Went for happy hour with my coworkers. Our new favorite happy hour spot. Food and service was wonderful as always. Can't wait to return

Ordered take out, 3 tough steaks 1 dry steak, loaded mashed potato was an absolute joke (pictures). The salad is big which is cool but the dressing is 10x worse then Texas Roadhouse. Don't recommend takeout, very lackluster effort. Will be sticking with Texas Roadhouse

Just wanted to show you the pile of fat, I ate some I wouldn't have had anything to eat.

Our food was hot and delicious from the Toowoomba salmon, the bone in ribeye, coconut shrimp, and of course the Bloomin onion crispy and hot, love the sauce.

If you want a "just average" eating experience you should skip Rock Salt…read more It was fantastic. But, get there early, make a reservation, or be prepared to wait. My brother and I wanted something for lunch after going to a car swap meet. We landed on Rock Salt Grille. I'd eaten there several times before. We arrived at 11:45 AM (Saturday) and there was a 30 minute wait, so we grabbed two comfortable seats at the bar. A good call. I had the Rock Salt Oysters, broiled with bacon and parmigiana. Delightful. I also had the cream of, and Maryland crab, soup combination. My brother had the crab cake sandwich. I'd had it before, but wanted the oysters. His crab cake sandwich was double the size of any I'd ever seen, without exaggeration. He guessed it was 8 ounces or more, without exaggeration, with no visible filler, (Broiled). I had a few beers and we split the Bread pudding with Grand Marnier sauce. It was enough for four. The bar and food service was spectacular with "tag teaming" to make sure we didn't wait for anything. I'd like to thank the bartenders who served us perfectly: Kelsey and Nikkea. Award winners. Rock Salt is not inexpensive, but the quality of the food and the great service justify the premium. I'll be back more often

Okay ... This place used to be a great spot. But ... it's really went the wrong way in a hurry. I'm…read moreguessing from the strain of buying out the original owner. The signature disk was and perhaps still is the Seafood club. Which for this who don't know is a club sandwich with a small crab cake, scoop of shrimp as ok ad on a BLT. It use to cost somewhere around $25 and was a pretty good option at that price. Yesterday when I visited the prices were all inflated $40 for the same sandwich. I mean seriously ... didn't order it. Won't order it. What a ripoff ... Anyway we had the potato skins which were pretty traditional... cheese, bacon, scallions. Except rather than sour cream they offer some other sauce they call Rock Salt Sauce. I asked what it was and the bartender told me it was kind of like BBQ sauce. I passed on that and got the sour cream. They were perfectly acceptable as an app for the price. They did deliver a side cup of that sauce and it was terrible. It tasted like someone poured ketchup, Worcestershire, honey and some other stuff in a bowl for laughs. Another option that was shocking was steamed shrimp. $16 for half a pound or $32 per pound. C'mon ... Shrimp are inexpensive $10 or so a pond for some really nice size shrimp per pound. Why don't you just serve them with a side of vasoline? For dinner I got thru House burger. It's supposed to be a 1/2 burger with bacon, onion ring, cheddar cheese, and more of that special house sauce. I asked her to give me the burger, cheese, bacon , onion, and mayo. With NO RockSalt sauce. The make bartender said that it might come anyway because the kitchen guys do whatever they want. I had the fries with it. What I got was a 1/4 burger tops, I mean 4 bites tops. What's worse is it came with lettuce, tomato, on it beyond the stuff I ordered. Further they included a cup of the dreaded sauce and it had spilled and saturated about a 3rd of my French fries. The barmaid knew I was frustrated over it and helped with some bar napkins . My wife got the Salmon sandwich. It came with what seemed like 4-5 slices of bacon while my burger had 1 slice made into an X on top of the cheese. Anyway ... she said hers was okay. Anyway :... my 2 cents. The pricing really is outrageous. And instruct the kitchen to follow the instructions and if the customer doesn't want the dam Rock Salt sauce then don't put it on the plate. Wastes product that isn't going to be consumed and only bad things can happen with it on the way to the table. I honestly don't see any reason to go back. Probably won't be long before the main stream crowd starts to turn to other options.

Within a few minutes they told us to come in for our 6:30 reservation and when we arrived they said that there was still a wait because the table wasn't ready. We waited about 10 minutes which was okay but if we were going to have to wait 10 minutes inside they should have told us not to come in yet. We started off with an appetizer of the grilled shrimp which were delicious. Big and meaty! We each got a steak smothered, hers with mushrooms and mine with mushrooms and onions. The steak came out as expected and has ordered and mine was still mooing as it was nice and rare the way I like it. My sweet potato came out with plenty of butter brown sugar and cinnamon and was also delicious. My mixed vegetables were good but dripping and butter, not ideal but still tasty. They seem to have a lot of birthdays in this restaurant the night we were there. I like the fact that the birthday person had to sit on the saddle and was sung to by many of the wait stuff. Their menu is wide and varied and you can get not only steaks but pork chops and ribs and seafood and other delicious things. We were both full so we didn't get dessert but the desserts that they brought out looked really good. This is a super popular restaurant and parking was very difficult and we ended up parking in an adjacent lot. Great food, nice atmosphere, a little loud with volume but there were a lot of people seated and waiting to be seated so it's about what I expected. I look forward to coming back in the future. Currently this location is not what it used to be, because the meals my wife and I had last night were terrible. It is really sad that I have to say we will never eat at this restaurant again

Another food runner also deserves recognition because he was incredibly motivated and on top of everything. Their timing was perfect. Braydn seemed to intuitively know exactly when to check on us, refill our drinks, and ask if we were ready to order. She was genuinely friendly and looked like she truly enjoyed her job, which always makes for a better dining experience. We sampled a few cocktails, and my White Cosmo was absolutely delicious! For dinner, I ordered the Oh My Mahi, and "oh my" was exactly my reaction. The moist mahi mahi was served over a bed of saffron rice and topped with an Asian slaw. There were so many layers of flavor, and every bite depended on how you attacked it. I started by dragging my fork through the hoisin sauce and picking up some rice, fish, and slaw all together. The temperature and flavor combinations were remarkable with the hot saffron rice with just a hint of hoisin, the fresh, flaky fish, a pop of ginger, then the cooler, crisp crunch of carrots, cabbage, red onion, red pepper, and I think spinach. Every bite was different, the presentation was beautiful, and the meal was simply amazing. My husband ordered the Papa Burger, a clever play on "jalapeño popper." It featured two flavorful patties topped with bacon, jalapeño jelly, cheddar, cream cheese, sautéed onions, and fresh-cut fries. I stole one bite...then another...then a third! I'm officially renaming it the "Oh My Poppa Burger" because it may have been the best burger I've ever tasted. That says a lot because I'm a traditionalist when it comes to burgers. I'm not even a bacon fan. Yet somehow this combination just worked. What is in that cream cheese, bacon, and jalapeño jelly combo that make this burger so ridiculously good? Next time I'm in a burger mood, I am coming here! But everything looked so good so I may be back before that burger mood strikes. The only reason I'm giving Lost Lion four instead of five stars is that my husband would have loved to add a simple slice of tomato and some lettuce. We were hesitant to ask because we know substitutions can snowball, and we quickly got the impression that the chef preferred not to alter the menu as written. He didn't even dare ask for a side of ranch for the fries after this. If small additions like lettuce or tomato were an option, even for a small upcharge, it would make an already fantastic burger even better for some. That said, between the outstanding service, creative and delicious food, excellent cocktails, and warm ambiance on a Thursday evening, The Lost Lion made a wonderful first impression. We'll definitely be back.

During our visit we heard several birthday cheers, noticed a retirement gathering and for us it was to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. To our surprise, the restaurant created a special dining menu noting our last name and our celebration. I was taken back with that gesture and acknowledgment although it's a testament to the service and care you will experience. This venue and team do the little thing right and will exceed expectations! Regarding the service, it was second to none with multiple staff and waiters at your side. The Smokehouse offers several dining options and host large parties and even weddings. The restaurant is huge and in associated with the historic Atrium 1844 hotel and property nestled on about 25acres. To the food: There are a few options to order from the menu and if you like wine pairing this is the spot. I chose the pairing option for my duck appetizer, scallop dinner and desert although didn't opt for champagne that complemented the surprise chef offering or my dinner salad. My wife had the beet salad, cod entree, dinner salad and orange cake. Every dish was incredibly prepared with no complaints. I envision the kitchen being hustled like the Netflix series, BEAR with echos of, "yes Chef". This was truly a special dining and something I strongly recommend if it's in your budget. The ambiance of the old early American estate is breathtaking and the piano puts you in a calm for the evening of wonderful indulgence. Again, and my opinion reserve this venue for a special affair. Total bill was $270 minus tip. Sounds crazy but if you have the time and wish to create a special touch to a special occasion, the Smokehouse is a sound choice. Note: reservations were 7:15 and we walked out at 9:45. Might want to consider staying at the Atrium at this point.
