely looking forward to the experience. We made a reservation for 5:30pm on a Sunday and, much to our surprise, the restaurant was verrrrry busy. Typically, Bergen County is pretty quiet on Sundays, especially in the evening with the work week about to start, but you'd never know it at Eddie V's. We were seated promptly and greeted with a nicely decorated table with rose pedals to mark our occasion. In addition, there was a happy anniversary card on the table too. Definitely all pluses and wouldn't have expected anything less from Eddie V's. We had already done our research ahead of time on what were going to eat so we were primed and ready to go! .... EXCEPT the fact that the service was as slow as a snail. Don't get me wrong, our waiter was moving quite fast, but he was repeatedly tending to other tables so we had to wait for what felt like forever for him to come back every time we were ready to proceed - whether it was to order drinks, order food, have our plates taken away or get the check. More on this later. As for what we ordered, we absolutely didn't hold back since it was a special night for us. We ordered the following: JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKE - Absolutely a very good crab cake. Lots of super fresh crab lumped together nicely and, more importantly, lots of flavor. POINT JUDITH CALAMARI - Probably our favorite dish of the evening. The calamari was super duper crispy and the sauce was mmmm mmmmm perfect for this. Initially, we were on the fence about ordering this because it was finished with a red chili ginger soy sauce, which wouldn't bode well for our 2 toddlers, but, the sauce was actually quite sweet and delicious. It DID have the slightest of kicks to it so if you plan on sharing it with the kids, you can tell them to drizzle the sauce on part of the appetizer instead. 10OZ FILET MIGNON AND 5OZ ROASTED SOUTH AFRICAN LOBSTER - Filet mignon + 2 lobster tails, need I say more? The steak was good, but the best I've had? No. I felt it was a littttttle dry and chewy, but this was my wife's entree and she loved it. I also felt that the lobster tail was a bit on the overcooked side and was in desperate need of some butter. CHILEAN SEA BASS - Growing up in a Chinese household, I had quite a bit of experience devouring Chilean sea bass since my mother cooked it quite frequently. Personally, the presentation of the sea bass on the sauteed spinach was great here, but the sea bass was a bit bland for me. It definitely needed the light sherry soy broth, EXCEPT the fact that the broth was too salty. I typically love salty foods, but even this was too, too salty for my tastebuds. For $53, I really wanted to love it, but the saltiness of the broth was hard to swallow for me. CRAB FRIED RICE AU GRATIN CHEDDAR POTATOES - First, these 2 sides were humongous! They easily could have been their own entrees. The fried rice was typical fried rice, except, ONCE AGAIN, it was a bit too salty. The cheddar potatoes were extremely cheesy. So much so that I felt it dominated too much of the dish. GRILLED CHICKEN W FRESH FRUIT PLATE, STEAMED ASPARAGUS, ICE CREAM W COOKIES - For our kids, we tried to order something a bit on the healthier side - the grilled chicken with asparagus and, as you can imagine, it was quite plain. Not much to say about this except that it's what you would expect for grilled chicken. BANANAS FOSTER BUTTER CAKE - Lastly, we ended the evening with this. I loveeeeeed it. It was definitely sweet and maybe more sweetness than most can handle, but I couldn't stop eating it with the creamy butter pecan ice cream. Also, it was quite rich in rum so if you don't take well to alcohol, this can hit pretty hard. Even though some of the food was disappointing, specifically around the oversalting, we still very much enjoyed our time here. Of course we wish that the food was more inviting and that we didn't have to spend 2.5 hours dining here with our 2 toddlers, but, nevertheless the staff was very friendly and the environment was perfect for our occasion. Docking 2 stars due to the lack of timely service and saltiness of the food, however, Eddie V's definitely has the potential to be 5 stars in my opinion. P.S. If there is a dress code, you wouldn't know by looking at the crowd. Customers wore sneakers, sweaters, t-shirts, so if you don't feel like dressing up to come here, there isn't a need to. Although, it's probably best to at least clean yourself up and look somewhat presentable and not like you're headed to the gym.
3.5 stars. I came for Thanksgiving dinner as there was a change in plans. As a solo diner, I decided to take a seat at the bar and it was the best decision as they had a phenomenal three-piece jazz band playing that was a wonderful departure from the already tiresome holiday music being played all around. I arrived to an almost empty bar and while I was greeted in a decent amount of time, it took almost 30 minutes for them to bring out their bread which thankfully was absolutely wonderful but still. For my entrée I went with the bone in New York Strip and the extra three scallop accompaniment along with a side of au gratin potatoes. The taste of everything was very good however my steak was more medium than medium rare however it wasn't that big of a deal to send it back but it's worth noting when spending almost $70 for a piece of meat. The scallops were well seasoned and cooked well and the potatoes were tasty but it could have used more creaminess as the cheese really firmed up and it was too thick as the meal went on. I was too full to order dessert although the bananas foster was something I would have loved to try.

Everything was excellent, service, live music on Saturday night, food was outstanding Wife had a crabcake which was big and meaty, then the beet salad. I started with the spicy tuna over crispy sushi rice, lobster bisque, twin lobster tails and crab fried rice. ZERO complaints. It was expensive, but worth it. read more

Definitely on the pricier side, but at least the food delivers. The highlight for me was the SRF gold grade wagyu--something you don't see on every menu, and it actually lives up to the hype. That said, the vibe leans loud and a bit chaotic (mall energy is real here). The staff are clearly well trained and hustling, but they're stretched thin, so expect a few small misses in service. Nothing major, just not seamless. Overall, you're paying a premium, but the kitchen earns it. Just don't come expecting a quiet, polished dining experience. read more
I am absolutely obsessed with this place. From the service, to the drinks, to the meals, to the amazing vibes our private party had. WOW. We came here for a private birthday party and got a room in the back for just our party. Once we were sat the server took drink orders without having to wait for everyone to be there, they gave us complimentary bread as we waiting for everyone to come in and settle down. Then we got our appetizers, the shellfish tower, the meat, the shrimps, the crab cakes. Then we had salads and soups and got the lobster bisque, the Caesar salad, the wedge chopped with bacon, and all of it was so amazing, I was stuffed by this point but we were just getting started. The filet mignon was by far the best steak made there, but the Ny strip was also really good. The Mac and cheese was the best side ever, but the rice was also good and so was the asparagus. For dessert the bananas foster was the absolute best but the other desserts (chocolate lava cake and creme brulee were also amazing) All in all this was the best night with the best friends and the best food, the drinks were also always good and the servers kept them coming. It was a bit pricey but it was worth every penny. read more

Solid 4.5 Lovely place with a nice atmosphere. Crab cakes were delicious, steak tartare lacked a bit more zing but still okay. Ribeye was cooked perfectly, nice char. Sea bass was amazing!! Buttery and flavorful. Nice spot in NJ for a chill, special occasion. Polished but not pretentious. read more

Best food, ambience, service hands down. Reasonable valet cost, entrance gorgeous, cleanliness was great, bread was hot and butter was delicious. Can't speak for everything on the menu but for on my experience on what I did have was a top notch experience. Golden hour cocktail Sweetness due to the pineapple juice but balanced Hint of strawberry flavor although guava is listed, its nice splash of all the flavors combined. 24k cocktail Rose gives it a bubbly sensation, the peach is hidden, don't feel the strength of the grand marnier but pretty sure it will creep up later. Crab cake : was creamy but flakey with a nice balance of a light crust on top and compliments well the remoulade sauce, fascinating flavors Crab fried rice : Delicious, a nice portion for 2 but I eat for 2 sooo, topped with a hefty amount of crab on top. I've eaten a lot of fried rice from a lot of different Asian and Japanese cuisines b4 but this place hands down serves up the best. Lobster mash potatoes: whipped perfectly, smoothe, taste was magnificent. I dont know how this place has existed and it's taken me so long to experience it. read more

Wow, wow, wow! Where to begin! My husband and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for sometime now. What a better day than Valentine's Day! Our experience at Eddie V's was above our expectations. Our server was Luis (I've attached his card) who gave us exceptional service from start to finish. Our menu highlights have to be the Parmesean sole, the butter poached lobster mashed potatoes and the crab fried rice. My shrimp cocktail came with all the condiments for me to make the perfect sauce which I loved! (I love horseradish and never think they add enough!) Our spread was too good which, sadly, made us too full for dessert. Luis was kind of enough to still bring us out two chocolate dipped strawberries, which little did he know is my absolute favorite! From the thought that goes into how the food is displayed on the table, to the ambience and beautifully designed dining room and bar, to the beyond exceptional service, I have not a single complaint. Thank you so much to Luis for making our Valentine's Day dinner so memorable! We will be back!! (The tableside flambéd Bananas Foster is all I could think about since we left!) read more

From the get go we were impressed First, they asked us before we were seated, if we were there for any reason, we mentioned we were celebrating anniversary. When we were seated the table was decorated with fresh rose petals and a card. Our waitress Brandy was wonderful Our salads were very good But it was our steaks that impressed us, with mash potatoes and asparagus. We both looked at each other when we took our bites with joy. We come from the college of Peter Lugers. So, it takes a lot for us to be impressed with Jersey steaks. We enjoyed this place! Our waiter Richard was informative, enthusiastic, and really seemed to like his job. He gave good recommendations and we enjoyed his service. Our drinks were great and I loved my burrata salad and my husband liked his wedge salad. The shrimp was good. Our steaks were also very good. I especially liked the dipping sauce for the lobster. The only thing I was not crazy about was the siracha brussel sprouts. All in all it was a very good meal and we enjoyed the experience. Place was also well decorated and ambiance was nice, We will definitely go back. read more
Update 8/20/24 Vincent was our waiter and Pablo brought our plates. They were both so friendly, cheerful and attentive. Yellowfin Sashimi, Amuse Bouche (we wished it was on the menu!), Ahi Tuna and Parmesan Sole were all amazing dishes. Au Gratin was oozing cheese and delicious, hubby love all the oozing cheese but I don't usually like Au gratin but this I would get again lol. The crab fried rice is really good but it's just to salty, wonder if they can use low sodium soy? read more

Came here for happy hour. We sat in the bar area and went at 4pm. The place was empty at this time but it is because we went as soon as it opened. Our waitress Jamie was a joy too have she decorated the table and gave me a hand written card and rose for my birthday. We had the lamb chops, filet mignon sliders and calamari. Perfect portions for the two of us. The food was excellent a little pricey but it is very upscale. I had the cosmopolitan and the 24 carat to drink both served table side and nice and cold. Loved the 24 carat with the sugar rim and touch of champagne (among other ingredients). The bar area was nice and dark good for meeting with friends or having a romantic dinner. We were both very happy and like I said Jamie was an excellent waitress that just made my birthday that extra special. read more

What an amazing first time experience! It was my husbands birthday and I listed that on the reservation. When we walked to our table, to our surprise, we were greeted with a happy birthday card and confetti on the table. What a sweet and thoughtful gesture. Alex was our waiter and he was thoughtful, attentive, and well educated on the menu and recommendations. The food itself was immaculate, and we ordered a lot too. 3 apps, 2 entrees, 2 sides, and dessert lol. Every item was flavorful and seasoned greatly. Ambiance was great with a live singer too. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and we will be definitely coming back. Highly recommend. Thank you Eddie V's so much for a wonderful evening! read more

Eddie V have a special brunch menu for Easter week. Brunch menu includes apple scones, appetizer and entree. Loved the lobster bisque soup, creamy with huge pieces of lobster. For entree got the lobster quiche Florentine. Loved the greens on the plate with apple slices. The poached egg with lobster and spinach was okay, I didn't fond it as interesting. Service was great. Our table was available right away as we had reserved. A lot of guests showed up around noon. Food came out really quickly, didn't have to wait long. read more
I dined with you the Saturday before Mothers Day. I reserved a 4:45pm reservation on OpenTable which I'm so thankful for. The restaurant provided Valet parking for $16.00 in front of the restaurant. I honestly preferred Valet due to the high volumes of guest visiting the Mall could be a madhouse at times. Making my early reservation allowed me to enjoy the ecstatics of the restaurant before the evening rush devoured the establishment. The ambiance was great dimmed lighting set the mood. My Waitress was Solame she was truly the definition of an amazing server. Very knowledgeable on the Menu gave great recommendations, and a pleasure to talk to. We started off with a selection of East coast oysters Blue points are my favorite but we tried the Pink moons and they were delicious. I also added the West coast Olympic view oysters those were so sweet and delicious and definitely tasted the hint of melon. Your champagne mignonette sauce was the icing on the cake best oysters I have ever. For Appetizers we ordered the Yellowtail sashimi and the Ahi Tuna Tartare the quality in your seafood is exceptional ever bite was light flavorful and delicious. Ahi Tuna worked so well with the Mango puree and Avocado the Asian chile vinaigrette made me want to lick the plate. Yellowtail was my partner's favorite the ponzu and fresh cilantro with the red chili. Entree with had the 10oz Filet Mignon with Lobster Mashed Potatoes the Add on Scallops with a Caesar Salad with Grilled Shrimp. BEST FILET EVER cooked to perfect Medium heat pink in the center it melted in my mouth. Lobster mash was creamy and cheesy and great chunks on lobster. Last but not least dessert: We ordered the Crème Brûlée with fresh fruit on top and Solema also brought the Bananas Fosters for Mothers Day which was so sweet and delicious and so incredibly nice of her. Friday was National girlfriend day & I forgot so I panicked. After going nuts for about an hour looking for a nice place to wine & dine my gf. I ran across this place & let me tell you it didn't disappoint. THE SERVICE WAS A1!!! I'm so upset I forgot our waiters name. But he was phenomenal, Nice attentive & very helpful. That's what customer service is all about. We had reservations at 7. We arrived at 7 on the dot and were seated immediately. The place itself is really nice kinda on the fancier side. Our nice waiter recommended some items. We decided to try the Crab cake & cesar salad. I'm not a big seafood person but if I was I would recommend! It was nice, light & really fresh. My gf loved it! The Cesar salad wow immaculate not your typical Cesar salad. The taste was different but In a very good way it had this olive oil on it wow!!!! It's a MUST TRY! Now we wanted to try a few sides on the menu so for sides we had Mashed potatoes, Brussels Sprouts & the Truffle Mac & cheese. The mashed potatoes were so good. The Brussels sprouts eh I liked it but I'm not a fan of the cashew on the Brussels sprouts I mean my gf loved it but is not my cup of tea! The star of the show omg was the TRUFFLE MAC & CHEESE wow creamy cheesy the truffle was there but not overpowering just right amazing!! We also had the Lamb chops & NY strip with chili rub now. They were good but the chimichurri sauce on the lamb chops made it way to salty I mean it was good but to salty for me but the lamb chops itself was amazing juicy, fresh! The NY strip wasn't a fan it lacked flavor. I mean it was cooked to perfection but i always say this idc if it's a fancy restaurant people season YOUR MEATS!!! lol. Now the MVP O M G! Was the banana butter cake that we had for dessert wow. Listen I can sit here & write on how GREAT that dessert was but I'm going to say less. JUST TRY IT & YOU WILL SEE WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT! Maybe one of the best desserts I've had in a while & im not even a sweet tooth type of fella. Our meal was amazing. Angel our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu options and bar offerings. The seafood tower was to die for. King crab , lobster , oysters , and colossal shrimp . I also had the bone in 22 oz ribeye with mashed potato and Brussels sprouts as sides. The food came out in a decent amount of time. And it was seasoned well.
