Everything is fresh and the menu consists of your typical diner staples. The prices are rock bottom and make this a great bang for the buck given the quality. Most importantly, you're always felt welcome and part of the family. I'm a big fan of their biscuits and sausage gravy, which I think is one of the best in town. Have dropped off packages at UPS and seen the Cafe to many times to mention. Looked at reviews of 4 stars and decided one day on my way to work to order. Was not disappointed in the least. From the initial call to pick up the experience was great. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette, cooked easy, crispy tots and a grilled biscuit. I love Sunday mornings here! Always greeted with hugs and smiles. Robert (chef) and Terri are the openers with the morning regulars sitting at the counter. YES!!! One of the few cafes left with a counter that isn't a chain and employees who hate their jobs. Now if your looking for gourmet food this isn't your place. Looks like I was the butt of their joke this morning. I entered and was the only one in the place. The young man took my order. I asked for scrambled eggs and he asked if I wanted cheese on the eggs. I said no. He said he was only "joking" and he and the young woman behind the counter started giggling. My order was given to me by the man cooking at the grill. The eggs came with cheese! I said I was sorry and that I did not order cheese. He then took the plate and in an annoyed manner put the plate in front of the young man who took my order and the other young woman who giggled about the "cheese joke" when my order was taken. They both looked at each other in silence and then the young man looked at me. What was that all about? Did he put cheese on the order slip? Or was the cook trying to make a point. I realize this may seem minor but the incident and all of their behavior, made me uncomfortable. A customer being the butt of a joke or put in the middle of an private employee battle is not ok! That is the last time I will set foot in that place. I will stick with the Courtyard. read more

My experience here is quite poor. I had similar experience as previous patron. Very loud and over bearing owner/manager. At one one time upon entry she blocked the door while putting up a poster. While waiting patiently not once did she note that I was an actual patron coming in to pay for service. She actually admonished me for waiting on her to unblock the entrance. On my next visit, same over bearing person quickly ordered my adherence to use sanitizer at front table although she did not observe my use of it as soon as I entered. Her attention seem to be very high on directing me. Very unwelcoming. Next visit, my order was taken by a very nice gentleman who took all of my previous orders and I tipped generously. The staff then brought my order incomplete and after 2 requests attempted to bring the drink and coffee after my meal was completed and was on the way out. II have always been polite and cordial. How can anyone not be a fan of this place? It's just a diner one might think, but it's more than that. It's a place where friendly locals make friends, meet each others and engage in conversation over a simple breakfast or lunch, nicely prepared on a six foot hot grill right in front of you while you wait. It doesn't take long before you get to know the names of others and others get to know your name too. Easy Over, to me, exemplifies the American Diner tradition of enjoying fairly simple food at a budget price while catching up on the local gossip and indulging in the American bottomless cup of coffee. Yes, you're probably going to hear about someones husbands recent heart attack, the death of an uncle, the story of a small time lottery winner, some Guy's bad rap for drunken driving, and that so and so's wife was caught cheating, but that's all part of the diner experience and part of what they are about. The service is super friendly and as far as food goes, of much better proportion and quality than are most diners. This isn't the typical greasy spoon and they have a number of specials such as the Cuban Omelet, thin grilled hash browns and other such items rarely seen in other Lauderdale diners. read more

I typically don't give 3 stars but there were three glaring things. 1. The owner and the cook did not wear gloves and handled ready to eat foods with bear hands. I never saw either one wash hands and she had just coming in the door from a delivery. Did not wash her hands and started cooking and shouting stuff! Yuck! 2. My red skin potatoes were raw and crunchy. Not great for home fries. 3. I sat at the counter by the dishwasher, the one waiter threw stuff in the 4 my food was ok. Eggs were not fluffy scrambled but omelette style. I wanted scrambled not flat folded over like an thin chewy omelette. I won't be back, too many other great choices for breakfast. I had lunch here with a friend today and couldn't believe what I saw going on. The kid who took brought water had really dirty black pants and a red t-shirt on. Another woman brought the food which was actually good. The reason I'd never go back is that some woman whose job wasn't at all apparent carried on a conversation from behind the counter at public address system volume with people in booths perhaps 20 feet away. And people in booths were just as loud talking/yelling back to her. She welcomed new customers and did other stuff at the same volume. In some places, people eating together can't hear each other because of loud music or because theres a large crowd and bad acoustics. In this place you can't hear yourself think because of one person with no manners and no 'inside voice' Shes ten times more annoying than the wife in the couple that owns Andrews Diner. Over Easy? Do not come to this place thirsty! We asked for our drinks to be refilled and at the end, a cup to go and you would have thought it the worst thing the servers had to do ever. They were extremely rude when asked for anything and causing a scene behind the bar. Speaking so loud about our table. I'm just appalled at how rude and openly disrespectful the server was. On a side not the burgers we had were good and the lettuce was fresh. But you will not see me back after the horrendous attitudes of the staff!! Just not a good experience. Our first impression was immediate as we entered the café. We immediately smelled a strong odor of moth balls. That should have been our sign to turn around and go elsewhere. We specifically came here because I researched breakfast places that serve creamed chipped beef. I didn't see it and therefor asked our server. We were told it is only served on weekends. My wife asked for eggs benedict. Again, only served on weekends. So, my wife asked for poached eggs and was told she could have basted eggs. I ended up getting an omelet which was average, and my wife got the basted eggs and some corned beef hash. The basted eggs were average, and the portion of hash was a smaller portion than we have received and many other restaurants. The restaurant was loud as well. We will not be going back. read more

Everything is really good. sure, you can get a better bagel at Chesapeake, but the bagels here are good enough and everything else is on point. I work next door to this place and pop by at least once a day for coffee, if not a full breakfast! Kathy makes the BEST pies and baked goods in all of south Florida. Always a very clean environment with an open kitchen so you get to see everything being made fresh. Fantastic daily specials so even if you're there as often as I am, you won't get tired of the menu. All of that coupled with all of the awesome people who work there make this place 12 stars for me!!! But unfortunately yelp limits me to only 5 stars haha. We were regulars here...every weekend like clockwork. Haven't been in probably a year now. I got so sick and tired of Michael (I think that's his name, their son)..."what do you want"...rolled his eyes when I asked for chocolate milk, heaven forbid a little effort has to go into getting drinks. I am definitely going to have to come back here and give it a second chance, but based on my first experience I was really put off. The main thing that bothered me was the over charging. I ordered a broccoli and cheddar omelette. I changed the cheddar to american and they charged me a dollar for the change. They also charged each of us an extra dollar for a biscuit instead of toast, after they told us we could supplement it. So a 7.50 omelette came to be 9.50, with no extra additions. It's not that big of a difference but it still kind of bothered me. These omelettes are very thin so they have a more fried flavor than other restaurants I go to. Mine was very runny on the inside, which made it inedible for me. The biscuits were good and so were the homefries. My boyfriends hashbrowns reminded me of the ones at Denny, but he seemed to like the omelette. The coffee was good, although I had to walk up to the counter to get a refill. The staff was very friendly and inviting. The woman, who I presume owns it, asked us how we found them and seemed generally interested in if we enjoyed the meal. I didn't have the heart to tell her about the eggs, but I probably should have. I did like the small business feel of it. read more

This is a little gem. Very clean, affordable, and the food tastes homemade. When I was there over the weekend I ordered biscuits and gravy, eggs over easy, and grits. The gravy really tasted like sausage and I even detected a hint of sage. Delicious. My eggs were cooked perfectly. My husband ordered a meal with bacon. We have visited twice so far and have every intention of returning again. The first visit was just thirty minutes from closing time and the service was excellent and not rushed at all. The food was excellent and the staff was pleasant. We went back today with my in-laws for breakfast. Wow! Business was booming!! These guys are super busy around 10:00 am!! We had a short wait because we needed a booth but there was space at the counter. My mother in law has Alzheimer's and in spite of their busy day they didn't make her feel rushed to choose a meal. The server came back to check on us a number of times but we never felt rushed to order. (thanks!) We ordered two different omelettes and blueberry waffles. Everything was tasty and hot. The coffee refills came pretty quickly. I am not a fan of the orange juice though. The service was excellent! Also...you can drop off food for the Wilton Manors Kiwanis Backpack program. On Thursday's she makes homemade turkey dinners with all the fixings, plus pie $13.95 you cannot beat that. All meats and poultry comes daily fresh from "Smithy 's Meat Market". Breakfast and lunch, both great, and prices are reasonable, where else can you get a cheese burger with choice of salad of the day or fries, tots etc. for $6.95? Everyone is family here!
