I haven't been compelled to write a Yelp review in awhile, but this is the second time in the past 2 months I've had a lousy experience at this Outback, so here I am. First off, I'd like to say that I'm a long time Outback fan, including this location. Prior to Covid, service was great, I was always asked if my steak came out cooked properly and if I answered anything less than yes it's perfect, a manager would come over to apologize and offer to comp it. This was always way more than was necessary and certainly more than I would ever ask, but it shows an example of the level of service given. Fast forward to these past two visits and service has been awful. My servers on each visit have been nonexistent. Tonight our server never even offered or brought drink refills - we had to ask the food runner for our one and only refill. As for the food, the bloomin' onion is about half the size it used to be. It was like this on my last visit before tonight's too, and I thought maybe it was a fluke, but nope, I got served the same sad, small onion as last time. I'm unsure without visiting other locations if this is unique to this location, or some shrinkflation across all Outback's. There also way too much pepper in the steak seasoning on the steaks making them pretty unenjoyable, as well. Perhaps we would've let our server know, but we literally never saw her again after ordering and before paying our check. read more

Garbage! Consistently garbage!! This used to be a quality restaurant. There used to be consistency of quality of their food, that is LONG GONE! Don't ask for a special request either. They'll screw it up or ignore it all together. Outback, you used to cut your cucumbers in a specific way, not anymore. The salad used to be green, now its bottom of the barrel crap iceberg lettuce, more often than not its white or yellow "lettuce". Nothing nutritional about it. Let's talk steak. The quality of your steaks isn't worth the price being asked. It's consistently full of gristle, even the filet. Had a sirloin last night and the entire 8 oz. steak was one big fatty piece of gristle! It wasn't edible. Outback used to be a name brand you could count on for quality. Long gone are those days. Think it's time to say goodbye, Outback! I will spend my money elsewhere. read more

Good ole Outback! (Was our second choice) Okay...food was decent. The shrimp and lobster bites appetizer was excellent. I should have ordered my own. The waiter Darren was not feeling his job today. Couldn't get him to smile for nothing. His service was ok and got a even better when informed that I was an elite Yelper. I ordered the ribeye steak medium well with salad wedge and grilled asparagus. The only problem was the over dressed salad didn't have enough bacon bits to counter sweet balsamic vinaigrette. The waiter did bring more bacon. My Sister ordered the seafood platter which came with a lobster tail, skewered shrimp, and two crab cakes again with an overdressed salad wedge and grilled asparagus. The crab cakes were burnt, bland and filled with bread crumbs. My friend ordered the prime rib cooked to medium well, Cesar salad, and loaded baked potato which was hardly "loaded". My wife and I normally love this place. But when we visited the Woodbridge, VA location, I ordered the Ribeye and Shrimp combo. I have to say that I have never experienced a steak with that much gristle at a place that is supposedly known for their steaks. I felt like I wasted my time and money. The food here was so bad omg!!!! I ordered the steak medium rare and it came rare.. it tasted like it was poached and eat bote felt like i was chewing on wet paper towels. The pasta tasted like it as drenched in butter i couldve gotten diabetes the service was VERY good, i forget her name but she was very sweet and understanding. The food and service were both great! Our waitress, Kay, was wonderful and stopped by many times throughout the meal just to see how it was going. The food was better than what I've experienced at other Outbacks. Broccoli & cheese is a tasty side. Very disappointed in this Outback experience. I love the outback, it was one of my moms favorite places to take us as a kid and somewhere I typically love going. Unfortunately, this location just does not have it together. A friend and I did a reservation for late lunch today for my birthday. Apparently this does not actually give you a table at the specified time, but puts you at the front of the waitlist when you check in. I have used this feature before and always been seated immediately at other locations. Here, however, We were told it would be ten minutes and to wait outside. At fifteen minutes, we headed back inside to check on our wait time and were told that they had been paging me for at least 5 minutes and our table was ready. I received the original text confirming the waitlist but not any texts after. If our table was ready and we didn't come inside after a few minutes, I think the appropriate response would be to call, not just say that they texted me (when they clearly didn't). My friend and I did not make a big fuss out of this and were led to a table. Where we sat for fifteen minutes with no service. At that point, I went to the host stand to see if we were seated in a section without a server and as he was reviewing the seating chart, she finally walked up. We had been waiting for half an hour so we ordered drinks, an app, and our meals all at the same time. The server dropped our drinks and app, then we didn't see her again until she delivered our meals, which were wrong. When asked to correct it, it took 3 more tries to receive the items we requested. At the end we weren't even given the opportunity to tell her it was my birthday and just given the checks. I'm not sure if this outback is always like this, but I would recommend trying elsewhere. read more

We had the 15oz ribeye with seasoned rice and potatoes. Steak was dry and not cooked to order. Seemed like it was frozen with a odd flavor. Waitress was great so I didn't want to complain and make things weird. Who ever was cooking the steaks yesterday October 1st needs some training. I make steak all the time and felt bad for who ever cooked ours. Burger was also dry and over cooked. I just hope they get better because the Outback in Stafford is great. read more

The Family and I decided to stop in on an impromptu visit to the Outback Steakhouse located on Potomac Mills road in Woodbridge to have lunch. The one drink that we both decided to try was the Bloody Mary (Picture attached).. My compliments to the Bar Tender, we had it a little spicy mixed with Tito's vodka and they added (at request) olives and a piece of bacon on the side. AMAZING!! It's hard to find a good Bloody Mary... We ordered the Victoria's Filet Mignon & Lobster and Roasted Garlic Shrimp Topped Filets with fries on the side. I love me some steak however, I do not like to see pink, I know I Know. I am a WELL DONE type of guy, I was pretty impressed with how juicy both stakes came out although they were ordered well done. The rest of the course was phenomenal, no complaints. The Customer Service was amazing, we were seated pretty quickly and our waiter was pretty attentive continuously checking on us from the beginning until the end. What I like about him is that he was super friendly, made jokes with my Son and made the experience worth repeating itself. Great Lunch! read more

After calling ahead for a party of 8 once we arrived (on time) at the restaurant and waited 10 mins at host station we were informed they were unable to accommodate us due to lack of servers. We were informed it would be an hour wait at the very least. Why we weren't informed when we called ahead is beyond me. Do better Outback. read more

Wasn't busy at all when we got here. Took them 15 minutes to get our drinks. Didn't get a refill for 30 minutes. I ordered the burger with just ketchup and it came out with pickles. instead of making a new burger or a new bun they just took the pickles off. Horrible service. I got my name down for the call ahead list. Which is good because it was a busy Saturday night! We checked in and there was still a bunch of hangry people waiting to get seated. I know what it's like to stand between people and then eating... *host days*. I got lucky and found two seats at the bar, which we decided was a better idea than waiting. We only went here because we heard someone say Blooming Onion and I had to satisfy the craving. We ordered drinks and the Blooming Petal, a smaller version of the Blooming Onion, but get the craving satisfied. It's really a bunch of fried onion pieces. Ordered delivery, which understandably isn't the best way to eat their food. However- delivery or not, the 2 items I ordered (awesome blossom + tilapia) were over salted and I couldn't finish them. This location is okay, but not great. We ordered a Bloomin' Onion as an appetizer, which the server forgot about until after our meals had arrived (this is the second time this has happened). They removed the item from our bill, but the manager did not stop by the table to apologize. While our server was very friendly, service was a little on the slow side even though there weren't very many people eating in the restaurant. Our steaks were cooked correctly and had good flavor, but it really isn't anything special in terms of seasoning or premium products. Had service gone smoothly without the forgotten food order, I would have rated 3 stars. read more

I went here a while back and forget to add a review. The place is just okay. I think the food is super overpriced and the drinks were not good at all. The only reason it gets 3 stars and not two was because the app was really good and the crab cakes tasted good as well. The service was super meh as well. They weren't memorable and they didn't really try and upsell anything. They were just doing an average job. Some of the drinks were awful and I was surprised they didn't just take it off our bill. I mean, I guess it was okay. But we wanted to send it back. Instead they just made a new one and charged us for both of them? It was kind of weird considering we didn't even fully finish the first drink. The portions you get here are pretty massive as well so that was an upside! I think the food tasted pretty good. It wasn't the best, but it was definitely better than like a TGIFS or a Ruby Tuesday. It was more expensive though. When it came time to do the bill, my dining companions wanted to use some outback steakhouse card or something to get points. Since she forgot to give the card the second we got the bill, we were unable to use the points. I find that weird because bill would still be open even after we swiped the card because you would still need to add tip. So that was something that I really didn't like. So many other restaurants would have still been able to apply the points even if you gave the rewards card after swiping the credit card. I probably won't come back because of the problems we had but it's not a bad place. read more

When I told the curbside worker that my date had canceled on me, she immediately tried to comfort me and took off his food, no questions asked. She added this slice of cake, no charge and when I saw it in my bad, I was cheered up. The workers at this Outback go above and beyond to satisfy and take care of their customers. The day after the previous disappointing experience, we called and left a message for the manager so they could receive direct feedback on our experience. A couple of days passed without contact so we went to the restaurant directly to speak with a manager and happened to be received by the NEW proprietor. He was very professional, listened to the entirety of our experience, apologized and offered to comp the next meal. We felt he was sincere in his desire to fix the experience so we went back today and placed the exact same order. Our experience this time was very much improved. The phone order went smoothly on the first call, we arrived about 20 mins later and the food was ready 5 mins after we parked, they brought it out and we had another good chat with the NEW proprietor. This go around, the wings were still good, both ribeyes were cooked to what we had asked. Sides were were packaged, and burgers were tasty/warm and filling. All in all, a much better experience where we would definitely return in the future. Hopefully, this location continues this trend under the new proprietor and sustains this level of service and quality of food. I hope other Yelpers give him and this restaurant another chance and provide honest feedback. Best of luck! read more

A bug came out of our app. I told the manager. He was walking fast took a used napkin and picked it up. (Napkin from a table he just cleaned off) and walked away "okay I'll make a deduction." He didn't apologize or stop to talk with us. This is absolutely gross. He obviously did not care enough and seemed mad to take the app off the bill. Ok...oddly I'm updating this review a year after, but that wasn't intentional. I've been back to Outback a few times and have been wowed each time since my OG review. Maybe the GM changed? Whatever the case may be, Outback is a new staple in my limited rotation. Signed up for their rewards, which includes other restaurants I'm not familiar with, and you earn something (I forget what) every 4 visits. Oh, and, Kay is the best of the best.
