This takes the poor to go service to a new low. I have had many problems ordering from this location but never bad enough to review it but please see the pictures. They actually gave me some else's leftover food while the rest of the food was cold. Worse yet it's not close to my house and I had to go back. Edit: now that I've returned with the first dish made up I got to look at the second and sadly the 18oz steak was literally fat as you'll see in the picture. Look the staff was nice but this is inexcusable for a dish they charge $40 for

They cook a perfect chain steak everytime. It's science. I don't get the low reviews. The duo at the bar were amazing. Quick to take my take away order and get me a cocktail. We got filet & pasta. 4.0/5.0 Pork chops 4.5/5.0 Loaded taters 4.0/5.0 Asparagus 4.0/5.0 Salads with bleu cheese 5.0/5.0 Brownie cake 5.0/5.0 Staff were 5.0/5.0 I got take away and tipped 30%. I happen to like Outback. I normally have a great meal. The service was kind of slow. We must have sat at our seats for about 10 minutes before anyone came to speak to us. The place was not packed, which is why I was a bit annoyed by the slow service. Once my meal came, it was ok. The lobster tail was amazing!!! My prime rib was not so much. The meat was flavorful and butter tender, but by the time i was done, my 12 oz steak wound up being about 7 oz edible meat. 40% of it was fat. My wife loved her steak but mentioned that her shrimp was dry and tasted old. I gave a 3 because of my past experiences, but honestly, I could go 2 stars.

Our groups cocktail fav for the night: the Smokey Old Fashioned.

We had a terrific time with friends, great food, and drinks... the Smokey Old Fashioned was a group fav! A special thanks to the Outback's proprietor, Scott Villari, for his above-and-beyond hospitality. The great variety of hot appetizers and salad were absolutely delicious. Scott truly went the extra mile with the help of his awesome staff. As the coordinator seeking a venue for our group of 20 neighbors to gather for a casual meet-and-greet with cocktails and conversation, I'm filled with nothing but gratitude and praise. We'll be back!

Food was great ! The Steak was well made with good flavor. The French onion soup was amazing, one of the best I've ever had, the cheese was perfect and there was so much flavor and great size for a side. The service was ok, we called ahead to reserve a table but still had to wait 20 minutes. But our waitress was really nice and fast. The vibe was great, very welcoming and a nice spot for a quick family dinner.

Came here for a quick family lunch because I had a gift card for this restaurant. Definitely not a fancy steakhouse. Place is casual and a bit dingy, like many chain restaurants. They serve tall mugs of ice cold beer for just $5, which hit the spot on a hot summer day. Waiter was nice but didn't offer much assistance with the menu. Expected us to know exactly what potato and sides options there were and didn't try to explain anything more than was directly asked. They serve complimentary warm wheat bread and whipped butter which was comparable to Cheesecake Factory - quite good. Steaks all came out perfectly cooked, tender, and nicely seasoned. Broccoli was fine but the zucchini and carrots tasted old / frozen. The potato sides were tasty but were all loaded with butter - wish I knew that so I could ask them to put the butter on the side or hold it all together. Prices are quite reasonable. Overall, probably wouldn't go back but it's not a bad option if you're hungry and in the area or just looking for an affordable steak night.

The entrees we ordered: the vegetarian moussaka, the lamb ("Bifteki") platter, and the chicken souvlaki platter. We were very happy and very satisfied. Portions are ample. Timing of the 2 grilled meat dishes with the oven-baked casserole was perfect: everything was hot. Our thanks to the chef of a well managed kitchen. The complementary butter cookies were a delightful way to end the meal. Our server was attentive and professional. The interior is spotless, with minimal decoration, so nothing distracting. I don't know why we haven't frequented this spot sooner (at least during trips back home), but EVOO is legit. Also NOTE - its BYOB (but there are even some places nearish by you can grab a bottle or 3 if needed). Our server was very attentive, despite the restaurant being fairly busy. For apps, we decided on the: Hummus - how do you properly judge a Mediterranean restaurant without trying their hummus, and this was creamy, decadent and served with some fresh pita. Grilled Calamari (with roasted red pepper, lemon, evoo, capers, red onions) - very nicely cooked, not rubbery at all Grilled Octopus (with roasted red peppers, fava puree, capers, onions, red wine vinegar, arugula, evoo) - if octopus is on the menu, I'm gonna have it. For my entree, I got the pan-seared scallops with cauliflower puree, quinoa, spinach, heirloom tomato. Loved it. Cooked perfectly, loooved the silky puree...just a solid solid dish. All in all, EVOO definitely deserves to be on the Millburn/Essex shortlist when looking for nicer places to dine out. Can't wait to get back and try some more of their menu!

My nephew who lives nearby treated us to an al fresco meal recently while visiting for a family event. My pulled pork smashed burger was everything you want in a packed meat sandwich, with an onion ring and tangy sauce on the brioche bun. It was packed on the Friday night we visited, with folks lined up for seating, or to hang at the bar and enjoy the bar scene. No reservations. Our late dinner worked fine as the mostly millennial and Gen-Z crowd started thinning shortly after we arrived. Millburn has always been a draw for neighboring townsfolk in search of a meal out. I remember this foodie town from 25 years ago, when its pizza, kosher and diner offerings were top notch. It seems to have upgraded its food scene several notches since my last visit so many years ago. Pure nostalgia for me which made for a very flavorful evening. TOP TIP: Street parking in this part of town is a hassle and the local cops keep a sharp eye for illegally parked cars and inebriated drivers. So park further away from the center of town where you are more likely to snag a legal spot on a busy night.

Fortunately, I can say not much has changed. * Inviting atmosphere, a nice tone for a "casual formal" meal - low lit but not overly elegant. * Prompt and friendly service, refilling water whenever requested. * I asked, they delivered: refills on bread and garlic bulbs if you wish. Because if you're at the Garlic Rose and you're not devouring clove after melty clove of roasted garlic, why are you even here? Of course, I only ordered food with garlic. The garlic chowder, hot and full of flavor. Garlic pasta: beef short rib ravioli. Splurge a little. What a flavorful filling. Back in the day, we'd get a bunch of garlic pastas and entrees to pass around. The only caveat: no garlic desserts. I've had garlic ice cream before at garlic festivals. It can be done, Rose. Make it so. The verdict: Make sure to invite the whole family, otherwise you'll be sitting alone for a few days.

With a google same day reservation, I rolled in with my little family of four and my mother-in-law. Gabriella, the chef's wife, treated us like family and every dish tasted like a hug. Highlights were the zesty Peruvian Ceviche (save bread for the sauce), tasty Steak Yucca Fries, and Berenjena con Miel - eggplant drizzled with honey and goat cheese. The Calamari was crispy and delicious even without the tentacles. Dessert was a victory lap with a smooth and creamy Flan, perfectly crunchy Churros, and Lemon Sorbet that looked like Olaf doing hot yoga. Then came free homemade limoncello to end the meal. Service was top-notch, folks came back to help us pack up extras and also check on us multiple times. Stopped in on a hot day, tried a bunch: Pitcher of white sangria was a lovely cool sip, just about right for four of us per pitcher. Tapas/apps: - Special baked oyster fondue was only ok (reminded me of Oyster Rockefeller but not as flavorful and the cheese was mostly on the plate, not on the oyster); they had 3 on the plate and they noticed and had them make up a 4th for the 4th person at the table. Great service for that notice and sending a fourth one out - good touch. - Papas bravos was a good fingerling potato in a creme - Grilled octopus was ok - Peruvian ceviche was a touch too sour for me, but others liked it - had another potato dish but wasn't sure what it was called; just ok Mains, also shared: - Short ribs rigatoni was good, but not as good as the one at Ferraro's that I had earlier in the month - Seafood paella - not sure if this is a regional difference, but I'm used to having the crispy rice along the outside of the pan, crunch and savory -- the inside rice and shrimp, sausage and clams were ok, but missing the texture expected of a hot pan of paella rice, so left feeling like I missed out of something Dessert - churros were solid, with dulce de leche - lava cake was ok, not much melting (more like a little chocolate melted in the center but not enough to ooze out), but the chocolate cake was good, and the vanilla ice cream to the top always a good touch - they had a special fruit mix in a pastry shell - good fruit mix and the ice cream below was good - pastry was just ok, maybe needed something more like a napoleon's layers instead of being like a fried skin which ended up being a bit stuck in the teeth Overall great service, a mix of dishes that sometimes hit the mark and others missed, but will come here to try some other dishes that people at the table next to us ordered - the steak looked good, as did the fish!
