We ordered our meal before the couple beside us. Their salads and steaks came before ours did. Our salads finally arrived at the same time as a third couple who came in after all of us. My steak was perfect. My potato was child's size. That irks me. My salad was ok. Nothing special. Oh and they have a half order of a blooming onion called petals. $5 We complained to the mgr. he took our drinks off. Bartender never thanked us. Never talked to us-4 people at the bar. We walked in for lunch to a basically empty restaurant and were greeted by Blake who unfortunately ended up being our waiter. He mumbled about seating, about what a "day" he was having and then finally seated us. We waited 34 minutes and never even got our appetizer. Our waiter acted surprised?? Shouldn't they know what we are served??? I doubt he ever put the order in. We should have left then. He also acted surprised that my husbands burger has no bacon as it was ordered and said to him "well they don't come like that" and we replied that he ordered it like that to which he said nothing. His burger came with no condiments and was beyond rare. He never checked on us and was the worst waiter we've ever had. Please consider retraining Blake C. Rome, GA - Took my family for a Valentine's Day dinner. Had to wait an hour and a half, but in their defense, that's exactly how long they told me it would be. They were also very busy. The waiter immediately messed up on our drink order, but I'm willing to concede that he may have been new or a little flustered due to how busy it was. The music was very loud, which caused all the patrons to talk loudly, which made for a very noisy dining experience. The main issue I always have with this establishment is the tiny amounts of ketchup(for my kids), and steak sauce, and pretty much every condiment they supply you with. Waited for over 10 mins, then asked a waitress that had already brought drinks and appetizers to a table that was seated after me, if she knew who our waiter/waitress was and she went to the back and said just a minute. Ah let's see, what's my opinion of this location.. Vile food and unfriendly service. 100% do not recommend. We had the cheese fries, they were microwaved.. eww.. the blooming onion looked as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long while before serving it to us, it was obviously beyond over cooked. My husband said his steak was plain and simply "not good". His salad also contained old brown lettuce. And to top all that off, our server seemed as though being at work was the last thing that she wanted to be doing today. She never cleared anything off the table when she stopped by even though we had it all stacked up nice and neat on the edge of the table for her. She gave us fake smiles that would drop off her face before she would even start walking away.. needless to say she got a poor tip for poor service. We will not be returning. Also we forgot our debit card and called to say we would be returning to get it and we were told it wasn't there.. nice. Good food but I didn't get a steak so I can tell you about the hamburger, fries, and bloomin onion. the bloomin onion was delish, and the dipping sauce was out of this world ! the hamburger was good, with a homemade bun. but it was nothing spectacular to make it stand out from any other burger. My husband and I visited this place and was so bad the manager gave us a gift card...so we returned back on an afternoon met with the store manager and assured us we would pleased...we neither of us was...I ordered my ribeye medium and one side of steak rare....baked potatoes weren't even very warm...the Outback I have always enjoyed and loved seems cannot get in top of her game...many nights spent there with friends and always a good steak...manager was beyond embarrassed...I felt bad for her seems some problems in the kitchen...I was so disappointed I paid for the meal...hope they can pick up and fix the problem read more

Went to Outback in Rome,Ga. I am from California visiting family and a rewards member of Outback so thought that it would be as consistent in good quality as in Ca. We ordered Perfect Rita drinks, but I always order with the sour mix on the side.Had to send it back twice as after careful explanation to our waitress how I wanted the citrus mix on the side from the alcohol ( patron tequila,cointrou,gran marnier) on the rocks with salt. On their third attempt came back with what appeared to possibly be correct but no ice it looked short of alchohol portion. The manager approached us to see what the problem was and I questioned the alcohol portion being less than what the manager said should be,she brought a 1oz. jigger measurement and in fact it was short almost an ounce of alcohol. After that she did Not apologize or offer anything else. After that we got up and left and did not order dinner. Very disappointed and would give it no stars if possible. read more

Way off today. The Herbed Parmesan Crusted chicken was so salty, I had to send it back. The Alice Chicken replacement meal didn't come out until my husband was finished with his meal. Such a disappointment. Update: The manager came by as we were getting up from our table and asked how everything was. She listened as I described our dining experience and apologized, then asked us to wait while she got us a gift card. This is exactly how it should have been handled. I know that just opening after being shut down because of Covid19 is very very hard. That does not excuse this restaurant from the mistakes that happened. Being told that I would have a one hour wait time was acceptable on a Mother's Day Sunday, being less than half full because of Covid19 was acceptable. Waiting patiently while the hour goes by was acceptable, no problem but having our place in line misplaced , lost whatever they want to call it is NOT acceptable. After one hour and 20 minutes being told that they could not find us and then I had to show where they texted me to prove we were on the list was not acceptable. There were those who came in after us being served and we were just overlooked. It took another 15 or so minutes after that before we were seated but that only happened because I stood at the stand and helped the hostess find our phone number. Never an apology or anything. Mistakes happen apologizing and getting the problem fixed goes a long way, unfortunately this Outback didn't do that. The food was excellent our server excellent. read more

My wife and I enjoy Outback. We ate there last weekend. The service was great. The salad was great and my wife's filet was very good. However, I ordered the ribeye and every time I took a bite it was grisly. I ate three fourths of it with the taste being very good. The is by far the worst outback I have ever been to. I normally go with a chain I can trust, is why we stopped here while traveling. Did I ever get surprised. We got there around 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon. The place was almost empty. Was told beca few minute wait. (Really?). Finally after 15 minutes asked the hostess why the wait with almost all tables empty? She said the servers were on break and the managers were waiting tables and could only handle 3 at a time (wow)!! I ordered the ribeye medium rare. It was very thin so almost impossible to get it medium rare. Plus the fact it was so salty from so much dales seasoning on it, it was inedible for me. I mean really at outback they use dales to marinate their steaks. It was like one at a friends house that doesn't know how to cook a steak. I have to say that this Outback has redeemed itself! Last couple of times we ate there were NOT good. With that being said, it has been several months since we have eaten at this particular Outback. We were visiting Rome today and decided to give it another chance. MUCH BETTER!! I had the Outback Special (9 oz) and it was cooked to order, very tender and full of that great Outback flavor. My better half had the Chicken on the Barbie and she was also impressed. Both of us had salads which were cold, crisp and fresh. We also tried the Bloom Petals which proved to be good too. Worst service i've ever encountered. A large group of us went here before prom, and were treated very terribly. The refused to serve alcohol to a member of our prom party that was 21, saying his license "looked fake". He argued with the waitress for what seemed like forever before they gave him his 100% real, government-issued driver's license back. It took forever to get our food, which wasn't very good. A member of our party found something in his wings which the manager (who seemed a lot more accommodating than the waitress) assumed was "feathers". He was offered a new entree and was given his meal for free, which was nice. Needless to say, we didn't tip. Fast-forward a few days and the waitress called the school we attended and complained that she was not tipped. Beyond unprofessional. If she would've given us good service, maybe she would've gotten her oh-so-important tip. I will never step foot in this joke of a restaurant again. read more

Overpriced! ! It's a national chain and one I personally can do without. The one we visited in Atlanta was better than the one in Dalton or the one in Rome, or Cartersville. But even it wasn't great. Every time I have been there with my family, the food is bad. Mainly their steak. It's so dry and tough that my younger brother choked on a piece of steak that was very hard to chew. However my steak was not cook the way I asked to have it cook and it was very tough. I had their sirloin. My wife had the ribeye and she said it was very good. WOW!!! Please don't go. Took my wife and four grown kids. Waiter took drink order and said ''I'll be right back with those drinks". Ten minutes later, waiter asked "what would you like to drink?" SERIOUSLY! Had to ask for bread. Had to find waiter to place food order. Had to ask for refills. Had to ask were our food was. There was a table with 8 people at it that had been there a good 30 minutes and no one had greeting them yet. Had to request bill. Whole horrible experience took over two hours and the place wasn't even busy! Apparently though, there were regulars there, because two different tables that came in way after us received their food right away and before me and my family. Manager spent the whole time at one particular table and never talked to or asked anyone else how was everything. When the food finally came out, it was COLD.
