Texas Roadhouse DON'T care nothing about a large party baby. I mean, they don't care nothing about a large party! It completely blows my mind that Texas roadhouse as a company doesn't care if you have a large group coming in. I called an hour and a half before my party arrived of 20 and spoke with a large party manager Montana and my party had to wait close to two hours after our arrival for a table. What blows my mind is that they will put parties of a smaller number on their weight as a call ahead and they don't have to wait as long. However, large parties don't get that same courtesy. I feel like this policy is completely backwards and it frustrates me to no end. I'm not sure if it's because the majority of the staff is young or they just don't care but I have a hard time interacting with them. There were several interactions during our visit they ruined the experience. For example since we had to wait the long period of time I told all of my family to know what they wanted to order. I asked the hostess for a menu for an older family member to look at and she told me they didn't have menus that I could either scan and look at the menu on a phone or stand and look at the menu tucked away close to the To-go area. I said I need the menu for a person over 75 yrs old and she looked at me like tough cookies and continued back to what she was doing. I'm so glad the Steele Creek area is getting a new location and hopefully we won't have to deal with some of this. Probably won't fix the large party issue (since this seems like a general company policy) but it makes me happy we won't have to travel so far to get to a location on a regular basis. Our experience started off a little rocky as our original server wasn't very attentive and was often missing in action. She seemed very distracted, she was very cut short when we spoke to her and rushed us through ordering both our drinks and our meal which took longer than expected. However, another server named Cody truly stepped in and turned things around for us. He was incredibly attentive, kind, and supportive..with getting sauces, extras, boxes and especially when we needed guidance with the check. His effort did not go unnoticed and made a huge difference in our visit. We also want to shout out the wonderful lady who brought out our food with the dinosaur checkbook..she was a breath of fresh air and added such a positive touch to our experience. She literally shined a light where we were considering not visiting again due to our waitresses attitude. As for the food, it was delicious overall! I ordered the ribs and they were great. My husband ordered the steak, which unfortunately wasn't cooked very well, but all the sides, shrimp, bread and both of our children's adult burgers were cooked perfectly. We stopped in here again for dinner mid-week...and it was packed! There was actually a wait at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday! This is somewhat of a loud, honky tonk dive, but I personally love their complimentary bread rolls and their amazing house butter...and they generously load you up with 2 batches! For this, I'm willing to endure the wait, the ugly ambiance, and even the Country music overhead (NOT a fan of this genre). My husband had a generous load of BBQ Ribs, and I had Chicken Caesar Salad. HUGE portions...talk about a value! The servers are awesome. The food is consistently good. Probably the only local restaurant that is consistently the same each time we go in. Not sure how they manage to be consistently great but I hope they keep it up. Management is awesome and hats off to "Big Mike". He works really hard to keep the restaurant running smoothly. He also makes the returning customers feel welcomed and is glad to see them. I am sure the other management is also very good but we enjoy "Big Mike" so much that we try to go on the days we know he is working. Best Server Award goes to Bailee. We had a party of 15 so although we called an hour ahead of time to get put on the waitlist you wait until your entire party arrives before they will officially put you in the queue and ofcourse we had 4 late. We were split between two tables beside each other which was good. Our server Bailee was patient, knew the menu well and fun. It was a very busy night we could tell but she gave us her attention as we asked questions. The food was solid. I always have to get the cactus blossom to share and it never disappoints. There house Italian dressing is delicious with the house salad. Also the rattlesnack bites were good. The rolls and cinnamon honey butter is annoyingly addicting. One got the sirlom steak medium and sadly it was dry but that cut of meat is very lean so be careful getting that cut. This visit fell short of everything from the service to the food. Not being greeted at the front instead I was asked can I help with an attitude ain't it. To start off the visit our server wasted/broke all the drinks at the table. I get that accidents happen but not one manager came over to the table to make sure everyone was alright. My friend on the end of the table got the worst end of it all! Clothes all wet and to top it off she was the birthday girl. So the server suggests that he goes ahead and take our order then go and get more drinks. We all agreed no problem, again we get that things happen, but still no apology from the manager to see if every one was okay. So food starts to come out and some plates were incomplete/missing sides dishes. I asked for my steak to be medium rare and it came out medium and I also asked for marshmallows and not the honey caramel but yet it was still on the both of the marshmallows. Time for checks to come I told the server multiple times what was on my check and yet my check was messed up. There are 4 of us that love this restaurant. We are Seniors and have mobility issues that are moderate. We park in handicap area and are there for 4:00 pm opening. We usually ask to sit at a specific area that accommodates our size and mobility. This time the girl with the roll basket led us out of our way to the aisle booth just almost adjacent to the rest room door. We refused as we were the third Party in the entire restaurant. She finally took us to the booth we had asked for and have sat there every time we have gone. I have gift cards given to me for this favorite restaurant. Everything was off, salads wilted and lots of brown, warm salad plates. Rice, chicken critters eating over salted.. Steak tough and grizzly Even the blooming onion was not the usual delish. We will take a break and try again. Happy that we are getting Texas Roadhouse in Indianland, SC near our home soon. Much less miles to go. I might also add that our server was great. Inconsistent at best. Sometimes we get awesome servers. Other times just meh. Steaks are not consistent. Cooks do not know how to cook med or med rare. It change everyone we go. Apps are hot or miss. Honestly, this is my favorite place to get a steak. They are consistently good. I love my steak medium, its always juicy and full of flavor and for the process, I leave full and happy. We all know the cinnamon butter and rolls are amazing. We went again last night. I love that they have call ahead seating, so when we arrive our name has already been on the list. Restaurant was packed for dinner. Comfortable atmosphere, good attentive service, extensive food and beverage menu. We went here with our family for dinner. We ordered a blooming onion appetizer, filet, rib eye steaks and a main dish salad and chicken nugets and fries for a child. Food was tasty. Good portions and steaks cooked to order. However I must say even the sides ( fries, vegetables such as our sides of corn, sautéed mushrooms, ) were extremely salty for our tastes, and we couldn't finish them. This is always a fun place! Very casual and happy! I think the staff really does love to work there!! They're all so attentive and friendly and they acknowledge you from the moment you walk in. The whole experience was a huge disappointment from the beginning. We checked in and our wait time was 1 hour 50 minutes. We accepted that and began our wait. We specifically requested a table as we were a party of 6 and I'm disabled and have to have my walker accommodated. We checked twice on table status once just before the 2 hours and just after. Arianna had a very bad attitude and rudely stated to us it was long because we needed a table. When we were eventually led to our table at the furthest corner of the restaurant we were excited to start the process of ordering. Drinks were slow to arrive and cocktails were not as ordered, we let it go and kept them as made. Our kids drinks had to be re poured into children appropriate cups. Our appetizers were very slow. We had to request soft drink refills and they were extremely slow to come also. We asked for ranch for the loaded fries which with repeated requests was not brought til 3/4 done and they were cold. The blooming onion was just ok. One of the two rib eye steaks ordered was overcooked and the manager brought the replacement steak to the table after everyone else had eaten. Manager Mike did the bare minimum to discount the bill as an attempt to pacify us. We will needless to say not return. We want our 4 hours of our lives back! read more

My husband and I went there tonight to celebrate our Birthdays, we had a bad experience and will not try it anymore, this is the third time we went for Prime Rib and they ran out, my husband had a steak then and it came out raw and veggies cold, I used the bathroom and it was dirty, poor condition of toilet. Let me start by saying that service was excellent! Taylor was our server and she is definitely someone I would request in the future. Secondly, I want to give accolades to whoever cooked my steak! It was delicious! Now for the bad news... It is VERY LOUD, but it is a "Roadhouse", so I was expecting that. What I was not expecting was that there was nasty food smeared on menu that got all over my shirt! It is a Texas. Roadhouse policy to leave the menus at the table rather than bring them to you and take them away/clean them after you order. The menus literally just stay on the table. You pick it up look through it/handle it, then put it back for the next patron to look through/handle. You don't know who or how many people handled it before you. We ordered the 6 ounce sirloin with sweet potato and green beans and an a 1/2 slab of ribs with baked potato and corn. Everything was prepared to our expectations but most important Kendal our server made us feel appreciated. By delivering rolls as needed and checking on us throughout the meal. Wow! I wanted to treat my family who were visiting from out of town to a nice steakhouse meal. What a mistake this was. After standing in line with every form of life imaginable, we were finally shown to a table in the dim, dark very back of the restaurant. Our server eventually arrived with tattoos covering virtually every part of her exposed body, ear gauges as big as a half dollar and enough piercings to set off a metal detector in an airport. Two of us ordered our steaks medium rare and the other two ordered medium well, when they arrived, the server asked us to cut into them to see if they were the way we wanted them. They were all cooked to well done. To the servers credit, she was appalled and requested new steaks for us. By the time the new steaks arrived we had filled up on the appetizers and sides. We had to request boxes for the steaks. As we made room on the table, a roach ran across the wall. Disgusting. Needless to say we left the steaks and the boxes on the table. The tab was nearly $300.00. Overall a very off putting experience and very embarrassing for us in front of our out of town guests. This place needs to step up its game! read more

Placed a to-go order for two burgers, apps, a filet, and extra rolls. Was told it would be ready at a certain time and we arrived to pick up at that time. The text message system told me to text when I arrived, and when I texted, I received a reply saying my order wasn't ready. 15 minutes later I went up to the counter myself and my food had just been sitting there. Naturally, the food was cold. My filet was beyond rare (ordered medium rare), burgers cold and hard, and loaded baked potato was plain. However, it was soooo busy and had it not been left sitting there it probably would have been acceptable despite the other errors. We gave them a call and they were SO SO nice and understanding and apologetic. I believe the person my mom spoke to over the phone was Kinsley (sorry probably off on that lol). But she was so sweet and clearly cared a lot about making it right and had amazing customer service. Everyone in the restaurant biz is stressed right now and the way Texas Roadhouse handled everything was so great that we will certainly be back to try again.
