Dad and I came down around 1:30pm on a Tuesday to find an empty parking lot and restaurant. Dad's been here a few times and I actually have never been inside lol. Staff were super friendly from the moment we walked in. Greeted and sat, our waitress Destiny was super nice and very friendly! The gentleman server who brought our food was also very nice! We got a few beers, had a Bloomin Onion "delicious!" And then ordered our steaks. We both got the Delmonico Rib Eye and wow, what a delicious steak. Cooked and seasoned perfectly! I got mine a medium rare and my dad got medium. He was skeptical about the medium rare til I gave him a piece and he could taste all the flavor! We both got fully loaded baked potatoes, but I made sure to ask for a side of chili for my second side and boy did it taste delicious on top of my baked potato! My dad was like "wow, I should've got the chili, that looks good!" Lol. Overall a very wonderful meal with great company. If I could've had anything different, I would've asked for a table instead of a booth. I'm a big guy and those booths are a little tight for the stomach lol. They do have some tables with chairs which is a plus for anyone larger lol. Food was super enjoyable and the staff were awesome. Big Thumbs Up to who I think was the manager. We locked eyes and she gave me a thumbs up so I gave one in return and we both had a laugh and a smile from the random moment lol. Terrible mashed potatoes. Part powdered potatoes and whole boiled potatoes to add chunks and skin? Awful. Bread was room temp dry. Loved the butter. Lobster tail about 2" loved the butter with it. Tasty sample size Rib eye was cut open down the center. My guess was to check for medium rare but was medium well. Was tender. Added salt. Wedge salad was really good after I removed the old brown leaves hidden on the bottom.......About half of the wedge. I don't write reviews often, but I felt compelled to share our experience. From the moment my fiancé and I walked in, something felt off with the staff. When I asked for a booth instead of a table, the hostess responded with noticeable attitude. I understand booths aren't always available, and I can accept that -- but being seated at a loud, exposed table without any acknowledgment of the request wasn't the welcome we'd hoped for. Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to try the food, as we left before ordering. Our server, Oscar, made us feel like an inconvenience from the start -- he slammed the bread plates down on the table, startling us, before even saying hello. We purchased the Chicken on the Barbie based off the picture that was advertised. It came with two sides. We ordered the mashed potatoes and the Mac&Cheese. When we got the dinner, after paying almost $40 dollars, not including the delivery fees, we were so mad. Not only did Outback not send the Mac&Cheese, but the tiny side of mashed potatoes wouldn't feed a toddler. And don't get me started on how the chicken looked. Thier pictures grossly misrepresent what they actually provide. The picture I'm sending is after we had to add BBQ sauce to the chicken because it was so dry and burnt. But, I guess the stale loaf of bread they sent was supposed to clean that up. This is the second time Outback has messed up our order. We thought it was a fluke the first time, but they proved us wrong this time. We will never go there or order food from there again. read more

My mashed potatoes were cold, the Blooming onions were not so fresh, and the steak tasted like Liver. The only fresh part was my Asparagus. The Dragon Fruit drink, I didn't finish. That was a waste of $11. I knew I should have stuck with Iced Tea. Then it start to get busier & my check was nowhere to be found. I went to the restroom & on the way back my server asked if I wanted to pay for my check at the waiters station. Yep, because I want to get the heck outta here pronto. Gave this chain a try during the busy holiday season. Walked in for lunch and it was not busy at all but the wait was 15 or so minutes. Inside is quaint and lovely but I noticed zero holiday decor. Bah humbug! The server was attentive but the food took forever. Good thing they give you a complimentary bread starter. I noticed a large party of 12 a mix of children and adults all get their food from steaks to pasta and it looked great. After they left I walked by to go to the restroom and most of the food was left on the plate. I mean like one bite out of a steak and just left there. Sad and shocking waste of food but when I got my chicken I knew why. We waited forever for soup, salad and chicken and all of it was underwhelming. The chicken was encased in melted cheese. My sweet potato side was okay but the skin was hard and rubbery. I really didn't taste the honey butter. The potato soup was watery and had no flavor. I'll start with the mozzarella sticks that were not sticks. They were flat breaded pieces of cheese. They tasted gross. I took one bite and left the rest. Waste of money. The chocolate thunder (brownie with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream) came out with a scoop of whipped cream on top that looked like ice cream. I told our server that they forgot the ice cream because this is just whipped cream on top of the brownie and he said, " oh yeah they told me we don't have ice cream". He apologized and I told him "I wish I would've known, I wouldn't have ordered it" he said sorry again. Didn't offer a refund or even a discount. Got charged full price even though we only received half of the dessert. Payed $11.99 for a brownie with a scoop of whipped cream and no ice cream. So if the server is wondering why he got no tip it's because we got charged for the ice cream we didn't get. Sad part is we weren't going to be told if we didn't ask. Gave outback another try and it was my mistake in doing so. First of all it took for ever to be seared , and the place was empty. Took for ever just to get drinks and the place was empty. Took for ever for our waitress to finally take our order. And the place was empty. Finally food came and steaks were not cooked properly looked like the were made in a frying pan and baked potato looked just thrown together. Very disappointed. Again . Won't ever be going back. I ordered a strawberry lemonade--the simplest drink at any restaurant--and it tasted like water with a lemon slice and a few strawberry slices. I had to order another drink because it tasted like water. The 13 oz ribeye wasn't flavorful and was mainly fat. I had ordered a side of a loaded baked potato and broccoli, the baked potato wasn't filled with toppings, they were really light on the toppings. My husband and I loveddd it here ! staff was very kind and attentive. they were training new staff and still kept up with our food. we got complimentary bread as well as lemon water to start us off. Went in with my husband on Sunday 09-22-24 at about noon. We were seated promptly as there were only a few other couples/groups. The restaurant and the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. The hostess was very pleasant and the server Elijah was very friendly and attentive. Placed our order, I ordered the New reef and beef platter! With filet medium rare and it came with shrimp and scallops. And my husband ordered the sirloin and Alice springs chicken combo, and a while later I'd say about 15 minutes after placing our order our server came back to our table and brought it to my attention that the kitchen had informed him they were out of scallops and asked if I would be ok with a double order of shrimp, which I said yes to. Another 15 minutes later, our food arrived, I couldn't help but to chuckle. The beef and reef platter was supposed to have filet mignon and I was served what appears to be sirloin. And the shrimp that was doubled up on, while technically piece accurate, were the smallest shrimp for an entree I'd ever seen. I ordered the baked potato with everything, and my other side I upgraded to the Tasmanian chili. While everything had great flavor, minus the shrimp, they were very watery and some had a little too much char on one side, I couldn't believe my meal was $38.99. (Before the chili upgrade). My husband enjoyed his meal but wasn't too happy with the Mac and cheese. We were happy with everything else just kind of dumbfounded that two doors over there's a "US chef store" (restaurant supply) that they could have purchased scallops at or at least had made clear to 86 scallops at the beginning of service. We had an early dinner this afternoon at the Visalia Outback! The food here was amazing! Our waitress was Destiny and she did a fantastic job of serving both of us today! She went above and beyond with our meal! We sat in the bar area and had the big screen to watch while we ate! I recommend that area if want to watch sports like I do! The breaded mushrooms appetizers with dipping sauces are a must here along with the blooming onions! My wife did the salmon and rice while I did the ribeye steak with loaded mash potatoes and grilled shrimp! Yummy! The portions were so big we took home enough food to have another dinner for tomorrow! This place is great! read more
