Service is 10/10! Have to start there. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Low light on the inside so it gives an intimate vibes. Parking can be a challenge, especially on busy nights in the area. The menu has something for everyone and a nice selection of wines and drinks. The catfish strips are amazing. Breaded to perfection and the sauce that comes with it is a perfect match. Good for an evening after work, a night out with the family or a date night with your partner. Most items are also priced fairly. The location is in lake view and good location to walk to local bar or get ice cream from across the street.

Ambiance and service were great. Parking wasn't a hassle. Garlic bread: 10/10; best thing I put in my mouth; goes great with sauce from BBQ shrimp Half Roasted chicken: 9/10; was quite full before entrees, but this was quite tasty the following day. Heated in air fryer, and it was moist, tender, and flavorful. Skin was crispy. Cheesy grits: 9/10; these were creamy, cheesy, and tasty Red Fish: Have to follow up with my wife BBQ shrimp: 7/10; wasn't crazy about the shrimp, and didn't like the sourdough bread at all. Sauce was good, though Crab Rangoon dip: 7/10; wontons were light and crispy; dip was tangy, but I don't remember tasting crabmeat Fried ribs: 7/10; tender, juicy, nice crust, but meat needed more seasoning

We went during happy hour and had a very pleasant experience. I had the chicken fried steak with a jalapeño and tasso sauce that was great on a bed of cheese grits. They have a good line up of altered old fashioneds so that was exciting for me, it's one of my favorite classic cocktails. I could tell the grits got done too soon because they were a little too cool, but otherwise everything was great. Our server was very attentive and excited to have us sitting in our section with everyone else gravitating towards the bar during happy hour, so that was nice.

I decided to come here for my sisters birthday after seeing the dessert board that they call the celebration. It was the kind of extra i was looking for. We started with an appetizer. We got the crab Rangoon dip and it was pretty good. I really liked the chips that were made out of fried wonton wrappers. We got drinks. I don't remember what they were called but the cocktails are really good. For my meal I got a soup and the wasabi oyster Cesar salad. I didn't taste wasabi in the oysters but they were very tasty. My sister got red fish which was just ok. She said she would try something else next time. We ended with the celebration board. It was so cute and the individual desserts were so good. As 3 people we definitely couldn't eat that. We took the majority of it home. The service was average. And the ambiance was nice. Especially the outside area.

My friend made reservations for her bday. I had recently seen this place on IG. It looked like it could be a vibe. The menu looks great! I mean when reading the menu you can imagine eating everything. However the food was underwhelming at best. The service was weird as well. Our server seemed to be checked out a little bit. I had the lent special pasta sauce over angel hair pasta. It had potential no seasoning I had to add a lot of salt. I had the crab soup. So rich but no taste. The fried ribs were ok. No seasoning. The onion rings were the bomb. Even my coke was flat ..... Idk if I would go back

The service here is TOP TIER! I went here on a whim with a friend for brunch and it did not disappoint. I was studying afterwards but i would have loved to try their drinks as they had SO many different ones. We split a tuna melt & a surf & turf and they were both delicious! Tuna melt was for sure my favorite one. A great shareable would be the crab Rangoon dip! For sureeee also recommend the onion rings so good

First time trying Outpost 45 and it was a treat. Once Mondo closed (another fav) I didn't add this venue to my list, but so happy I finally tried them. I was pleasantly surprised. Tried several appetizers and a bottle of Meiomi for the evening and it was truly worth it. There is also a great happy hour during the week, drink specials so I will definitely be back to try more. I love the bar area and vibe of the restaurant. The staff was super friendly and service was on point. I tried the crab wonton dip, debris fries, onion rings and ribs - all so good. There are a few more I'll try out when I go back. Next I want to try the mufalatta eggrolls - they looked so yummy. Menu items: Crab Rangoon Ribs

I went here for a late lunch for a friend's birthday. The menu is a decent size and some has some standard brunch fare, but we got the crab rangoon dip which was very good! There are lots of fun cocktails on the menu and I ended up with a strawberry/gin concoction. The hangover bowl was huge and perfect whether you're hungover or not. We went during a Saints game, but we were seated immediately. We were seated near a semi-private area that was occupied by a party. They were kind of loud, but if we weren't next to them, then it would have been decent level of noise. It's a good spot to keep in mind when you need something different than your regular spots.

Followed this place on Instagram for a while, and decided to try it out with my cousins. We made reservations online for a Saturday Brunch. My cousin has a nut and a fish allergy, so she put that in the notes for the reservation. Once we arrived we were seated quickly at a booth. It wasn't crowded that day, but I'd still say make reservations just in case. Our waitress was nice and attentive. She mentioned that she saw a fish and nut allergy in the reservation so she asked who was allergic so she could make sure to tell the kitchen when putting in the dishes. I was thoroughly impressed when she said that. Two of my cousins ordered the hangover bowl, I ordered the outpost grit cakes with an order of scrambled eggs, and my other cousin ordered the salmon. I also ordered the Trainwreck (I think this was the name, I just know it had pineapple and coconut in it). Food didn't take too long to come out and it was all hot (which I was grateful for because I don't like warm food). I enjoyed my food, but I think my eggs were a little over cooked as you can see the brown spots on it. My cousins who had the bowl said that they were surprised with how much meat was in, but they wish it would've had some more potatoes rather than the extra meat. My other cousin enjoyed her salmon as well. We went in January so it was kind of chilly outside, but I'd definitely go back in the spring or fall so I could sit outside, since they have a lot of outdoor seating. Also, looking forward to visiting them for dinner, as there are some other items I'd like to try. Food was good and so were the prices.

Another birthday celebration with the family! We had a reservation for 11, and were nicely accommodated in an area slightly away from everyone else. As soon as our full party arrived, we were quickly seated. In the meantime, we ordered drinks from the bar trying to take advantage of the last minute happy hour specials. The waitress was attentive and patient. We ordered and food came out relativity quickly to say it was a Friday night and the restaurant was packed. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the waitress was a bit challenged with meeting our expectations and understanding our request Jen it came to settling the bill. We worked it out amongst ourselves but we had to explain what we needed a few times to her. I'll definitely go back.

First timer here during happy hour. Nice bar area and we ordered drinks, awesome, the food not so much. The food was kind of bland and "old tasting" but the Bar tender was really nice! And it wasn't her fault, but the food could've been better in my opinion.

This place is adorable. It has outdoor seating with astroturf to give you the feel of sitting in a garden and indoors is dimly lit and comfortable. They have metal shelving hanging above the bar with the extra alcohol bottles, which I loved, because you can see what they have at a glance. We started off with the orange julius margaritas, which did remjnd me of orange julius at the mall, just needs a tiny bit more orange flavor. My friend tore up the orange slice garnish and muddled it into the drink. My friend had the she crab soup and I had to taste it. It was amazing! I will go back for this next time. So good! My meal was the fillmore scramble (eggs with tomatoes, scallions, shitake mushrooms, spinach and feta), spict cheesy grits and a biscuit. It was super tasty. I did have to ask for butter and jelly for my biscuit, which seemed weird, because no one I know eats a biscuit with nothing on it. We shared the bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream and it was also wonderful. Most of the staff came over at some point and had a chat with us, which I enjoyed. They do have a mimosa flight, which looked pretty good too.

The place looks really good! The ambiance is so cute! You sort of feel like you're on a ranch but throw a splash of Hollywood in there. Had the hangover bowl as my meal, but it was lacking in flavor. I also believe the brisket was overcooked. A few of the potatoes were hard and undercooked as well. The grits had a good flavor though. The drinks were perfect! I had the Orange Julius Margarita, which really brought back childhood memories of having Orange Juliuses. I also had the Violet Beauregarde, which was a nice blend of tequila, blueberry, and taste!

Both taste great and have a nice amount of spirits in them. This is a must try in NOLA. Will definitely return!!

We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside.
